This guide provides tips and strategies for defeating the Ra-den the Despoiled encounter on Normal Difficulty in Ny'alotha, the Waking City. Changes to the fight for the other difficulties are listed below in their respective sections, including tips and strategies for dealing with the new mechanics introduced in these difficulties.
Ra-den the Despoiled is a two phase encounter which shares many mechanics and abilities to his previous incantation found in the Throne of Thunder. During phase one the boss will alternate between being

, forcing the raid to counter different sets of mechanics based on the empowerment he has. Phase two is a race to the finish, as the raid needs to kill the boss before his outgoing damage becomes too strong for the healers to counter!
Mythic Ra-den Guide
Ra-den is a boss that is unlocked after defeating

Ra-den Quick Tips
Phase One
Tanks should taunt off of one another after each

The raid needs to kill an essence orb each time they spawn, alternating between killing the

Phase Two
Stack near the boss to allow healers to efficiently out-heal the

damage.
Tanks should be 50% or lower when hit with

to reduce the damage dealt by

Dodge the

zones before returning back to the boss.
Move away from your chained partner when afflicted with

Kill the boss before he gains too many

stacks!
Ra-den Phase One - General Abilities
虚化重击
Ra-den gains energy over time. Upon reaching 100% energy after 20 seconds, he hits the current tank with
虚化重击
.
This deals a large burst of shadow damage to the tank and applies a 25 second long debuff which reduces the tanks maximum health by 20%.
Tanks need to taunt off of each other to prevent this debuff from stacking multiple times, usually after each cast.

Shortly after the encounter begins, and every minute after that point, the boss will open two portals in the back left and back right of the room.
An

will travel towards the boss from the portal on the left, and an
虚空精华
will do the same from the right.
When the orb reaches the boss, it will grant him either
虚空强化
or
生命强化
. These give him several abilities for 40 seconds.
The raid needs to kill one orb. Doing so makes the other orb immune to damage which guarantees that it will reach the boss.
The essence orbs always spawn from the same locations.
When an orb is destroyed, the boss gains either Unclaimed Void or Unclaimed Vita for 1.3 minutes.
If the boss ever gains 2 stacks of either of these debuffs he will gain
怒不可挡
, increasing his damage done by 300% which quickly leads to a wipe.
To prevent this enrage from triggering, the raid is forced to alternate between killing the two orbs.
The choice of which orb should be killed first is up to you, but we recommend that Vita is killed first as it grants the boss a more difficult ability set.
The orb that is killed first is going to trigger its empowerment the same amount of times, or one less time than the orb that is let through at the beginning.
DPS should switch to the essence orb the raid has decided to kill as to ensure that the boss does not absorb two essences at the same time.
If the boss does gain two essences at the same time it isn't an immediate wipe, but it will make the fight a lot tougher as the group has to deal with two sets of abilities rather than one.
Alternate between killing the two different essence orbs!
Ra-den Phase One -

After absorbing an
虚空精华
, Ra-den becomes empowered with void energy for 40 seconds.

