This bag is insanely good, you can have 2 of them. One in your bank, and one on you. If your a herbalist, you can basically store lots of extra herbs.
The best thing about this bag is it is very cheap to make.
As a side note, in TBC, bags for all professions become available, which i think are all 24 slots. Very nice!
The only thing I don't like about this bag is the fact that it takes up one Black Lotus, which for 4 additional bag slots doesn't make me interested enough so as to lose a flask.
I'm very happy with my 20 slot bag :)
The Satchel Of Cenarius recipe is accuired from the Cenarion Circle. You must be Exalted :). Getting this bag is pretty easy if you know someone who can make em :). I love this at it helps me carry alot of herb stockpiles on my journey !
You must be Revered with the Cenarion Circle, not Exalted, in order to purchase the recipe to craft this bag.
It is also worth noting that this is currently the largest herb bag available. Leatherworkers can make a 28-slot Mining bag (
), and tailors can make a 28-slot Enchanting bag (
). Herbalists, however, are SOL ;-)
I was wondering if Evergreen Pouch can be stored in the Satchel of Cenarius? Would be helpfull information. Thanks in before hand!
Evergreen Pouch CANNOT be stored in herb bags. The seeds and the Morrowgrain can be placed in a herb bag, but the Pouch and the Ungoro Soil cannot.
Righteous Orb seems to not be a Gem, when trying to put it in the Satchel of Cenarius you'll only get "Only Gems can be placed in that.". I really hope Blizzard can fix this.
I really hope that blizzard adds this to an Outland faction, even make it an honored Cenrion Expedition reward or something, even better make a larger bag.
Hopefully with whatever the next update will bring new profession bags (28 slot for all would be great, not just Mining or Enchanting).
Sign my petition for a new herbalism bag.
Do you have to be level 65 to USE this bag?
If you are looking to get this crafted, the total required mats would be 30 Runecloth, 4 Felcloth, 1 Black Lotus, and 4 Ironweb Spider Silk. Note that making Mooncloth is on a 24hr cooldown, so you will have to find 2 seperate tailors.
As any other
Bag of Jewels
Bag of Many Hides
Mycah's Botanical Bag
Reinforced Mining Bag
etc.), it is unique-equipped in the inventory but not in the bank, you can place as many as possible of it in the bank slots.
Note that you can't replace a normal container with any profession-bag if there is already one of the same type in the bank.
You'll have to clear the bag slot first in order to place it in there.
Note that this also holds druids Rebirth Seeds, Mote/primal Lifes, as well as various other plantlike objects such as Unidentified Plant Parts and Uncatalogued Species.
I wonder why you can´t store the other primals and motes in those herbbags as you can in the other specialisation bags. You do use them to create for instance
. As there is no Alchemy bag this should be the one as the others where you can store both Skinning and LW mats etc.
This is a vendor pattern. You can find the NPC at Cenarion Hold, and it will sell you the pattern if you are Revered with the Cenarion Circle.
1. Is there a limit to the number of bags one can own? (This item does not say Unique, but for some reason I thought it was character-limited.)
2. Does it require Herbalism to use?
3. Can it be used as a bank bag?
What that boils down to: can I fill up my bank and my mule's bank with these bags?
You can only use it for herbs. ONLY items that can be gathered using the Herbalism tradeskill... NOT items that can be created with the Alchemist tradeskill.
So Firebloom? Yes.
Goblin Rocketfuel? No.
Un'goro Soil? No.
Black Lotus? Yes.
Essences of Fire/Water/Air/etc? No.
Wild Thornroot? No.
Basically... anything that is found on this list:
Arthas Tear, Black Lotus, Blindweed, Bloodvine, Briarthorn, Bruiseweed, Dreamfoil, Earthroot, Fadeleaf, Firebloom, Ghost Mushroom, Golden Sansam, Goldthorn, Grave Moss, Gromsblood, Icecap, Khadgars Whisker, Kingsblood, Liferoot, Mageroyal, Mountain Silversage, Peacebloom, Plaguebloom, Purple Lotus, Silverleaf, Stranglekelp, Sungrass, Swiftthistle, Wild Steelbloom, Wildvine, Wintersbite.
And yes it can either be carried or used as one of your slots in your bank (replacing a normal bag slot).
Actually, the 20 slot bag holds Morrowgrain as well as the Tharlendris seeds, but as was mentioned before, not the Evergreen Pouch or the soil. I would bet this bad boy would hold morrowgrain and the seeds as well.
Katria, on Malygos, Alliance, can make this sweet bag for you.
