First and foremost not any particular classes item, but priority should be placed on those classes that do not currently have aggro shedding abilities.
Warlocks, and DPS/Fury Warriors, this should be on your /drool list.
Perfect for AoE while in a raid and you just don't want to die or draw agro. However I have seen Fury Warriors take this before so they don't pull agro.
Not only is this perfect for going all out during any AoE (especially helpful in Naxxramas spider wing due to the ridiculous damage of each small spider in the 10+ spider pulls), but I would also say it is a must have for mages after patch 2.0.1. The fire and ice -threat talents are nerfed by 20% as damage in the trees got buffed. As a fire mage in Naxx, I already pull aggro if I go all out in many fights. This trinket completely changes that. 70% threat for 20 seconds every 3 minutes is all you need to stay far enough behind on threat.
Fetish of the Sand Reaver is very nice for a fury warrior. Since fury warriors got no abilitys to reduce aggro this trinket would be useful. When Fetish of the Sand Reaver is activated, you can spam bloodthirst and use all kinds of + AP /damage abilitys (Deathwish, Bloodthirst, Reckleness, Rampage etc)
Nice for Broodlord, Huhuran, etc encounters.
-50% threat at lvl70, so still a amazing trinket for my warrior. <3
The best aggro-controll trinket in the game, including all lvl70 things.
A happy warlock, who (once upon a time ...) got it for low DKP.

2.3 patch may very well make this once great trinket obsolete. Berzerker stance will include a threat reduction by default.
Even if this is a AQ40 trinket, Its still really nice now even if TBC is out (for almost EVERY CLASS) The minus agro is so insane on AOE packs, On bosses with enrage timers and that keep reducing agro on your tank (void reaver for example) and for those players that like to pop everything they have before the tank even hits the target.
Imagine rogues being able to use this on Vaelstraz... would make things SO easy..
This would be *perfect* for DPS warriors, who have no natural threat reduction. XD
Pop ToEP + Arcane Power + this, and have fun AOEing.

How about warriors then? we fury warriors are way much more effective dmg dealers than rogues, we only cant do as much dmg since we have to control our aggro = no aggro reducing abilities = big crits = wait.
1. Rogues stop whine about using this, use feint a couple of times at an encounter and vanish instead if being so $%^&ing damagehungry, you missing a sinister strike because of you use feint or a mage/warlock going all out for 20 seconds?.
2. Warriors. Sure great for fury warriors but atleast 50% the times you TANK. no need for that trinket then, infact.. having that trinket as a tank is idiotic.
3. Hunters: Feign death, needless to say more
4. Mages: You already got 30% in your tree tbh, and in patch 1.12 threat reducing stuff wont stack.
Warlocks is the class with the biggest aggro issues, and now with 1.12 our aggro issues will be even bigger because now can do 50% more DPS with the new lifetap.
Warriors sure, but you tank 50% of the time, we do DPS 100% of the time.
so the class I think can raise their DPS the most is warlocks when using it. But! I know how my guild works so we will just have DPS prio on it :) But I know that no rogue or hunter will bid a thing at it.. maybe some mage abit. The classes which will bid the most is warlocks and our 3 wannabe "platerogues".

Ice block does not reduce your aggro. Mobs just ignore you untill you come out of it. If you lose aggro during that time it is because someone has past you on the hate list while you had stopped attacking.
This is SO for warlocks... we dont have much to lower our agro but investing 30 points in demonology.
This would save our @SS a few times im shure :)
(mages and rogues have talents a lot higher)
our raidleader set prio for this to dps without thread lowering abilities but nobody bid so I got it for my priest and am very happy with it as i've died often enough at Razorgore for example while my fade was on cooldown :)

With the 1.12 Life Tap improvement I think I will be able to do a lot more Nuke-Damage.

Also, this is the kind of trinket that would be useful in TBC, unless they change the way it works. I could see someone holding onto this until 70, just for agro-sensitive fights.

