Notable Trash Mobs
Solar ChakramThe trash in Iskar's room uses abilities similar to those used during the Shadow-Lord Iskar encounter, but players do not have the benefit of the
安苏之眼
to help counteract them. This trash can therefore be very difficult, and players must be certain to pull each pack individually.
Each trash pack has 3

Shadow-Lord Iskar Encounter Mechanics
Eye of Anzu in front of IskarMacro:

/targetlasttargetThe Shadow-Lord Iskar encounter cycles between two phases: fighting Iskar directly, or fighting adds when Iskar flies into the air. The fight is primarily single-target damage with opportunities for cleave/AoE during the adds phases, which occur as Shadow-Lord Iskar reaches 70%, 45%, and 20% health.
Eye of Anzu
Shadow-Lord Iskar weaves powerful illusions capable of damaging the players who are affected by them. Players who wield the
安苏之眼
are able to see through these illusions and counter Iskar's abilities. At the start of the fight, the
安苏之眼
is directly in front of Iskar, and one player must run to it and pick it up.
While the
安苏之眼
is not currently possessed by a player, it will damage the entire raid with

A player holding the
安苏之眼
has an ExtraActionButton available to them, and their screen will be tinted green
Holding the
安苏之眼
gives the player stacks of
安苏之光
, which will eventually become too powerful to heal through

The macro provided to the right, beneath the picture of the ExtraActionButton, is strongly recommended. It will allow players to throw the
安苏之眼
by mousing over a player in their raid frames and pressing the macro button, without ever having to directly click on that player.
Most of the coordination required in this fight is centered around throwing the
安苏之眼
to players who can then use its powers to counteract specific mechanics. It is important that every player in the raid can see their raid frames, including important debuffs, and has access to their ExtraActionButton or the macro.

Phase 1: Grounded
During this phase, players fight Shadow-Lord Iskar directly. He uses four abilities during this phase, two of which -

and
幻影之伤
- interact with the
安苏之眼
mechanic.
Phantasmal WindsLook for this debuffThrow Eye to these players
幻影之风
will surround five players in illusory winds, pushing them toward the edge of Iskar's platform.
The winds grow more forceful the longer the player is affected by the
幻影之风
debuff, and may eventually push players off the edge of the platform
Players may cast while being pushed back, but running against the winds counts as movement and will interrupt any spells that cannot be cast while moving
If a player with
幻影之风
receives the
安苏之眼
, the
幻影之风
are dispelled and the player will no longer be forced to move
The raid must quickly throw the
安苏之眼
to each player with the
幻影之风
debuff
Prioritize tanks, then healers, then melee DPS, then ranged DPS
While waiting for the
安苏之眼
to be passed to you, run against the wind, and use movement speed-increasing effects when the winds get stronger
Periodically, Iskar will also debuff five players with
幻影之伤
. This debuff deals moderate instant damage when it is applied, and leaves a moderate bleed effect on the player.
幻影之伤
can be removed by healing the player above 90% health
Or,
幻影之伤
can be removed by throwing the
安苏之眼
to the affected player
Whether to throw the Eye or to heal through the
幻影之伤
debuff depends on factors like the healers' mana pool and whether the affected player is heavily damaged
It is often sufficient to simply heal through
幻影之伤
damage, especially if your healers are prepared and have the raid topped up before
幻影之伤
is cast. However, there are a few situations where clearing
幻影之伤
with the
安苏之眼
is preferable.
If healer mana is low, use the
安苏之眼
to clear
幻影之伤
If a player with
幻影之伤
is targeted for
邪能飞轮
, use the
安苏之眼
to clear
幻影之伤
If the raid has just suffered heavy raid damage from a bungled

Iskar also casts two abilities that have no interaction with the

Fel Chakram targetWhen Shadow-Lord Iskar begins to cast
邪能飞轮
, he selects and marks three targets - one tank, one melee DPS, and one ranged DPS or healer. At the end of the five-second cast, he will hurl a Chakram that will travel to each of the marked targets before it returns to Iskar.
Any player struck by the
邪能飞轮
- whether they were marked or not - will take heavy damage
Being struck by the
邪能飞轮
also causes an explosion centered on the player, dealing damage to the entire raid based upon each player's distance from the struck player
The Chakram will seek out the ranged DPS/healer target first, then the melee target, then the tank target, before returning to Iskar
Before beginning the encounter, set out three world raid markers along one side of the room, at least 20 yards apart
Assign the tanks to one marker, the melee DPS to the second, and the ranged/healers to the third marker
Players affected by
邪能飞轮
should run to the marker that matches their role, and stay there until all Chakram damage has been dealt
The rest of the raid should position themselves so they will not be in the path of the
邪能飞轮
For example, if the markers are set up to the right of the boss, the raid should be loosely clumped to the left of the boss

is the tank-swap mechanic in this phase; Iskar always targets the current tank each time he casts it, and the other tank must taunt so the targeted tank can run the Chakram out.
Kite the Fel Incineration beamPeriodically, a ranged DPS or healer will be targeted by

