This guide provides tips and strategies for defeating the
艾萨拉女王
encounter in Normal Difficulty in Azshara's Eternal Palace. Changes to the fight for the other difficulties are listed below in their respective sections, including tips and strategies for dealing with the new mechanics introduced in these difficulties.
艾萨拉女王
is a four phase encounter with 2 intermissions. The fight largely revolves around the idea of keeping the Ancient Wards energised, as otherwise the raid will start taking damage and eventually a
灾难衰竭
will occur, instantly killing the entire raid.
艾萨拉女王
is the final boss of Azshara's Eternal Palace.

All Phases:
Stand within Ancient Wards to give them energy. You must prevent them from reaching 0%.

Tanks need to taunt off of each other when their

stacks drop.
Remove energy charges from the Titan Console in a staggered way to prevent a raid wipe when

it triggered.
Encounter Mechanic - Ancient Wards
There are three Ancient Wards in the encounter area. These wards have their own individual energy which will be depleted via Azsharas various abilities.
If an Ancient Ward reaches 0 energy, it will trigger a
压力激涌
which deals high ticking damage to the entire raid.
If all three Ancient Wards reach 0 energy, a
灾难衰竭
will occur which instantly kills the entire raid.
Players are able to read how much energy each Ancient Ward has by looking at the unique interface element which appears once Azshara has been engaged.
This UI element shows the position and energy of the Ancient Wards.
Players are able to add energy to the Ancient Ward by standing on it.
Each time they give energy to the ward, the player will gain a stack of the
干涸灵魂
debuff, reducing their maximum health by 10% for 1:48 minutes. This can stack.
Players need to limit the amount of times they grant energy to the ward, as having high stacks of
干涸灵魂
can easily lead to a one shot.
Players should look to grant energy to wards in large chunks. They should gain up to 5 stacks and then not grant any more energy until their
干涸灵魂
has expired, otherwise they'll simply refresh the duration of the debuff.
The amount of energy granted to the Ancient Ward seems to be based on the size of the raid, with smaller raid sizes leading to individual players granting the wards more energy per stack.
Stand in the Ancient Wards to energize them!
Phase One
At the beginning of the encounter, players will need to fight against two mini-bosses,
艾瑟内尔
and
赛兰努斯
.
These enemies do not share a health pool and should be killed at roughly the same time, as one will gain
渴望
when the other dies, granting a 65% haste and 150% damage dealt increase.
Once these two enemies have been defeated, the first intermission will begin.
艾萨拉女王
will not actively engage the raid during phase one, instead only occasionally casting a spell that the raid needs to deal with.

Throughout the phase, the two mini-bosses will either cast
痛苦的回忆
or
渴望
at set points.
These abilities will cause the two bosses to gain the

debuff if they are or are not within line of sight of each other.

requires that both bosses are out of line of sight of each other to prevent the
饱受煎熬
debuff from being applied.
渴望
requires that both bosses are within line of sight of each other to prevent the
饱受煎熬
debuff from being applied.
Whilst either
痛苦的回忆
or
渴望
are active, the bosses will dynamically gain or lose the
饱受煎熬
debuff depending on the line of sight status.
The tanks need to utilise one of the three parts of the environment that can create line of sight to counter these abilities. These are the two pillars or the titan console.
Once
痛苦的回忆
has ended, the bosses should be positioned on top of each other as to allow DPS to cleave between them.
诅咒之心
Whilst
渴望
or
痛苦的回忆
are active, both bosses will frequently create pools of
诅咒之心
underneath themselves over 10 seconds.
These pools deal ticking damage to players within, whilst also reducing player attack speed, casting speed and movement speed by 30%.
Ideally these pools should be placed towards the edges of the encounter space, as to allow players to more easily move around the encounter area.
The
诅咒之心
pools will remain for the rest of the encounter, so placing them correctly from the beginning will ensure that players will not have to worry about them later on in the fight.
Tanks should avoid placing
诅咒之心
pools directly on top of any Ancient Wards, as this will lead to difficulties in topping up the energy of the ward.
Instead tanks should keep both bosses at the edges of the encounter space whenever they are due to spawn the
诅咒之心
pools.
A good position for this is to tank Aethanel around the location Cyranus spawns. When Painful Memories is cast, drag Cyranus to the opposite side of the nearby pillar and continue to move until he is up against the wall.
Don't stand within the
诅咒之心
pools!
艾瑟内尔
艾瑟内尔
has three abilities the raid needs to counter.
闪电链
: An interruptible cast which will deal damage to a random player and spread to nearby players. Interrupt this at all times.
闪电宝珠
: Several orbs appear in the room and bounce 3 times before despawning, dealing damage to players they land on. Simply move from their landing locations, indicated by a blue swirly.
冰爆
: A hit on the tank which applies a debuff. When this is cast on a target with 3 stacks of the debuff, it will stun them before hitting them for a large amount of frost damage via
寒冰碎片
. Taunt on 3 stacks or simply take the hit if the bosses are too far apart!
Move away from the Lightning Orb landing locations!

