Stone Legion Generals
encounter on Mythic Difficulty in Castle Nathria. This guide assumes you’re familiar with the Heroic version of the encounter, and focuses mainly on Mythic changes to strategy.

Mythic Stone Legion Generals Changes
While both bosses have the same mechanics in all difficulty levels, on Mythic most changes come from the additional adds that spawn throughout the phases.
General Kaal
will cast
召唤暗影军队
every 50 seconds while in the First, Second, and Third phase of the encounter. This cast will spawn 3
Stone Legion Skirmishers
who teleport behind random players dealing Physical damage, applying a stacks of

. When they reach 30% health, they turn into

, creating a wind that will push players toward the edge of the platform.
Stone Legion Goliaths
are also more powerful on Mythic, as they will accumulate stacks of
贪噬
, which increases the damage they do, and they will periodically cast

at a random player, dealing Physical damage, and stunning them for 4 seconds.
Last, during each intermission phase,
Stone Legion Commandos
will spawn periodically. Each

will cast a

at 20% health, requiring the raid to deal a large amount of damage to them over 4 seconds to prevent it from detonating.
In the intermission phases, defeated
Stone Legion Commandos
and
Stone Legion Goliaths
will drop Volatile

s and Massive

s, which are used to fill Price Renathal’s energy to trigger the new phase.
Mythic Stone Legion Generals Phase 1
Phase 1 positioning, where the arrows indicate the direction of Wicked Blast.
During Phase 1, your raid will need to deal with
General Kaal
, who will summon a
顽石军团巨怪
and three
Stone Legion Skirmishers
shortly after starting the encounter.
Your entire raid should be stacked on one side of the boss to ensure
Stone Legion Skirmishers
don’t leap away from the boss.
Establish an order for killing
Stone Legion Skirmishers
. If multiples get pushed below 30% at the same time, the winds will become more powerful and push players off the platform.
Players with stacks of
邪恶撕裂
should clear their stacks by standing in
晶化
each time it is cast on a raid member. Otherwise, players should only stand in the
粉碎流星
portion to split the raid damage.
Stone Legion Goliaths
should be prioritized over the boss. Kill them quickly once they reaches 30% health to avoid the stacks of Soultaint ramping too high.
Depending on your raid's damage, aim to push to the first intermission either before the third wave of
Stone Legion Skirmishers
spawns, or after finishing off the third wave.
Mythic Stone Legion Generals Intermission 1
The whole raid should play on the edge of the platform to avoid the knockback from dunking
心能宝珠
s throughout the intermission.
The intermission will start with a
顽石军团巨怪
spawning, which can be damaged to about 40% while avoiding any damage on the
Stone Legion Commandos
.
Once there are at least 5
Stone Legion Commandos
, everything can be grouped together and killed very quickly using DPS cooldowns.
Each Volatile
心能宝珠
will fill
雷纳索尔王子
’s energy by 10%, while each Massive
心能宝珠
will fill it by 30%. This means in each intermission you will need to kill one
顽石军团巨怪
, and sever
Stone Legion Commandos
to complete the intermission.
When an
心能宝珠
is “dunked”, all players within 45 yards or
雷纳索尔王子
will be knocked away. For this reason, each intermission phase is done while playing along the edge of the platform.
To ensure that
心能宝珠
s are dunked quickly, use a Warlock Demonic Gateway from the edge of the platform to the circle marked around
雷纳索尔王子
.
Before the last
心能宝珠
is dunked, the whole raid should move to the edge of the platform, then move into the cubby area at the entrance gate to be knocked into that corner when the new phase starts.
There should be at least 5 seconds before the next
晶化
or
凶残之刃
is cast before pushing to a new phase. Otherwise, these mechanics will trigger while the whole raid is being knocked into the corner, causing an instant wipe.

Mythic Stone Legion Generals Phase 2
During Phase 2, the raid will be dealing with

, whose most impactful mechanic is

and Echoing Annihilation.
On Mythic, it is crucial to have a set method for the location of each
震荡爆发
, and have specific ranged DPS or healers assigned to soaking each one. At most, there will be 9
震荡爆发
s up at the same time. This means that you will have to assign at least 9 ranged players to soak them. When the 10th
震荡爆发
spawn, the first one will disappear, and the whole drop cycle can be started again.
Since there are only 8 available world markers, one of the
震荡爆发
will need to be dropped in an assigned but unmarked location. We opted for the exact middle of the half circle, as seen in the diagram.

Another deadly mechanic of this phase is

, which will require your entire raid to stack very close together, then move as a unit after the debuffs are applied. We briefly outlined how our raid prefers to deal with this mechanic. Melee DPS tend to make a small arc or line along the boss to stay fairly close to melee range, while ranged DPS or healers make a wider arc around the room.
Movement during this debuff can be handled in two ways. Your raid can either make short incremental movements after each tick of the debuff that leaves a puddle behind, or they can all run at full speed. Both methods can be successful, but the entire raid needs to do it the same way.
Players who don’t have the debuff typically either move directly to their left, or move with the unit for a few steps before “peeling out” of the group since they are not spawning ground effects.

