Welcome to Wowhead's Arms Warrior Arena PvP Guide, up to date for 9.2! In this section of the guide, we will cover each Covenant and its viability for Arms Warriors. We explain the usefulness of each Covenant to an Arms Warrior in PvP, allowing you to make the best decision for your PvP playstyle. Recommendations for Soulbinds will be explored for each Covenant.

Covenants
Covenants are a key part of the Shadowlands expansion. Selecting a Covenant gives you access to exclusive abilities - one that is Covenant-wide, and one that is specific to your class. You will also be given a choice of Soulbinds to enhance your power. For more information on Covenants, click here.
Soulbinds
Soulbinding is a new progression system that allows you to bind yourself to a significant member of your Covenant and share some of their power. Each Covenant has three potential Soulbind options with unique bonuses which can be powered up through a Soulbind tree. As you gain Renown with your Covenant, more rows of your Soulbind tree will be unlocked. Conduits add further possibility for customization, filling empty sockets with one of three bonus types. Conduits
Conduits are available in three types; Potency, Endurance, and Finesse. Potency Conduits increase your spell power, Endurance Conduits provide additional defense, and Finesse Conduits provide you with additional utility. Some Conduits are the same across classes but some are specific to your class. For more information on Conduits, click here.
Best Covenant for Arms Warrior in PvP
The Covenants are in order from best to worst for Arms Warrior in PvP below. Keep in mind that these are prioritizing PvP as your main focus. Also keep in mind that
ALL Covenant choices are viable to achieve at least Gladiator rating in the 3v3 ladder
. So you can pick the optimal choice for your teams composition, or pick one of personal preference! If you PvE and want to stick with that preferred covenant whilst not wanting to push too high in arena, then that can still work.
Here is my order of the best covenants overall in arena PvP for Patch 9.2:
Kyrian/Necrolord
Venthyr
Night Fae
Kyrian and Necrolord have been the dominant covenant choices for a while in Shadowlands. The choice on this covenant mainly comes down to what's preferred in the composition you play. That being said, Kyrian seems to be the most versatile one, being preferred in most compositions you can play. Having

all the time can make offensive setups with your partners be created with ease, as well as add to peeling melee which can be nice for your teammates.
Necrolord can be on par simply due to the power of

with certain classes. Playing with a spec such as a Ret Paladin makes for devastating offensive setups when you pop your

with their

. It also has a strong soulbind tree and good survival with the addition of

, allowing you to absorb more pressure. It does extremely well in both brackets, although it will be a bit less versatile than Kyrian, in terms of compositions. That being said, it's still rank 1 viable with other comps, mainly in melee cleaves, so if you plan on playing a lot of melee cleaves, this covenant could be the choice for you!
Venthyr is still decent, but Kyrian and Necrolord have become more powerful. The aspect of having magic damage through

is less powerful now due to armor being nerfed, as well as
斩杀
being buffed, making the other covenants benefit from this change. It provides little team benefits, being a sole dps increase, which is why most people prefer playing with a Kyrian or Necrolord Warrior.
Night Fae is a very underrated covenant that is rarely seen in the arenas, but it can be pack a powerful punch. The damage dealt by

can be unsuspecting and deal excellent pressure, giving you a big win condition when timed well with other classes that can burst with you too! It also has excellent soulbind tree options for PvP, increasing its strength in the arena. That being said, the other covenant choices are more versatile and reliable, which is why this is placed last. It's also a bit of a gimmick if expected, could be relatively easy to survive, making it difficult to have other win conditions. The double legendary power will also be the weakest with this covenant, due to
自然之怒
being weak, compared to the other ones for an Arms Warrior. I'd personally love to try this as Turbocleave, or simply could be a fun spec to play when wanting to go for "1 shot" win conditions.
Changing Covenants - Factors to Consider
There are quite a number of factors to consider when picking a Covenant, considering ALL covenants can be viable to a certain degree. When you have access to the double legendary powers, I believe that Kyrian will be your best choice in most situations, with Necrolord being a possible contender in specific compositions.
Kyrian is the best all-rounder build as it can work well in every composition in both arena brackets! The main problem is that some compositions do work better with Necrolord, which is mainly the case in most Melee cleave compositions, as well as when playing with Kyrian DPS Druids, due to the strength they have with Necrolord classes. The double legendary makes this Covenant very appealing, being able to have