has two abilities the raid needs to counter.
锯齿之锋
: Each melee hit applies a hard hitting 6 second dot which can stack. This is not applied if the player dodges or parries the melee attack. Largely ignored, as tank switching is dictated by the
冰爆
spell.
充能长矛
: Marks a random nearby player before throwing a spear at them moments later, dealing a minor amount of damage to anyone along the path.
This
充能长矛
will pierce through the player and continue to travel in a straight line until it leaves the encounter space.
If the spear hits any terrain, such as the pillars or titan console, it will explode, dealing extremely high raid damage. Players should position themselves so that this does not occur.
汲取上古结界
Azshara will randomly choose one of the three Ancient Wards and begin to drain energy from it over 5 seconds.
All wards begin the encounter at full energy, and this removes 30% of one of the wards energy.
Players need to make sure that they recharge the ward as it is being drained, or make sure that the ward is already fully charged before she begins draining it.
Once an Ancient Ward has been drained, players should look to recharge it back to full energy whenever they can safely do so whilst not refreshing their
干涸灵魂
stacks.

Shortly after each

cast, Azshara will cast
召唤
on several ranged players.
After being notified via broadcast text, these players will automatically run to the middle of the encounter space towards a rune over 6 seconds.
Upon reaching the rune, the player will be encased in a bubble which deals damage equal to 8% of the players maximum health every second until the bubble is destroyed.
All ranged players should stand towards the edges of the encounter space when this ability is due to be cast, as this will generate enough distance that the
召唤
effect will end before they reach their rune.
Any player who fails to do this should have their bubble destroyed as soon as possible whilst being publicly shamed.
奥术宝珠
Azshara will summon several
奥术宝珠
around the middle of the encounter space.
These orbs will explode after 16 seconds, each dealing a large amount of damage to the entire raid. This will easily one shot the group.
Players can reduce the potency of this explosion by standing within the
奥术宝珠
. This will cause them to deplete over time.
If the
奥术宝珠
are soaked quickly enough, players can remove them without them exploding at all.
All ranged players should actively look for an Arcane Orb and stand within it to ensure the raid doesn't get one shot.
Stand within the
奥术宝珠
to reduce their power!
狂热的巨兽
An
狂热的巨兽
enemy will spawn in the middle of the encounter space occasionally throughout the phase.
This add does not need to be tanked, as it will simply run over to a randomly selected Ancient Ward.
Once it arrives it will channel
震地
, dealing a small amount of raid wide damage and depleting the wards energy over time.
The entire raid should focus down this add as soon as it spawns as to minimize the amount of energy it depletes from a ward.
This add can be crowd controlled in nearly every way, including "hard cc" such as Frost Traps and roots.
However, once the add has been crowd controlled a single time, it will gain the
激怒
debuff which makes it immune to all further CC.
Players looking to kill the hulk should use a long duration stun just before it reaches a ward. This is because an add that is stunned before it reaches its destination may decide to choose another ward instead.
Players may want to hard CC an add that spawns late into the phase and instead kill it during the intermission, as this will allow the raid to focus their damage into the two mini-bosses and potentially skip a set of abilities.
Kill the

as quickly as possible.
Intermission One:

