Unstable Amalgamations are worth percentage, but the extra blobs that spawn when they multiply on death are not.
-> You can mark the two amalgamations pictured and when both are dead have your entire party run out of the instance and then zone back in. The result is both oozes dead, and no extra blobs to deal with.
-> Make sure to interrupt Ooze Explosion with Stuns and Displacement abilities to prevent damage.
This is quite a difficult skip but the pack is slow to kill and not worth much. Stick closely to the wall and remain there until you're comfortably past the mobs. You can pop an invisibility potion if it's necessary (but it shouldn't be).
If your end up pulling them anyway, focus down the Acidic Ooze and then repeat the reset trick once the amalgamations are down to avoid the smaller blobs.
The Dreadborne Seer has two spells:
- Eye of the Beast will summon a small eyeball that'll beam random party members. You can't dodge the beam, however you need to be spread out so that each beam only hits one person.
- Prophecies of Doom hits all targets within 40 yards for heavy shadow damage. This can be outranged, and line of sighted since they are immune to stun.
- You can interrupt their casts with Death Grip.
These mobs are pretty rough, and you should save healer cooldowns to get through them smoothly.
Jump off the stairs to the left and pull the small Scavenger pack. Give the tank half a second to grab some threat since they deal heavy single target damage by throwing various objects.
Next, grab the triple Chaosbringer pack to the left. These are easily killed, but should be locked down. They have four abilities:
- Chaos Bolt: Heavy single target damage. Can be spell reflected.
- Brand of the Legion: Always cast on another mob in the pack. Can be spellstolen, purged or interrupted.
- Portal: Argus: Summons a pack of imps. This should be interrupted.
- Demonic Ascension: This puts a buff on the mob and if they die with it they'll transform into a much larger, very dangerous demon. You must interrupt or purge this.
Chaosbringers can be Enslaved by Warlocks, which gives you access to the Brand of the Legion buff for the entire instance!!
Finally, grab the Priestess of Misery. Don't stand in her whirlwind and she's easily killed. You can grab the subsequent Felblades at the same time if the patrol timing is good.
- Tip: You can stop her whirlwind by stunning her channel.
The Wrathguard Felblades will teleport to random party members and inflict them with Searing Wound which must be healed through. Use your defensive cooldowns to lessen the load for your healer. The Felguard destroyer mostly just deals heavy tank damage and should be stunned if they're buffed by one of the Chaosbringer's Brand of the Legions.
You can line of sight the Seer on the side of the wall.
Watch out for the patrolling mobs when you pull the Seer.
The Enchanted Broodlings are harmless until they die at which point they explode. Pick up all three packs and bring them back to the hallway to AoE them down. The Manafang packs will drop down as each pack dies so you don't want to be in the room when the Broodlings die.
The first pack of Manafangs that drop down will contain 3 mobs, the second 4 and the third 5. Pull them one pack at a time since Devour is difficult to deal with if you have too many mobs. Their single cast is Devour which roots the target in place and deals a moderate amount of damage. You can interrupt the channel by stunning them, or shapeshifting.
Neither of these mob types are very dangerous though Siphon Essence is best dispelled. Avoid the purple clouds.
Behind you you'll find another set of Fiends. These are easy trash percentage.
More of the same. The Manawraith pats back and forth and we won't be needing to kill him.
These packs contain two, very dangerous types of mobs:
- Reclaimers, who'll drop a large haste zone on the floor that the mobs must be moved out of (make sure you stand in it yourself) and Eye of the Vortex which if not interrupted will quickly kill off your party.
- The Spellswords are much less dangerous. They'll put up a shield from time to time but otherwise can just be AoE'd down.
Your priority is to kill the Reclaimer as soon as possible (but let him drop a haste zone first).
You should pull Corstilaxx immediately after the trash is dead so you can make use of the Haste Zone. It is possible to keep a Reclaimer up during the boss however this is very dangerous because a missed Eye of the Vortex can lead to a quick wipe.
Interrupt Arcane Reconstitution as priority since it's a full heal. Phase Breach deals heavy AoE damage and should be interrupted if possible. It can also be outranged and line of sighted.