all the time, combined with other powerful legendaries which can swapped out depending on what you face. For instance, I'd have

most of the time, swapping to

against comps where I need more magic survivability. The
Necrolord will probably be the one Covenant that you'd want to change to in high rated arena games. It's mainly powerful in Warrior/Ret Paladin/Resto Shaman in 3v3, as you can align your

with a Ret Paladin's

, allowing them to deal absurd damage that can be difficult for most teams to deal with. It's great in most melee cleave comps, as well as Kyrian DPS Druids, to benefit from their powerful legendary.
That leaves us with Venthyr and Night Fae, which will be used for less competitive reasons (in PvP) but could be used if you have fun playing either of these covenants. They can both work well but won't be as strong as the other 2 Covenants and could make it more difficult to find partners due to people wanting the stronger choices. I personally like Venthyr in 2v2 scenarios as it's extra mobility with

can make it easy to keep up to Hunters or Druids, which are popular classes in this bracket. Night Fae can be a fun spec to play, dealing incredible 1 shot damage if you have fun trying to 1 shot players. It could also have decent synergy with Turbocleave, but ultimately it's the weakest out of all the other Covenants, so it will definitely play more into the "fun" factor rather than a competitive spec.
Conduits
Best Potency Conduits
致死连击
is the best potency conduit for all Covenants, giving you added consistent pressure, as well as helping out potentially during burst windows! It can proc on buffed up Mortal Strikes, giving you more damage overall. It could provide unsuspected damage, making it difficult to deal with when popping your offensive cooldowns.

(as Night Fae) - A necessity for Night Fae Warriors, given that

is your biggest win condition. As such, you'll need 3x Potency slots if you wish to play Night Fae and deal maximum pressure!

for consistent pressure. Can be nice to have when needing extra pressure, making it a boring, yet solid choice.

(as Necrolord) - Having this extra buff during your big offensive cooldown makes for a devastating combination, helping significantly with extra pressure!

(as Venthyr) - This conduit definitely can fluctuate, but it is quite reliable to maintain 1-4 stacks reliably, making it solid in my opinion. Having the increased Critical Strike rate on your Condemns will add quite a bit to your pressure!

(as Kyrian) - Having extra pressure and rage during this offensive cooldown makes this a solid conduit to have for Kyrian Warriors.
Best Finesse Conduits

- An incredibly powerful finesse conduit due to

being on a low cooldown, making it useful in any defensive situation. The only time this conduit could be lackluster is when you are the main kill target, in which case most soulbind trees provide the option to swap the route and pick up

. Note that even with Intervene lasting 3 seconds, this conduit still lasts for 6 seconds, making it just as powerful still.

- An underrated finesse conduit that can be very powerful for keeping up to your targets, as well as peeling enemy players off your partners more often! You should use this instead of

when not playing with

, or when using it for up-time and kiting ability.

- Another powerful conduit that can bolster your

, as well as increasing in power when playing with

. As such, you may want to pair this conduit and PvP talent together in matchups where you need them, being a good extra defensive option against high burst damage.
Best Endurance Conduits

- Simply the most powerful endurance conduit by far, making

a 1 minute 24 second cooldown (if you have the 252 item level version of this conduit). This allows you to use it way more often, as well as being able to trade it with nearly every powerful offensive cooldown in the game!

- Is a decent 2nd endurance conduit to have, increasing with power if you deal more damage. This can be nice to utilize in situations where you don't want to go into defensive stance, but you want to reduce some pressure on yourself.

- This conduit is now your 3rd best endurance conduit, giving arms warrior a tiny bit more self-healing. Its recent nerf has made it less desirable.

- With the buff to

, this conduit could be used whenever you play with this talent, giving you extra self healing, which could be beneficial in niche situations
The Ideal tree for an Arms Warrior will try to involve
3x Potency conduits, 2x Endurance conduits and 1x Finesse conduit
, using my previously mentioned priority list above.. Alternatively, a
2x Potency, 2x Endurance and 2x Finesse
will also suffice, given that certain soulbind trees provide better soulbinds in their respective routes. This will be showcased in the Soulbind trees of each covenant choice which I will take you through!