Once the two mini-bosses have been defeated, the first intermission will begin.
Azshara will spawn multiple
奥术宝珠
across the middle of the encounter space, whilst issuing a personal decree to each individual player.
These decrees need to be followed, as disobeying them will give the player the
制裁
debuff every second which deals very high ticking damage.
On normal mode, only one decree is issued per player.
The decrees are as follows:
受苦!
: Soak an Arcane Orb. Do note that the
奥术宝珠
deplete whilst players are stood within them, so you may need to find another if your orb is soaked very quickly.
服从!
: Do not soak an Arcane Orb.
集合!
: Stand near other players. You should look to help soak
奥术宝珠
with this decree, as it will help remove them before they explode at the end of the intermission.
出列!
: Don't be near other players. If you can find an Arcane Orb that is not being soaked by anybody, then you should look to soak it as to help clear the orbs.
The raid should look to clear all of the
奥术宝珠
whilst obeying their decrees as to avoid taking a large amount of raid wide damage when the
奥术宝珠
explode at the end of the intermission.
Follow your decree whilst trying to soak the
奥术宝珠
!
Phase Two
Shortly after the intermission,
艾萨拉女王
will emerge and begin to fight players directly.
She will immediately cause the middle inactive rune to become a
力量结界
. This is shown via a blue rune on the ward interface element.
This
力量结界
will gain energy via various means. As the ward gains more energy, the boss and adds will gain increased damage done.
Players should look to actively prevent this
力量结界
from gaining energy, as to keep incoming damage under control.
Much like the Ancient Wards, the
力量结界
can have its energy sapped by players standing within it. This will also grant stacks of
干涸灵魂
.
Generally speaking, empowering Ancient Wards is more important than draining Wards of Power, although it is preferable that both are done.
You can see the
力量结界
in the UI element.

