, and here is my quick guide on Elemental PvP for patch 5.4(will update for any major changes in 5.4)!
What is an Elemental Shaman?
In my experience, it is split down the middle between: A destroyer dps class or numerous Tichondrius opinions that are summed up to "An idiot who can't melee with a broke spec." In reality, Yes Elemental Shamans are a make it or break it ranged in a Rated Battleground, Arena, or in some cases World PvP. Why? It is not only because they can off heal in RBGs and Arenas, they also have the burst to shatter any offensive if played right. Now onto the guide:

Stats
1. Intellect/PvP Power
2. Spirit/Hit to 6% spell hit chance(Cant be missing them lava bursts)
3. Haste!!!!!!!!!!!(As an ele shaman, the more instants the better)

*Note: If you have additional slot from Belt Buckle or Blacksmithing, i highly advise adding

to increase the raw damage of your attacks. It is also ok to add haste but the loss of potential in increase of damage is a loss than increasing haste.*

(Must have a Tailor make this for you or find it on the auction house if it is at the time a reasonable cost) and

- The reason why i leave it up to choice is because frankly i like the additional haste but at the same time it is much needed to add speed to have some run chance, but where the threat is melee that have more slows than needed, it makes the enchant really useless when they have you permenantly slowed (also note practice doing safety dances, you'll need it for arenas).
Rings (ONLY IF YOU DO ENCHANTING):

IV.
Reforging
Here's my principle to reforging as an elemental shaman:
HASTE: if it doesn't have haste reforge it so!
Mastery: If you have haste and crit on gear, reforge that crit to mastery!
So reminder: if it only has crit on it, reforge to haste!
if it has crit and haste on an item, reforge the crit to mastery!
(If fully grievious geared, you should have 25% haste with Echo, and 50.24% mastery as a troll shaman)

Talents / Glyphs

Tier 1: This is considerably a personal preference because each are about the same in survival. But i choose

because it suits my play style and can keep me alive just fine. But in the case of the other two,

, i personally choose during dot battles because of the additional health that you can get from it saves matches that are heavy dot battles. And in the case of heavy burst, i choose to run

gives you a huge damage reduction and prevents a loss if blown right.
Tier 2: In this tier, i have discovered that the Crowd Control is heavily situational based on the opposing team. if it isn't heavy slow or root, then i would suggest either

. Then in that case you have to decide early on will you have ranged who can run (Frozen Power) or will you have multiple Melee attacking (Earthgrab Totem.) Now in the case of heavy slows and no movement impairing removers, you have to run

because even with ghost wolf glyphed the very slowing effect will easily get you stomped on.
Tier 3: This tier is based on how you work your totems or what talents you have prior to this. In the case of having both totem talents, i prefer using

because i like the ability of having a reset for "the whoops something bad is about to happen". In the case of the other two talents,

this ability is nasty as a resto shaman but as an elemental, i have found it both good and bad. the usual case is it provides additional healing, yes it does but not like a druid with heart of the wild. it does not give any form of damage increase or survival. Lastly,

is what i call the troll talent it is fun if you can stay still but is also great for moving roots, or just being a troll and dropping sudden capacitors.
Tier 4: This is the odd one, because i love all these talents in this one but it's based off of racial to which gives you the most damage or overall usuability. In this case depending on the composition i run, i usually run

because of the troll passive

because it gives me the haste i need for burst and opens up the additional damage from mastery and echo of elements. In another case when i just need more haste, i usually will run

because of the fear of 50% haste, but i stopped recently because of many teams running purgers, which immediately cuts the use of the talent. Lastly, like i said i run
only for instant hexing, and even now its really useless because it just gets trinketed or gets dispelled, BUT it is still good to have for burst situations if you don't have a mage, druid, or warlock(99.9% of the time you do or you should).
Tier 5: This tier -.-..... it is our "saving grace" but at the same time our downfall, because all of these abilities can be shutdown. I will warn in advance, that if you run either

make sure you are doing it prior to burst(like two to three seconds) to prevent them from destroying them in the middle of burst(thus getting you killed). But my preference is

because it gives you a passive heal and doesn't require you to stress totem management to heal or have to sit through a burst in healing rain.
Tier 6: This tier brings the burst needed for at the moment for shamans,
brings forth temporary boosts to damage for more burst time for less damage than the other two, it is a good talent though for dot cleave because it makes sure the healer is constantly taxed even if you are the enemies target because of lightning bolt damage or lava burst procs for more damage.