The Mana Wyrm pack is best pulled and then Line of Sighted around the corner of the wall. You can then AoE them down easily.
Line of Sight the left Mana Wyrm pack on the bridge to bring them together. You won't need the pack to the right unless you've avoided all Forgotten Spirits. Grab them if you still need more than 6.1% trash after the left side is clear.
The mobs here will disappear once you hit 100% trash.

The Acidic Bile will jump to random allies periodically and you should keep your distance.
The Plagued Rats are an awful pack with the rats attacking enemies at random and stacking Black Plague. Stun them, and try and kill them before they start attacking things. Most of their damage comes from Black Plague which can be removed by some healing classes. Keep yourself alive.
The Withered mobs aren't very dangerous though Siphon Essence is best dispelled. Avoid the purple clouds.
Next up, pull the double Warp Shade pack. Interrupt Arcane Reconstitution as priority since it's a full heal. Phase Breach deals heavy AoE damage and should be interrupted if possible. It can also be outranged and line of sighted.
The Arcane Anomaly isn't too dangerous, though you need to kill off the Astral Sparks very quickly before they annihilate your melee (they pulse AoE damage). Getting hit by Arcane Slicer is quite a silly way to die (but we've all done it).
The Mana Wyrm pack is best pulled and then Line of Sighted around the corner of the wall. You can then AoE them down easily. Both sides will pull together.
Line of Sight the left Mana Wyrm pack on the bridge to bring them together. Grab the pack to the right if you're doing the Demon Hunter / Stealth skip later in the instance.

You'll only need this pack if you're doing the Shaman / Stealth skip later in the instance. Make sure you grab the Manawraith with the fiends. It's a patrol.
While none of these mobs are particularly dangerous, pulling both packs at once is often too much.
This is easy trash percentage.

Here the path diverges into two depending on if you have a Shaman (Elemental / Resto), Hunter (BM / SV) or Druid (any).
Skip option 1: A Shaman uses Gust of Wind to get from the stairs to the small pylon (pictured). 15 seconds later they jump to the left and then Gust of Wind over to Xakals platform. The rest of the party pulls some mobs and dies and then the healer mass resses everyone up on the platform. The shaman skip is easy to repeat but does take some practice to get it right the first time.
Skip option 2: A Druid or Hunter stealths through the trash from here to Xakal and then resurrects from his platform. This is slower than having a Shaman, but still faster than actually clearing through the trash. The skip is always recommended if you have the composition to do so. The Hunter will require a pet with a res and it'll have to be off cooldown.
You can no longer Swapblast in instances which makes the old Demon Hunter skip impossible.
If you skipped, then clear the pack in front of you. We don't need to clear the tunnel patrol but watch out for it during the boss fight. After Xakal is dead, proceed to Advisor Vandros. You can skip to the final trash slide.
If you didn't skip, more to the next slide.
This slide assumes that you were not able to use the Demon Hunter / Stealth skip and so will clear to Xakal.
After the seer is dead, take either the left or right path and watch your positioning. Another Seer waits for you on the staircase.
Pull the small Scavenger pack. Give the tank half a second to grab some threat since they deal heavy single target damage by throwing various objects.
The Felguard destroyer mostly just deals heavy tank damage and should be stunned if they're buffed by one of the Chaosbringer's Brand of the Legions.
Finally, grab the Priestess of Misery. Don't stand in her whirlwind and she's easily killed. You can grab the subsequent Felblades at the same time if the patrol timing is good.
- Tip: You can stop her whirlwind by stunning her channel.
You can line of sight the Seer on the side of the wall.
You'll need both of these packs if you did the Demon Hunter / Stealth skip and they're pretty easy percentage.
Affixes
Let's take a look at notable affix interactions in Arcway.
The Unstable Oozes trigger Bolster, but the smaller oozelings do not.
Near the start there's a mini-RP event where the slimes will kill two Withered. If you pull the slimes before they kill the Withered, the Withered dying will trigger two stacks of Bolster on the remaining pack. Wait until the Withered die before you enter combat with the pack to avoid the stacks.