The Ancient Ward the boss is closest to will have its energy sapped passively over time.
If the boss is closest to a
力量结界
, its energy will be increased over time.
Players need to keep the ward that boss is closest too under control, by having players take turns at standing within it.
Players still need to keep their
干涸灵魂
stacks to a reasonable level (approximately 5-6 stacks), as otherwise they will be one shot by certain abilities.
If the raid runs out of players to soak a nearby ward, Azshara should be moved to a different ward whilst the raid waits for
干涸灵魂
stacks to drop.
The raid should enter this phase with all Ancient Wards at maximum energy, as to reduce the chance of a
压力激涌
or
灾难衰竭
from occurring.
奥术打击
The boss will frequently cast
奥术打击
at the tank. This deals a burst of arcane damage to the tank and applies a stack of
奥术易伤
which increases arcane damage take by 5% for 14 seconds.
Tanks should taunt off of each other whenever this stack becomes to high, usually around the 7-9 stack mark.
奥术掌握
The boss will passively deal damage to the raid over the course of the fight. Players out of line of sight are not hit by this damage.
This isn't something that players should look to actively counter. Instead the ability is present mainly to give healers something to do throughout the phase.
召唤
召唤
has had parts of it changed when used in phase two.
The boss will still target ranged players, but instead of forcing them to walk to the middle of the room, they instead run directly under the boss.
Upon reaching the boss, the player will become mind controlled and gain a large shield. This mind control will persist until the shield has been removed.
Ranged players are able to counter this ability by standing 35-40 yards away from the boss. This will cause the
召唤
debuff to time out before they reach her and become mind controlled.
Any player who fails this and becomes mind controlled should be crowd controlled via stuns and silences and quickly focused by DPS as to remove the shield from them.
召唤
marked players will become mind controlled during phase two!
奥术震爆
Azshara will apply
奥术震爆
debuffs to two random non-tank players.
This 30 second long debuff doesn't do anything until it expires, at which point it deals a large burst of damage to all players within line of sight.
Players marked with this debuff should move behind a pillar or titan console that creates a barrier between the boss and the majority of the raid. They should then have this debuff dispelled by a healer assigned to this job.
Hide behind a pillar when your
奥术震爆
is about to expire.
奥术炸药
Upon reaching 100 energy, Azshara will cast
奥术炸药
.
This deals a massive burst of damage to all players within line of sight of the boss.
All players must hide behind a nearby pillar or titan console before the cast finishes, as otherwise they will likely die.
Azshara should be positioned next to one of these hiding spots, as to allow players within melee to easily access them.
Adds
Throughout the phase, different add types will spawn and move towards the
力量结界
.
Upon reaching the ward, the adds will kill themselves and grant energy to it.
There are two different types of adds that can spawn, a single
Azshara's Indomitable
add or 3 packs of
艾萨拉的虔信者
adds.
The
Azshara's Indomitable
add has a large health pool, move slowly and cannot be crowd controlled. These need to be focused down by all DPS to defeat them before they reach the rune.
艾萨拉的虔信者
adds have a smaller health pool, move more quickly and can be crowd controlled in nearly every single way. These adds should be AoE'd down whilst the raid throws crowd control to keep them off the rune.
Kill Azshara's minions before they reach the
力量结界
!
Upon reaching 70% health, the second intermission will begin.
Intermission Two: Adoration
This intermission acts identically to the first, except this time Azshara is present in the encounter space whilst RP'ing.
She will not attempt to attack the raid in any way, but will still be taking full damage. Players should use this opportunity to get some free boss damage whilst dealing with the decrees and
奥术宝珠
.
The decrees and
奥术宝珠
work, and are countered in, the exact same way as the first intermission.
Phase Three
艾萨拉女王
herself has received very few new abilities during this phase, with only a minor change to her
召唤
and the addition the
命运逆转
ability.
Players marked with
召唤
will now gain
嫉妒
which is a 10% movement speed increase for every other player within 8 yards when the ability begins to force movement.
Players marked with the spell must ensure that they are at least 8 yards away from any other player as to reduce the chance they will reach the boss and become mind controlled.
命运逆转
will occasionally switch the location of her
力量结界
with a randomly selected Ancient Ward.
Tanks need to be quick to move Azshara away from the
力量结界
if it happens to switch with the Ancient Ward she was standing by.
The boss otherwise acts the same, maintaining her
泰坦规划
,
奥术打击
,
奥术掌握
,
奥术炸药
and
奥术震爆
abilities.
Tidemistresses
At the beginning of the phase, two Tidemistresses will spawn, each positioned on a randomly selected Ancient Ward.
Whilst alive, the Tidemistress will remain stationary and do not need to be actively tanked.
These Tidemistresses must be killed as soon as possible as to keep the wards from completely losing energy.
Players should focus on killing the Tidemistressesas soon as possible!
Although the Tidemistresses have unique names, they all have the exact same four abilities.
汲取上古结界
: An interruptible cast which drains the Ancient Ward the Tidemistress is standing for a small amount of energy.
If the boss casts
命运逆转
and the
力量结界
is placed underneath a Tidemistress, they will cast
为力量结界充能
instead.

: A debuff applied to random players which makes them pulse damage to anyone within 8 yards of them over 6 seconds. Make sure to move away from others if you get this debuff.

