This guide provides tips and strategies for defeating the Conclave of the Chosen encounter in Normal Difficulty in Battle of Dazar'alor. Changes to the fight for the other difficulties are listed below in their respective sections, including tips and strategies for dealing with the new mechanics introduced in these difficulties. Conclave of the Chosen is a single phase encounter in which the raid will face against two aspect of the loa bosses. As one aspect falls, it is replaced by another until all four aspects have been defeated. The Loa frequently help the aspects throughout the encounter by using a powerful wrath spell!
Conclave of the Chosen is the fifth boss in Battle of Dazar'alor and the second Alliance Story Encounter. Horde will participate in this encounter through a flashback event by talking to a Scout and changing their race and racials. Find out more about the Flashback Race Changes by

Conclave of the Chosen Abilities & Strategy

The encounter begins with the raid facing against

. When either of these are killed,

is triggered.
This heals the other active aspect boss and give them a 15% damage dealt increase which can stack.
Once either
帕库的化身
or
贡克的化身
is defeated,
吉布尔的化身
will join the encounter.
Once another aspect has been defeated,
阿昆达的化身
will join the encounter.
The order in which the aspect bosses join the encounter is set and will not change, regardless of what order you defeat them in.
With this is mind, it is recommended that you always defeat the aspect that has a stack of
神灵的愤怒
, as they will be dealing 15% more damage.
If neither aspect has a stack of
神灵的愤怒
, such as at the beginning of the fight, we recommend that you kill the aspect boss that is most dangerous.
The aspect boss considered most dangerous by most players is
帕库的化身
and should be defeated first.
As the remaining aspect boss will heal back to full health, DPS should not actively look to cleave or multidot the aspect not currently being focused down.
Only classes who gain additional single target damage via multidotting/cleaving should do so on this encounter.

When two aspect bosses are within 7 yards of one another, they will gain the
神灵的契约
buff.
This decreases the damage they take by 90% and increases the damage they deal by 90%. The buff is removed once the aspect bosses are moved over 7 yards apart.
Tanks must position the two active aspect bosses at least 8 yards apart at all times to ensure that the
神灵的契约
buff is never triggered.
Each aspect boss has abilities which they will cast themselves, as well as one Wrath ability cast by the Loa they represent.
The Wrath ability is cast throughout the fight, even after the aspect boss has been defeated.
The Wrath ability will come into play once the corresponding aspect boss has activated.
This means the raid will have to deal with
帕库的愤怒
and
贡克的愤怒
from the beginning of the encounter to the very end, with
吉布尔的愤怒
and
阿昆达的愤怒
abilities coming in once those aspect bosses have activated.
It's important to note that the
吉布尔的愤怒
and
阿昆达的愤怒
timers will start when the aspect bosses activate, allowing players to choose which abilities overlap and when.

Each consecutive melee attack against the same target will increase the attack speed of
帕库的化身
by 8%.
This effect stacks and will reset once
帕库的化身
has hit a different target.
Tanks can taunt off of one another to reset this stack. This will briefly grant the bosses the
神灵的契约
buff as the pass, but not for too long.
Alternatively, another player can taunt the boss, such as a melee dps. Once they have received one hit and reset the
急速之风
buff, the tank can taunt back.
We recommend that you reset this buff when it reaches 20-30 stacks (depending on the confidence of your tanks).

will occasionally cast

, applying a 15 second magical buff to all enemies, including both bosses and any adds.
This buff increases haste by 45% and movement speeds by 75%.
This buff should be purged off of all enemies as soon as possible.
Mages may wish to spellsteal this buff, as the additional haste grants a large output increase.

Every 70 seconds,

will appear in the middle of the encounter area and fly to one edge of the room. Paku cannot be interacted with.
Upon reaching the edge of the room, it will channel
帕库的愤怒
for 8 seconds.
This deals heavy nature damage to all players further than 10 yards away from Paku every second, and light nature damage to all players within 10 yards every second.
The raid must quickly identify where Paku is within the room and stand within the 10 yard zone around her as to minimize the damage taken from this ability.
Tank's must ensure that the two active aspect bosses are kept apart during this time by taking them on either side of the safe zone.
Stay within the safe zone during

at the tank, dealing physical damage to all players in a 9 yard 90-degree cone directed at the tank every 0.5 sec for 4 seconds.

away from any nearby players when this ability is cast, whilst anyone nearby ensures they do not stand in front of

This is most easily done by having any melee players stand directly behind
贡克的化身
when they are damaging her.

