This is a huge pain to get but definitely worth it. It drops off of a summoned boss in LBRS for the .5 quest line. The only way to summon him is to have someone who was assigned the kill quest (must do 2 of 4 possible quests -- so not everyone will get this quest in thier .5 line) or find someone who has completed the entire .5 quest line. As the .5 quest line is pretty painful, it might be hard to find someone who is able (and willing) to help you farm this item. The 10% drop rate makes it even worse. GOOD LUCK!
I recommend doing a stealth run for this idol. Get 2 druids and a couple of rogues together and head down to kill War Master Voone -- he drops some nice rogue things as well, so this shouldnt be a problem. You could have one druid tank and the other heal, or have the rogues stun him constantly while the two druids heal. Afterwards, get the person who has finished the tier .5 quests to summon Mor Grayhoof. Then voila! Rinse and repeat until both druids have their idol.
In Outlands, there's an upgrade for this you'll get as part of a level 64 quest.
A short video of this fun fight can be found at
, a ghost druid boss found in LBRS that can only be summoned during the .5 quest or after completion with an item rewarded. Talk about a pain.
this item should be : Class : druid.
kinda odd that it isnt
Is the item required to summon him part of the tier .5 quest for all classes (I haven't really looked into the quests at all so I don't know if any parts are class specific) or can any class summon him. I personally am not doing the upgrades from wildheart to feralheart but I have some in my guild (no druids) that are running through the upgrade process and I am sure they would be willing to run and summon him if possible.
Don't worry guys, pretty much all of these summoned mobs are repeatable, even if you finish the quest. Generally you just go back to the quest giver and they will give you the items you need to summon the mob again. As well, anyone can roll on their drops, regardless of whether you actually have the quest. So, if you dont wanna do the whole chain, just go find someone who is on that step and take them with you.
In the new Tier .5 quest line, you have to summon two bosses in existing instances: DM East, Scholo, LBRS, Scarlet Strat and UBRS. It's random as far as which one you have to summon except for the final one in UBRS.
Either do the quests yourself, catch someone on this step and tag along, or find someone who has done all the quests, as you get a brazier at the end to summon any of them as many times as you want.
This drops from Mor Grayhoof in Voone's room in LBRS.
Do steps 1, 2 and 3 in Dungeon Set 2 questline.
Step 4 starts you off purchasing a Hallowed Brazier from the Argent Dawn for the quest Three Kings of Flame.
Upon completion, you will receive the Brazier of Beckoning, which can be used to summon Mor Grayhoof in Lower Blackrock Spire.
Mor can be a difficult boss...He's essentially a druid with infinite mana. He goes through four different forms, in this order:
Caster form - He casts heals on himself in this form, and switches into it after taking some damage in each of his other forms. He has a moonfire spam that will hit everybody nearby him, and a hurricane which will do LOTS of damage. Keep non-melee people in the other room, so they're out of range of his AoEs. When he begins chanelling hurricane, everybody including the tank should immediately move out of range. Having a druid tank here has a big benefit...A druid tank has time to switch to caster and heal himself while Mor is busy with hurricane.
Bear form - Essentially the same as druid bear form. He uses demoralizing roar and has high armor, making DOTs the best way to attack him in this form. He'll drop into caster, heal himself, use his moonfire spam, then throw down a hurricane.
Cat form - Again, just like druid cat form. High damage, low armor. Load on the melee and spell DPS until he drops into caster again. He will, again, heal himself, moonfire spam, hurricane.
Faerie dragon form - His last form. Didn't observe any real special abilities in this form, so just keep loading on the DPS. When he is in this form, you know he is about ready to die.
this adds bout +11 to your rejuv per tic, which is nice, since rejuv is the main spell i use when healin for AQ/BWL.
Rogues better kick his heals, if you let him heal once your toast, did it as a 1/14/35 druid (tanking and healing) with a full resto druid healing. three rogues as his aoe moonfire requires getting him down fast. Started out with both druids healing as rogues dps'd their little hearts out, feint'ing/evasion when they were low on health, switching aggro to the other two. When you get low on mana innervate the healer, bearform and have at it. you need to tank through catform as the rogues cant tank him during his high dps phase. Demoralizing roar, then save your rage for frenzied regen. After that, just try to save your growl's till somebody's low on hp and your healed up. Also try to maintain enough rage for mass taunt, as your regular taunt may be in cooldown at a time you need it. He's tough in a stealth group, but it's the best way to farm him consistantly as the drop rate sucks. He dropped only the mace a couple times in a row, Which is actually a decent rogue offhand. LBRS stealth runs ftw. Best way to get your UBRS keys too.
got it on my second run when I was frapsing, unfortunately I thought it'd take a lot more than just two runs so cut fraps off before checking loot... oops.