: A simple
闪电链
spell which can be interrupted. The raid should look to interrupt each of these to keep raid damage to a minimum.
晶化护盾
: An add will gain a shield which makes them immune to damage and interrupts. The timing in which the add gains the shield, as well as which add gains the shield seems to be random.
This shield is only removed via the
充能长矛
attack from the
忠实的仆从
.
A
忠实的仆从
spawns at the beginning of the phase and every 1:30 minutes after that point. It needs to be tanked and its only ability is
充能长矛
.
This targets a random non-tank player. Moments later it will throw a spear at that player, dealing damage to all players in its path.
If the spear hits any terrain, such as the pillars or titan console, it will explode, dealing extremely high raid damage. Players should position themselves so that this does not occur.
If this
充能长矛
hits the
晶化护盾
, it will remove it and deal a small burst of damage to anyone within line of sight via
碎盾
.
Players should not actively kill this add unless another one spawns, as they need to utilize its
充能长矛
ability to get through the phase.
The add should be positioned on one side of the Tidemistress, whilst the raid is on the other. This will automatically cause the add to get hit by the
充能长矛
whenever it is cast without having players move around.
Hit the
晶化护盾
with the
充能长矛
!
Once both Tidemistresses have been defeated, or if the boss is brought to 45% health, phase four begins.
The raid should aim to defeat both Tidemistresses before triggering phase four, as otherwise they will need to damage them to finish them off which is damage you'd rather have on the boss.
Phase Four
Azshara will not summon adds during this phase and will instead focus all of her efforts on destroying the raid directly.
She maintains access to three abilities:

will still apply the

speed increase to players, but if any player reaches the boss and becomes mind controlled, they will remain that way until the end of the encounter.
Any player that does become mind controlled should be killed as soon as possible before they become too much of a nuisance.
All other abilities have been removed and replaced with new things the raid needs to deal with.
虚空之触
Azshara will frequently cast
虚空之触
at the tank, dealing a burst of shadow damage and leaving a debuff which reduces healing received by 10% for 30 seconds. This can stack.
Tanks will want to taunt off of one another each time their debuff drops, as ensure they can actually receive meaningful healing from their healers. This is usually around the 3-4 stack mark.
虚空传送门
Azshara opens a rift on the ground that lasts for 2 minutes. Any player who stands within the rift takes a moderate amount of shadow damage every second.
This portal will always spawn near ranged players. These players should stack up and bait the Nether Portal spawn locations away from the Titan Console and any Ancient Wards so that these areas can still be accessed safely.
Regardless of where the
虚空传送门
spawns, players should avoid standing in it as often as possible, only ever entering it if they need to deal with other mechanics such as re-energising Ancient Wards.
Avoid standing near key locations when Nether Portal is cast...
穿刺凝视
An orange eye will appear at the side of the encounter space and project an orange beam across the room.
Moments later this beam will shoot out energy, dealing large damage to anyone in its path.
After the beam has despawned, a new eye will appear close to the original eye's location and do the same thing. The spell will then end.
Players will need to quickly identify the path of the beam and move from it so that they can avoid this damage.
Move out of the orange laser beam!
过载
The main mechanic players need to manage throughout the phase is the titan console, as Azshara will cast
过载
on it every 55 seconds.
This grants the Titan Console 4 energy charges. All of these charges will be released in a single load after ~42 seconds, resulting in a
巨型能量电压
.
Players can interact with the titan console to trigger a
控制爆炸
via the use of an extra action button that they gain by standing near it, dealing a moderate burst of damage to the raid whilst releasing a single energy charge.
Players need to do this in a staggered way, as to drain all of the energy before the
巨型能量电压
triggers.
Alternatively, the raid can stack up and use healing cooldowns, whilst a single player with an immunity can use all four charges in a single go.
You can see the remainingOverload charges as orbs!
Each time an energy charge is released from the titan console, one additional randomly selected effect will trigger.

: The player who released the energy charge will receive a hard hitting 30 second dot. This simply must be outhealed.

: The console will drain a nearby Ancient Ward of 30% of its power. This must quickly be topped up by all players with low or no stacks of

: A random DPS will gain a 40 second buff which makes spell casts instant, increases ranged and melee haste by 50% and increases resource regeneration significantly. The target dies at the end of the debuff.
Players who are fortunate enough to gain this buff need to deal as much damage as possible during the 40 second effect.
The raid should Bloodlust and use second potions upon reaching this phase, as to kill the boss as soon as possible.
If the phase lasts for too long, the raid will eventually wipe due to players being killed via the
艾泽拉斯的精华
buff.
Heroic Difficulty
女王法令
Players are given up to two decrees at the beginning of each intermission, up from one.
Players need to quickly identify which combination of decrees they have been given as to minimize the amount of
制裁
stacks they will receive.
The most potent two combinations that players will have to deal with is the

and
受苦!
or the
集合!
and
受苦!