Upon reaching 100 energy,

This applies a 5 second curse debuff to random non-tank players. These players are unable to attack or cast spells whilst the hex is active.
Upon expiration or decursing, the curse will spread to all players within 8 yards.
Players afflicted with

must move 8+ yards away from others before the debuff expires.
Players who can decurse can do so to reduce the length of the curse, but they must ensure that the player is at least 8+ yards away from others.
The raid should be loosely stacked in the middle of the encounter space to ensure there is always a nearby area the
恶意妖术
players can safely move to.
恶意妖术
can be applied to players just before
帕库的愤怒
.
The afflicted players must wait for their curse to end before entering the safe zone, as they would otherwise spread it to the stacked raid group.

will appear in the middle of the encounter space and cast

Each add will fixate a random player, marking them with

, before chasing them down.
Upon reaching a player they will deal moderate physical damage with their attacks until they decide to recast

All DPS should quickly switch to the

s to kill them off as soon as possible.
The adds are susceptible to multiple forms of crowd control, including stuns, slows and displacements.
These crowd control spells should be used to keep the
贪婪的追猎者
s away from their fixated target, as to keep incoming raid damage to a minimum.

can be cast during a
帕库的愤怒
.
The raid should be prepared to keep the adds at bay whilst within the safe zone, using crowd control to keep them back.
After
帕库的愤怒
has ended, the raid can safely kite and kill the adds.
Once either
帕库的化身
or

has been defeated,

will join the encounter.
We recommend that

is killed at this point, due to the high tank damage and disruption caused by the

.
Whichever boss you kill, it's recommended to kill the boss just before or during

as to ensure that the new
吉布尔的愤怒
ability timer does not overlap with
帕库的愤怒
.

will frequently cast
裂爪猛击
at the tank, dealing a burst of physical damage to all players within a cone and applying a light physical damage dot which lasts 45 seconds.
This ability is cast often enough to stack, forcing tanks to taunt swap to allow the debuff to expire.
We recommend that the tanks taunt swap on the 3-4 stack mark.

Every 60 seconds,

will appear in the middle of the encounter space and mark multiple players. Just like the other Loa,
吉布尔
cannot be interacted with.
Moments later he will leap at each player in turn, dealing a moderate burst of physical damage and knocking down all players within 5 yards of the intended target.
All players hit by the leap will receive a stack of
血流不止
, a permanent debuff which deals low physical damage every second. This can stack.
Players marked by
吉布尔的愤怒
need to move over 5 yards away from any other player to ensure that only the marked targets are hit by the ability and receive the bleed.
Healers must be prepared to keep the debuffed players healthy throughout the encounter. This becomes more difficult towards the end of the encounter, as more players will have the debuff.
Once either

has been defeated,

will join the encounter.
We recommend that

is defeated here, as she has one stack of the

damage increase.
Once again, whichever boss you defeat here, it's recommended that you kill the boss at the beginning or during
帕库的愤怒
as to ensure that the new
吉布尔的愤怒
ability timer does not overlap with
阿昆达的愤怒
.
阿昆达
's Aspect

will frequently cast
雷鸣风暴
, creating a 10 yard zone around herself which will detonate at the end of the cast, dealing high nature damage to any player within it.
All nearby players need to move away from
阿昆达的化身
to dodge this ability.
阿昆达的化身
will not move once the
雷鸣风暴
cast has begun, allowing the tank to also easily dodge the ability.
Move away from

when

is cast.

magic debuffs to mutliple players. This 30 second debuff causes the player to "forget" all of their abilities whilst the debuff is on them.
Healers need to quickly dispel these debuffs as to allow the players to gain access to their abilities once again.
An interesting side effect of

is that the afflicted targets name will change to "
阿昆达
the Wiped" whilst under its effect.
Spread out when afflicted by