Immediately upon absorbing the essence, Ra-den casts

This places a large healing absorption shield on the entire raid. Whilst the shield holds, the raid takes low magic damage every 3 seconds.
The raid should be stacked up next to the boss and healers should quickly remove this shield by out-healing it.
Healing should be prioritised on players who have low health and the tanks.
Unstable Void
Upon becoming
虚空强化
, Ra-den will launch out an Unstable Void missile.
This missile will mark a nearby location and slowly fall towards it.
Upon landing it triggers an Unstable Void Burst, dealing raid wide damage and silencing the raid for 8 seconds.
If a player stands in the location the missile lands, it instead will bounce back into the air and mark a new location.
The player who soaked the missile takes a moderate burst of shadow damage and gains the
动荡暴露
debuff, increasing the damage taken from both Unstable Void and
不稳定的生命
by 300% for 30 seconds.
A single player should soak the Unstable Void zone.
A unique single player should soak each Unstable Void missile landing location. The missile will bounce up to 5 times before despawning.
A player with
动荡暴露
should not soak the Unstable Void, as they will be one shot without an immunity.
Multiple players should not soak the missile, as no benefit is gained and more people will take damage and gain the
动荡暴露
debuff.
When soaking, the player should face their character towards the location they want the next missile to land because, generally speaking, the next landing location is approximately 15-20 yards directly in front of the soaking player.
As the Unstable Void landing locations are generally away from the boss, ranged players should soak the missile rather than melee players.
The amount of times the missile will bounce seems to scale with raid size, with lower raid sizes having less than 5 missiles to catch.
Call
虚空猎手
Around 5 seconds after becoming
虚空强化
, a
虚空猎手
add will spawn from the portal the Void Essence orb came from.
This add needs to be picked up by the off-tank and should be positioned next to the boss as to allow DPS to focus it down whilst cleaving damage onto the boss.
This add will frequently cast
虚空塌缩
, marking a random non-tank player who is stood within the largest clump of players.
After the 3.5 second long cast, the player will take a lethal burst of shadow damage which is split between all other players within 8 yards.
All players hit by this are also afflicted with
虚空污秽
for 14 seconds, reducing all healing taken by 50%.
All nearby players should help split the damage of the
虚空塌缩
, aside from tanks as they don't really want to gain the
虚空污秽
debuff.
As the
虚空塌缩
is cast often enough for the
虚空污秽
to stack, raids who cannot kill the add within two casts should have different people soak the
虚空塌缩
each time, as this will prevent the
虚空污秽
from ever reaching 2 stacks.
All non-tank players should help soak the
虚空塌缩
.
Ra-den Phase One -

After absorbing an

, Ra-den becomes empowered with vita energy for 40 seconds.

This deals a moderate burst of nature damage to all players.
Healers simply need to make sure that all players are healthy before this occurs.
The raid should be stacked directly behind the boss when this happens as to help healers more easily keep everyone healthy.

Just as the boss becomes

, he will apply
不稳定的生命
to a random non-tank player.
This player will be knocked back if they are within melee range of the boss and have a 7 second long debuff with up to 5 stacks.
Upon expiration, the debuff will jump to the furthest player, dealing a burst of nature damage to all targets along the path.
Each player hit will also gain
动荡暴露
, increasing the damage they take from this mechanic by 300% for 30 seconds.
Once the
不稳定的生命
has reached its new player, it will have one fewer stack. This debuff will continue to jump until it reaches 0 stacks.
The raid needs to position themselves in such a way that the
不稳定的生命
only hits a single person per jump, as otherwise people might start getting one shot as they'll take damage whilst they have
动荡暴露
.
This is best done by doing the following.
The raid should stack tightly behind the boss.
Two world markers should be placed 15 yards behind the raid and 40+ yards apart from each other, with one on the left and one on the right.
The initial target of
不稳定的生命
stands on one marker, whilst another ranged player stands on the other.
As the player on the other marker is furthest from the
不稳定的生命
player, it will jump to them whilst not hitting anyone else in the raid.
After each jump, the player who just lost the
不稳定的生命
should return to the raid and a new player without
动荡暴露
should take their place on the world marker they just left.
Once this has process has been repeated up to 5 times, the debuff will disappear and the mechanic is over.
The amount of stacks the debuff initially spawns with seems to scale with raid size, with lower raid sizes having less than 5 stacks.
Make sure that the two players dealing with the
不稳定的生命
are furthest from one another.
The raid leader should assign players in an order to go and participate in this process.
They can either assign players to an individual marker and an order in which to soak on that marker, or they can just assign an order for players to soak, regardless of markers.
Ranged players should be the only players taking part in this process, as they will still be able to produce output effectively whilst far from the boss.
If the raid leader doesn't want to pre-assign players to do this job, they can instead call players as they go.
A simplified example of how to deal with the
不稳定的生命
.
Call Cracking Stalker
5 seconds after the Vita Essence is absorbed, a Cracking Stalker will appear from the Vita portal.
This add needs to be tanked and should be dragged next to the boss and nuked down as soon as possible.
The add will occasionally cast
闪电链
, dealing a moderate burst of damage to a random player before jumping to up to 5 other nearby players. Each jump deals the same amount of damage.
The damage from this ability is not enough to force the raid to spread out. Stay stacked and simply out heal the damage dealt by this ability.
Ra-den Phase Two
Ra-den will enter phase two upon reaching 40% health.
Any active empowerment mechanics will continue to play out. The raid should focus on dealing with these cleanly as soon as possible as to focus on the new abilities the boss gains.
The raid can transition the boss into phase two just as he spawns a set of essence orbs, as these will despawn as soon as the boss reaches 40% health.