Players with the
集合!
and
受苦!
combination should aim to all stack within a single Arcane Orb. Once this is soaked they can then move together to the next.
Players with the
出列!
and
受苦!
should find an unoccupied Arcane Orb and soak it by themselves.
Two additional decrees has been added to both Intermissions:

Players with

will have a purple zone placed around them. If they leave the zone they will gain stacks of

If a player has

they should find an Arcane Orb within their purple zone and soak it whilst minimizing movement as much as possible.
Players with

need to keep moving, as patches will spawn underneath their feet and detonate shortly afterwards, applying a stack of

Some players may have

. These players should find each other and move around as a group to counter both decrees.
Stay within your purple zoneif you get the Stay! decree.

Azshara gains access to the
命运逆转
ability in phase two, and it is empowered to the
强力命运逆转
during phases three and four.
强力命运逆转
will turn all Ancient Wards into Wards of Power and vice versa.
Tanks should quickly move Azshara to the one remaining Ancient Ward when this is cast, as to reduce the chances of the boss gaining a damage dealt increase.
奥术震爆
If players afflicted with
奥术震爆
are within line of sight of Azshara when the debuff expires will apply
反噬
to Azshara.
This will cause her to apply
奥术震爆
to additional targets when the ability is cast again.
This forces players to make sure they are hidden from their allies and the boss, as to reduce the overall amount of
奥术震爆
debuffs the raid needs to deal with.
嫉妒
The movement speed increase granted by
嫉妒
is now 20%, up from 10%.
Players marked with
召唤
in phase three or four will likely reach the boss if they are given even one stack of
嫉妒
, forcing them to move away from their allies before they are forcefully moved towards the boss.
Mythic Difficulty
Aside from numerical changes, in which enemies deal more damage and have more health, the boss has several mechanical changes on mythic difficulty.

Throughout all four phases, Azshara will cast
各个击破
which summons a beam of arcane energy that splits the room in two.
Any player who passes through the beam "instantly perishes".
Players with immunities are be able to pass through the beam without dying.
Players will need to carefully position themselves within the room as to ensure that everybody can continue to counter the bosses abilities without getting one shot by this beam.
The beams always appear at set times, although their angles can be different.
The beams are stationary in phases one, two and three. The beam will rotate around the room "Halion style" during phase four.

Instead of players dealing with up to two decrees simultaneously, they will have to deal with up to three of them.
The same configuration of decrees are applied to the raid each intermission, with only the targets being randomly chosen.
As an example: Two players will always gain "Soak, Stand Still and Stand Alone" - but the players with this can be different every time.
Currently this ability is mainly countered by a fancy weakaura, which unfortunately isn't public yet.
Tidemistresses
The raid needs to defeat three Tidemistress adds in phase three, up from two.
The raid also only has three minutes to do this, as all adds will enrage three minutes after the phase has begun.

One thing which is not clear from the dungeon journal in-game nor from this guide is that charged spears do NOT do the 100k+ raidwide explode damage if they fly off into the water. The journal description makes it sound like they explode when they reach the target player, but this is incorrect. They only do the raidwide explosive damage if they hit a line-of-sight blocker like the panel or a pillar. Lining up properly in phase 3 so spears break the shield but don't then hit something else got my guild over a significant hurdle at that point, where the AoE bursts were just ridiculous and unhealable otherwise.

One of my favorite things about this fight, is that as a Resto Shaman, if you have Sharas'dal, Scepter of Tides as a transmog, she whispers to you about your insolence in taking her scepter.
