Introduction
My goal here is to make it easier for others to also get their class hall mounts post-Legion.
When it was time to go grab my class hall mount for my hunter, I was very confused. I wasted hours and hours on quests I didn't need to do and dungeons I could have avoided. Looking around on Wowhead and elsewhere, there was a lot of outdated information.
The
Checklists
section is grouped into tabs so you can quickly go to the section you need. Each tab has lists in order of what you need to do.
Next there is a section on the
final mount quests
and the starter breadcrumb quests for each one.
You can also preview the
available mounts and appearances
.
For the quickest way to get your mount, visit the
Tips and Tricks section
.
My qualifications? I've completed the Class Mounts on every class except for Shaman, Warrior and Rogue. My goal is to get a mount for every class, so I'll be updating this guide as I find new tips and tricks.

At level 101, go back to Dalaran
Level 103 - More things unlocked: champions, troop type, and a new artifact tint for

At this point, things are different for various classes.
Important! You will need to be 110 to complete this section

Your goal will be to gain two more champions and do a series of missions from your mission table. And maybe do a dungeon, like Vault of the Wardens for Demon Hunters.
Once you get the quest for 10 world quests - you are so close! Follow this final quest line to finish your class order hall campaign.
If you seem to not be getting the next quest(s) while doing your (Class) Specific campaign (it shows up as <Class> Campaign in your quest log), try starting to leave your quest hall or leaving entirely or coming back. Sometimes that is a trigger for the next quest to be provided or for a mini event.
Finished campaign rewards are:
Class Hall chest
Class title (example: Slayer% YourName or Archmage% YourName)
Artifact appearance:
Forged for Battle
(it'a extra fancy!)
Complete your class order hall quests until you get your class chest piece, then you can move to the
Broken Shore
!
Broken Shore Checklist
Complete the Legionfall campaign for your class
Unlock the Broken Shore via Assault on Broken Shore
Complete all the steps of
Breaching the Tomb
for each class
I have the quests for
Breaching the Tomb
listed in order below.
Assault on Broken Shore
Aalgen Point
Defending Broken Isles
Shard Times
- The best sources of
nether shards
are the Sentinax and Wyrmtongue caches. Also Legion assaults are a good source if they are active.
Armies of Legionfall
Begin Construction
Vengeance Point
Champions of Legionfall
Mark of the Sentinax
Go kill a few creatures from a Sentinax portal for a "Broken Sentinax beacon" drop.
Self-Fulfilling Prophecy
Intolerable Infestation
Slay 50 Demons in Faronaar or Felsoul Hold.
Relieved of Their Valuables
- Talk to Khadgar for this quest
Take Out the Head...
- Slay 3 Rare Elites (any green skull icon elite on the map)
Championing Our Cause
- complete a Legionfall mission on your mission table
Strike Them Down
- Slay 100 demons on the Broken Shore.
Tips
Speed up progress: Don't do a Legion Assault on a day you plan to do these quests
before
you get the
Defending Broken Isles
quest. Legion assaults happen at odd hours sometimes.
Here is a timer for when the assaults are planned to happen
.
Some quests such as
Mark of the Sentinax
drop when you do an activity (such as participate in a Sentinax portal assault)
If you are missing a quest for the series such as Mark of the Sentinax, check your bags for a quest item. You may not have gotten the drop that triggers the quest yet. If that doesn't fix it, /reload ui or take a moment then check the quest givers again.
You will have to visit
Khadgar,
Commander Chambers
, and
Maiev Shadowsong
a lot. You'll be besties at the end of this. If one of them does not have a quest in the chain, another one probably does.
Final Mount Quest Chains
Broken Shore quests are done! Hooray! Don't leave yet! Grab the start of your mount quest chain after you turn in
Strike Them Down
. This quest on the Broken Shore will lead you back to your class hall! Here is a list of them all including the starting NPC.

