Drops off Keli'dan the Breaker in Blood Furnace on Heroic Mode.
Shares the same cooldown as:
Abacus of Violent Odds:
Edit: I am curious though how effective reducing 600 armor is, can anyone give numbers?
the damage increase you would get from removing 600 armor depends entirely on how much armor they had to begin with. If you use this on someone that only had 600 armor to begin with, it will increase your damage much more than if it's used on someone with thousands of armor. The same reason why expose armor for rogues gives a much bigger boost when used on cloth / leather than it does on a warrior / druid
this trinket is pure pwnage for the +hit for fury warriors. I'm going to be using this to get more DPS out of my tier 4 because I'll be able to stack it with strength gems instead of +hit.
This trinket is good with the improved Sub Rogue talent (removes -560 armor). Use this with the passive talent, and clothies without buffs have 0 armor, which is quite nice. +Hit is always good to have, so this is a decent trinket.
As an ENH Shaman, I would only use this for the hit rating. The 600 armor reduction is not that big of an increase in DPS and there are much better trinkets out there for the ENH shaman. I currently use Abacus of Violent Odds and Romeo's Poison Vial, the vial hits for about 400-500 when Stormstrike is active, and the abacus is amazing when paired with Berserking (Troll Racial), Bloodlust, Mongoose, Blackout Truncheon proc, Flurry, and Shamanistic Rage. You just dont lose mana with my current trinkets.
Do druid benefit as greatly as dual wield classes on hit rating?
Druids need approx. 8.6% +hit to not miss. Considering the lack of hit rating on pure feral druid gear and the priority rogues should get on trinkets like the Tsunami talisman, this trinket seems like a good choice to fill the gap.
Does anyone know if this would stack with the 4-piece set bonus of the Beast Lord Armor set?
Hmmm, using the mitigation calculation I found on wowwiki
1600 - 1000 -> 4.5% reduction in mitigation
3600 - 3000 -> 3.3%
8600 - 8000 -> 1.8%
14600 - 14000 -> 1%
24000 - 24600 -> 0.5%
Not sure what typical boss ac is in TBC. pre-TBC it was in the 3-6k range.
Since the possible nerf to melee haste ratings in patch 2.2 (
), would this possibly be more beneficial than the Abacus of Violent Odds? I don't know anything about theorycrafting, so does anyone know if someone has worked out the math yet?
Whats better Romulus Poison vial procc or this use effect?
Romulo's Vial is passive (proc), has +35 Hit Rating and there are better "on use" trinket effects.
For a warrior, this could be useful on a boss within execute range. Since, execute is not affected by attack power or weapon damage, lowering armor is the only means of increasing execute damage.
This is on my wishlist as a Prot warrior.
2% increased chance to hit is a significant amount, and combined with Romulo's Poison Vial (
), I'd be looking at 4.3% chance to hit, which is quite nearly enough to never miss a special attack or white damage swing. A very effective tool for achieving consistent threat generation, considering it's coming entirely from two trinket spots.
The on-use effect, if applied somewhat creatively, can be a useful threat generation mechanism as well. Used after a full Sunder Stack is applied, and used with an excess of rage, 20 seconds of armor penetration could add up to a large amount of additional threat.
well what im reading comments here im just amazed...warrior needing on +hit when they can get gem or 2 for it? and as prot?
warriors doesnt really need that much hit to begin with as prot. mainy sta def rate block rate parry rate dodge rate and resilience in some cases if you got all those looking good.
hunters also are same fixed ammount hit and rest to crit + ap + agi +int. mainly ap and crit (with agi and crit rate / ap).
in my eyes, this trinket would be pure combat rogue trinket, as combat is all about hit rate (atleast my self id give priority for rogues on this). the higher hit = more dps + more proc chances with weapon enchants + more chance to proc combat potency with oh. wich is why rogues as combat usually tries to cap their hit rate. this and romulo's poison vial is best combination for rogues to use as combat specced to get their hit as high as possible. also the use is quite nice also for some extra dps.
The reason protection warriors would want +hit is because it makes us more reliable. Worst case is a resisted taunt, which can mean the death of an over-eager DPS.
