Welcome to Wowhead's Warrior leveling guide for Burning Crusade Classic! This guide will review information you need to to level quickly in Burning Crusade Classic, including reviews and ratings of the three dominant specs, tips for the best and fastest leveling, dungeon leveling, gear, and links to all the guides to make the most of your Warrior leveling experience.
Our class guides are updated regularly with information based on theorycraft and in-game experience. If you decide Warrior isn't for you, check out the side navigation to pick a different class leveling guide.
Strengths and Weaknesses of Warrior Leveling in Burning Crusade Classic
Warriors come in three basic specs: Arms, Fury, and Protection. Arms and Fury are Melee DPS classes, meaning that their primary role is to deliver damage from close range. Protection is a Tank class, and their job is to keep threat and damage focused on themselves while the rest of their party burns down the enemies and heals incoming damage. Needless to say, Protection Warriors shine in groups.
All three Warrior types share similar strengths and weaknesses in terms of leveling. Warriors can be slow and difficult to level, as they have some of the same shortcomings:
High gear dependency:
Warriors rely on having updated armor and weapons for their level. Weapon DPS is critical for their ability to perform, so making sure your weapon is up to date is a very high priority.
Lack of effective self-heals:
Warriors have no healing spells and must rely on food or bandages (or a party member to heal them). This can make solo questing very slow. While the ability
乘胜追击
does exist in Burning Crusade Classic, the self-healing component was not added until Cataclysm.
Few escape cards:
Warriors have little ability to escape dangerous situations. If you find yourself outnumbered, swap to shield and defensive stance and make a run for it!
刺耳怒吼
in the Fury tree is an amazing escape tool for this purpose.
But there's also great news with Warriors. These are some of their strengths:
High demand as tanks:
Good Protection Warriors will never be lonely! Even though other tanks in Burning Crusade Classic have caught up in some ways to the Protection Warrior, they will always find a warm welcome in groups.
Wide variety of weapon choices:
Warriors can learn nearly every weapon in the game (Wands are the one exception), so they can take advantage of a wider array of drops than other classes.
Stances introduce some basic flexibility:
Want to level in a DPS spec but occasionally tank a dungeon or two without having to switch talents? Arms warriors in Protection stance with "sword and board" (one-handed weapon plus shield) are perfectly capable of tanking leveling dungeons. Although this is not recommended for raiding or high-level dungeon content, for leveling dungeons it's usually fine.
Warrior Leveling Specs in Burning Crusade Classic
There really isn't a bad spec for Warrior leveling in Burning Crusade Classic. Your choice depends on your play style and what you're looking for in your class.
Leveling as a Fury Warrior
Many Warriors agree that, while Arms was the preferred spec for leveling in Classic, Dual-Wield
Fury
is a great Melee DPS build for leveling 60-70 in Burning Crusade Classic — if your gear is up to snuff. Shredding mobs into tiny pieces with Sweeping Strikes is remarkably satisfying, and it's a fun and fast build. Fury warriors can use either Dual Wield (wielding two 1H weapons) or one 2H weapon.
Fury's reliance on Attack Power to increase
嗜血
's damage, crit rating to take advantage of
乱舞
and heavy amounts of hit rating to counter the Dual Wield hit penalty means it's really best suited for someone coming into Outlands with raid-level gear.
Leveling as an Arms Warrior
Arms
is a flexible leveling Melee DPS spec that gives you many choices. Solo/group questing and dungeon runs are all viable without having to switch specs, as long as you're not trying to tank high-level dungeon or raid content. It's a flexible spec for someone who likes to try it all.
Arms is also a better choice if you are going into Outlands with average or below-average gear, as it's more forgiving than Fury on the gear front. Having a strong two-handed weapon is key to the build, but other gear requirements aren't as high.
致死打击
has much higher base damage than Bloodthirst and
强化压制
is a great way to convert your unfortunate dodges into more damage.
Leveling as a Protection Warrior
Protection
is a total drudge for solo questing, but in groups it's great. Since this is primarily a Tank build, you will never spend much time looking for dungeon groups! It lacks some of the raw excitement of Fury or the flexibility of Arms, but especially if your long-term goals include doing a lot of heroic dungeons and raids, it's a great time to hone your skills and build your friends' lists.
Protection is not the most popular leveling build, but those who prefer dungeon grinding will find it enjoyable.