. Shortly after, a fel laser will begin to chase this player, leaving

Shadow-Lord Iskar will land and re-engage the raid after 40 seconds, whether the adds are dead or not. Until the adds are dead, this is an extremely dangerous time, and players must be careful with the
安苏之眼

may overlap if the Corrupted Talonpriest is still alive when Iskar lands. Players should give the
安苏之眼
to a healer to dispel the
邪能炸弹
when this happens, and only use the
安苏之眼
to clear
幻影之风
after the
邪能炸弹
mechanic has been dealt with.
A second
暗影逃脱
phase occurs when Iskar reaches 45% health. Players will face the same adds from the first Escape phase, but also must defeat a Shadowfel Warden.

If this cast is successful, the Warden will continually cast

deals very high, random raid damage, and is likely to be fatal

When to use Bloodlust/Heroism/Time Warp

during the third and final adds phase to quickly kill the adds. This is the hardest phase of the encounter because so many adds are active, each using dangerous abilities that must be negated with rapid

passing. Shortening the time players must deal with all three of the
安苏之眼
mechanics will vastly improve the raid's chance of success.
The third add phase occurs when Shadow-Lord Iskar reaches 20% health.
When to use Legendary Ring Effects
The DPS legendary ring should be used during the adds phases. Note that each add phase has a priority target as well as a number of low-health, low-priority adds. AoE during the ring's buff to kill the low-priority adds may translate to higher damage on the priority target via the detonation effect at the end of the ring buff.
The healer legendary ring should be used during the adds phases to heal through the first
聚焦冲击
and any accidental
邪能炸弹
or
邪能焚化
damage. The absorption effect applied at the end of the buff's duration should protect players against the second cast of
聚焦冲击
.
There is no distinct ability to mitigate with the tank legendary ring, so tanks should use it during emergencies or when recovering from mistakes such as
邪能炸弹
detonations or misplaced
邪能飞轮
targets.
Looking For Raid Difficulty
On Looking for Raid difficulty, the
安苏之眼
will no longer AoE the raid with

when it is not being held. This prevents the raid from being overly punished if the player currently holding the
安苏之眼
happens to die.
Additionally, players holding the
安苏之眼
will not be affected by
安苏之光
. The raid can safely throw the
安苏之眼
back to a trusted player to hold onto it in between the Eye-related mechanics.

If two non-partnered players overlap their
暗影之缚
circles, they will trigger

and likely will die
If either player in the partnership dies before clearing

expires naturally, the affected player takes

Dark Binding spell effectIt is extremely important that players
spread out

occurs, so that

appear, the player currently holding the

must throw the Eye to one of the affected players. When that player has ascertained the identity and location of their partner, they must run to their partner to clear

. They can throw the

to another affected player once they know who their partner is. Once two sets of players have cleared their

, the third set can work out who their partner is by elimination, and do not need the
安苏之眼
. The

should be thrown back to a healer for the next

dispel.

approximately 20 seconds into the phase, and will cast it again 35 seconds later. The goal should be to kill the Phantasmal Resonance quickly enough to prevent the first

event from occurring.

damage is high enough that players debuffed by this effect may require the
安苏之眼
to dispel it, rather than letting the healers bring them up above 90% health. Iskar alternates between the two abilities. All players should be sure that they can see both

幻影之伤
debuffs on their raid frames.

, the tank should run out of the raid if there are other more important mechanics that require the Eye to be handled.
If

removes the debuff entirely, the tank can fairly safely stay put, assuming the raid is able to hand the Eye to him/her in less than 4 seconds (before third tick). Surviving two ticks is fine, even three if people are prepared for it.
I am more inclined to believe that the Eye does in fact remove the debuff. Firstly, it has been described to prevent the application of the debuff altogether (which would be the case if the Eye cancels it), and secondly, spell effect #11 of
安苏之眼
is "Cancel Aura:
幻影腐蚀
".

In case anyone is having problems with phase 2 on normal difficulty, like the healers dispelling the debuff and then passing back to the melee in time to interrupt fel conduit, a much easier way to do it is to have ALL of the fel bomb targets run to the edges of the room away from everyone else and spread out, let the debuff drop, and go back in. This requires no dispelling at all and does minimal damage if they are spread out correctly. this way the melee can hold the eye and pass between each other to interrupt the conduit when necessary.
Did this on normal and was so insanely easy. I have no idea if this strategy will continue to work for heroic.

Having done HC and normal so far, I'm inclined to believe that the Phantasmal Winds' speed ramp up a lot quicker on heroic, as we had a few more incidents where members of the raid falling off the platform when executing the same tactic we did on normal. Just something to note I guess, to be a lot quicker on throwing the Eye in HC.
