Upon choosing a Covenant to pledge to at max level, players will open up the Soulbinds system which allows them to Soulbind to one of three named NPCs. Soulbinding with one of these NPCs borrows a bit of their power, but rather than acting as your bodyguard, it unlocks a tree of progression similar to Legion artifacts, granting several small bonuses. These bonuses vary between combat, utility, and defensive abilities, as well as abilities that enhance Covenant Abilities.
The Soulbind tree also allows for customization through the use of Conduits, items that can be added to enhance Class or Spec abilities. Each Soulbind tree has 8 rows that can be unlocked by gaining Renown with your chosen Covenant.

Forgelite Prime Mikanikos is the third Soulbind that you will acquire if you choose to join the Kyrian Covenant. This Soulbind is unlocked when you complete the Kyrian Covenant Campaign. You will have already unlocked your first Soulbind through joining the Covenant, and your second Soulbind through questing.

Reduce the cooldown of your Kyrian class ability by 4 sec per affected enemy, to a maximum of 20 sec.

I chose this over Pelagos because: 1. the passive gold "earned" (less repair costs) through the durability thing is a general passive buff versus the Enchanting/Tailoring-specific buff of Pelagos'; 2. the automatic heal from Phial below 35% is so convenient and I don't monitor my CDs closely enough to benefit from the reduced Phial CD from Pelagos; 3. I'm not too worried about losing the damage mitigation from Let Go Of The Past and I don't like running through the blue orbs from Combat Meditation to get more benefit from that; albeit I'm not that impressed by Mikanikos' first and last tiers.
