This is really pissing me off. As a pally tank, there's no better bracers. And since the bracers from Kara are warrior-class, I can't use them either.
So yes, it's Junior Techs after the nerf. Too bad I disenchanted them.
I suggest everyone affected by this should make a post against it on Blizz forums. This is just too much to nerf the only good PvE armorsmith craftables.
Not so fast. 2.0.10 PTRs readjusted Junior Technician 3rd Grade Bracers. 24 stamina, not 42. Apparently they made a typo on the green, and we now have a reason to like Bracers of the Green Fortress again.
for non-raiders these are best atm ( except the one's from chest in heroic HFR, but not all run heroics as well .. I don't for example ;) )
He's probably talking about
, which aren't bad, but definately not better than the green fortress bracers.
I can craft this on Bloodscalp, Horde. Character name: Shizusuki
As a Paladin tank, after securing 15+ Dodge, 15% Parry, and 20% block (50% mitigation) and 490 defense, your next concern is maxing your HP to around 11,000 unbuffed. Bracers like these are excellent for paladin tanks for this reason. Don't forget the 12 stam enchant!
These ARE the bracers of choice for a paladin tank. Once you hit 70 you should start working towards them IMMEDIATELY, because you are not going to find better, not even in Karazhan.
These are probably the best bracers you can get... Although these might be better for AE tanking:
Just whant to add my opinion:
These bracers are worth getting, some players say all the time that its a "small upgrade" to some blue item.
Please think 1 step longer...
Maybe whit 1 item like this its not that much diffrent but say that you have 3-4 epics that are superior to the blue ones.. that will make a diffrense, that will give you that for example more + shield block, dodge, hp,parry, defense. you need.
For example on raids, every small upgrade makes a big diffrence in the long run..
" its the small things that does it."
I got almost all BS plans now, and made the tanking gear.. and i say.. this item truely makes a its part when it comes to endgame instances and heroic dungeons.
so see not a item only as what it is..a small upgrade.. but see the full advantege whit a item like this on your setup.
//Zitoc - Ravencrest
Raw materials needed for this item are...
200 Motes of Life(for the 20 Primal Life)
120 Adamantite Ore(for the 60 Adamantite Bars which you smelt into the 6 Hardened Adamantite Bars)
1 Primal Nether(runs 100 gold on US Kil'Jaeden Alliance)
Happy farming! I enjoyed AoE grinding the Fungal Giants/Bog Lords in Southwest Zangarmarsh as a Prot Paladin the best for the Primals. Just avoid the Starving ones, they stack a debuff that hurts bad(it eats up my Mana Cleansing it, and it hurts even more if you don't Cleanse it).
These are still good for the dodge rating, but for raw stamina, tankadins are now encouraged to grab Vambraces of Courage (
) from Attumen, in Kara. Vambraces have had the 'Warrior Only' restriction lifted. They also have more armour, now.
These fine tanking bracers cost about 500G (200G for Nether and 100G crafting fee. ><) for me. I had them crafted after realizing it may be awhile until I see another Epic tanking bracer. Also, before crafting these a tank may want to farm Heroic Hellfire Ramparts and get
(Vambraces of Daring). They dropped for me a week after I had these crafted and now I am torn between the two. I stuck with the Green Fortress due to the fact that I spent 500G and farmed for them.
Whilst these were one of the best options for tanking outside of the 25-man raids (being on par with the bracers from Attumen and better than any of the heroic or 5man drops), the 2.3 patch now brings the following bracers:
available for only 35 badges of justice. With Expertise heavily boosting threat as well as acting as a form of mitigation by reducing Parry (which causes a mob to swing faster) the heroic badge bracers are now clearly the favored option. Unless you have the mats for the Green Fortress kicking around and money to burn I would recommend saving the money, using some blue tanking bracers to run some heroics and spending 35 badges on the Ancient Phalanx, as they're not only better than the green fortress by a long way, they're also better than most of the 25 man epics.
120 Adamantite ores
200 Mote of lifes
one of those heroic things wich name i forgot a second ago
In total, if you farm your own motes, and farm your own ores, it only costs around 50-200g on my server (around 100g fee ^_^).
This is a crafted item, but where does the recipe drop? Or can I buy it?