Every 60 seconds,

will appear in the middle of the encounter space and cast
阿昆达的愤怒
before spawning. Just like the other Loa,
阿昆达
cannot be interacted with.
This will apply a 6 second debuff to several members of the raid. This debuff explodes upon expiration, dealing high nature damage to anyone within 5 yards whilst spewing out several
静电之球
s.
The
静电之球
s will travel across the encounter space, dealing damage and stunning players for 2 seconds if they come into contact with it.
All debuffed players should spread out around the encounter space to ensure nobody takes the splash damage from the
阿昆达的愤怒
debuff.
This will also help spread the orbs out, creating gaps for players to move between to avoid them.
阿昆达的愤怒
will cast 30 seconds after
阿昆达的化身
enters the encounter.
If you killed the previous aspect boss during a
帕库的愤怒
, this will off-set the two wrath abilities in such a way that they will never overlap with one another.
Once
阿昆达的化身
joins the fray, the raid should defeat
吉布尔的化身
next, as he has a stack of the
神灵的愤怒
damage increase.
After
吉布尔的化身
is defeated, the raid should then kill
阿昆达的化身
and the encounter will be completed.
Heroic Difficulty
陨落哭嚎
Whenever an aspect boss is defeated, they will let out one final spell
陨落哭嚎
.
This applies a 6 second debuff to all players which deals moderate nature damage every 0.5 seconds.
This damage can be lethal when in combination with other incoming damage sources.
Healers should use at least one healing cooldown each time
陨落哭嚎
is triggered to help counteract the incoming damage.
Pack Hunter
Whenever
贪婪的追猎者
adds spawned via
贡克的愤怒
are within 5 yards of one another, they will gain the Pack Hunter buff.
This 5 second buff increases their movement speed by 75% and grants crowd control immunity.
The players with
掠食印记
need to ensure they do not kite their
贪婪的追猎者
into another add, otherwise it is likely that the raptor will catch up to them and deal substantial melee damage to them.

Move away from the landing location of

Throughout the encounter, the Loa
卡格瓦
will appear in the middle of the encounter space and cast
卡格瓦的愤怒
.
卡格瓦
does not have an aspect boss associated with it.
卡格瓦
will then jump to one of the three players who is furthest away from it, dealing damage and kncoking back all players within it's landing zone.
After jumping four times,
卡格瓦
will despawn.
卡格瓦
could theoretically be baited into jumping into two separate groups of three players, allowing all other players to ignore the mechanic.
That being said, the time it takes for
卡格瓦
to jump from one spot to another is fixed. Regardless of distance, he will always take the same time to get from point A to point B.
Therefore, players can simply just move from the swirly zone
卡格瓦
marks each time he jumps. This will counter the mechanic just as well as setting up two "bounce" teams.
卡格瓦的愤怒
will occur during
帕库的愤怒
on the 1st, 4th and 5th
帕库的愤怒
. Players must exercise extreme caution, as being hit during this could knock players out of the safe zone and lead to their demise.
Mythic Difficulty
Conclave of the Chosen has minimal mechanical additions to the encounter. Instead the difficulty lies in dealing with minor mechanical tweaks, a new
神灵的愤怒
ability and a large amount of incoming damage.
Due to the increased incoming damage, we would recommend that 5 healers are brought to this encounter, as the bosses need to die at a set time which is easily achieved with a 5 heal roster.
That being said, the encounter has been defeated with four healers. The benefits of doing so would be a shorter overall kill time for the encounter, as the additional DPS can increase the rate in which the adds and later bosses are defeated.

If you're a Dwarf or Dark Iron Dwarf tank, you can remove the the
Lacerating Claws
debuff with your racial abilities (

we found that after paku died both gonk & kimbul had 1 stack of loa buff each, so we went for kimbul 2nd & it was MUCH easier

Warlocks with their imp pet can dispel Mind Wipe from themselves, at least in LFR.
My pet bar stays visible and I use the version of Singe Magic on the pet bar after targeting myself. If I ran too far from my imp I use Flee first.
Did not get a chance to test purging an ally.