We recommend pushing the boss to the second intermission after the third set of
Stone Legion Skirmishers
are killed.
Mythic Stone Legion Generals Intermission 2
This intermission is much more hectic than the first once, because your players will need to keep dealing with

.
Since timings carry over from Phase 2, we recommend DPSing the
顽石军团巨怪
without damaging the
Stone Legion Commandos
until there are at least 5 of them alive. At that point, your raid should wait for a cast of

, after which DPS can quickly use cooldowns to kill the
顽石军团巨怪
and
Stone Legion Commandos
leaving some time to dunk all the
心能宝珠
s that have been picked up.
Avoid dunking
心能宝珠
s during
震荡爆发
since it might knock players who are soaking off the platform.
After killing the set of AoE
Stone Legion Commandos
and the single
顽石军团巨怪
, the raid should continue killing
Stone Legion Commandos
one by one until there is only one
心能宝珠
needed to cause the Phase change.
When there is only one
心能宝珠
left to dunk, make sure your raid waits for a set of
震荡爆发
that is not followed by
晶化
.This will give your raid enough time to position in the opposite side cubby for the phase transition.

Mythic Stone Legion Generals Phase 3
Phase 3 should be handled exactly the same way as Phase 1 in terms of where the raid is positioned and where
凶残之刃
s are taken to avoid hitting the raid.
In this phase, there are no
Stone Legion Goliaths
; however,
Stone Legion Skirmishers
will continue spawning.
We recommend killing the first set of
Stone Legion Skirmishers
but ignoring the second set to prioritize boss damage.
Avoid pushing
Stone Legion Skirmishers
to 30 while

s happen, because they might prevent your players from soaking their assigned spots.

should be handled in the same manner as Phase 2: the raid makes an arc around the room after being tightly stacked near the boss as a starting point.
Mythic Stone Legion Generals Tips and Tricks
Interacting with the Demonic Gateway quickly is crucial for dunking the
心能宝珠
s quickly. We recommend setting the Demonic Gateway to focus, using a mouseover focus macro, then interacting with the focus frame with a special keybind. This will allow you to take the gateway even if there is someone else standing on it.
Since players only have 15 seconds to dunk the
心能宝珠
after picking it up, use a WeakAura to call players to dunk in order of time remaining on their debuff. It also helps to stagger the pick up of
心能宝珠
s instead of picking them up all at once, which will also stagger the duration of the debuff on your players.
Immunities and magic-mitigating spells such as Cloak of Shadows can be used to prevent the
溢血之心
debuff from being applied to the player when
裂心击
is either dispelled or times out naturally.
Certain
晶化
sets, such as the one during Intermission 1 or Intermission 2, can be immuned, then the player simply walks out of the circle to avoid having your raid needing to move while dealing with
Stone Legion Commandos
. A Priest can also grip the stunned player out of the circle if needed.
During each set of
Stone Legion Skirmishers
, assign raidwide movement speed cooldowns such as Stampeding Roar, or Wind Rush Totem to help mitigate the push of the
狂风雕像
effect.
Players targeted by
贪婪盛宴
can be saved by using Blessing of Protection to break the damage, or by a Warrior casting Intervene and using a defensive to mitigate the damage.
DPS
Always line up cooldowns during intermissions with either
Stone Legion Skirmisher
spawns or
Stone Legion Commandos
.
Mark
Stone Legion Skirmishers
consistently by the same three markers and damaged in a set order. For example, our guild marked the
Stone Legion Skirmisher
by the entrance Skull, the one by the statue X, and the one by the far gate with Square. Our priority for killing them was always Skull > X > Square to avoid having overlapping winds.
In Phase 3, use Bloodlust following the first
震荡爆发
of the phase, which will give your raid the maximum amount of time to DPS without having to deal with mechanics.
Healer
邪恶撕裂
will be the biggest contributor to the passive background damage your raid takes. However, there are several single-target debuffs that will cause significant damage to specific players.

can be dealt with in several ways, such as using Mass Dispel while the whole raid is standing in a Spirit-Link Totem. This will prevent the players from dying to the

debuff.

can also be ignored until they time out, then keeping an eye on each player with
溢血之心
.

is the largest burst damage that your raid takes in the first and early stages of the second phase. We recommend rotating DPS raid cooldowns such as Anti-Magic Zone, and Commanding Shout for each one that the raid is soaking.
When the Soultaint debuff reaches 4 or 5 stacks, it is best to use Damage Reduction cooldowns such as Devotion Aura, or Spirit-Link Totem to keep the raid safe if it is overlapped with other mechanics.
Towards the end of Phase 2, healing cooldowns should be shifted to be used on
震荡爆发
, since it will start dealing a much larger amount of damage to your raid than the
粉碎流星
does.
Tank
During the first Phase and first Intermission, each of your tanks will have a specific role. One tank will be tanking
General Kaal
, while the other will be tanking
Stone Legion Goliaths
and
Stone Legion Skirmishers
.
The
General Kaal
tank should clear their
锯齿撕裂
debuff during each
晶化
set.
During Intermission 1, the
General Kaal
tank should pick up
Stone Legion Commandos
until it’s time to AoE them down. This is done to avoid damaging them by mistake which causes certain ones to shield before others.
The
顽石军团巨怪
tank can taunt the boss and keep it away from the
Stone Legion Commandos
when the raid is killing them, avoiding target caps causing issues.
Starting Phase 2, one of the tanks should take one stack of
石拳
after which tanks can swap every two stacks.
During the second intermission, the roles are similar to the first: the boss tank picks up
Stone Legion Commandos
and the other tank picks up the
顽石军团巨怪
.
The last phase is fairly simple for tanks. Each tank should just take one of the bosses and taunt swap after two stacks of their respective debuffs.