I agree with the poster below me that this item can be used effectively by virtually every class. Classes that less use out of this are rogues, priests, paladins and hunters due to their innate aggro control abilities (vanish, fade, innate low threat heals, feign death). Not that they can't use it...its just not worth the dkp cost.
Personally, as a mage, I really think this is an awesome item. But not necessarily because of Arcane Power. Its because of AoE. Think of this item as an invulnerability pot when AoEing with competent warriors. Spike crits on AoE spells can cause 10+ mobs to turn to you at once, even with warriors trying to hold aggro. No healer can heal through that. But with Fetish of the Sand Reaver, you can AoE in tough spots with ease, and without the threat of drawing aggro. Whenver this drops, I plan on blowing all my current dkp on it. Nothing much left that I'd upgrade anyway, so something that adds this much functionality is a huge plus. Also, as a Fire Mage, I'd use this in conjunction with Combustion so big ignite rolls don't get me killed. =D
Other uses for classes:
Shaman/Druids => initially healing the MT on a tricky pull.
Elemental Shaman => going balls to the walls on dps
Warlocks => Hellfire when you don't want to be AoE-tanking. Curse of Doom. Shadowbolt spamming early in a fight.
DPS Warriors => During dps spike periods (deathwish/recklessness/executing)
Personally, I see the two classes who would use this the most *often* would be mages and locks. Followed by dps warriors. The rest could definitely use it, but would it be worth bidding high for it? Dunno, depends how much your guildies care about this item.

Priests get fade.. Warriors are suppose to aggro.. Rogues/Hunters dont need it at all.. Druids that heal could use it... but not really... There is much better for a druid... Pally and shaman can at least take a hit or 2...
As for Warlock/Mage.. the only way to drop aggro is to die...
Hunters need this because i am forever outdamaging our casters and pulling the gro. Give this to a hunter and you'll fly through AQ.
One time I died 23 times in one full ZG run. I admit after the 10th time I was trying to pull aggro :D but this thing would help a ton hehe.
This trinket is good for any dps class but AP mages get the most out of it if you ask me.

With Gear A you do 1149 dmg FB:s with CoE up and have 15% cirt and 7% to hit and you do 60 frostbolts + 3 piece NW and salvation. (my gear with the new staff and Mantle of the never drop in bwl...)
With Gear B you do 1192 dmg FB:s with CoE up and have 15% cirt and 9% to hit and you do 60 forstbolts + 3 piece NW and salvation. (ny gear with the new staff and neffs trinket and Mantle of the never drop in bwl...sigh)
You are fighting a lvl 63 mob. he have a base chance to resist your spells of 17% and all mobs lvl 1-63 has a 1% chance to resist spells so effectively that puts i.e huhuran on 18% resistchance. Making the chance to “miss” with Gear A 18-7 = 11% and with Gear B 18-9 =9%.
Of those 60 FB:s, 6.6 gets resisted. and 8 get critical.
From FB spam:
Dmg from 45.4 FB:s: 45.4*1149 = 52164.6 dmg
Dmg from 8 Crits: 8*(2*1149) = 18384
Total dmg: 70548.6
Total dps: 440.9
From trinkets and shizz:
*1st Crit* FB: 1149+229.6*1.35*2 = 3722.2 (3722.2-100)*0.21*1.5 = 1141 pot)

When you use AP+ZHC+Neffs Tear you generate 12920.3/3748.4 = 344% more threat then using AP+ZHC+FotSR and do 15496.6/15004.3 = 3.2% more dmg.
In the FB spaming over 3 min with the different combos you do 90115.8/85552.9 = 5.3% more dmg with AP+ZHC+Neffs but generate 66916.9/54708.6 = 22.3% more threat.
And my favourite reason, open with AP+ZHC+FotSR when the tank barley touched the mob and still live to tell about it :D

I don't think people realize what fade really does. Yes fade reduces your threat for 10 seconds, but after that 10 seconds is up, all that threat comes right back. Fade gives you a chance to stop healing (if possible) and lets the warrior build his agro back up above taht level. I have never stolen agro from the warrior in raid situations as a main healer. If i was an extra healer I MIGHT use this, but I would prefer to see this go to some heavy hitters that can't reduce agro.
Plus i really like my blessed prayer beads/draconic infused emblem combo (2 blues with all purple ftw).
This is, to me, a rogue/mage trink. Mages for their amaazingly irritating burst damage agro and rogues because.... they're rogues!

