Draka was the mother of Thrall. She and Thrall's father, Durotan, were murdered by spies sent by Gul'dan.

Early Life
Draka was born on Draenor, into the Frostwolf clan of Orcs. She was a sickly child, and in many other clans would have been put to death as a child, but that was not the Frostwolf way. However, her weakness was a shame on her clan's honor.
During a visit from the chieftain of the Blackrock clan, Blackhand, a fire broke out. Draka tried to help put out the fire, but she only got in the way. When Blackhand noticed this, he told Garad, the chieftain of the Frostwolf clan, that Draka would never have been allowed to live past infancy in his own clan. While Garad explained that it was not Frostwolf tradition to kill weak children, he also decided to exile Draka and her family to the outskirts of the Frostwolf village - a great shame on Draka's family.
Knowing she was the cause of her family's dishonor weighed heavily on Draka. Knowing her family wouldn't even be allowed to attend the Kosh'harg festival because of her weakness, she sought out Mother Kashur, the Frostwolf clan's Shaman, for help. Kashur told the young Orc that there was a way to heal her body and make her strong, but it was very dangerous and could result in death. When Draka insisted that she was ready to take on the risk, Kashur told her that she would have to find and bring the Shaman three ingredients.
The first of these ingredients was a Windroc feather, as a warrior needed speed and grace. The second was a horn of a Talbuk, as a warrior needed the support of their clan in the same way that a Talbuk has the support of its herd. The final ingredient was fur of a Clefthoof, as a warrior needed strength and determination. With these three ingredients, Kashur promised she would be able to make a special potion that would heal Draka and turn her into a warrior.
Obtaining these ingredients would not be easy for an Orc as weak and sickly as Draka, but she was determined, and also very intelligent. To prepare for her task, she taught herself how to catch her own food, make her own shelter, and build a fire - all skills that would help keep her alive in the wild. Finally, she set out on her quest.
She tackled the Windroc feather first. Draka observed the birds and realized she could predict when they would return to their nests. After that, getting a feather was simply a case of combining timing with the element of surprise. Draka next turned her attention to the Talbuk horn. While the herd itself was strong, individual Talbuk were weak, and Draka realized her best chance was to separate one from the herd. She did this by running at the herd, shouting and flapping her arms and cloak to make herself seem big. The herd was frightened and fled, and Draka was able to pick one-off.
Finally, Draka took on the Clefthoof, the largest of the animals. This creature was strong and powerful and had a thick hide, but once again, Draka's wits came to her aid. She taunted one of the mighty beasts until it chased her right off a cliff - but she had secured herself with a rope, and so was safe. With all three ingredients, she returned to Kashur to demand the Shaman make her the warrior potion.
Kashur refused, saying Draka didn't need a potion. Then she showed Draka her reflection. The tasks Draka had performed had strengthened her, and now the young, sickly orc was gone, replaced by a strong and proud warrior.
Players could actually experience similar quests to Draka's own in-game. In Legion, while
recruiting Rexxar
as part of the Hunter Class Order Hall campaign, Hunters would have to
prove
the same
survival skills
Draka taught herself. And in Outland, all players could prove their skills in a series of quests for
赫米特·奈辛瓦里
, who would send them to hunt
Windrocs
,
Talbuks
, and
Clefthoofs
.
Mate of Durotan
Draka and her family were able to attend the Kosh'harg festival, where Ogrim Doomhammer of the Blackrock clan noticed her and pointed her out to his friend and future chieftain of the Frostwolf clan, Durotan. If Draka was from the Blackrock clan, Ogrim would have wanted her for his own mate, but she was Frostwolf. Durotan was surprised to realize Draka was the same weak, sickly Orc his father had once banished for bringing shame to their clan. He agreed with Ogrim however, Draka would make a fine mate, and he intended to claim her.
Durotan approached Draka the next day and invited her out to a hunt - a traditional Orcish mating ritual. Draka turned Durotan down bluntly, telling him that she was not yet of age. Durotan, slightly taken aback as he had been confident any Orc woman would be honored to have the attention of a future chieftain, asked if she would join him just for the hunt itself - as friends rather than potential mates. She agreed to join him the next day.
The two Orcs found that their skills complemented each other nicely, and their hunt went well. Durotan was thoroughly impressed by Draka, and found himself desperate for her approval. When they were attacked by a large wolf, they were able to bring it down together, though Durotan was injured in the process. While tending to his wounds, Draka told Durotan the truth - that while she wasn't technically of age yet yesterday when Durotan asked her to come hunting with him, she had come of age today. The two Orcs kissed, and from that moment on they were inseparable.