Best Leveling Talent Build for Warriors in Burning Crusade Classic
Arms and Fury are the two preferred leveling specs for Burning Crusade Classic. The deciding factor is your gear level as you enter the new expansion.
If you have low- to average-level gear, including dungeon gear, Arms is going to be a more successful spec. Fury is best for those going into Outlands with raid-level gear, since high Crit and Armor Penetration are key to this build.
Protection is not recommended, but the best leveling build for that spec is also included here.

Warrior Gear for Leveling in Burning Crusade Classic
Gear will always be a top priority for Warriors -- more so than for many other classes. Weapons are a primary goal for Fury and Arms Warriors, with high-stamina, high-mitigation gear a priority for Protection. It's a good time to plan ahead for some targeted upgrades for Warriors in the gear department.
Just like in Classic, dungeons remain one of the most consistent sources of good gear upgrades while leveling in Burning Crusade Classic. There are also some great weapon questlines to follow -- the
鲜血竞技场:终极挑战
quest line in Te Ring of Blood in Nagrand is a must-do for nearly every class, as it's a great source of some awesome Rare-quality weapon upgrades.

Dungeon Grinding for Warriors in Burning Crusade Classic
And speaking of gear, Dungeons are the best way to upgrade your gear as you level in Burning Crusade Classic! We've prepared Dungeon Grinding guides to help familiarize you with the dungeons of Outlands, what quests you should pick up, and helpful tips on how to make the most of your class and role. For Warriors, the Physical Damage Group guide will tell you what you need to know!

Best Leveling Professions for Warriors in Burning Crusade Classic
Many people recommend not picking up manufacturing professions (Blacksmithing, Tailoring, etc). until after you've reached maximum level. These professions can be very expensive to level, and you're going to have a lot of expenses anyway. Instead, consider leveling with gathering professions such as Herbalism, Skinning, or Mining. If you have an idea of what profession you'd like to pick up later, you can set aside materials for your own use.
The most important secondary skill for any Warrior is
急救
, since this is a way Warriors can heal themselves when they're out in the world.
烹饪
is also useful for creating your stat food, and of course
钓鱼
helps with leveling Cooking.

Leveling Boosted Warriors in Burning Crusade Classic
Warriors who have gotten to level 58 through the
Burning Crusade: Dark Portal Pass
will start out with a set of basic gear, all your Weapon skills learned, all but one of your 58 abilities (the last you have to learn in the course of doing your opening boost quests). The Azeroth Survival Kit you receive at the beginning will give you both one-handed and two-handed weapons, as well as a shield, ensuring that your choice of spec will come with appropriate gear.
Of the three specs, Arms is the most forgiving for a Warrior who will be a little behind the curve in terms of gear. All three specs are weapon dependent, but Arms has the most flexibility in this department.

I've levelled as prot, it was not so bad.
Your talent build is wrong,
I fixed it.
This is ideal for a mix of tanking and solo questing. Adjust according to your plan.
You DO need a few points in TM everytime.
You DO NOT need any points in block% talent for questing or 5man tanking. Imp revenge will prevent way way more damage than some extra block. Block talent is there for crushings which should only happen against mobs that are 3 or more levels above you. Sure it might happen if you tank instances above your level. If you're planning to do so, then of course spec for imp. shield block.
When questing, use dps gear with 2 slow weapons. Berzerker stance, spam devastate and WW, rage dump with HS and execute. You can stance dance anytime to def for a revenge proc or concussion blow or dance to battle stance when overpower proc. Remember to use berzerker rage constantly for extra rage. Victory Rush is worth it, it's free damage and hits harder than deva.

This guide is mislabeled. It says 1-70, but it very clearly is a 60-70 leveling guide and doesn't touch new warriors at all.