is a huge but dangerous talent to use because it is based around the elementals which is amazing because their damage is increased and the casting ability on the shaman gives moderate damage increase and with the earth elemental gives you a 20% damage reduction with a 10% damage and healing increase. The bad is any good team will ALWAYS destroy that totem so unless you can cc them for 2 minutes straight then the elementals really dampen your damage. Finally,

(or Haudoken) is the current favorite between Elemental and Enhancement Shamans because of the direct damage it does when you can hit someone with it. It is terrify to follow it with an Ascendance because of the stat increase and just the damage it does. So in my preference i usually take

because of raw output and just the stat increase let's me focus on using echo to ensure additional damage increase.
Author's Note: Talents are always changing with situation, remember you must always play how you play how you like or you won't succeed at all. Then you must always then focus on situation. But you can adapt to the talents you like and situation. SO PRACTICE makes perfect. :)
Glyphs:
Major:
(much needed, WOW, such survival)
(usually need it for either fast projections or if against heavy melee teams)
(for them moments when you reflect a one shot "XD HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!", so heavy spell caster teams usually)
(preferably use this when you absolutely have to crowd control!)
(when you have to run away like a coward quite a lot)
(NEVER EVER EVER USE THIS AGAINST A DOT CLEAVE TEAM!!! other than that its pretty good to have as a primary)

VI.
How to Ele shaman
Basically this is to show you how to effectively run ele shaman
Your Priorities are the following:
1. Have Flame Shock on 3 targets(constantly refresh after they go away)
2. Focus on flame shock targets
1.Use Elemental Blast on Cooldown
2.Lava Burst on Cooldown
3. Lightning bolt if 1 and 2 are on cooldown
4. ONLY BLOW COOLDOWNS WHEN YOU HAVE THE LEAST AMOUNT OF CHANCES OF GETTING CC'D, so mostly if target caller calls for cooldowns blow them 3 seconds after to
prevent being crowd controlled through ascendance or cooldowns.
1-5 situational: Hex, Earthgrab a target if it is called or you know their cooldowns are about to be blown!!!!
3.Heal Teammates if clear casting is up or healer is cc'd (preferably make sure clearcasting is up!)

Warlords of Draenor Update
Hello all this is a tiny update concerning Warlords of Draenor, I am currently on break from WoW(Boooo! i know) BUT fear not for Mojo has been working on his guide for PVP in the Draenor of Warlords(LOL). As of 9/12/14, I have access and currently testing different builds for shamans(DEM Secondary stats....YUMMY). Which means this guide will be updated from 5.4.8 to 6.0 before the new season in WoD. Anywho :P have fun and see you guys on release day!

Good guide, here are some suggestions though:
You have two weird errors in the guide:
Pants: Yak Helm (Must have a Leatherworker make this for you or find it on the auction house if it is at the time a reasonable cost) You have the wrong link.
Glyph of Grace (when you have to run away like a coward quite a lot) You have the Druid glyph linked.
Clean it up a bit, it has wall of text syndrome. Add some breaks in your paragraphs, give each talent their own paragraph for a breakdown.
Give some suggestions on professions, add what professions you run. I personally like Enchant/JC, Enchant/LW or Enchant/Inscript.
Keep up the good work, hope we will see more from you soon! :)

Unless I'm reading it wrong, the "An idiot who can't melee with a broke spec(Play an Enhancement Shaman)." part would imply that Elemental is a melee class... Derp?