Playing as a Kyrian Arms Warrior in PvP
Signature Covenant Ability -
召唤执事者
静谧之瓶
is a decent life-saver, pretty much gaining a
治疗石
usage in an arena game, being used like an emergency potion to save you from the brink of death. It also benefits from having a higher Health Pool, so it can be used in conjunction with
宇宙角斗士的纹章
, increasing the healing throughput of the Phial!
One hindrance of this ability is that even though it has 3 stacks, you won't access the later ones unless you leave combat. If you do somehow manage to leave combat after using 1 Phial, then it will be on a
3 minute cooldown
until you can use a second stack, which is unlikely to happen in most arena games.
Class Covenant Ability -

晋升堡垒之矛
is a powerful ability, forcing enemy targets to stay in your range, allowing you to crush your chosen targets with ease. It can also be used as a defensive measure, stopping enemy targets from reaching your partners, allowing your partners to kite them!
极乐伟力
also increases the power of this Covenant ability by a ton, making it mandatory to take and it will be easier to maintain this legendary when you have access to double legendary powers! It's a highly versatile spell that, typically used offensively, that can work well in 2v2 or 3v3 games!
A big part of making use out of it is that you'll have to land it well. It being a skill-shot means that you may have to have a bit of practice using it well, but once you master it then you will reap the benefits from it!
Factors to Consider
Having
极乐伟力
opts for a Critical Strike oriented build, in case you have other stats, so try to get as much Versatility + Crit items. You should bare in mind when you want to burst, adding
晋升堡垒之矛
to the fray means you could use it just after popping
灭战者
on your desired target(s), to increase the damage your Spear does, or to split up these offensive cooldowns, making it more difficult for the enemy team to peel.
晋升堡垒之矛
is excellent with other melee players, typically using it when both of you can burst a target down, allowing you and your melee partner to slay someone every minute! This is especially good in a composition like TSG, with a Frost Death Knight, that can deal absurd AoE damage, being able to

targets into a

, allowing you to easily land

on 2 targets and deal and absurd amount of 2 target pressure!
One big downside to
晋升堡垒之矛
is that quite a number of abilities from certain classes can allow them to escape the spear, avoiding your melee range and the pressure from the spear itself. Here are the spells to be wary of, so that you can look to be more cautious with your spear on these classes/specializations.
A Paladin's

and

usages against any Warlock team
Demon Hunters can use

from Death Knights
from Holy or Shadow Priests, as well as Holy being able to use

Mistweaver Monks will commonly play with

to run out of the Spear's radius.
As such, you should be careful with using the spear on classes with access to these spells, either waiting to use them or simply using them to bait out these defensive cooldowns. It also has diminishing effects with other knock effects, such as

Pelagos is now the weakest tree out of the 3 choices, due to the addition of the new Soulbinds.

gives a big bonus to your pressure during your

setups.

is also a welcome sight, helping reduce magic damage which is usually the main weakness of an Arms Warrior.

is also a strong bonus that can proc, which all in all looks nice, however in general I just find all the soulbinds a little bit weaker in comparison to Mikanikos or Kleia.
Renown 3:
Until you reach Renown 43, going with the route that gives

is your best choice simply to keep 1 or 2 potency conduits, allowing you to get an early

.

itself is useless in arena. Once you hit Renown 43, then you'll want to swap this route and take

as this is much more powerful, increasing the healing your Phial does by a ton! You could also still make use of the potency slot (again, when you're at Renown 43), in which case you'll put

in it, making it a nice choice for comps where you need more powerful offensive setups. The finesse slot should contain

when you reach Renown 43.