Just got this 4 manned.
-Resto Druid (Me)
Really easy fight. Just move away from the Hurricane.
Got it on my first try.
This only has a 25% drop rate like to offhand. Other than those 2, he drops a 1h mace, which has a 50% Drop rate...you are more likely to get the 1h mace than this or the offhand.
i got the idole in LBRS from the druid !
i'm actualy lvl57 and dont even have my full t0 ! but a friend had to do the t .5 quest and i was the only druid ! kinda lucky ^^
This idol is -amazing- for a resto druid. My rejuvenation ticks for nearly 300. Easy to get, just takes a lot of dedication. You can clear to Voone in a few pulls by either dropping down to the Blackrock Orc pit or going around the left side and then jumping into the troll room.
Can be stealthrunned with 3 druids. One tanking, one healing, one charging when he wants to heal.
We farmed this with 3 rogues and 2 druids. We had the two druids healing and I was tanking. I'm a combat swords 20/31/0 Rogue.
After about 5 or 6 runs... the idol never dropped. I don't think it's really a 40% drop rate.
The trick to fighting this boss is to have the tank stand in the little room with the boss and have the healers stand outside the doorway. Don't bother with Evasion until she goes into cat form. Also, every time the boss uses the thunderstorm AoE, run out of the room until it clears (this includes the tank) then resume.
Sry just woundering what teir 0 or .r quest u were talking about and the link to the start of this quest. Thanks
Learning to read would really be a benefit for some people, I see.
Helmet of the New Moon adds +23 damage and healing, meaning it does +23 to the max amount your Rejuv heals, not per tick. Combined with the Idol, means your Rejuv heals +73 more, not a bad amount indeed.
And of course, since it's a blank +damage/healing, it'll affect all your spells, Wrath, Starfire, Healing Touch etc.
But as another is an idol, and the other is a head armour, no reason why you couldn't have both.
A previous poster said that he doesn't appear to do anything of note when he's in faerie dragon form. This is NOT TRUE. He REFLECTS spells in this form. Trust me, I reflected a crit fireball back onto myself tonight and set myself on fire. >.<
Also... is it true that when I finish this quest, I'll be able to summon him at any time? We had this item drop for us tonight while killing Mor and our only active 60 druid wasn't with us. He's resto, so I'd like to know that once I'm done with this chain, I can go back with him and get this drop for him.
And btw, yes, it is DE-able.
If he doesn't drop the Idol of Rejuvenation when you kill him, can you summon him again immediately or do you have to reset the instance first?
reset and do it again.
However, I'm starting to wonder if he ever drops it. 20 times now and nothing. Have gotten everything else but the stupid idol.
Harold's Rejuvenating Broach
6 immolthar and 3 gandling kills under my belt no signs of relic in my groups and no signs of relic on the server, still searching though
I'm 99% sure I've figured this out. Do steps 1, 2 and 3 in the wowwiki.
Step 4 starts you off getting a
will eventually lead you to the Brazier of Beckoning
is needed to summn Mor G so you can get the IDOL OF REJUVENATION to drop off of her.
So, step 1, bracers:
a. Silithus/Winterspring grind - quest-chain starts in Thrall's Chamber/IF throne room.
step 2, belt, gloves:
b. Ganketzan for Mux's Mats - grind Silithus, Winterspring and EPL
c. BS for Magma Lord Bokk.
step 3, pants, shoulders and boots NECESSARY:
e. 45min strat run
f. DM library - possible to run in without stealth, solo
g. grind DM or BRS ogres
h. DMW grind ghosts
i. BRD event
j. turn in Wildcrap Pants, Shoulders, and Boots
jj. hit up Bodley outside (?) BRS - or near the entrance anyway...
kill Lord Incedius in Blackrock Depths
l. Pyroguard Emberseer in Blackrock Spire and
m. The Duke of Cynders in Silithus.
n. *I DON'T THINK* that it's necessary to turn in the step 4 wildcrap set pieces, but I may be wrong. I frequently am.
LF print screen of the actuall loots and confirmation of where it drops b4 i even go look for it :P
Haven't dropped in 17 goddamn runs -.-
Unless someone really knows how to mess with alla's code I'm going with the Mor Grayhoof thing.
Only question is, do you have to do all the previous Feralheart steps in order to be able to summon him/her?
