Anyone know if this is broken. I just got it and casted over 200 spells without a single proc.
Works fine for me. Just got it about 2 hours ago, and it's proc'd at least four times since. It has the same animation as the Zandalarian Hero Charm.
The proc rate seems very low indeed.
Has anyone noticed if it takes account, whether you are using instant casting spells or spells with longer cast time?
The data says 10% chance
dropped on 2/15/07 for me
still appears to be bugged, no proc :'(
(edit: proc'd once in over 200+ more heals)
What's the point of +spirit when you're casting?. It seems worthless
Maybe I'm wrong but I watched closely the last 10 procs and it only proc'd from crits, I'll keep watching :)
ive been noticing it procs more. maybe its fixed. dunno
/confirmed 'proc on crits'
Buff is called "Juliet's Robe Spirit Buff"... Really imaginative there, Blizzard. Seems it does proc on crits, so I guess its either bugged or the description is wrong.
Ok Confirmed by a GM that this is on the list of items to be fixed for the next patch. I was not able to find out how it will be fixed. ie. Tooltip update (crap fix) or the proc sorted out (good fix).
Just passed on this as it is a downgrade to my socketed Hallowed Garments
. Yet another piece of Kara gear notably inferior to 5-man blues. The sheer loss of stats that I would incur alone is reason enough to keep my old gear, not to mention the disabling of my meta gem for lack of any socket.
Got this for my druid tonight from Karazhan, did some small testing (repeatedly casting out spells until OOM, regenerate and repeat) on how and on what does it proc.
I was able to proc it on Regrowth, but not on instants Lifebloom or Rejuvenation (with probably some 300 casts on those two, combined). Procs just on spells with casting time, or just with very low rate? More testing with those two spells to follow.
The proccing Regrowth was normal, not critical (almost sure of this). With critrate of ~50% on it, I would think the effect of crit on chance to proc either doesn't exist, or is negligible. More test on this later.
All in all, if the proc rate were higher, I would think this to be pretty good druid healing piece. Mainly for it's mana regen potential: say the proc rate were high enough to make you fairly certain that you have decent chance of a proc during average length boss fight, and could throw in Innervate to benefit from the +145 spirit.
The Bug where it can only proc on crits still exists in 2.0.12
New bug report thread:
As a Holy Priest with +35% healing from Spirit, this proc yields +50 healing. Thus I gain +132 healing from this robe for the duration of the proc, not to mention the regen I will gain from Meditation.
Proc is beign fixed in 2.1
Quoting this from the thread linked above:
"It's fixed. Problem now is that its 1 proc max per minute Instant casts, etc proc it, and the first proc comes rather quick, its just you can't get it again for a minute."
If this is true, then it'll average out to around 30 spirit over longer fights. The fact that its a whole lot of spirit for 15 seconds has its advantages and disadvantages; you can get unlucky with procs and not have it proc, but when you do get one you can use abilities, trinkets etc to maximise the mana you get back from the big boost in spirit. Assuming you don't cast for the entire duration of the proc, it will return around 270 mana to a priest or a druid, although obviously this isn't always going to be possible. All in all its a decent robe now that its been fixed - not great, but its an upgrade over the blue dungeon chest piece for priests and druids.
The current bug (as Hortus stated in the original thread on the official forums) is that it only procs off of crit-heals.
I expect this will be fixed in the upcoming 2.1.0-patch.
The proc rate on this was increased by a large amount. I am getting it about once a minute now
This robe is so incredibly LOL!
I just got it on my paladin for PvE healing, and boy, this mofo proccs on anything that launches the GCD!!!
I heal, it proccs
I change aura, it proccs
I create a bandage, it proccs
I laughed my ass of when it procced while i made bandages =P
I don't think this is a better all purpose robe (for healing priests) than Hallowed Garments with a good set of gems in there. I found that when the proc triggered, I was able to receive virtually the same mana regen back as I did from Hallowed passively, with the right gems.
However, this does come very much in handy for certain fights where you need a nice stam boost; Aran comes to mind. It can be tough for a healing priest to break 7K hp, even with epics. This robe can be one of the pieces that let you survive the pyroblast, without too much cost to your other stats.
What about combinig this chest with Bangle of Endless Blessings (
When using trinket is better - on trink's proc or on chest's proc?
Does this have some sort of internal cooldown, like the Bangle of Endless Blessings does?
I'd probably use this for Gruul and other +sta dependant encounters, and PMC robe (
) for everything else since it's more superior in terms of +heal and +mana regen.