The Plague Rat pack becomes disgustingly difficult with Bursting since the rats really need to die as soon as possible which doesn't mesh well with Bursting. You're usually best off just killing them all at the same time and having your healer pop everything but they can be kited if you've got strong ranged DPS.
The Unstable Oozes trigger Bursting, but the smaller oozelings do not.
Don't pull too many spiderlings at once!
A number of mobs in here are pretty tough with Grievous: Dreadborne Seers, Forgotten Spirits, General Xakal and the second phase of Vandros are all notable and you should save your healing cooldowns for them where possible.
The Dreadborne Seers Prophecies of Doom cast will one shot your party when Raging but they can cast it pretty frequently so to handle this you're going to either bring a DK tank who can interrupt it, or you're going to tank it near a wall and Line of Sight any Prophecies casts below 30% health.

Make sure there's no Fel Fissures around you when Wicked Slam hits. It'll knock you back and you don't want to get punted into anything.
Wicked Slam has no range, but can be dodged (the stat!) for some reason. It's pretty hard to take advantage of this unless you're a Rogue (evasion), Demon Hunter (Blade Dance) or tank.
You'll want to use defensive cooldowns for Wicked Slam on high keys since it does reach one shot territory.
On Necrotic, Consider CC'ing / kiting the bats instead of having the tank pick them up. They add a lot of stacks, and don't really hit that hard so it's ok if a ranged DPS takes a hit.

Vicious Manafangs can mostly be cleaved / multi-dotted but you'll want to clear the room of any prior to Blink Strikes.
Pop defensive / movement cooldowns during Tangled Web. The healer needs to be prepared to channel heavy healing into both targets and they should be topped off before the debuff goes out. You need to be 30 yards apart to break the web.
If you are already moving when Blink Strikes begins you should never be hit by it. She'll cast it twice in a row on random targets. She always appears behind her target's back.

Minimize the space taken up by the Nether Link pools by coordinating an ally to blink / sprint towards. Make sure you don't drop any pools on the boss since he's a bit of a pain to move.
Overcharge Mana should be interrupted as absolute priority. Any Arcane Blasts you can interrupt are bonuses.

Interrupt Accelerating Blast and kite the boss clockwise around the room to stay clear of the floating chrono shards which will explode 8 seconds after being summoned. On a high key you only need to get hit by a couple of them to die so utmost care must be taken.
Avoid standing on top of the Force Bomb when it explodes. You can use blink abilities to easily reposition through the force fields.
You can usually reapply DoTs to the boss as he casts Banish in Time. Other times he'll stun you during the cast.
The following picture demonstrates the best path to take during the intermission phase.
If you're low on health, avoid standing within 15 yards of the Timeless Wraith to greatly reduce the damage you're taking during the phase.
Stay spread out during the second phase to avoid kiting Unstable Mana into any allies. It will always target a DPS if one is alive so tanks / healers needn't move.
Affix Details
For more information on any particular affix, click on the corresponding tab below.
Enemies who die will buff other nearby enemies with
激励
, causing them to gain 20% health and deal 20% additional damage. This can stack multiple times, resulting in an extremely dangerous enemy that will take a long time to defeat. The range on the buffing ability is 30 yards in 7.2. In addition, mobs affected by the
激励
buff will become immune to many types of CC (though they are still vulnerable to stuns).
This affix causes the end of a trash fight to be more dangerous than the start. Players should follow these general guidelines:
Do not pull multiple trash packs at once, so that the maximum stack size of
激励
stays low
Attempt to DPS the enemies down evenly
However, if there is a priority target, such as the Wrathguard Bladelord in Black Rook Hold, it may still be beneficial to focus fire and kill these targets first
The healer will need to use cooldowns on the tank if possible when an enemy has high stacks of
激励
The
激励
affix does not apply to adds in a boss encounter. For example, killing the Risen Warriors in the Mythic+ Ymiron fight in Maw of Souls should not apply
激励
to Ymiron or any of the other Risen Warriors. However, if players drag trash packs into a boss fight, those trash mobs will apply
激励
to the boss when they die. This is undesirable. If players wish to save time by dragging trash into a boss fight, be sure to pull the trash more than 30 yards away from the boss before killing it.