Protection warriors need the the same amount of hit as everyone else not dual wielding. +hit and +expertise are tanking stats.
Ever wonder why that tank you grouped with has worse threat than others? It's probably because he's missing his special attacks half the time. Hit is definitely important for protection warriors, it is not a stat you should prioritize over other things, but nonetheless, still important.
Although, with the addition of expertise, that kind of edges out hit, but still.. both are still very useful.
I'am still waiting for further information about this trinket
got this one tonight, but dont really see any use for it..
Got enough hit rating for pvp and 600 armor aint that much to use up a trinket slot!
Anyways.. when you use it, you get a buff for 15 sec which ignores 600 armor on the target when used. Stacks with any other armor reductions
Drops of Keli'dan in furnace on heroic, got it today, its ok but nothing special.
Anyone happen to know where this item drops/quest reward its from?
Good for rogues and fury warriors. Though hit isnt a big problem for fury warriors questing around that I've noticed so far. I just use
Terokkar Tablet of Precision
This trinket drops on Heroic Blood Furnace, from Keli'dan the Breaker, the last boss.
Not really armor ignore benifets warriors,rogues,shammys,pallies,hunters, basically any phyiscal damage class
Would this stack with the beast lord 4 piece set bonus?
Can some one give me some numbers on how much more dmg this would let some one do
As armor gives you diminishing returns (as you gain more and more armor that extra mitigates less and less damage), this trinket will scale up in value as you gain more and more +ignore armor stats from Season 3 arena or Tier 3 gear. Add the fact that this trinket has +hit rating, a fury warriors favorite stat:) and bam! Very nice trinket indeed, one that will only get more valuable after patch 2.3. For many builds having 2 blue trinkets will benefit you more than blowing thousands of gold on Darkmoon Cards or the Heroic Badges for Bloodlust Brooch.
Let me provide an example: Your new Executioner enchant you put on your Main Hand procs; what a perfect time to use this trinket, instant ignore 1440 armor! That's as much armor as a squishy has! So about a 12% dps boost against a clothy. Nice arena possibilities here:)
Ok...possibly a nubsausage question here, but would it be silly to ask if you could actually get two of these and equip them both? I mean, it doesnt say unique.....and my warrior has 2 of the Darkmoon cards that have the +51 stamina on them equipped....so I am curious if 2 of these can be equpiied at the same time as well.
if you look, it does say unique. XD
i just got this because nobody wanted it. with my beast lord set, dory's embrace, and vidicator ring i ignore approx 1350 less armor. i think that is equal to about 13% more dps. nice to play around with but a warror/rogue with veng. gear would make better use i think.
This trinket, with its higher than usual +hit, is ideal for any dual wielding class. It is particularly useful to Hemo rogues who already have a decent amount of passive armor penetration.
The 10-13% armor ignore only works when taking on like a clothie, or maybe a rogue, For warriors or Druid tanks, its like 1k armor? what a joke, my favorite was this druid from my guild made the comment
"LIKE OMGZ I JUST LOST 1K Of my 24k Armor"
So, its useful for burning down squishies and maybe bosses which i think have a default armor of 5k?
If a rogue or fury warrior decided to stack ignore armor effects this trinket suddenly becomes nearly legendary in quality.
I think your lol druid friend needs to understand stacking armor penalties...
840 - main hand executioner
840 - offhand executioner
350 - veng glad set bonus
2050 - expose armor
600 - trinket
4680 armor penalty makes a feral druid or a veng ms war = an undergeared prot war.... add slice and dice and your so leet feral druid just got wtf pwned.
Do main and offhand executioners stack together or refresh the debuff?
Also, if you're a hemo rogue you can add in 560+ armor ignore from serrated blades.
Executioner can't stack twice on top of itself. If you dual wielded it, a second proc would only refresh the duration of the buff.
There are only 2 level 70 hit trinkets available in early TBC and this is one of them. The other is a rare drop from a rare spawn in Karazhan. If you aren't lucky enough to get Romulo's Poison Vial, then this is the best hit trinket you can get.
Warrior tanks especially will want this.
