Eccellent head for a feral druid, even if it's a cloth one!
The cheapest item you can make to get Vision Dust if you're using tailoring to provide items for disenchanting.
Pre 2.3 patch: +11 Str, +11 agi. Awesome rogue mask despite being cloth.
My rogue alt is sad it got changed, but my mage alt is glad ^^
Learned at 215.
Yellow at 220.
Green at 225.
Gray at 230.
Using this recipe, I was able to make +100g a day.
This has the SINGLE highest contribution margin out of everything that can be DE'd (using wowhead prices) at around 44%.
is there anything better for +dmg for a shadow priest around this level?
All masks wearable by casters (bandit-esque mask):
If there are any I happened to miss, please inform me :P
This one sells well on AH, seems to appeal to rogues and enchanters, and disenchants very well.
One bolt of mageweave costs about 25s in the AH on most servers, bleach costs 20c, and the thread costs me 16s, 41s20c total. These easily sell for 1g in the AH, and you can sell several per day. 50-60s for each one you make, not a bad deal.
Not to mention that it's pretty much free skill!
In case anyone is interested, the Leatherworking equivalent is Nightscape Headband.
I sell this on my new server for 3g all the time. The recipe goes for like 1g and is a great investment. Not to mention that it is only 1 mageweave. Get it. I usually ask 3g but once in a while you will get someone that will spend 5g on this. DON't ask me why. I dont know if it is the looks or what, all i know is it sells.
I have seen it all..even a priest who is a blacksmither.
POINT is, that for some reason this pattern doesn't seem to sell for much, (I got mine for 6g on nutral AH) yet it holds good qualities.
1- I leveled my tailoring good this way, very cheap to do!
2- I am not an enchanter but I guess the mats are good from the DE.
3- It DOES go on the 'head' slot, but it LOOKS like a mask that is kinda cool. (however white is not as 'cool' as the red BoP one in Westfall. But is rogue only)
4- Stats seem 1/2 way decent for the lev and in regards to weather or not it's better than the headband style from LW...
...forgive me if I'm wrong but isn't the LW one LEATHER?.. this is Cloth?.. not all of us can wear leather, and the fact that it does look like it's from a bad 80's video, I'd choose the 'Mask'. That is if I was able to wear leather and NOT be able to 'hide' my helm from the interface options menu.
Sent some to my low lev enchanter and they most often DE'd to 2 'lesser nether essence' which go for about 2g each (on the very cheap end) as well as 3-5 of the dust which were around 30s each. Haven't got a shard yet, but they go for about 5.5g each! All from 1 bolt of mageweave is about all!
VERY WORTH IT FOR DE-ing
I got the pattern for 36 silver today off the AH :D
This is getting changed in 2.3:
This most recent patch changed this awesome mask, which I had pre-purchased before I was to get to its require level, from a decent rogue mask, to something a rogue wouldn't even touch if it was shining radiantly with gold sauce. What's with that? Now it's a magic user mask. Way to take take one of the cool headgears for rogues and screw it up, Blizzard :[
I know wtf I had this thing for mad long theres another good helm for rogues for this level but this one was great damnit logged on my old 39 and str and agi were down lol I was a sad man then I wondered if nathans was open CHEESE FRIES
Yeah I'm pretty peeved... I logged onto my rogue and wondered why the hell I'd lost some stats. Then I saw the white bandit mask... not impressed.
change it back ;/
Wow, that is a big change from the previous patch this used to be a rogue item with 11 str and agi
I could be wrong, but the last time I checked, cloth was for casters. My main is a rogue, and I remember wearing this thing, but I think its about time they give it the appropriate stats. So rogues, hit up the AH for a 2g headband. As for you squishies, go have fun in your newly revamped helm, because blizzard isn't changing it back.
lol, it's funny seeing all these rogues wearing this now. everyone should be shouting noobs ha ha.
I don't see why everyone is so heartbroken that this is no longer a Rogue item. It was made by
. Tailors make cloth. Rogues wear leather. It made no sense for there to be a cloth item made by tailors for Rogues, so Blizzard decided to make a use for it besides enchanting. Simple as that.
