Greetings, Fladorphan here writing a guide towards soloing Icecrown Citadel 10 man, this can apply to 10 heroic but with a more deeper thought. The 10 man heroic guide will be added later on but not now, let's get started shall we?
Due to comments (that improve the guide as a whole) I have implemented the description right here:
Icecrown Citadel 10 man solo guide, primarily aimed towards Blood Death Knights, can be attempted to re-make for paladins, monks, etc.
THIS GUIDE WILL NO LONGER BE EDITED AS EVERYTHING HERE IS PRETTY OBSOLETE.
Also, take a gander at the edit post in the comments below. Cheers!

ENHANCEMENT: Ascendance is your friend.
ELEMENTAL: Coming Soon - will write soon!
RESTORATION: Coming Soon - will write soon!
FIRE: Mash, mash, mash! You'll not have trouble with Bone Spike Graveyard.
ARCANE: Gotta get those Arcane powers released on someone, that unfortunate fellow is Marrowgar - and he won't be able to spike you either! Woohoo!
FROST: First you're questioning - why is this in the "medium" section of things? Because people will complain if I don't put this as a small disclaimer; dismiss your elemental or else it will be counted as a second player and you will be caught up in Bone Spike Graveyard. Apart from that, you should be fine as Frost Magi seem to have a lot of power behind them.
WARLOCK NOTE: You're a warlock, that means you have a minion unless you picked the talent
Grimoire of Sacrifice
. I heavily advise dismissing your minion or else you will be hit by the mighty Bone Spike Graveyard, and then you will tell me I am completely wrong, when there is this warning here : )
DESTRUCTION: Did someone say...
CHAOS BOLT?!
In other words and a popular term to me - faceroll.
AFFLICTION: I can only see DoTs filling the screen, and I don't know Affliction fluently.
DEMONOLOGY: Fun fact; I don't know how to play Demonology, yet I think this would be quite simple as long as you follow the warning as seen above in red, shiny text.
WINDWALKER: By far the easiest encounter you will face in your ICC 10 soloing adventure. You can't have a pet so
Bone Spike Graveyard
will not occur.
BREWMASTER: Well, there's no way you're going to die, and you can do some heavy duty damage to Marrowgar whilst being in tank spec, so y'know. That's cool.
MISTWEAVER: My only comment is that why you would want to solo ICC as Mistweaver, but it would be very useful to have your Mistweaver spec for Valithria, in the mean time you are very much welcome to just go Windwalker/Brewmaster for the damage.
FERAL: As a Feral druid, you should find it as easy as pie to go and kill Lord Marrowgar, as you will be alone
Bone Spike Graveyard
will not occur. Pretty nifty!
BALANCE: As a Balance druid, you should also find it extremely easy to kill Lord Marrowgar, there is no real tactic to it apart from your rotation.
GUARDIAN: Guess what is about to be read by you - it's easy. You 'zerg' him down to 0% as you'll be alone and
Bone Spike Graveyard
does not occur.
RESTORATION: My only comment is that why you would want to solo ICC as restoration, but it would be very useful to have your Restoration spec for Valithria, in the mean time you are very much welcome to just go Feral/Balance/Guardian for the damage.
BLOOD: The amount of faceroll required for this face is absolutely off the charts, and like any other class - you'll be alone and
B.S.G
will not activate.
FROST: ...and if you thought Blood was easy, try our all new Frost specialization! Now with Pillar of Frost action, you too can kill Marrowgar in a matter of seconds!
UNHOLY: So you're Unholy? You have a pet, that's the problem, 'bud. Dismiss it now or that damned B.S.G is going to kill you before I facepalm.