This is completely optional. I prefer taking

could be a good alternative for PvE players that could make use out of it.

here so you can always have it, allowing you to swap your Renown 3 soulbind choice with more ease. This will allow you to put

Renown 25:
Here you can put

in the finesse slot and

in the endurance slot, seeing as both are useful in different situations, depending if you want the increased self-survivability, or if you want a bit better up-time/peeling.
Renown 43:
Now you can swap your

from the Renown 3 tree and put it here, having it all the time!
Renown 46 + 51:
Both options are good here.

is quite powerful for mobility and extra damage reduction, picking up another finesse conduit, which should have

in its place. You could still use

when preferring a bit of extra damage and not needing
虔敬者之路
, meaning you'll have

in the endurance conduit slot.
Kleia will mainly be a good choice for 2 reasons. The first is due to the amount of extra crit you gain from Kleia, picking up

and

which will help increase your passive pressure, which also has good synergy with
极乐伟力
. The second reason is if you're struggling against Feral Druid or Assassination Rogue compositions, you could utilize
晋升之瓶
and

together, helping significantly to reduce their pressure. The problem with this route means that you won't have an ideal soulbind tree, so as such it will only be used if you're struggling to live without it.
1st + 2nd Row:
As previously discussed, both options can be taken depending on what you face, going the

route to pickup your early potency conduit, using
致死连击
in its place until you can pickup another potency conduit slot.
师徒一心
can be quite useful itself when you're not the kill target.
晋升之瓶
will be a situational choice to help counter Assassination Rogues or Feral Druids if you really need this extra defence!
Renown 9:
Putting

here will be your best course of action.
Renown 13:

is the best choice here, giving you a little extra absorb shield at the start of games, or sometimes even during games where you are kiting or being heavily crowd controlled.
Renown 18:

here, being the best endurance conduit to have.

The endurance slot should contain

, leading to a powerful Renown 34 choice. That leaves your second potency slot which should have

Once at this Renown, going the endurance route will be the best most of the time, picking up

, being excellent to have for a DPS increase and self-survival route! The potency and the finesse route seems the weakest, which I personally wouldn't want to use if I did pick Kleia.
Renown 42:
Now you can put your
致死连击
in this slot, allowing you to put

in the second row at the top.
Renown 45:

is a good choice here in defensive situations, being able to use your
静谧之瓶
for other players which could be the difference between life or death! This will probably be taken the majority of the time, in comparison to

which can be a little boost in DPS in the arena. also works with

which should be warranted if you do decide to play with this, in order to deal with Assassination Rogues or Feral Druids
Renown 49:
You can now put your

in here, allowing you to put

in its place on Renown 28. You could also put your

here, or put it in the 1st row if you want to take

Forgelite Prime Mikanikos in my opinion is the best soulbind tree now given the new Soulbind abilities, being a great offensive and defensive tree!

is one of the best deterrents in the game, being able to proc whilst you're in a stun, which can be excellent against heavy burst teams that are trying to kill you in stuns, for example, against Windwalker Monks or Sub Rogues.

effect is weak, although it can be nice to keep healers or stealth classes in combat!

is a crazy powerful soulbind that not only increases your damage every

, but it also lowers its cooldowns when you hit players or pets with your spear. This is excellent as having a low cooldown Spear means you can make more offensive setups, potentially lining it up with

usages, which will make it more difficult for the enemy team to survive.

could also be a nice choice that you can abuse in openers, such as against double Sub Rogues, or if you simply want the 3rd potency conduit slot.
1st Row:
Picking up the Potency conduit is your best and only real choice here, using
致死连击
until renown 29 or 41.
2nd Row:

is picked up, which can be good in situations where you are caught in stun windows and unable to use your Phial. This conduit automatically procs Phial for you, making it more difficult for you to die in a stun window.

is very weak, being difficult to make great use out of it, considering your phial is such a low cooldown and would mainly be used to heal you.
3rd Row:
Put

here as soon as you get it, being the best finesse conduit overall.
4th Row:

could actually have some uses in certain arena maps, but overall this choice can be optional.
5th Row:

should be used here, being the best endurance conduit to have.
Renown 29:
Here you can go 2 different routes. The Potency conduit route is nice as you gain

here, giving you nice boost in DPS. For the more defensive route, you will pickup the Finesse conduit route which allows you to gain

Renown 31:
I personally use

most of the time, being a powerful defensive soulbind to have when facing teams that try to burst you down during stun windows. One warning for using this is that it will share stun DRs so it may be less effective in some situations, and it isn't tracked normally on Gladius/sArena, which means you'll have to be extra careful when using your stuns.