#1 - The pattern is BoP. As with most of the faction rewards, you have to have the reputation and buy the pattern on the character that is going to use it. So
transferring to another character.
#2 - There is no "unique" stamp on the bag itself which means there is no limit to the number you can carry.
The druid combat rez's seeds can also be stored in this bag.
I have 2 bags in my bank and one on my character.
I found that I needed to do the following:
Equip the first bag, move it to the bank.
Equip the second bag, move it to the bank.
Equip the third bag and leave it on my character. Doing this I got no errors at all.
If I just tried to drop a new bag on to a bank slot I got the "You Cannot Equip More Than One Special Bag" error mentioned above.
Hope this helps.
The bag holds:
all herbs, including wildvine and morrowgrain.
druid Seeds (for resurrection) and Berries (for Gift of the wild)
Tharlendis seeds (but not the Evergreen pouch)
is it just me or did herbalists get shafted in TBC by not getting a new herb bag?
you can carry this with 28 slot mining bag, im doing it now
I completely agree. i feel bad for you herbalists. Ive got my 28 slot enchanting bag. You would think the cenarion expedition would have a pattern for a 28 available thru rep. Not many tailors are going to spend the time growing morrowgrain to bump up with the old faction, and especially on newer servers there is painfully few with the formula, and even less making it. Get on the ball blizz. 28 slots for every profession.
Well I just purchased another 1 of these bags and the system tells me I can only have 1 of these item on me. Was hoping to have one on me and one in my bank.
When did they change this setup?
What is the lowest level that can use/equip this bag? Does toon have to be a certain level as well as herbalism a certain level?
This seems to be one of the hardest to get items on newer servers that are not BoP. No tailor bothers to make them, never are there any Herb Bags in the AH, and when I ask in the Trade channel, I get ignored.
I spent in total 17g at the AH for 6 Bolts of Runecloth, a Mooncloth, and a Black Lotus.
I spent 15 to 20 minutes grinding the 4 Ironweb Spider Silk from the spiders at Western Plaguelands (at the place in the screenshot).
And finally, I paid 6g 35s for the last Mooncloth which I got from a guy I found in the Trade channel who made me the bag for free (after I gave him the mats).
So, in total, I spent around 23g and twenty minutes of grinding to make this bag. Pretty good deal if you consider how much it's worth! I did this on the Black Dragonflight (US) server.
Ok my lock just learnt the pattern - took me approx 3 levels (from 57 something till way past 60) of doing Silithus quests and farming Twilights.
That's no instances, no rest time, etc.
It's quite a pain, no Twilight texts available at affordable prices on AH so I did it the old fashioned way - grinding for like half a week. It _is_ possible after the patch but prepare for a lot of frustration - or better still twist a herbalist friend's wrist to help you grind the reputation.
After all, the bag sells at enormous prices (in my opinion) - 100+ g on Wildhammer - my friends were more then willing to help me grind provided I'll make them the first bags :)
But I doubt I want to see Silithus in the next year or so :D
Note: It DOES carry Mote of Life and Primal life now.
I was considering getting this until I saw it was only 24 slots. Doesn't seem worth the trouble since Primal Mooncloth is only 4 less and holds anything.
All gathering bags should be 28, damn jip!
This is odd. I seem to recall that this bag has been BoP, IOW only of interest to people that are both tailors and herbalists, or people that are tailors with herbalist alts.
Now I see it is BoE. Has this really always been like this?
Youre wrong, its always been BOE :)
The bag also holds the seed of life from the quest seed of life in Maraudon. Also if I remember correctly it also holds the seeds that druids use for their spells that are bought from the reagent vendor. But I KNOW it holds the seed of life because I got it last night and it went right in my cenarion herb bag.
If anyone on the Forgotten Coast (Alliance) can make this, I will pay highly! I'm Amarius on that server.
You might have to remove everything from the bag in the bag slot you want to equip this bag in before it lets you equip it. You can equip more than one of these bags.
If anyone can make this on Stormrage I'd like to buy one. I'm "Odius" on the alliance side and "Maturin" on the horde side. I'd really appreciate it.
If anyone on Kargath can make this, let me know.
I can make these on Dentarg.
Send a tell to Matildae in game if you're interested :)
You can't put Fish or fish oils in it (Blackmouth, etc), Mistletoe, volatile rum, and surprisingly you can't put heart of the wild in there either.
I was hoping the fish oils would go in, but whatever.
all herbs, even Morrowgrain
Non herb alchemy materials (elemental earth, arcane crystals, etc.)

What rep is needed to make this?