Lady Deathwhisper
Lady Deathwhisper has the tendency to be very loud and annoying, you want to end that because well, you hate annoying things most likely? Yes? Follow the steps below and you'll have the nuisance dead within a few minutes. First up is her
Mana Barrier
, or more primarily known as Phase 1, you can just nuke through this but unfortunately its not as simply as it seems, throughout this phase she will periodically spawn adds from the side of the room, these are
Cult Adherent
and
Cult Fanatic
. The only real problem you'll have with these adds are the Adherents, why so?
Torpor... Bloody Torpor...
Basically, to bypass Curse of Torpor, you can
AMS
or otherwise known as Anti-Magic Shell. This however only lasts five seconds so use it in the most dire of situations, so for example when all your abilities are up, they'll be fresh for use and ehm, top tip,
don't ignore them unless you can take it.
As for Phase 2 after you've drained the
Mana Barrier
you can just kill those damn Adherents so you don't get a Curse of Torpor up your behind and nuke Deathwhisper 'till death.
Monk
Monk's have it rather easy-game throughout the course of the raid. The only real problematic thing that you will run into is Torpor, to deal with such things you can just one shot it with a Touch of Death or of course, normally attacking it because they have low health. Woohoo? (Dealing with the Fanatics are no problem, yet if you must due to survival reasons, kill them or keep up
Rushing Jade Wind
(90 Talent) or
Spinning Crane Kick
.)
Gunship
Gunship is actually one of the more difficult bosses to solo in this raid. So be prepared for it, first go talk to
Zafod Boombox
to recieve your
Goblin Rocket Pack
, equip it. Now get on the
Gunship Cannon
and spam the button 1 until you hit 90+ on your Heat bar (where your runic power would be, or mana, whatever class you are.) then hit number 2. That would be
Incinerating Blast
this deals about 67k damage or around that number, depending on the heat level. Every now and then a
Kor'kron Battle-Mage
will spawn and cast
Below Zero
rendering your cannons absolutely useless, kill the adds that have spawned on the portals when Saurfang shouts
"Reavers, Sergeants, attack!"
then of course, rocket over kill the Battle-Mage ASAP and rocket back to your cannon, rinse and repeat until 0%. Don't give up if you fail the first few times, you'll get it eventually.
Monk
Welp, same stuff different class. Get to 90+ Heat and then hit two. As seen in comments before I made this edit, my feedback of killing the four at front was "bad" even though it is actually -better- than killing the two rocketeers. Anyhow, once
Below Zero
occurs, you simply just rocket over and have a fun time Rising Sun Kicking the battle-mage in the face and rocket back to spam some more
Deathbringer Saurfang
After every difficult fight, there has to be a face-roller afterwards, this back as an 80 would be challenging, yet at 90 it isn't that much of a challenge, guessing that the Death Knight has good gear, you should be able to just nuke him down, but if you are not so well geared and cannot crank out a lot of DPS as well as a D.K at lets say... item level 515+? You'll want to be killing the
Blood Beasts
that he summons (he only summons two, and they really don't have a lot of health, they can be killed in one to three shots depending on your gear). Other than that, you should be done by then because the rest isn't really that much of a bother. Moving onto...
Blood Prince Council
The Blood Prince Council may seem difficult due to the fact that there's one with full health and the others are at no health, however this is easily explained with the "Power of the Orb" which shares health between all three bosses. So here is what struggles you may have in this encounter whilst soloing it. During the first prince (you should only really have to fight one due to your blood death knight DPS, keep DoT's up, that's
Frost Fever
and
Blood Plague
) you'll experience the
Empowered Shock Vortex
This intentionally knocks you back, but you can just ignore the damage because your
Death Strike
can heal you right up (Woohoo!) Since you've probably got enough DPS you should only experience one, as implied earlier. If you experience the second, you should really be able to ignore anything they have to throw at you. Once done, move on to another painful fight. I would say this is semi-difficult if you do not follow what I recommend.
Blood-Queen Lana'thel
For Lana'thel I highly recommend you go grab a
Plague Scientist
and snag these three macros and put them somewhere noticeable.
/cast Plague Stream
This macro allows you to cast Plague Stream on yourself with out having to target yourself and then click the
Plague Stream
button. This can be a generic time waster in some situations.
/cast Control Undead
Set focus to your
Plague Scientist
and then use this macro every five minutes, that way you to do not have to target your scientist and find your Control Undead, once again this preserves time that you will definitely need.
/cast Death Coil
Presuming that you now have your scientist on focus, you can heal your scientist with Death Coil, as it is an undead target which is friendly to you.Use this ONLY if your scientist is below 25% health, otherwise do not bother using it.
Now that your semi prepared, if you have a Frost specialization, I would 95% say go into that specialization
unless
your Blood specialization has enough DPS with
Plague Stream
run in with Army of the Dead to help beat the boss down and use the Plague Stream macro that is listed above. This will stack with Lana'thel's ability -
Essence of the Blood Queen
giving you 200% increased damage. After you have these buffs, nuke like there is no tomorrow, if you are well geared, your obliterates will hit for 1,000,000,000 and more.