can be powerful in niche situations, but the main reason you pick this route is to have a 3rd Potency Conduit slot throughout your tree.

is the worst option here as its effect is limited in arena games, which means i'd only pick between the other 2 routes.
Renown 41:
Now you'll make a few swaps, putting

in this slot, allowing you to put

in the first row slot, which then allows you to put

in the Renown 29 slot!
Renown 48:

is heavily nerfed in PvP instances, making it too weak to use.

will be the better option, giving you damage increase on your choice of target, as long as you're being a bit careful with who you hit.
Renown 53:
You should only be using the endurance conduit slot here, in which case it should contain

, being your 2nd best endurance conduit.
Playing as a Necrolord Arms Warrior in PvP
Signature Covenant Ability -
血肉铸造
The buff to this shield makes it deal an incredible amount of extra absorption, which can make it tedious for compositions with setups to go through. It can be nice to use at the start of games if you want the extra absorption to deal with pressure at the start of games, being able to increase its absorption amount dramatically if used with
骨魔护肩
and even
集结呐喊
. You will also use this during games, ideally when it can't be interrupted, helping you reduce pressure on yourself.
Class Covenant Ability -
征服者战旗
The banner's effect gives a ton of Mastery, being a useful stat for Warriors as well as most other classes in general, so it's a useful buff for most party members in 2v2 and 3v3 games! You can use this for yourself, ideally when you have a
猝死
proc, then popping your offensive cooldowns to deal a massive
斩杀
crit, which can obliterate your opponent!
That being said, when playing 3v3 games, it may be stronger to use your
征服者战旗
for your DPS partner instead. This is the case when playing with a Retribution Paladin, typically lining up your banner with their
复仇之怒
, making them deal absurd damage.
The movement speed aspect will also make it easy to swing momentum and pressure in your favor, especially when playing with another melee class, allowing them to move with ease.
Factors to Consider
Playing as a Necrolord is mainly due to your composition in 3v3, or personal preference in 2v2.
征服者战旗
should mainly be used when dealing a ton of pressure, used with your own offensive cooldowns or your partners' ones. Mainly Necrolord is considered when playing Melee cleaves that deal crazy burst pressure, which you rely on for kills, such as when playing with a Ret Paladin or a Windwalker Monk. It's also great when paired with a Kyrian Feral or Balance Druid, due to the excellent synergy of
志趣亲和
, which will warrant you to play as a Necrolord.
You may also consider going a Haste build when playing with the
持久挥砍
legendary (being your usual go-to legendary power), however I personally prefer a Crit build anyway. The choice is up to you though as the difference is quite minimal.
Marileth remains to be the best soulbind choice for Necrolord Arms Warriors, which I would use in 100% of the time. Not only can you keep 3 potency conduits easily, but you gain other powerful soulbind conduits from Marileth.

is an incredibly powerful soulbind, giving you crowd control immunity, making

stronger,which can negate crowd control if timed well.

will also bolster your big offensive setups, giving extra pressure as well as a tiny bit of extra healing for you and your allies!
Renown 3:
Here you'll want to put your

in this slot as it's your first potency slot, as well as receiving

. This soulbind gives a nice extra boost of self healing. so this is by far the best route to take.
Renown 9:
Put your

here as it's your best endurance conduit by far.

This choice is purely optional, so choose whichever one you prefer.

Here you can put

in the endurance slot. You can swap these inside the arena, depending on what you face, but most of the time you'll probably use

in this slot. In this specific tree, all the potency slots will most likely always be chosen, but if you want to swap out the first tree for some reason, then you should swap this potency slot conduit on row 3, with

Renown 46:
This row can be a bit situational, with

being a bit better for self-survival, whereas

is nice for kiting or reaching targets. It could also come down to which conduits you want to use at Renown 51.
Renown 51:
Here I would put

in the finesse slot and

in the endurance. Again this row is situational, depending on which soulbinds you like against certain compositions, although I would prefer the endurance route as a default choice into most compositions.
Emeni has some nice niche conduit slots, but lacks the power of the other specific soulbinds that Marileth provides. Gaining
硫磺喷发
is a welcome sight, being quite a nice deterrent on a low cooldown. However, it's only specific if you're the one dropping low, as well as being DR with other
恐惧
effects.
身先士卒
is a nice addition to making your covenant ability more powerful, dealing more pressure during your offensive setups.
脓疮迸裂
does quite a bit of damage, but not enough to warrant the use of Emeni over Marileth.
1st + 2nd Row:
You should go down the potency conduit route, getting an early
致死连击
as well as picking up