Tips and Tricks
Use the
Wowhead Planner tool
for your character to track your progress
Get ready to frequently travel between your class hall and other locations.
Here is a guide
with directions to every class hall.
Focus on your
Class Hall Campaign first
- you don't need to do the raid quest lines or help Kalegos, (no matter how dreamy he is)
You only need to complete the quests and missions in this guide once for each class you want a mount for. Meaning, If all you want is your Paladin Class Hall Mount, doing it once unlocks it for all your Paladins. You need to do all this again to unlock it for your Mage, etc.
Use the timer feature on your game clock to keep track of mission table missions
Level your champions as you progress (take one with you as a buddy!)
Bring a friend and share the pain i mean fun! At 110 and above, many of the dungeons can be solo'd, but some (*cough* Vault of the Wardens *cough*) are a struggle even at 115.

03/29/2020 - Update
- Get to 100, get into Dalaran, unlock 1st artifact and open your Class Hall. Naturally you'll be directed to one of the starting zones in Broken Isles.
- Go there and level to 101 (or level inside dungeons, just hit 101)
- Get back to your order hall and get the remaining 2 artifacts (you'll want the skins) and just do all Order Hall quests. When you can't proceed with Order Halls/Artifact quests (they provide tints and the mount you want), keep leveling to 110.
- Do the rest of the Guide.

Does anyone have a guide to using the planner in such a way to track progress for this? I'm having a bit of trouble.

No mention that you have to have high leveled follower npcs for your class hall mission table? Yeah because for a mage, you need to do several 12 hour missions on the missionboard. These require high leveled followers.
For example, during this double xp corona event, i've lvld every class to cap, in order to get all the class hall mounts + the achievement. I figured it was just a long quest chain and then you'd be done, but no.... Considering the fact that you need to level mission tables, I'd say it's a couple of weeks per class.

This is a great guide.
Having come back to WOW after a several year hiatus, I joined Legion a few months before BfA dropped. So I didn't bother doing a bunch of stuff. The class mount was one of the things I didn't bother with.
Now, with BfA almost over I'm circling back to get class mounts on my alts. A couple of points: 1) Don't do any Order Hall missions in Broken Shore until you have to. If you haven't leveled your champions, you'll fail at a lot of them, so wait until the quest Championing Our Cause on the Breaching the Tomb achievement to do them and then level your champions with the other missions...seriously; 2) At minimum, you only have to do one Legion Invasion for Defending Broken Isles, but they're a great source of Nethershards, which you need for Shard Times and the excess can be used to buy stuff to upgrade your champions from the vendor on Broken Isles. The best strategy is to run missions while you are doing the class hall campaign and Breaching the Tomb; and 3) Track the achievement, Breaching the Tomb, on the toon you're working with. It may show as a completed achievement because you did it on your main, but if you track it on the toon you're working with, it'll show you what you need to do.
Have fun getting your class mount.

Why are ALL of these guides assuming all mages are alliance? I'm horde, and the quest always linked to for the class mount, are alliance only.

As of the SL prepatch, the area near the Illidari Perch with the spiders has been nerfed. They're now beast type mobs and not demons. Danggit...

Didn't need to do all of the quests above as of 9.1.5. I just completed my class hall campaign, went to Broken Shore to pick up the follower quest, did that then came back to hand in, picked up a couple of the next bits before realising the actual mount starter quest was already on the map and I didn't need to do any of the rest of it. I'm not sure if the follower chain is necessary as I wasn't actively looking for the quest because I wasn't expecting it to be there.
TL:DR - Heads up, ya don't need to do the majority of the check list now :D

