泽克沃兹
is a three phase encounter which challenges the groups ability to deal with several different adds whilst dodging dangerous area of effect abilities.
泽克沃兹
is the third, fourth, or fifth boss in Uldir, the first raid in Battle for Azeroth; available on September 11th on Mythic difficulty. After defeating
维克提斯
,
腐臭吞噬者
, and
泽克沃兹
, players can progress towards the
祖尔
encounter.

Mythic Difficulty
Zek'voz has received a major phase structure change on mythic difficulty and several of the existing mechanics have been modified in ways to make them more difficult to deal with. There is no major new ability that has been added to the encounter, instead the difficulty lies with the heroic mechanics which occur frequently and, at times, simultaneously.
Heroic Phase One and Phase Two abilities occur at the same time, from 100% to 40%.
You will have to deal with the
眼棱
and
异种虫战士
s from phase one, and the
翻腾欺诈
and
蛛魔虚空编织者
s from phase two.
Phase One: 100% - 40%
异种虫战士
s and
蛛魔虚空编织者
s
The
异种虫战士
s and
蛛魔虚空编织者
s will spawn simultaneously in the same locations as they do on heroic.
This happens 1 minute into the encounter and then every 2 minutes from that point onwards, until phase 2 is triggered at 40%, at which point no new adds will spawn.
The raid should focus on killing off the
异种虫战士
adds as soon as possible, using displacement spells and crowd control to keep them close together.
In order to kill the adds quickly, you may need to have DPS hold damage cooldowns or change talents to more AoE focused builds.
Adds will spawn every two minutes, starting at one minute.
The
蛛魔虚空编织者
s gain the
虚空召唤
passive over time.
This is a stacking 5% damage increase that the add gains every 6 seconds. Upon reaching 10 stacks, the add goes into a
虚空超脱
which makes it immune to all crowd control effects.
The raid needs to ensure that all adds are dealt with within the 60 second time period, as otherwise they may become overwhelmed when the
蛛魔虚空编织者
s break free of any crowd control spells.
We recommend hard crowd controlling two of the
蛛魔虚空编织者
s as soon as they spawn, whilst the raid focuses on killing the remaining
蛛魔虚空编织者
. After that is done, the boss should be moved to the next and and the raid should finish them one by one.
The Void Bolt the
蛛魔虚空编织者
cast deals significantly more damage and must be interrupted/crowd controlled at all times, especially when the add has high stacks of
虚空召唤
.
The
眼棱
will now mark a player 1 second before the damage comes in, down from 3.5 seconds.
This forces players to be spread before the beams occur, as the 1 second cast leaves little time for players to react.
This ability will overlap with the
翻腾黑暗
. The group must spread in the available space to ensure they do not allow the
眼棱
to bounce.
Surging Darkness
Aside from dealing more damage, the
翻腾欺诈
has not changed mechanically on Mythic difficulty.
Instead the raid will have to deal with more of them than they did on heroic, as the debuffs will be applied from the beginning of the encounter, rather than from 60% boss hp.
翻腾黑暗
now consists of four explosions in a sequence, up from three. These explosions always follow a pattern.
Explosion 1: Small Ring
Explosion 2: Large Ring or Center Area (chosen randomly)
Explosion 3: Small Ring
Explosion 4: Large Ring or Center Area (chosen randomly)
There are four explosions per
翻腾黑暗
, up from three!
The second explosion location does not influence the fourth explosion location. As an example, you could have a sequence of explosions where the second and fourth explosions are both the centre area, noth the large ring, or a mixture of the two. The raid needs to be quick to identify where the safe locations are and move to them as soon as possible.
Surging Darkness Combinations and Notes
The
翻腾欺诈
ability causes the most difficult overlaps in the encounter. We have listed these overlaps below, detailing what they consist of and a few tips on how to best deal with them.
Surging Darkness #1
翻腾欺诈
debuffs will be placed on players throughout, with the first set of debuffs expiring during the last explosion.
These players should move to the as far away from the raid to drop their debuffs as they can, whilst staying within the safe space.
Roughly 5 seconds after the
翻腾黑暗
has finished, the
眼棱
ability will begin, so the raid must spread out quickly.
Surging Darkness #2
翻腾欺诈
debuffs will be placed on the raid before the explosions begin, with the last debuff expiring just as the
翻腾黑暗
starts.
The player must make sure they can return to the safe space from wherever they dropped off their debuff.
眼棱
will begin immediately as the zones appear, and will last until just after the 1st explosion has ended.
The entire raid should spread around the boss in a semi-circle, to ensure they remain within the safe Small Ring area whilst preventing the
眼棱
from jumping.
It is likely that the raid will be killing the 3rd Voidweaver as the ability starts.
Ranged players must be ready to interrupt the add during this time, as melee players could potentially be out of range.
A tank combo will occur right at the end of this
翻腾黑暗
, so players must make sure they give tanks space to deal with the ability safely.
Surging Darkness #3
A new set of adds will spawn in 15 seconds before the third
翻腾黑暗
and will likely still be alive during it.
The raid must attempt to kill them as soon as possible, preferably before the 2nd explosion, as the safe space may be in the Centre Area where the Silithid Warriors are.
The raid should consider using knockbacks and other displacement spells to keep the Silithid Warriors at bay throughout this
翻腾黑暗
.
Surging Darkness #4
翻腾欺诈
debuffs will be placed on the raid as the explosions begin in such a way that will cause the Ominous Clouds to spawn during the last two explosions.
Just as before, players need to attempt to place their debuffs as far away from the raid as possible during the last to explosions.
A tank combo will begin shortly after the first safe zone has appeared, so the tanks need to deal with the combo during the
翻腾黑暗
.
The raid should avoid standing in front of the boss at all times during the explosion, as the tanks need to do their best to get into the safe zones whilst facing the boss away from the raid.
The boss should transition into the last phase shortly after this fourth
翻腾黑暗
.
Phase 2: 40% - 0%
The last phase begins from 40%. The boss will immediately reset his energy to 0% and will gain a entirely new spell queue, meaning he will always cast abilities in the same order and they will always occur at the same times throughout the phase.
During this phase, you will still have to deal with the
眼棱
and the
翻腾欺诈
spells, however no new adds will spawn.
This causes issues when assigning certain players to deal with the
腐蚀之球
, as an assigned player may not be able to reach the orb if they are out dealing with other mechanics.
We recommend that you loosely assign the weakest last phase dps/healers to soak the orb first (those with low mana or poor execute/single target damage) with the better last phase players taking the orb last.
It is best to use Bloodlust and damage potions when the majority of DPS cooldowns align towards the beginning of the phase, as most players are alive to benefit from it.
Surging Darkness #5
There should only be one
翻腾黑暗
during the last phase. This
翻腾黑暗
is very difficult to deal with, as the raid will need to catch the
腐蚀之球
and spread for the
眼棱
.
We recommend that you assign a player with a mobile immunity, such as a Hunter or Paladin, to catch the orb during this time, as they will always be able to catch it regardless of whether is it going to fall within a safe zone or not.
We also recommend that players with any leftover defensive cooldowns use them during this period, as it somewhat likely that an
眼棱
may jump to one other target, especially if the
眼棱
occurs when the safe zone is in the Center Area of the
翻腾黑暗
.
