Does this item sell any got?
is arcane resist needed for anyone raid at the moment?
Good for Curator, having a lock 2nd on threat, etc.
anyone knows where this drops?
*edit* seems it drops in arcatraz
haven't tried it yet, but i bet making these would b the best way to get large brilliant shards... anyone have better ideas?
go to nagrand and farm the ogres around the ring of trials(maghar rep+lots of netherweave cloth+lots of greens, rarely some blues) shard greens/blues, make netherweave bolts from the cloth and craft these bracers n shard em, best way so far making money, ~600g per day if you farm for around 3-4 hours
If you are a tailor/enchanter with the recipe for these bracers, and don't mind doing a bit of farming, you can make a lot of gold by disenchanting these.
Farm the mobs near the Black Temple ramp (right hand side), using whichever method you prefer. They drop a lot of Netherweave Cloth, greens to disenchant and rep items for Scryers which sell well.
With Arcane Dust from the greens and the netherweave you've farmed, you can make a few of these bracers. Shards are up to 35g on my server right now - far more than the resell price of the cloth and dust needed for these.
Of course, this all depends on you having the recipe but if you have it then definitely consider putting it to work for you!
i dunno why the comments above me are voted negatively, as I found them informative.
These are the best way to get large prismatics especially on servers where they run 35g or higher. I would imagine the netherweave is not terribly hard to come by.
I myself have a pair of these in the bank because Void Reaver loves throwing balls of doom at my face.
Costs 23.4g for the mats if the the arcane dusts sells for 1.5g each and the netherweave stacks sells for 3g.
That's pretty normal on my server.
That means you can earn 70 g or more, depending on how much the prismatics sells for, if you're buying mats for 234g and making 10 of these.
Heres what you do to make money with this item as an enchanter:
If you are a major farmer and have loads of
laying around create bolts of netherweave and make make as many
as you possibly can. Also if Netherweave cloth sells for low on your server, buy stacks of that if you are low on netherweave.
Next, after you have created the
disenchant them, providing you with
Greater Planar Essences
, and a chance of a
Large Prismatic Shard
. Use the arcane dusts along with more bolts of netherweave to create the
. Sell the extra Essences or use them for
if you want.
After you have created the braces disenchant them to receive a
Large Prismatic Shard
. The shards sell from anywhere between 20-30 gold each depending on your server and can bring in some major income at the cost of very little.
If you're lucky enough to have this pattern drop, and you are an enchanter to go with that Tailoring skill, prepare yourself for a virtually endless supply of cash. Let me show you the math:
Mats needed in total are:
6 Bolt of Netherweave = 36 Netherweave Cloth ~ 2 stacks of 20 (for simplicity) = 2x 3g = 6g
12 Arcane Dust = 10g
2 Rune Thread = 1g
Total mats for one pair of bracers = 17g
Now go the AH. If Large Prismatic Shards sells for for more than 20g each, you've found a way to make money. Usually shards sell for around 25g on my high-populated server, which in turn also nets lower mat pricers: when I've bought mats at the right time, I've managed a bracer-mat-price of around 13g (7,5 for the dust, 4.5g for the cloth, and around 1g for the Rune Thread) meaning I can make a profit of roughly 12g if the conditions are optimal.
Now imagine making 25 of these: 25x12 = 300g, which is roughly 15 minutes worth of shopping the Auction House, crafting, and enlisting. If you tell me there's a better way to make gold, I'd love to hear about it.
Still you need the damn pattern to drop, and it is rare. I'd run TK instances for weeks before it dropped, and I didn't even know it existed!
this pattern dropped for me in arcatraz off a random mob after the first boss
Got it from a sentinel on my first arc run. And that was two hours after my first mech run, in which I got arcano boots and robe patterns. gg.
The drop rate is not as bad as it shows above, since thottbot data is the statistics gathered from all the people, most of which are not tailors and will never see the patterns.
This recipe turns green before 365 tailoring, so it is not good for levelling to 375 on.
This pattern dropped for me on my first run (my tailoring was 343 at the time) Also on this run the whitemend legs pattern dropped. I'm also a chanter so its perfect to lvl tailoring and get shards.