Farmed Mor Grayhoof last weekend with 2 Rogues, 3 Druids (1 changed later). Equipped all 4 Druids with this idol in less than 20 runs.
Mor Grayhoof is a dream of a druid. <3 that sprite darter feral form. ;)
Droprate of about 10% is likely although we were pretty lucky that day by getting twice a drop on two runs in a row.
NE1 knows if they are going to "fix" the changeabilty of idols while beeing infight? Switching idols for specific actions makes them a lot more worthy.
On casting rejuvenation: Equip Idol of Rejuv
On casting Healingtouch: Equip Idol of Health
On shapeshift - catform: Equip Idol of Ferocity
Gives you full advantage of all 3 idols.
@Blizz: Don't forget to include craftable 26-Slot-Idolbags when more get available! ;)
Good luck on farming this - fighting Mor is quite fun!
damn, for u people saying its been takeing u 20 times, and still havent seen it, i feel sorry for u
a couple of guildies of mine, and some random feral druid we picked up, got this to drop in 3 runs
i was so happy when i got this, now i just need to get my rejuve book out of aq20, and i will be set
Dropp by Immol'thar in Dire Maul West afaik. Atm no information about droppchance.

Can anyone on Twilight's hammer summon this boss? If so plz contact Teddybear ingame
Who drop it
Is it sure it drops on this boss ? I didn't plan on getting the Tier 0.5 but if it's the only way to get this Idol, I'll do it, but I have to make sure I'll get it.. I mean 100% drop rate ? Or is it possible to ressumon the boss after the quest done ?
He must be summoned in LBRS in Voone's room
Epiced out combat rogue and my not-so-epiced druid who was 14/32/5 feral at the time were able to duo Voone and Mor Grayhoof consistently. On Voone, I needed no consumables. On Mor Grayhoof, I needed to use night dragon's breath and major mana potions, but if I were a restore spec that would not be needed. You only need to kill Voone and Mor Grayhoof in a stealth run, so it doesn't take too long to try.
To begin the encounter, have the rogue take him to the northwest corner and the druid go to the southeast corner. This avoids the druid being hit by any and all aoe, which saves lots of mana.
Successfully duoing him assumes you both know how to play your classes and the druid will judge properly when to heal to conserve mana and not overheal, and the rogue will pop evasion at the correct time (either when he's in Bear or Cat form) and of course interrupt the heal spells. It isn't easy by any means.
We died a couple times figuring out how to do it effectively, and it didn't drop in around 17 kills, but we found out you can do it with just two players. It's kind of like how farming Hand of Justice used to be really, except harder.
EDIT: Got it. Was around 24 kills in total. Probably extremely bad luck on my part.

How much would you charge for the "farming" of this idol. I have the brazier and was thinking of going into business.

Greyhoofis a summoned boss for feralheart in BRS. you get the quest to summon him from a ghost in BRM. this is pretty far in the feralheart quest chain and a signifigant monetary investment for 1 druid.
what my guild and I are doing is supporting the 1 guy who wants to do the feralheart suit and we will just keep respawning the guy to get idols.
apparently you summon the guy near Voone in LBRS
Edited, Sat Apr 1 17:47:50 2006
None has got this yet? =( I rly want it, plz confirm where it drops a%^&
I got mine 1st kill from ghost druid Mor Grayhoof
He is summoned almost near completion of the 4th part of the armour quest
The Feralheart armour is very nice for a feral druid im very happy with mosst of it for my alt.
Once someone has completed the quest they can summon any of the bosses at will, the BRD 5 man party the part one and part two "random" bosses and the big bad boy at the end
How hard is Mor Grayhoof to kill? Can a couple geared druids stealth to Voones room and Summon this guy?
This "boss" can only be summoned with an item you get when u finish the WHOLE, dungeon set 1 upgrade chain quest, he's not in instance... believe me, you dont wanna do that just for this idol... so better get someone to summon you. He's summoned in the Warmaster Voone's chamber.
Hopes this helps u out.
I have been on about 15-20 runs to try to get this idol. Does this item not drop if you are in a raid group as opposed to a 5 man group?
Someone tell me if they got this when they were in a raid group. I saw a post farther down the line saying it would only drop 5 man, but I didn't think that was true. Anyway let me know.
This info comes from Lectos <Righteous Hope> on Stormrage. Cheers mate.
1. someone has to have completed their .5 tier quest line, doesn't matter who or what class. Completing this questline involves a VERY hard raid boss at the beast in brs. He said they had 10 bwl-geared guys who got smoked the first time(s?).