Yes, this trinket is absolutely GODLY for a mage, because it stacks with Arcane Power and ZHC, Mind Quickening Gem, TOEP etc!
In fact, AP + ZHC + this can make you able to dish out MASSIVE damage with a very small chance to attract aggro.
It's especially wonderful if you use it on AOE situation, where you can open up AP + ZHC + Fetish and then go on POM Flamestrike + CoC + AE AE AE AE AE killing spree. You can demolish a whole bunch of mobs, emptying your mana pool entirely, but STILL survive because you generate so little threat.
In fact, I love this trinket even more than my Neltharion's Tear in most PVE situation.
Mages (especially if you are AP specced), get this if you can, don't let it potential wasted on rogues/hunters etc.
one word AOE, warriors can tank now, so in aq40 where the mobs u have to aoe do 700/hit u can survive with ease
No, it's not a fade -- it simply reduces the aggro you generate from the point you activate it and from then on. Cooldown is 3 minutes.
I CANNOT wait to get my hands on this trinket. I'm a shadow priest, yes in PvE not just PvP. I pump out insane dmg and still compete with healers using Vamp Embrace and now Vamp Touch. With the new patch and talents my overall DPS has launched me on average a whole 3 slots higher on the damage meter. My problem is that Mind Blast causes soooo much threat, and now I have 15% extra crit on it, so I'm critting Taunt basically. On many fights I always worry about pulling aggro because if I unleash myself, I WILL rip aggro off the tank, it's so easy. I'd love to have this paired with my ZHC, if I can dual trinket those two, not sure if I can. If I can't, I'll use some other dmg trinket. THis fetish would allow me to unload on any boss and not have to worry about ripping aggro. And maybe knock me up a couple more slots on that meter.
BTW for all you PvE skeptics, I'm ALWAYS in the top ten for 40 mans, top 5 for 20 mans, and I have been 3rd for a whole 40 man before. So yes shadow priests can make a huge difference and the warlocks praise me. So don't tell me to heal.
Simply put, this is a mage item, giving it to the class that is going to have the most burst damage in a short period of time.
Warlocks have 8 piece Nemesis.. although they will not be using that forever, it is something temporary until you can get your mages hooked up with this.
This should either go to a warrior, or a mage, because these are the classes that have no ability to remove aggro or control it.
Recklessness, This, and execute spam = a happy warrior.
For a dps warrior this item is GOD. Being able to open up combat with earthstrike+Deathwish without any threatconcerns does WONDERS for your dps.
Got this early Monday morning 03/06 off Fankriss the Unyielding for my 60 gnome mage, Bloodscalp server. I replaced my "Eye of the Beast" trinket with this, keeping my Zandalarian Hero Charm as my other trinket until I can get Neltharion's Tear. I wonder how well it stacks with 3/8 Netherwind set bonus.

Most raid guilds worthy of killing Fankriss (not that it's incredibly hard) probably have fairly competant members that would use common sense on rolling on an item.
A Fury Warrior would kill for this item considering they have
no way to reduce threat. Stop being ignorant, exclusive Fury Warriors who very rarely tank actually exist in raid guilds, deal with it.
A Warlock, disregarding their set bonus would use this item quite well. Warlocks have very impressive DPS, which a lot of times they are forced to hold back on because of no threat reducing talents.
A Rogue would also love this, because they can go a bit harder before they need to use Feint/Vanish cooldowns. Maybe not an optimal choice in place of say, DFT or something along those lines, but hey, more consistant/constant DPS is more DPS period.
Regardless of if a Mage has threat reducing talents, they don't have a "wipe" (and no, Ice Block does not "wipe" threat, sorry), which makes this item very effective. Also considering that it shares the same duration of cooldown as Arcane Power/PoM is a bonus.
I know nothing of healing classes except that Priests have fade. I'm sure Druids could get nice use as well.
The only one I would probably cringe on having would be a Hunter. You have FD, a 100% threat wipe. I don't care if it can resist, wait 30 seconds. (See, I can be ignorant too)
So really, stop being ignorant thottbot kiddies and prioritizing drops to specific classes. Until it says "Classes:" on it, it's up for grabs to whoever has the most points, period. Good for your guild if you have loot priority lists, cookie4U. Though I'm still convinced 85% of the people who post comments on these items, will never ever see them anyway.

just picked this up on my warrior, i'm fury spec and noone else needed on it in my guild, i pull aggro a hell of alot, and this is a real life saver, tbh this has to be wariror priority (dps ofc) warlocks at least have a set bonus to reduce aggro, we got nothing and as u get further into end game, dps warriors need to hold back more and more, this trinket helps you push a little harder

This is a great trinket for any class PvE-wise. If you think about it from a fury warrior's perspective, this trinket + deathwish are both 3 minute cooldowns. So hitting Deathwish + FotSR will work out almost perfectly when it comes to PvE dps.
This is so clearly a warlock trinket that I can't believe anyone would say otherwise.
Mages? They have massive aggro reduction in every tree now.
Rogues? Fade/disappear or whatever it is you sneaky guys do.

Obviously this will go to best use on who ever does the most damage in your guild, it can be any class really...BUT HUNTERS CAN CLEAR THEIR AGGRO AT WILL.