If u r chanter/tailor these are gold! each one makes about 2-3g with disenchant. Long silken cloaks are also good.
I'm a tailor and have a 150 chanting alt. I farm mageweave on my mage and make hundreds of gold off the disenchanted stuff. Great way to make money and will most likely get me my epic flyer. Just don't tell anyone on your server about this so as not to get any competition and have the AH flooded, which is what is happening now. It sucks.
This was a deacent item for rogues before the change in 2.3.
Sadly i cant seem to find any items with simular looks btw level 30 to 40. Anyone out there know about items with same look as this one?
Great item for DEing. You can make them cheap and DE them into good stuff.
I'm making these for a little under a gold each and averaging about 4G each for the items I get from having them disenchanted.
I don't even try to sell them. I just make them to DE and then sell the mats. I'm making a couple hundred gold a week off of these for no effort.
I finally got to the point where I can make and DE these on my alt. Essentially, from now on, he's going to sit next to the Auction House. He'll collect all the gold he made the day prior, use that gold to make masks, disenchant, sell, repeat.
He was pretty much broke yesterday, I think I'll have 10-15 gold in my mailbox when I get home today.
I was somewhat disappointed when I disenchanted them though, I made 4 initially, I got 2x Vision Dust three times and 1x Lesser Nether Essence... I may have just been unlucky though.
Glad thottbot pointed me to this though, it'll be very lucrative for me :)
DE'ed 20 of these.
Lesser Nether Essence:
Small Radiant Shard:
11 masks 5 Lesser Nether Essence, 23 Vision Dust, 2 Small Radiant Shards
crafted by tailoring(215), x1 bolt of mageweave, x1 bleach, x1 heavy silken thread
This seems like a craftable item, can anyone make this? Or know where to get the recipie?
This mask is not as good stats as Nightscape Headband but it looks damn cool!
I just found out that this might be the best item for skilling up your enchanting skill. It's easy and quite cheap to make and you'll get good ingredients from disenchanting.
What is up with Blizzard, I had our guild tailor make this for me at lvl 35, now that I'm lvl 38 they go and change to stats from 11 agility 11 strength to intelligence and plus to spells. Thanks a lot. as if casters need another mask.
This is an excellent pattern for the Tailor/Enchanter looking for enchanting mats. Just disenchanted 10 of them, I got 26 Vision Dust from 8 of them and 3 Lesser Nether Essence from the other 2. Well worth the 2g I paid for the pattern on Lothar AH.
does someone have a pic of this not on a troll cause
he kinda ruins it.
Looks awesome on my Gnome Rogue.
+ White Swashbuckler's shirt, ahh, look so cool!
A must have for a rogue that cares about their looks.
lol. my main being a tailer i was happy and surpised to find i had this patturn and made it for my little rgoue :) its very cool looking
OK, so first the good news. I had 37 bolts of mageweave laying around, mostly obtained from mithril trunks from fishing. I sent them all to my tailor alt who converted them into these masks and then DEed them. The results:
77 Vision Dust
18 Lesser Nether Esences
2 Small Radiant Shards
At competitive AH prices on my server, these items are worth about 25.95g.
Now for the not so good news. The thread cost to make these is 18s each, which means I spent 6.66g in thread to craft them so the real profit is only 19.29g. Also, bolts of mageweave sell for about 55s each on my server. On the other hand, this price is entirely illogical since 20 stacks of mageweave cloth (i.e. 4 bolts worth) regularly sell for 85-90s. Something tells me only a modest number of the bolts sell for 50s+.
So if you consider the value of a bolt of mageweave to truly be 55s, converting them to WBMs and DEing them actually loses a little gold. On the other hand, if you consider their true value to be closer to 22-25s, DEing these is a moneymaker. Even at 25s each, that's 9.25g for 37 bolts and a profit of well over 10g for crafting/DEing 37 of these like I just did.