Is this worth giving up 9 mp5? (hallowed chest, relatively the same stats)
Remember that the proc on this robe is not only a mana regen proc. The best thing about this proc is that it benefits you whether you are casting or not. If you keep casting, it's a sizeable +healing buff with a little mp5. If you can stop casting while it's up, it's a larger amount of regen. It's more flexible than say a spell haste proc that would only benefit you if you cast as much as possible.
As priest, I can just recommend this for long boss fights with multiple healers (10+ ppl), to use this robe together with the Bangle of Endless Blessings (
) and Darkmoon Card: Blue Dragon (
). You certainly lose an amount of +heal but have a lot more mana to your disposal. Especially when carefully used with clearcasts and Inner Focus.
as of 2.4 i can get about 54 MP5 with spirit of redemption and 3 points into meditation. i also get about 45 bonus healing from spiritual guidance.
I did a heroic with a shaman healer wearing this yesterday. It kinda annoyed as my main is a priest and this seems to be an item mostly aimed at holy priests or am I mistaken?
Apparently the proc is broken in 2.0, the proc-chance is only applied after critical spells. This is fixed in 2.1 (see patch notes) and should increase the proc rate a lot.
Procs almost every pull for me - and multiples during boss fights. Time it to spend a bit out of the FSR while the buff is active for mana regen or fire away for bonus heal. Whoever said Truefaith Vestments is a moron. Tough decision between Hallowed and this but in playing with both for a while now I've mostly stuck to the Masquerade.
Stats wise i still think this
unlike many other healing items with a proc, this thing procs off hots, making it incredibly useful for tree of life druids. had >700 spirit during the proc.
I have a hard time deciding if I want to use this, or Hallowed Garments.
As it is (with my hallowed gemmed and enchanted, and this with the same enchant) I would loose/gain following:
-6.4 Mana regen
With chance on hit:
+6.6 mana regen
(like, the chest will give 13mana regen when it ticks in, but I wrote 6.6mana regen here cause when it isnt active I have 6.4mana regen less, but when it does I will have 6.6mana regen more... just so you know it. and I added up the healing with when it wasnt using the procc, and when it was active.. (the procc itself gives 36.3healing)
I stood for a little while in IF healing myself also to get this to procc to see how often it is.. It's not often it does.. and I just wonder if it's worth changing..
I think hallowed is better, but I'm not sure.... (ps. I have a very low mana regen. with hallowed equipped I have 113 when casting, and with this I have 107)
*edit* nevermind now though... I got the primal mooncloth robe. :P

1-2% proc rate. Asked a GM about it and he said it was working as intended, making it more of a novelty item than anything considering it looks pretty cool but has no actual useage in terms of mana regen.
i have had this on my priest for awhile and as of the may 22nd patch, this thing is proc'n nonstop. fort seems to be its biggest, also had it proc on mindvision. i have a feeling its getting nerfed.

I just got it last night, and have the same problem as everyone else here... deciding between Hallowed Garments and the Masquerade Robe. I used it for a couple of the boss fights and it seemed to Proc a lot. I'm leaning more towards the Masquerade Robe at this point. But still very very tough to decide.
It may have to be settled by "which one looks cooler."
Low proc rate, I'd say around 2% not the 10% that's posted. Not half bad though, I use them on my priest. Procs enough to make it nice. :)
Dropped by Julianne, random opera encounter in Karazhan.
Tested through a week of instance runs. More than 75% of my procs are coming from Prayer of Healing.
Seen it proc once off Inner Fire, an Unstable Mana Potion and Inner Focus. Nonetheless nice.
Hard to trade off Swimsuit of the Guardian Saint, though. I liked the skimpy look...
With +15 spi enchant, this robe give you as a humain priest with spirit of redemption,
204 spirit on proc => 127 mp5 on fsr/DC:blue dragon, 19 mp5 with meditation, 25 with "blue T1 tailor set"
20 spi otherelse => 13 mp5 / 1.9 mp5 / 2.5 mp5
Assuming the average of seconds between casts is 2, the proc will trigger every 100s for 15s
As a result result:
Spirit given on Average : 0.15*204+20.4*0.85=30.6+17.34=48 spirit.
Notice that the 48 number is the maximum. All (+%) buffs are included .
In fact, the spirit bonus is not so uge
Overall, not a bad robe for an entry level 70 epic. Got it last night. I will agree with everyone else, There are a two major drawbacks:
1. Proc Rate
2. When the robe does surprisingly proc, it's after a spell cast, so the 15 seconds of + spirit only does you any good for regen for 10 of those seconds due to the five second rule. Generally only useful if you have points in the Holy tree where +heal is increased based on spirit. Horray for big renew ticks... :/
Currently, at least on my priest, it procs the 10% said, but only off crits. I reported this, and the GM said it was being addressed. Sooo yea. For the moment, this isn't that great.