These are a nice looking set of bracers...can someone on Rexxar send me a tell or mail me (Chancelot/Alliance) if you can craft them? I am sick of the adamantite set that I am wearing now.
Thundertoe <United Strength>
I can craft these on Bonechewer, alliance side. Of course Horde could be worked out, with some difficulty through the BB AH.
Best way to contact me is PM or on my guild forum.
in the next patch the stamina ofem is nerfed to 24 not 42 stamina !
you can view who can craft this on your realm or add yourself as a crafter.
Equip: Increases defense rating by 14.
Junior Technician 3rd Grade Bracers:
Bracers are now better IMO. The old stats at least had a lot more stam.
Holy stamina batman.
Warriors getting nerfed in one way or another... sigh...

(Or 500g with my nether)
Looking for a Crafter on Cenarius, Horde Side.

crafting it on frostwhisper (eu)
Used to be:
14 defense rating
Compared to the now:
17 defense rating
So 26 more armor, 3 more defense, 10 more strength, 18 less stamina
green quest bracers. Something seems wrong.
The junior tech bracers will be nerfed to 24 stamina,so Green Fortress will be the BEST tank bracers after the patch.
I have seen this item in the AH and had it linked to me by somone who can craft it and the stat that thott. posted above are the same as i saw
really for the primal nether involved may not be worth the hassle as there is other bracers with + to block with a few less armor and 9 less stam that would be just as good outta kara
What will be the best enchant of for thees ?
dont forget that in addition to getting dodge rating the extra defense also increase both dodge and parry %. With a +12 def enchant you have a pretty nifty tanking bracer. and 100-200hp to and fro is sometimes a matter of life and death but so is parry / dodge so in the end it can be hard to tell which ever will benefit the most.
in the end if i have 300 hp left and get hit by a raid boss im FCKD
if i have 50 hp left and hav increased parry /dodge i will atleast have a slight chance of survival. til next heal.
Block Rating SUCKS for raiding. Better to dodge that 2k damage than to scrape a couple hundred off of it. And I am glad the Area 52 bracers are getting a nerf, they were better than any blue tanking bracer.
I'm not so sure I can fork over the money for these though... Can anyone suggest a good tanking bracer besides these?
These are better for Raiding than the bracers of Attumen.
Dodge is far more important facing the 25er-Content-Melee-Bosses like Gruul or Magtheridon.
It doesn't matter if you block 300 or 400 dmg off from a 12.000er hit from Gruul after 14 Stacks. Only keep Block up to avoid crushings.
What matters is that you don't get two-hitted. You don't achieve that per block. And there should be no aggro problems with these bosses as well.
Of course in heroics, Karazhan or 25er Trash / Fast-Attack-Speed-Lower-Damge-Bosses block might be superior. But you usually won't be in a fight for your life in these situations.
So - if you chose, chose dodge - better: take both.
A good tank should have various items for various situations and permanently adjust for best fitting the current encounter.
i agree with kochira and the other fella who said so below him. block value has its place, but it is not going to relieve the beating you may take in a one on one with a boss fight. i try to go in to a boss fight with 20% ish on block, dodge, and parry. i can get 24.5% block up but dodge and parry fall to 18% apiece. Thanks to Kochira and that other guy. good to see there is some good advice in thott for prot warriors yet.
Personally I think block is better for end lvl raiding than dodge. Yes dodge will give you less dmg but it also generates less threat than a block and less rage. (admitted in end lvl tanking rage normally aint the problem). So yes the healers will need to heal you a bit more, but the mob will have less chance of getting loose. And in the end that is what tanking is about, making sure the mob is on ur plate ass instead of the whee poor little clothies.
Only my opinion ofc.
ps. Very neat bracers though =P
Allso very easy to make, farm some primal life in the dead mire (northeast part of zangarmarsh) and create adamantite with mining / smelting... if you are not a miner buy them on ah
these are good for tanks lacking in avoidance, mainly paladin tanks, since they are generally harder to reach uncrushable with
Is there anyone on Rexxar (alliance) that can craft these? I am sick of my damn adamanite bracers and want some real tank bracers. PST or mail Chancelot, please.
where do i get this, or who do i get it from