, making you extra tanky during

Renown 7:
I would put

here, being the best finesse conduit to have most of the time.
Renown 13:
This choice is completely optional, but

Renown 28 + 34:
Here I'd suggest going towards the potency or finesse conduit route, depending if you want more defense or offense.

is simply lacklustre, being unwanted. The potency conduit route can allow you to gain

Heirmir is a weak choice for Necrolord, given that 2 potency conduit trees lead to an undesirable soulbind ability.
炉脉幻想
gives a bit of extra strength and armor which isn't too great, nor too bad. Its afterlife effect is rarely any useful in an arena game.

Doesn't feel too amazing, although it will have good synergy with your

Executes. The healer part of this soulbind will also be useless, considering you can't heal other allies. Basically, I don't see myself picking Heirmir over the other 2 soulbind tree choices in any situation. The soulbinds that are nice usually leads to having to use 3-4 endurance conduits, which is not great for an Arms Warrior.
1st + 2nd Row:
Here you'll want to start going with the potency route (until renown 41), to get an early

Now you should put

here, which leads to swapping around your other potency conduits, in case you want to use the earlier trees and swap around tree routes.
Renown 48 + 53:
Here the choices are basically more pressure versus more tankiness.

gives extra Mastery, making it decent for beginning pressure in arena games. It leads to another endurance slot, which is fine if it's your 2nd endurance slot, giving you

.

is an extra tanky option, but only beneficial against compositions where this can have a high up-time, such as melee cleaves or Jungle, as well as being only slightly beneficial. It can allow you to have

though, which can be nice for uptime.
Playing as a Night Fae Arms Warrior in PvP
Signature Covenant Ability -
灵魂变形
灵魂变形
is a nice addition to an Arms Warrior's mobility, giving you an added mobility cooldown to kite targets or catch up to them! This will most likely be used for chasing down elusive targets, making healer race-zerg matchups more favorable for you.
Class Covenant Ability -

This ability itself can do a lot of damage, whilst the knocking effect be extremely potent in PvP situations. The initial damage can be powerful enough to cause panic, forcing defensive cooldowns. Usually you will want to use both

and
灭战者
to increase the burst of
上古余震
, making it deal maximum damage. The damage AOE effect on the ground is very lacklustre, as well as the enemy player will be able to move out of it with ease.
Factors to Consider
Whilst this won't change any rotation or talents yourself, it could be best to be paired with a partner that can deal high burst at the same time to try and global your enemies. This has excellent synergy in Turbo Cleave due to Enhancement Shaman's

that could be used at the same time, to take someone down rapidly!
Your playstyle as this covenant will rely on bursting down your opponents, so as such you'll be wanting to create strong offensive setups in order to try 100>0 enemy targets. This means in general playing aggressive builds and maximizing your "1 shot" mechanic but using a lot of offensive cooldowns together.
Niya gives 3 potency conduits as well as 2 other good soulbind choices, making Niya a great tree for Night Fae and would be warranted if you want as much damage as possible!

is a decent buff, not being too powerful but strong enough to be useful.

seems quite good and will have better synergy when playing with partners of different covenants.
1st + 2nd Row:
Picking up your First potency conduit in order to have

early on.

is also quite nice for extra self healing when kiting or chasing targets. You'll be using this route all the time since both choices here are better than the other tree route.

should be used here, being the best finesse conduit to have.

This row is completely optional, so choose whichever is more fitting for you.