Successful melee attacks will apply the
死疽溃烂
debuff to the struck player, reducing the potency of healing and absorption shields by 3% per stack, and dealing stacking damage. The
死疽溃烂
debuff lasts for 9 seconds in 7.2, but the duration of the debuff is refreshed each time a new stack is applied, so it will be very difficult for tanks to drop their stacks while actively in combat.
死疽溃烂
is removed upon dropping combat.
This can stack very rapidly on large trash packs, and can be a nuisance on boss fights. Players should follow these general guidelines:
Do not pull multiple trash packs at once
Use AoE CCs, such as stuns, knockbacks, and slows, to allow the tank to kite effectively at high stacks of
死疽溃烂
During boss fights, a non-tank player with a taunt ability can taunt the boss away from the tank to allow
死疽溃烂
to fall off
At very high Keystone levels, groups may wish to bring two tanks to help manage the
死疽溃烂
debuff.
When the
震荡
affix is active, at random times throughout the dungeon (regardless of combat) all players will receive the
践踏
debuff and upon expiry inflict damage and interrupting active spell casts to themselves and nearby allies.
践踏
can apply when running between bosses and will continue to occur after the dungeon is completed. If your party's composition is melee heavy, make sure to spread out the circles whenever
践踏
is applied.
The
暴怒
affix causes enemies to
激怒
at 30% health, dealing 100% additional damage until they are defeated.
When this affix is active, AoE and cleave damage can be dangerous. Be sure to mark a priority target in each pull, and when that target
激怒
s, focus fire to bring it down quickly. Stuns and other forms of CC can be used to reduce the damage the party will take from
激怒
d mobs.
A pool of Sanguine IchorWhenever a non-boss enemy dies, a pool of
鲜血脓液
forms at its location. This spell has two effects:
鲜血脓液
heals enemies standing within it for 5% of their health each second
鲜血脓液
deals damage to players standing within it for 15% of their health each second
Tanks must pull the remaining mobs away from the location of the
鲜血脓液
pool, and melee DPS must be cautious. It does take several seconds for the
鲜血脓液
to form, so there is plenty of time to react and avoid damage.
This affix is particularly difficult when fighting large groups of trivial adds, and may require tanks to clear additional space or pull enemies back into previously cleared areas so there is room to kite. This is also a difficult mechanic in any area where the predominant floor color is red - particularly in the Oakheart-to-Dresaron stretch of Darkheart Thicket.
In 7.2, Sanguine pools have been changed to apply their first damage tick immediately. This means that it's more important to place the pools of sanguine in safe locations so that the group may traverse the dungeon without taking a large amount of damage from crossing the sanguine pools after combat has ended.
The
无常
affix causes tank threat to be less potent, meaning that DPS players are likely to pull threat off of the tank if not careful. Tanks should mark a priority target on which they will be focusing the brunt of their attacks, and DPS should try to avoid dealing too much damage to the non-priority targets.
Hunters and Rogues should help the tank by using
误导
and
嫁祸诀窍
respectively.
In a
繁盛
dungeon, the number of trash mobs that players must kill in order to meet the "Enemy Forces" requirement is increased to accommodate the additional trash.
The
繁盛
affix causes extra mobs to spawn in particular trash packs. Not every pack is affected, but many of the most dangerous trash packs are.
The
易爆
affix causes enemies that you are currently in combat with to spawn Fel Explosives within 3 yards of its current location. These Fel Explosives will begin to cast
爆炸
and if successful, will detonate dealing a significant amount of damage. Fel Explosives have a very small amount of HP but are completely immune to AoE spells such as
暴风雪
and
星辰坠落
.
Since every monster has a chance to spawn Fel Explosives, be careful about pulling too many monsters at a time. If you pull too many, you might spend all your time killing Fel Explosives and not actually hitting the monsters themselves!
These orbs are the top priority for all players!