It's a bit of a challenge but you can solo this encounter as a hunter.
First, make sure you are holding aggro on one of the bosses, while your pet is standing far away and holding aggro on the other.
Your pet should first target Gonk's Aspect, so you can get the Hex spell out of the encounter quickly.
Kill Gonk's Aspect while your pet is tanking it, then have your pet aggro the next boss that spawns and kill that too. As long as you are not losing aggro of the one that's targeting you, you are fine as the bosses are not affected by the damage reduction.
Pop turtle just before killing the second boss, so you can immune the first Mind Wipe. After Akunda's Aspect spawns and Mind Wipe is cast, remove turtle, pop all CDs and burst down Akunda's Aspect before the next cast, then kill the final remaining boss.

In a post-Battle for Azeroth world, this fight is still difficult to solo but is soloable (see rottenx51's comment about soloing with a Hunter; a Warlock may also work). As an alternative, you can easily two-man it (with either a 2nd player or a 2nd account) as follows:
1) Create a team with any max-level damage class/spec (personally I used a Retribution Paladin) and a max-level healer with any ability that dispels magic (personally, I used a Restoration Druid, which has Nature's Cure to remove magic).
2) Enter Battle of Dazar'alor raid and fight your way to Conclave of the Chosen encounter. This fight begins with two bosses and will eventually spawn a 3rd then 4th boss.
3) Move your healer to eastern end of room. Move your damage class to western edge of room.
IMPORTANT
: for faster damage to bosses, always keep the two active bosses far apart from each other.
4) Use healer to aggro/attack Gonk. Use damage class to taunt/aggro Pa'ku and kill Pa'ku.
5) Continuing killing active bosses until Akunda spawns. Make sure to keep the two players far apart from each other, keep Akunda's aggro on the damage class, and keep the other boss' aggro on the healer class.
6)
IMPORTANT
: As soon as the healer class no longer has the Mind Wipe debuff, move the healer class close enough to the damage class to dispel Mind Wipe. This will enable the damage class to again use abilities. Use damage class to kill Akunda ASAP, preferably before Akunda casts Mind Wipe again. Rinse and repeat this step, if necessary.
7) If necessary, once Akunda dies, just kill additional boss.

You can solo this fight as a Brewmaster Monk on normal difficulty at least:
Take Black Ox Statue and use it to separate the bosses.
Bring a trinket with a burst damage active like Heatbound Medallion.
Kill Gonk's Aspect first so you stop getting polymorphed.
Get one of the remaining 2 bosses low.
Recast Black Ox Statue (so it's back to full health).
Stand near the statue and wait for it to pull a boss.
Kill Pa'ku's Aspect away from the statue (You can kill Kimbul instead if you want but Pa'ku will kill the statue much faster if you do that).
When Akunda's Aspect comes out, blast her with the damage trinket, you'll get Mind Wiped but that should put her low enough for Touch of Death.
As it starts to wear off, spam Touch of Death as hard as you can and hope it lands in the tiny time window before you get Mind Wiped again.
Kill the remaining boss.
Fortunately, you can also solo King Rastakhan on Normal with a monk too, so enjoy your G.M.O.D. run.
Edit: If you have good enough gear (i.e. 420-ish), you can have enough health to Touch of Death Akunda's Aspect even while she's at full health, which should make this even easier.

I've found a way to solo this as a Feral Druid, no pets, in Dragonflight Season 3-4. I've been able to do it reliably for a few weeks now, and the key is

. I've only done this strategy on Normal and haven't tried other difficulties.
Here's the play:
Pure single-target talents except maybe

, but most importantly
野性狂乱
and

. Also

on the class tree.
- I beat down the bosses until I'm about to spawn Akunda, put up my final bleeds on the boss that's about to die,