A staple endurance conduit, making

the best choice.
Renown 25 + 30:
Here the best choice is the potency conduit route, allowing you to have

to dramatically increase your burst pressure, being key in this Covenant choice. You'll also gain

giving you even more damage, being the better choice out of the other 2 options as well!
Renown 43:
You should put

in here, having 3 powerful potency conduits which should all be staple choices, given the nature of this tree.
Renown 46 + 51:
Both these routes can be very powerful for different situations. That being said,

will be chosen most of the time, increasing your survivability when dropping low, on a relatively low cooldown, making it excellent against setup heavy compositions that try to take you down. It will also allow you to pick up
不得安宁
as nice extra finesse conduit.

could be used in situations where you don't need the extra survivability and value having more mobility, being especially useful in 2v2 situations when against targets without heavy snares or no spammable snares, such as Fire Mages or Demon Hunters. You'll also be picking up
野蛮活力
which is quite decent.
Dreamweaver feels like the best overall choice, having 3 Potency conduits whilst picking up solid conduits that are very potent in PvP.
灵茧守护者
is a nice life-saving ability as well, however on a 10 minute cooldown, as well as being killed, it may not always be too useful, but sometimes it will save your life! During your burst windows,
繁华原野
is a welcome sight but may not be too useful unless you can lock your target down.
梦境探索者
grants additional damage, being a nice bonus in arena games.
1st Row:
Here you can put
捍卫
in the finesse route and
野蛮活力
in the endurance route, picking whichever one is more useful depending if you are the main target or not. Most of the time,
捍卫
will be picked, especially in most 3v3 games.
2nd Row:
Putting
致死连击
in here will be your best choice.
Renown 9 + 13:
The best route to go through here is with
延缓之声
, being quite an obnoxious and powerful conduit, being excellent to have in arena games. It also will lead you to another potency slot, allowing you to pick up
毁灭回响
too!

could be a niche, decent alternative when not needing the extra potency slot, and want another endurance conduit.
Renown 21:
A great place to put your

in.
Renown 29:
Here the choice is completely optional.
Renown 42:
You can put your

here, picking up the 3 big potency conduits in this tree, which will most likely never change.
Renown 45 + 49:

is a nice extra amount of self healing, which seems stronger in comparison to
狡诈之梦
. You will also gain another finesse conduit, allowing you to pick up

, being the better route overall.
Korayn appears to be the weakest choice, most likely never being picked up as it's not as strong as the other 2 trees.
荒猎团战术
is nice overall, given extra burst which can be used in conjunction with
上古余震
, increasing your burst damage potential.
狂野狩猎策略
will also bolster this ability and strengthen your damage quite significantly, but overall I would never really pick Korayn over the other 2 soulbind trees.
1st + 2nd Row:
The potency conduit route is the clear winner, picking up an early
致死连击
, as well as
荒猎号角
being more beneficial than
荒猎冲锋
.
3rd Row:
Another easy pickings for taking
捍卫
here.
4th Row:
The choice is optional, although

is slightly more useful in PvP scenarios.
5th Row:

should be another easy choice here.
Renown 28 + 31:
The best route here will be the potency route, allowing you to pick up

. It also gives you

being quite a nice bonus for extra damage.

could have its niche usages but will be hard to maintain as a Warrior, considering you'll be on the move most of the time.
Renown 41:
Now you'll have 3 potency slots, picking up

for even more pressure.
Renown 48 + 53:
Both routes can be nice here, although I see
沃卡伊伏击
being the main go-to when you are against casters or healers that you'll interrupt the majority of the time, which does require you to hit your Pummel, rewarding you for better gameplay. As such, you'll pickup
野蛮活力
being the next best endurance conduit choice.
狩猎刺激
could be a nicer option when not able to utilize your interrupts for high up-time of
沃卡伊伏击
, in which case you gain a little bit of self healing. Then you'll also gain a finesse slot, picking up
不得安宁
.
Playing as a Venthyr Arms Warrior in PvP
Signature Covenant Ability -
暗影之门
Having extra mobility is always a welcome sight, even if it's a long cooldown. Being able to bait interrupts with it could also be quite useful in PvP, especially if you're playing with a caster or a healer that's desperate to get casts off.
Class Covenant Ability -
判罪
Having extra damage in the form of Magic pressure is also an excellent addition to a Warrior's toolkit in PvP. It can help against any high armored class/spec, being able to cut through them like butter!. It also reduces damage an enemy can deal to you, increasing your survivability. It's the simplest one to use, being that it replaces
斩杀
, requiring no extra binding to use.
A big downside to this now is that
判罪
does not hit as hard as
斩杀
, making it weaker into squishier targets that don't have a ton of armour, which is most of these classes in the current meta.
Factors to Consider
屠杀
will also become a staple talent, taking it all the time when playing Venthyr.
You could also look to take
死亡裁决
for increased mobility, since it works well with
判罪
, giving you extra mobility! This synergy is now nerfed though, making it non mandatory, but it could be nice to use if struggling to connect to certain targets.
Nadija will be the best choice when wanting more aggression and will the best default tree pick, being able to have 3 potency conduits with its most desired tree route.
兴奋追猎者
may not proc too often in PvP, but when it does, it can help with extra burst pressure - provided you have up-time.
致命缺陷
packs a serious punch, but again it may not proc too often in an arena game.
1st + 2nd Row:
Here you'll always go the potency conduit route, picking up an early