SIDENOTE: YOU HAVE 75 SECONDS AFTER THE BUFF IS APPLIED TO KILL LANA'THEL, OTHERWISE YOU WILL BE MIND CONTROLLED THEN KILLED.
Festergut
...Still got that scientist? He'll be extremely useful here, just use the Plague Stream macro and nuke Festergut, this also applies for Rotface. You should probably try harder on Festergut as he will cause an
explosion
at ten stacks that will instantly kill you, this is known as
Gastric Bloat
. If you wipe on Festergut, you either weren't using your scientist or decided that you needed a cup of coffee half way through the fight.
Rotface
- Coming soon -
Short note: This fight is
really
easy.
Professor Putricide and his Corridor
Your scientist is prone to death in Putricide's corridor, so if you use that Death Coil macro I have shown above and continuously build up your R.P (Runic Power). Doing so will make your scientist live on! Woohoo!
Putricide is no problemo with your scientist up, you can nuke him down, the phases can be ignored. The stuns are not trinketable so do not waste them. That's about it for the Plagueworks, onto the most difficult boss to solo... Joy...
Valithria Dreamwalker
Scientist
is useful for adds but only the
skeletons
, so you will have to kill him off unfortunately. You would want to equip fast speed weapons so you can get more bloodworms out as soon as possible.
SUGGESTED WEAPONS:
Warglaives of Azzinoth
Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker
(with a warglaive, preferably the faster one...)
Amber Espada of Klaxxi'vess (x2)
Using these, you will be able to spawn many bloodworms that heal Valithria, be advised though that it is also recommended that you stack as much stamina you can, the more stamina, the more health of the bloodworm, the more health of the bloodworm, the more healing done which is also good, if not the most prioritised thing to do with your bloodworms. As for mob prioritisation, you will want to kill the
suppressors
as they cast Suppression, Suppression is an ability that decreases healing done to Valithria by 10% which is very bad considering this fight needs to be over as soon as can be. Kill them then continue healing, oh wait!
Blazing Skeletons
will cast
Lay Waste
and deal damage to your dragon friend, switch to normal weapon and one shot, back to suppressor killing with fast speed weapons and rinse repeat. You will fail a lot of times, patience is an ensured virtue on this boss.
Sindragosa
Sindragosa is a really awesome fight in my opinion, however it is very much tank and spank. Don't get hit by the ice orbs and you can ignore the rest and soak it up for a minimal amount of vengeance. You can still be a sindy-slayer though! Just not as impressive, sadly.
The Lich King
You know him, you love him, The Lich King. Ladies and Gentlemen - this is the last fight you'll be encountering on your solo journey, let's begin. Phase one, Arthas will periodically
summon Shambling Horrors
who cast
Shockwave
, They'll
enrage
rarely but this is very little towards you as you are level ninety and
they
are level eighty three. Along with summoning, he also
summons Drudge Ghouls
, three to be in fact, soak these up for minimal vengeance and kill them in phase transition from one to two.
Infest
is casted but you will most probably be at 100% the majority of the time of the time therefore this will be no problem at all. Necrotic Plague will not even be casted once, so just nuke down to 70% for the phase transition.
In the phase transition, stand at the beginning of the stairs leading to the Lich King's Throne (otherwise known as the Frozen Throne) He will be casting
Remorseless Winter
,
Pain and Suffering
and
summoning ice spheres
... As well as
raging spirits
. Why are you standing at the staircase you ask? This will stop the Ice Spheres
explosions
from knocking you back so you can just soak them, yes! The tactic behind these raging spirits are simple. Keep DoT's on them so you can put 'em back into ol' Lichy!
Phase two is just spanking really, your raging spirits will still be up however Arthas wants to show you his pets unfortunately. This is what people call the
Val'kyr Shadowguards
, a pain in the rectum at level 80 but a cakewalk for level 90's that want to solo this boss because you'll be alone so you are the tank. Val'kyr do not target the tank therefore they stand there and look pretty, however there is the group wiper involved in this phase...
Defile
! (zomg get out of defile!!1111one1!) Move as soon as you see Arthas casting Defile, this gives you a lot of time to move out and keep that Defile small and tidy. Soul Reaper also comes in, no not a death knight's Soul Reaper, the Lich King's
Soul Reaper
. A very weak attack honestly so you can soak it - sure he gains haste but that is absolutely not the issue the phase transition is because of your defiles and where you have put them, if they are at the staircase, you have failed miserably (shame on you...) if they are not, congratulations and refer to the phase transition paragraph above this one.
Phase three is almost the same as phase two aside from one thing on normal mode. The Lich King will summon around eight to ten
Vile Spirits
, after thirty seconds these spirits will come down on you and use
Spirit Burst
, this will kill them in the process. To soak this up, simply use
AMS
and you'll be flying through that phase in no time! Nuke 'till 10%
End
The Lich King casts
Fury of Frostmourne
and this should instantly kill you unless... You use
Icebound Fortitude
! This will make you live through Fury and you can take Arthas down to 1% health or you can just wait and let the roleplay vibes flow through you, your choice. After that kill Arthas as he is stunned with no abilities and you are done.
And that's the end of my guide fellas! Hope this helped