, and start spam clicking where Akunda will spawn.
- As soon as he's targetable, you have BARELY A FEW seconds to unload. I hit everything:
野性狂乱
, trinket (
烬魄之灰
for me), and Convoke.
- Once the silence hits me, I run away until FF falls off.
* I run because if one of the bosses stops to cast a spell, I can separate them and get full-damage ticks of FF. Even one tick is a
chunk
of a hit. This part is super important.
*
野性狂乱
has a 30-second cooldown with the Feral tier bonus, which is the same duration of the silence spell, so you'll always have FF available when the silence is re-casted.
- I continue walking backwards, facing the bosses, to kite the raptor hits and not turn my back on the boss hits.
- Once the silence is about to fall off, I stop walking and start SPAMMING the hell out of my
野性狂乱
macro. You have a split second between most casts to get it off.
- Once FF has gone off, I again RUN LIKE HELL until FF falls off Akunda.
- If there are way too many raptors on me, I'll use my split second to cast Primal Wrath instead. I don't know if this is worth it but it makes me feel better, lol.
I repeat until Akunda is dead.
Health proves to be an issue, but as Feral you have a bunch of off-GCD spells in your kit, so I use this macro when I'm low:
/cast tiger's fury
/cast
野性狂乱
/cast renewal
/cast nature's vigil
/use health potion (whatever one you use)
Well-Honed Instincts will also heal you if you hit 30% HP.
If I don't need healing, I'll use regular
野性狂乱
without the macro to preserve my Renewal.
It took me a few times to get it right, but I've solo'd this a bunch now!

I've been meaning to try a phial like
Phial of Glacial Fury
which may allow you to damage him if you have dots up. MIght help as it's very challenging to refresh dots in the microsecond between silences. It can also control the add numbers to let you survive longer. But... I don't have time to test. Leaving it as an idea.

General solo/2-man strategy for transmog runs:
1. Be a class with a persistent pet/totem/whatever that can take aggro away from you. That way, you have your pet/totem at one side of the room, and you stand on the other. I did this as a WW monk talented into Black Ox statue. Other classes that I've seen people use include Hunter, Warlock, DK (I think), possibly S Priest. If your class doesn't have an instakill ability like Touch of Death, talent into abilities that let you put a long lasting DOT or take a trinket that will. Alternatively, 2-man this fight, preferably with at least one character that's able to use an execute-type ability (Execute, Touch of Death, Kill Shot, the pally one, etc). Otherwise, have a character with a DOT.
2. Akunda is the most annoying one here, he starts inactive, and will eventually activate on the RIGHT side of the room. You'll want to separate the two currently active bosses to opposite sides of the room. You may wind up being polymorphed while initially separating the bosses, but at this point in the game, it's far less deadly than the mind wipe, so don't worry about it.
IF SOLOING:
Set up your pet/totem on the RIGHT side of the room, close to where Akuna will spawn. Get your pet/totem to aggro the active boss on the RIGHT. You take the other active boss on the LEFT, to the LEFT side of the room, near the other inactive boss.
IF 2-MAN:
Similar to the layout above, Execute or dot character takes RIGHT, and the other character takes LEFT.
*********The most important thing to note: If your Execute has a long cooldown, save it for Akunda!******
3. Kill LEFTY first. Then the inactive left boss will spawn.
The rest of the steps will change a bit depending on whether you're solo or 2-manning.
SOLO:
4. Kill LEFTY again. Akunda will spawn on top of your pet (as long as you've set things up properly), and your pet/totem will have two bosses on top of it.
5. You will be mind wiped, and it is unfortunately unavoidable. However, because his attention is focused on your pet, you have a much better chance of surviving. Run to the RIGHT side of the room, and wait for the mind wipe to expire.
6. Target Akunda and spam your Execute or your DOT, you have a split second to do something when the mind wipe expires. If you can, try to pull Akunda away.
7. If he's now dead, proceed to kill the other boss. Otherwise, repeat the process.
2-MAN
4. Kill RIGHTY
(please don't waste your execute if your ability has a long cooldown!)
. Akunda will now spawn. Person on the left side of the room can feel free to start killing their boss as soon as Akunda spawns.
5. Execute Akunda ASAP (see above), otherwise burn him, and don't forget your DOT (in case you can't burn him fast enough)
6. Whoever kills their boss first can go help the other, though it's most useful to kill Akunda first.

Whoever at blizzard decided a 30 second silence mechanic in a raid was a good idea. Should be swiftly fired and never work on another video game again.