for extra pressure.

is also an excellent way of making more use out of your

able to crowd control enemy targets, being useful for peeling. Be careful when using it though, as it does diminishing return with your

You have 2 choices here. Picking up a second potency conduit can be nice here, allowing you to have

can be another nice choice when not needing the crowd control reduction and where you plan on tunneling 1 target throughout most of the game. This can also allow you to pick up

in this route. The middle choice is horrible as a Warrior, considering

is weak in itself (in PvP) and you'd be picking up another endurance conduit which is the weakest compared to the other alternatives.

Now you can put your

. This will allow you to have more freedom when swapping those routes, depending on the matchups, without losing out on

Renown 46 + 51:

will only be useful when playing with Warlocks, having access to a

and needing as much self survival as possible, which will be very niche in general. You could then place your

in the finesse slot here, which will further increase your survivability. Outside of that, you should be playing with

nearly all the time, which is a neat bonus if needing to kite away from melee. You'll also pickup

for your endurance conduit, being a nice self-survival bonus.
Theotar is never picked as an Arms Warrior, due to the power of the other 2 trees outweighing this tree immensely.

is quite weak, not usually doing too much in an arena game at all.

is a bit lacklustre and RNG, making it not favourable compared to Nadija or Draven's last soulbinds.
1st+ 2nd Row:
Both rows are decent, but the endurance one is a bit better personally.

is handy against heavy root compositions, as well as picking up

can be alright for extra charges but the long cooldown makes it less attractive.

is a very sizeable versatility buff. The downside of this is that it can be offensively dispelled.
Renown 42:
Now you can put your

here, swapping out the Renown 28 potency slot with

. This means you should go with the finesse route at Renown 28, in order to pick up

Renown 45 + 49:
You only have one real choice here - picking up

, which can help a tiny bit with self-healing, but ultimately isn't too valuable. You can put your

conduit in this finesse slot, considering you will never change this option.
Draven will be the best defensive soulbind tree for Venthyr, gaining

which makes you more durable as soon as your health drops to 40%, being excellent when you are the main kill target or worried about dying to heavy offensive setup compositions.

can be a nice addition, increasing in strength in 3v3 arenas, adding a small double benefit to damage done and damage reduction.
First and Second row:
For Arms Warriors, going the finesse route will be more favorable, picking up
捍卫
for your partners and
持续阴霾
which has recently been buffed, being quite powerful for increased survivability.
Third Row:
here you should put your
致死连击
in for more pressure.
Fourth Row:
This is a completely optional choice, so choose whichever one is more suitable for you.
Fifth Row:
Another easy choice, putting your

here.
Renown 29 + 31:
All 3 options here can be nice depending on your matchup. The potency route allows you to pick up

for more pressure as well as gaining
坚守阵地
which can be excellent against offensive setups, giving you more health during heavy stun lock windows, which could also be the difference between life or death. You could also abuse this at the start of games, standing still to get the buff up. Another endurance slot is usually not too welcome, however it will allow you to gain

which is extremely powerful against casters or healers if you're able to Pummel them often. It gives you a massive amount of extra pressure, making it worth to take the endurance conduit and putting

in it.

has also been buffed, making it an excellent option especially if you know you aren't the kill target, giving you 5% extra strength throughout the arena game. You can also pick up

, which is nice against teams where you need more uptime or kiting power.