The
重伤
affix is particularly dangerous against monsters that deal consistant AoE damage. When a player falls below 90% health, the
重伤
DoT is applied and begins to stack every couple of seconds until the player reaches full health. These stacks will cap at 5 but it's important for the healer to remove these as soon as possible to avoid falling behind. DPS should avoid taking as much damage as possible this week, since taking damage is extra punishing due to the
重伤
debuff.
崩裂
, is essentially one of the main mechanics from Mythic: Il'gynoth in the Emerald Nightmare. Whenever a monster is killed, all players will get a stack of
爆裂
which will stack. One or two stacks will not be deadly, but killing an entire pack of 8 packs simultaneously will probably end up killing the party.
During
崩裂
, it's important to stagger the deaths of the enemy forces so that the debuff doesn't stack up too high. Be careful not to use too many AoE abilities and kill the monsters too soon.
Immunity abilities such as
暗影斗篷
and
寒冰屏障
will remove all current stacks and prevent future stacks from applying.
A Volcanic Plume
Move before it erupts
Enemies in a
火山
dungeon will cause
岩浆柱
s to spawn beneath the feet of distant players. Two seconds later, the
岩浆柱
will erupt, dealing damage equal to 50% of the player's health to any player standing within 2 yards of the Plume. Both boss and trash mobs will cause Volcanic Plumes to form.
When fighting a single enemy, a
岩浆柱
will form approximately every 10 seconds.
Note that "distant" refers to the distance from the enemy mob. In most cases, melee DPS and tanks do not have to worry about this mechanic, and if ranged DPS and healers stand close to the enemies,
岩浆柱
s may not spawn. However, if there is an enemy that leaps away, or an add that spawns far from its summoner,
岩浆柱
s may begin to appear in melee range. This can occur during the following notable fights:
During the Inquisitor Tormentorum encounter in the Vault of the Wardens, due to the Tormenting Orbs
Fighting Valarjar Marksman in the Halls of Valor
Fighting Rockbound Trappers in Neltharion's Lair, or during the Naraxas encounter
岩浆柱
s can be difficult to see during bright or busy ground effects. Players should move out of the
岩浆柱
immediately upon noticing it, and may wish to preemptively move during mechanics such as Eye of the Storm in the Hyrja encounter, where constant unavoidable damage combined with the
岩浆柱
hit could cause a fatality.
强韧
is multiplicative with the Mythic+damage and health modifiersThis affix will only affect Keystones of level 10 or higher. In a
强韧
dungeon, all of the trash mobs have 20% more health and deal 30% additional damage.
Avoid pulling excessive trash packs
Use AoE CC and stuns liberally to reduce damage
Focus on priority targets
Tanks may need to kite enemies more frequently
Multiple tanks may be preferred for certain dungeons with particularly dangerous trash pulls
强韧
's damage and health bonuses are multiplicative with the Mythic+ damage and health bonuses shown in the table above. This means that on Mythic +10, the trash will all have 140% additional health and deal 180% additional damage. Certain trash packs may be able to one-shot party members with their mechanics under this affix; for example, the
瓦拉加尔刻符者
in
英灵殿
may instantly kill players with
破碎符文
if it is allowed to cast. Interrupts and performing trash mechanics properly are very important!
强韧
is particularly dangerous in combination with
激励
,
暴怒
, or
繁盛
affixes.
残暴
greatly increases thedanger of boss fightsThis affix will only affect Keystones of level 10 or higher. In a
残暴
dungeon, all of the bosses have 40% more health and deal 15% additional damage.
This can cause many extremely dangerous abilities to one-shot the party if health levels are not high enough
Serves as an additional gear check to these dungeons
Tanks may need to kite bosses more frequently
Multiple tanks may be preferred for certain dungeons with particularly threatening boss mechanics
残暴
's damage and health bonuses are multiplicative with the Mythic+ damage and health bonuses shown in the table above. This means that on Mythic +10, bosses will have 180% additional health and deal 140% additional damage. Certain bosses that gain percent-based damage modifiers during the course of their encounter pose particular problems in
残暴