2. once you completed that q-line you can summon any of the ghosts for any of the class-related stuff.
3. the drop rate is A LOT LESS than the 40% that's stated up at the top of this page. more like 2% or somesuch (I secretly hope he just got unlucky).
4. SUMMARY: find someone who's completed their .5 tier q-line. bribe them to come with you. summon the ghost druid Mor Grayhoof. kill ghost druid. rinse and repeat. no idea if you can just stay there in the room and repeat ad nauseaum, but w/e.
Does the instance have to be reset each time or can you summon Mor Grayhoof over and over in the same instance? A fellow guildy(Mage) has completed the tier .5 questline so I was hoping we didnt have to clear to Voone's room over and over to get this idol to drop.

i killed immol'thar 4 times yesterday and didnt get a drop. i think they guy talkin about raiding scholo is FoS because Scholo isnt raidable anymore
on a side note, a group from my guild killed headmaster twice last night and no relic dropped
Edited, Fri Mar 31 15:48:36 2006
The DROP RATE is significantly lower than the 40% originally reported by allakhazam.
According to Lectos, this is probably doable in a stealth run with 2 druids and 3 rogues.
One of the people in your group has to have completed the entire tier .5 set - then they can summon at will, but you have to reset the instance to summon again. It took Lectos 14 runs to get his Idol of Rejuvenation.
Oh yeah, one more thing. Lectos said it's not a good idea to trigger your ZHC and hit Mor G with Starfire while in magic reflect mode. It kinda hurts, apparently.
any1 that been able to get this item from "Immol'thar" yet that could tell how many kills it took u?
where does is dropp now ... ?
It drops from Mor Grayhoof in lbrs.
He is a summoned boss, and part of the armour upgrade.
After you finish the chain, you can summon him as much as you like
In a raid and a druid beat me out of it. In scholo off the headmaster.
Edited, Fri Mar 31 17:36:15 2006
ok i got a question of what u can read from this page:
u need to go as far as "1.4.2 Random Kill/Boss Quest"
now to my question.
does this random boss kill mean if im unlucky i wont get the right guy to summon? or does it change depending on whos doing the quest? for example if a warrior get to this part hes supposed to go example to brd? and only druids get the quest to summon this guy?
the reason im asking this is cus we have a warrior in our guild and we been thinking of boosting him through all the quests so he get to this part. cus he still has hes full tier 0.
if its not same quest for warrior then some of us druids have to go gather our full set :/
any1 that got any info about this?
Edited, Sun Apr 2 11:46:02 2006
is it definetly that you can summon him as often as you want after completing the quest or is the item to summen deleted by finishing the quest?
My char: Hopesfall, lvl60 mage.
I actually NEED to keep sumonning him, because the quest item that i need seems to have low drop chance too, so if you got group (10 man recommended, hes HARSH for LBRS, easily the hardest mob in there)... ill go, just whisper me.
Already killed him like 3 times.

Anyone know where this drop?
This has not been confirmed to drop off Immolthar yet. And with a massive amount of druids farming DM West since the first blurb about the relic dropping there, and Alla listing that only one has dropped, im willing to bet it does not drop in DM West at all. It might not even drop in any of the DM's. I did 3 Wests yesterday and no idol. I'm sure I will do more today just because of the hype.
Ok sorry for not wording it the right way...
Another Druid beat me out of it in scholo. Have you seen it drop? No..ok didn't think so.
I assume he's the third random boss that can be summoned.
Was it in ubrs or lbrs? =P And exact location?
As per the blue post about content phases, this will only be introduced in Phase 5 as part of the loot revamp.
Dungeon Set 2
is aquired through a fairly lengthy, somewhat difficult and expensive quest chain through which you upgrade
Dungeon Set 1
which is one part of the chain, you will recieve
The manual describes where the brazier can be used to summon a variety of bonus bosses with rare loot in the following dungeons:
BRAZIER OF INVOCATION: USER'S MANUAL - Where to find Haunted Loci
"The open-aired chamber where
resides is one of these haunted loci."
"Should you seek to raise the echo of Mor Grayhoof's spirit,
's chamber is a haunted location."
appears after defeating
"Thus it is that another of these haunted loci is The Crimson Throne (
's room) inside The Scarlet Bastion at Stratholme."
's chamber one of the haunted locations where the brazier can be successfully utilized."
"As you must know, this makes Lord Valthalak's abode, what is now
's chamber in Blackrock Spire, the last of the haunted locations."
