8 piece nemesis set bonus is almost irreplaceable in pve since warlocks need all of the threat reduction they can get. the best option is to get all 8 pieces and pick up a nice spell damage set allong the way.

The 8/8 Bonus to be honest is not GREAT, unless you tend to pull agro a lot. I tend to wear 6/8 Nemesis. (Sash of whispered secrets + Ebony Flame Gloves. I wear these for a pretty good amount of +Shadow damage.). The 5/8 Bonus is extremely good, especially for demonology warlocks.

Most locks go for 3/8 and get the spell damage, and use better random peices with mass amounts of stam and +dmg

Really like the Enslave Demon buff with this set, I'm glad their starting to pay attention to one of the coolest aspects of being a warlock.
Unfortunatley, it's still pretty much a waste. How often do you go all the way out of your way to a place with demons, make sure you have enough shards, cast Enslave and pray that it does not break within five minutes? They really gotta buff this, it's useless in it's current state.

Let us compare Felheart and Nemesis:
Felheart set gives these bonuses as more pieces are worn:
3: Health gained when Drain Life deals damage increased by 10%.
5: Your pet gains 150 life and 100 spell resistance against all schools of magic.
8: Mana cost of Shadow spells reduced by 15%.
Nemesis set gives these bonuses as more pieces are worn:
3: Reduces the casting time of your Enslave Demon spell by 1.5 sec.
5: Your pet gains 200 life and 130 spell resistance against all schools of magic.
8: Reduces the threat generated by your Destruction spells by 20%.
While wearing nemesis, you are sacrificing 10% of your damage while drain-tanking, your pet gains 50 extra hp and 30 extra resistance, your shadowspells cost additional 15% to cast, while your enslave demon casts 1.5sec faster. The setbuffs just makes me sad.
Nemesis has 2% critbonus in the set, where Felheart has 1%. Nemesis has 139 spell damage, Felheart has 42 and 43 to shadowspells. Felheart loses 54 damage.
Other stats, Nemesis 184/124/40 (Stamina, intelligence, fire res) where Felheart has the same stats of 180/126/34.
There is no way on earth I'd pick Nemesis over Felheart.

umm this set does not drop in MC, only the legs drop from ragnaros, the headpiece from onyxia, and the rest drop in BWL. and its getting changed a bit for 1.9, im not sure about the bonus tho. anyone know if the bonuses are changing too?

"Many of the pieces from the Tier 2 Armor sets have received updated statistics. The armor sets with the most extensive changes include the Netherwind, Nemesis, and Judgement sets. Other sets received fewer revisions, or none at all."
Thats from the Public Test Realm Patch Notes for 1.9 on the WoW website. So it sounds like nemesis will be getting altered significantly for the next patch. Hopefully this means that it'll have better bonuses, although the +200 life and 130 resistance for pets is really nice so hopefully that will stay.

As I am at work, I have not tabulated the new stats for the new set (I am assuming the above link is correct). Far as I am aware, most of the int and stam stats have been reduced by about 1 or 2, but with +spell damage increased. So the new set is all about more DPS with less stats?
To the testers: What are the new equip bonuses?

I'm wondering if anyone has ever posted something that shows mixed items that can beat a set w/bonuses. I don't really care what my armor looks like. Maybe i need queer eye for the straight lock to change my view on that, but I'd rather have function over form. I've heard people say sets are for "noobs" but haven't seen concrete proof of this.
Off topic: the use of the word "noob"(i put this in quotes as i don't want anyone to ever think I'd use this word casually)is sad. This is a game and experience/knowledge of it does not bump up your social status. I play for fun and if I don't know something, I would never get offended by someone calling me "noob". In fact it makes me laugh at first, then I feel sorry for the person who used it. I'm not quite sure why I'm on this rant so I'll stop. But please enjoy yourselves.

Don't gimp yourself to get good FR. FR is really not that important to locks. You need a bare minimum of about 70FR unbuffed. That's dragonrider boots, ony necklace, and a FR ring/trinket. Ranged does NOT take that much FR in MC. Fire lords usually don't aggro casters unless you overaggro. Ancient Core Hounds might turn around and shoot an AOE flame but it's max damage is 2000-3000 and you should have around 4k or so health as a lock in blues so you should be fine even if you dont resist any. Baron never gets near ranged, he's always tanked in the center. Keep your range from the imps and you won't get touched with any damage.
FR helps with Mag in case you get feared into some fire but as long as you get 30 yards away when the call is made that he's about to fear you'll do fine.
Now if you want to fight Rag, you need 100+ FR unbuffed. I have 175 FR unbuffed for RAG b/c his aoe knockback hurts and so do his sons. But just sit out for rag until you gear up with tier1 and you'll do fine.

The set bonuses are obviously made for raiding, the highlight of those is the 8/8 bonus, Reduces the threat generated by your Destruction spells by 20%. The 5/8 bonus, the added pet Stamina and Resistances helps with SL locks who roll with their felpuppy, and to a lesser extent, not letting your pet die from the mobs AoE spells if you are a MD build. If you are not, then not worry about AoE from the mob because your Imps Phase shift will keep your little buddy safe. Then, finally the 3/8 bonus, extra +damage never hurts.
I personally dont wear this set because I am HEAVY fire lock build (hey, I get free water, having a mage for a friend helps) and I use things like Gloves of the Hypnotic Flame (
https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=37602
), because it adds some +damage, but even more fire.
I rarely raid with my guild ever more because of the de-buff limit and my damage is bursty rather than sustained. Not only that; but I have to fight with the mages for +fire gear.
I Pvp more than anything (if you couldnt tell) and I wish all those up and coming Locks to keep playing, and dont be a Flavor of the Month Player, nobody likes those.

Just wondering, once I am lvl 60...do I need to have on another tier 2 set before I can try to get this one? I am only lvl 53 right now, but I would like to have what I need by the time I hit 60 to be able to get this set. Can someone maybe give me some advice on how to go about this?

I love this set.
This would be só impressive with a nether drake or something.
I think it's worth the effort even at lvl 70.

Still one of the best looking Warlock sets if not THE best looking one. I still keep mine in the bank ;p. Also, while running BWL is indeed useless, some of us still do it just for kicks. Like today, some guildies 7 manned Razorgore. It might no be a big accomplishment now, but whenever I think of the good ol' days when we were learning this troublesome encounter, I cannot help but smile a bit in nostalgia :P.

ALL of the Nemesis Raiment pieces fall/drop in BlackWing Lair
apart from the "Nemesis SkullCap" & Nemesis Leggings"
Skull Cap = Onyxia's Lair = Onyxia
Leggings = Molten Core = Ragnoros.
Hope this will help you all