Great guide. I would have never thought of using
Plague Scientist
in the
Blood-Queen Lana'thel
fight.

EDIT AS OF 14/06/2015 - This guide will no longer be receiving updates as it is horrifically outdated and any normal person can just walk in blind and blink at the boss before it dies.
Any edits towards the guide will be posted in this comment, if you see any mistakes or have any questions reply to this comment, thank you!
EDIT: Changed "Vile Spirit" to display its actual self and not Soul Reaper, sorry if this caused any confusion!
EDIT (Thanks to "Guy19") "70&" has been changed to "70%" The "three to be in fact" is between commas to make the sentence structure a little neater. Cheers.
EDIT (Due to many 'complaints' as I call them, yet they improve the guide so thanks.) I have included the description at the START of the guide so that you may all now see it.
EDIT: (Akula1) All 'topor's have been converted into 'torpor's. Thanks for your contribution! :)
I'm drafting out the Warlords of Draenor version, and it will be all-class friendly! Woohoo!
Lost the start of the new guide, then I found it again. This set me back a few days. Sorry!

Nice guide, like it, but I think it should be called "Icecrown Citadel:
DK
Solo Guide" because many of the tips are for a DK.
Edit: I've been lost for a time... nice improvements, and description is clear. Great job, buddy.

I am a beastmaster hunter and am getting owned by the bone spike graveyard. I can't outrun it. I can't out guess it. It skewers in my backside, and I quickly bleed to death. Anyone have a way around this? I am trying this solo with a spirit beast tank.
Oh yeah, FYI bone spike graveyard hits on solo now. At least for hunters.

Really need to be more specific when titling these soloing guides - stating that they are class specific and are of no help to any other players playing different classes.

A very minor detail, but I couldn't help but be bothered by it - the debuff is called curse of TORPOR, not topor.
Other than that, great guide, I'll try as soon as my DK has 530ish gear, seems to be the minimum to succeed.

Thanks! Been trying to solo ICC all weekend. I just can't get past gunship, though. Anyone have any tips for soloing gunship? I feel like I just can't keep up with everything that's happening and am not able to balance the gun, portal, and battle mage all at once. Thanks for the guide!

Good guide thx. Trouble is dps only classes (Frost/Unholy DK, Fury Warrior, Shadow Priest etc) can not get past the Crimson Hall or Plagueworks phase. You can only get to take on Sindragosa when you clear ALL the wings of the Spire. For DK, switching to Blood spec is ok but you need to have the right weapons available, so worth sourcing these before you start this phase of the raid.

Great guide, particularly with the LK fight, which is what I came here for as everything else (I was doing 10-man) was spank (with an occasional move out of a pool of acid).
That said, I think it could do with being clear about the parts of the fight where the ground falls away. I died 3 times because I ran in assuming I had to start hitting him again, only to get thrown off the top and killed. In the end I decided to just try standing at the base of the stairs and see what happened. Turns out that the stairs are the one thing that remain connected (never paid enough attention before to notice) to the top and so if you stay there and kill what comes at you eventually the LK comes back to you and you get to hit him again.

Just a note since blood DKs don't have bloodworms anymore: I used antiseptic bandages to heal Valithria Dreamwalker and it only took 3.