Every 30 seconds, Ra-den will gain cast

which grants him a stack of

is a 10% damage increase that is permanent and will stack each time

is cast.
This mechanic acts as the pseudo-enrage for this encounter, as you'll want to kill the boss before he gains too many stacks.
Bloodlust, damage potions and DPS cooldowns should be used in this phase as to get through it as soon as possible.

The bosses

has been replaced with
腐烂打击
.
This strike deals a burst of physical damage and applies
腐坏伤口
.
This 10 second debuff deals shadow damage equal to 50% of the players health at the time of application every 2 seconds for 10 seconds.
This encourages the tank to get hit by
腐烂打击
when they are low on health, as this will reduce the damage they take from the dot applied.
Healers want to make sure they leave the tank around 50% health for the hit before spam healing them back to full as soon as the debuff is applied.
毁灭
Throughout the phase the boss deals moderate plague damage to the raid every 2 seconds.
This damage will increase with time as the boss gains Lingering Energy stacks.
The entire raid should stack behind the boss as often as possible as to help healers efficiently heal up this damage.
虚空爆发
Around every ~20 seconds, the boss casts
虚空爆发
which marks creates several zones around the room.
Moments later these zones explode, dealing a high burst of shadow damage to all players within them.
Players must be ready to move out of these zones as soon as possible, as the damage can one shot you if the boss has high Lingering Energy stacks.
After the zones have exploded, the raid should restack next to the boss so that healers can counter
毁灭
damage more easily.
Raids might find this mechanic easier to dodge if the boss is positioned in the middle of the room for this phase, as it gives people more directions to dodge zones.
Move out of the
虚空爆发
zones. Stack back up afterwards!
充能锁链
Every 10 seconds, the boss will apply
充能锁链
to two random players.
This links the two players with a lightning chain. Whilst linked these players take nature damage every second. This damage increases by 20% per second.
The only way to remove the chain is to move 40 yards away from your linked partner.
The two afflicted players should move in opposite directions as soon as possible to break the chain and stop the damage.
Healers may want to spot heal these players, especially if it is taking them a long time to break the chain.
Heroic Difficulty
Aside from numerical changes, in which the boss deals more damage and the enemies have more health, there are no mechanical changes listed for this encounter in the dungeon journal.
These increases in add health and boss ability damage just serve to further punish the raid if they make mistakes

This encounter becomes significantly more challenging on Mythic, because of the addition of the

mechanic. This forces players to always have to deal with the boss having two empowerments, and dealing with two simultaneous adds.

I HAVE made an easy soltion to "UNSTABLE VITA " mini game ,i'm just not sure what exactly will happen in last phase tho , does the mini game exist on last phase or not ?

According to the Dungeon Journal there is a difference to Unstable Vita on Heroic:
Unstable Vita: Charges the target with storm energy, causing a surge of lightning every 6 sec, which transfers Unstable Vita to the farthest available target. The streaking lightning inflicts 40 Nature damage,applies an application of Instability Exposure and knocks back all players in its path.
Each transfer consumes a stack of Unstable Vita. (Heroic, Mythic)
Unstable Vita: Charges the target with storm energy, causing a surge of lightning every 6 sec, which transfers Unstable Vita to the farthest available target. The streaking lightning inflicts 40 Nature damage, applies an application of Instability Exposure and knocks back the target.
Each transfer consumes a stack of Unstable Vita. (Normal)
*Unstable Vita on Heroic now knocks back all players in its path instead of hitting a single target.*
I am not sure about any change to Lingering Energies as none is indicated

My group did something slightly different for Unstable Vita. Instead of having only the marked players step out, we set up two markers at the far points where they would be standing and split the ranged between them. The vita would pick a player from Marker A and once it jumped, the person with the debuff would return to the stack, where they would be safe. It takes the pressure of callouts for that mechanic off the raid leader