Draka was by Durotan's side when he became chief of the Frostwolf clan, and together they faced the difficulties destined for their people. Blackhand, under the influence and manipulation of the Shaman turned Warlock Gul'dan - who in turn was under the influence of Kil'jaeden - formed all the Orcish tribes into the first Horde and began to wage a war on the peaceful Draenei. Like all the clans, the Frostwolves joined the Horde and took part in the attacks on the Draenei, though Durotan and Draka were never entirely happy or comfortable with some of the things they saw - especially Fel magic. When most of the Orcs drank demon blood, Durotan refused, and Draka agreed with his decision.
When the Dark Portal was opened, both of the Orcs were horrified by the methods used, but Draenor was dying due to the effects of Fel magic by this point, and the leaders had to prioritize their clan - therefore they, along with many of the Frostwolves, went through the Dark Portal into Azeroth.
Before Durotan and Draka left Draenor, they visited Draka's mother, Greatmother Geyah, to tell her Draka was pregnant. During the Burning Crusade, after a
now-deleted quest
, players used to be able to hear dialogue between Geyah and Thrall, in which she would tell him the name his parents had intended for him: Go'el.
Thrall says: Greatmother...
Greatmother Geyah says: I have been expecting you, young one. Come closer - my eyes are not as sharp as they once were.
Greatmother Geyah says: Yes, you move like my son. You have his broad shoulders - ahh, and your mother's fierce eyes.
Thrall says: Greatmother... Am I...
Greatmother Geyah says: There is no doubt - you are the heir of Durotan... my grandson. Draka told me she was with child before she and your father left our world, but I never dared dream that they would survive...
Thrall says: They... did not, Greatmother. They were killed shortly after I was born. I never knew them. I was raised as a slave. To this day, I carry the name of Thrall.
Greatmother Geyah says: Thrall? You've been a slave only to the past, grandson! But no more! When last I saw him, Durotan told me the name he would give his unborn son... He was... so proud...
Greatmother Geyah wipes a tear away.
Greatmother Geyah says: Go'el. You are Go'el, son of Durotan - rightful chieftain of the Frostwolves. This day, grandson - you are the great joy of my heart.
Thrall says: I have dreamed of this moment all my life, Greatmother. 'Till now, all I've had were Orgrim's stories about my parents and their adventures on Draenor. He was my greatest teacher and dearest friend. He died a hero... They all died as heroes - and for all of them, a song of honor remains.
Greatmother Geyah says: I see that you hold the Doomhammer. Have all of our greatest heroes fallen, grandson?
Thrall says: They died honorably, Greatmother.
Through the Dark Portal
While the Frostwolves traveled through the Dark Portal, they remained suspicious of Gul'dan and his Fel magic. The Warlock, seeing them as a threat and wanting Durotan out of the way, exiled them from the Horde. Durotan might have fought for his clan to remain, but Draka's pregnancy made him extra cautious. He, Draka, and the other Frostwolves traveled north, finally making their home in Alterac Valley.
Draka gave birth to Go'el, later known as Thrall, but she and Durotan were horrified when their child was born green skin. While any Orc who had drunk demon blood had been turned green, the Frostwolves had abstained and stayed brown. Yet here their son was. It meant the curse brought on by the demon blood was even worse than they thought, and they realized something had to be done. They decided to contact Durotan's old friend, Ogrim Doomhammer, and warn him about Gul'dan and his demonic influences.
At first, Durotan wanted to make the journey alone, expecting Draka to stay home with their son, but Draka was furious at the suggestion and even slashed him across the face. She was Draka, wife of Durotan, warrior made rather than warrior born, and she was not going to be left behind. Durotan reflected once more how lucky he was to have such a fierce warrior as his mate, and did not ask her to stay behind again.
Ogrim Doomhammer was worried by the news, but not entirely surprised. He had his own suspicions about Gul'dan. He agreed to do something about the demonic influence infecting the Horde, and sent a personal guard to accompany his friends home.
Unfortunately, the guards were Gul'dan's spies. They decided Gul'dan would want the Frostwolves dead, and they attacked. Durotan and Draka fought the assassins fiercely, spurred on by their desire to protect their child, but they were outnumbered. Draka died first, and Durotan shortly after her. Their son was left to die in the cold, but he would be found by a human, who named the Orc child Thrall.
Warlords of Draenor
A version of Draka can be met in Warlords of Draenor, but it is an alternative timeline's Draka, one who never traveled to Azeroth, and who had a daughter rather than a son, though she did still marry Durotan. However, she's just as fierce as the main timeline's Draka, and also seems to have shared her past.