After completing 10 class hall campaigns and obtaining all mounts from them in the last two weeks here is a short writeup to help people out and sum up what I found out from various sources. It is focused on getting the mounts from all available classes with your alt characters.
This guide is written after the 9.1.5 changes were implemented and requires you to have done the Legion Intro, class order hall and Broken Shore campaign on your main character.
1. Start your class order hall campaign by going to Legion Dalaran. You have to use the regular intro quest to get there (obtained from quest boards in OG/SW), you can not be ported or fly there or else the NPC won't show up. You can however
skip the intro
.
2. Accept and complete the quest "Uniting the Isles" from Khadgar in Dalaran in order to have WQs available (required later on).
3. Complete your class order hall campaign. This includes
at least
:
- obtaining one artifact weapon
- completing the entirety of your class hall main quest line
- obtain every single mission table follower (achievement "Roster of Champions" will be rewarded once you get all followers)
4. Do the quest "A Hero's Weapon" after completing your class order hall campaign.
5. You will still have to complete the following quests in order to see your class mount quests even after the 9.1.5 changes.
Start out the Broken Shore Intro:
- quest "Armies of Legionfall" from Khadgar in Dalaran
- quest "Assault on Broken Shore" from Khadgar in Dalaran. This can and
should be skipped
6. Accept and complete the following quests on the Broken Shore:
- The Broken Shore: Investigating the Legion
- Legionfall Supplies
- Champions of Legionfall (can
not
be completed while doing step 6. Read step 7.)
7. Go back to your class hall after completing the first two quests of step 6. to find another class hall quest line. This will unlock your Legionfall champion and therefore complete "Champions of Legionfall".
8. Go back to the Broken Shore, accept and complete the quest "Defending Broken Isles".
9. Your mount quest line should be available to you on the Broken Shore in the main hub. Complete it and earn your mount(s)!
10. Some extra tips:
-you will have to do a lot of dungeons for your class hall campaigns, these can be done on normal difficulty to speed up the process
-you will have to do 10 WQs for your class hall campaigns, I found the "kill one mob" (including world bosses) quests to be the fastest even though you have to fly around quite a bit. Usually there is plenty of those quests available at all times.
-try to combine doing dungeons with doing WQs
-you will have to turn in some materials for some class hall campaigns. There is a method of converting "Order Resources" to "Blood of Sargeras" and vice versa. "Blood of Sargeras" can be turned in for all of the required materials at the Blood Trader in Dalaran (
伊尔妮雅·血棘
). Use this method if materials are super expensive on the auction house on your server. There are guides out there for this so I will not go into detail here.
-legion assault timers can be found on the wowhead frontpage (
https://www.wowhead.com/
) under "Today in WoW" -> "Legion" -> "Legion Assault". I recommend doing these at "civil" times since they still require two extra people to queue up and trust me, this
does not
happen at demon hours.
-sometimes you will have to do a multitude of table missions to complete a quest. Try to do multiple quests simultaneously by only picking as many followers as necessary to get to 100% success rate and send the others on another mission. Not all quests allow you to do multiple missions at once but some do.

from my experience,
finish class hall including the third artifact slot on weapon, and the raid run. at least on my druid, at max level, I skipped all the trash and single-shot bosses.
start Armies of Legionfall quest chain "assault on broken short"
once hub opened, chat with velen and take quest "champions of legionfall"
back at class hall complete new champion quest chain
back at legionfall base, turn in champions of legionfall quest
new mount quest giver should appear.

I'm getting this done just before Dragonflight drops because I just leveled a Hunter for the 1st time ever (I know, I was just never interested in playing one until recently). In order to acquire Feathermane pets, I have to do the Legion achieve,
Breaching the Tomb
. I decided to get the class mounts done for all the rest of my characters at the same time because I stopped playing legion right before class mounts dropped. Here's what I've noticed......
I only finished Breaching the Tomb on my main character for account wide flying. I finished the class campaign on my main and 1 alt. The alt didn't have any of the Breach of the Tomb achieve done. Once I was able to pick up
Champions of Legionfall
and complete it, I was able to pick up my class mount quest without having to finish the rest of the Breach achieve.
It seems like only the class hall campaign and part of the Breaching the Tomb achieve is needed to get your class mount. If you are leveling through Legion, I would start you class campaign as you level cause there's a lot of starting table quests in your class hall that make you wait 1+ hours per quest. Then wait on starting Breaching the Tomb until you're max level so you can breeze through the content in less than a day.
HTH, happy playtime.