This item still appears to be broken in patch 2.0.12
(It's supposed to be a 10% proc rate off of all spell casts)
The spirit procc stacks with
Bangle of Endless Blessings
Nice regen if you procc and use the trinket ;)
It is confirmed that procs (10%) effects only on crits
This is as of patch on may 22, 2007
This robe is fixed. Yeasterday, We did a karazhan run - Nice and smooth all the bosses down in 1try but anyway..During the clean and bosses, thic procced like hell.. This + Gruuls eye procs - SAVES LOTS OF MANA in long bossfights, get this!
this is the worst drop of the table for this boss set....any priest that has half a brain would use the primal mooncloth set over this for sure...set bonus 5% regen during cast for me is nearly 30 MP5....far outweighs 2-5% procs chance for a short duration...i would take it only if no other priest or druid had better.....otherwise its a Masquerade crystal for the AH
this robe works well for a ToL druid... since patch 2.1, it procs off of lifebloom and rejuv now
145 spirit = extra 36 healing received by party members during that 15 sec timeframe... works very well if ToL druid is in MT group
add innervate while this procs and you'll see a significant difference in the mana regen
last and most importantly, it matches the T4 druid shoulder
after patch 2.1, the proc rate has been dramatically increased. besides this, unlike many other healing items with a proc, this thing procs off hots, making it incredibly useful for tree of life druids. had >700 spirit during the proc.
It procs a ton for me. Maybe they buffed it after 2.1
Got this on my dr00d today (No cloth wearers only a shaman and paladin healer w/ me) Thing is great procs ALL the time even when i buff! slapped a +15 spirit chant on it, F'in great chest for us dr00d's guess it's alright 4 priest too =P
What is with everyone talking about +15 spirit enchant? +6 mp5 is so much better in every way it's not even funny. 15 spirit gives less than 2 mp5 while casting, and about 5 healing to priests with the talents.
Slightly better than hallowed robes w/ decent gems
Slightly Worse than Primal Mooncloth Robes/T4 Robes w/ decent gems
Not every priest is a tailor
i got it yesterday as druid togheter with leather leggings im so happy it procs pretty often i'd say
the reason druids would get a spirit enchant on this is because they get +healing from it. Also druids dont cast as much as pallies priests and shammies. They heal mostly using HoTs meaning they get better mana regen from higher spirit than Mp5.
better then hallowed with decent gems.. how about well balanced rare+ epic gems?
ive looked at it and i will gain 11 healing but lose 31 spirit and 5 sta.. is the proc good enough to compensate for that?
This procs all the time for me. In a 2.5 hour Kara run it averages 70 procs. That's one every 2 min or so. It also procs when I buff, make potions, and when I cook :D It's actually become funny to see what random ability it will proc on next!
Dropped last night for my priest. This thing procs often and off of anything; including PW: Fort, Inner Fire, and any healing spell. It typically proc'd 2-3 times per pull just between the opera and curaitor. Not sure if I'll give up primal mooncloth for good, but this is a nice robe to have in your bag for a rainy day.
I have this and i am resto shammy cuz we didn't have anyone else who seemed to want it and who cares if i wear cloth as long is it's an upgrade, it's not like i'm tanking. I love this robe and have reason to believe it is best for resto shammys. As mentioned above it can proc off of buffs...and as of zul'Aman patch water shield is now a shammy buff w/ 0 mana cost to cast...yes, that's right. Because the mana spring totem w/ 63mp5 and mana tide totem w/ 10% of your total mp5 wasn't enough mana regen. Throw in a few mp5 enchants and i am gaining enough mana to spam heals for days. To test this out me and two friends (fury warrior and marksman hunter) tried taking on azuregos by ourselves. We managed to get him down to under 30% our first try...then we went to kara cause we didn't want to wait for the debuff to tick down. That was about 125mp5 less ago though. Now we can three man him to vend his epics on AH (it takes like 30 minutes w/ just us 3 though). Still, with all this mp5 resto shammys can three man any old 40 man bosses. :p
Can anyone confirm that this proc does not increase priest healing despite the talent which gives spell power from spirit?
I was doodling around with this one to see whether the proc also increased my healing. I for example put renew on myself to see if I could replace it with a renew after the proc ended. Normally, if you are under a +healing/spell power effect your spells will be seen as a rank "higher" due to the increased power of those spells and you cannot recast them on that target until the more "powerful" version of that spell has ended, in this case renew.
It seemed that I could recast renew on myself and replace it with the one I cast during the lovestruck proc which would mean that the renew during the lovestruck proc was not affected at all by the additional healing I gained from the extra spirit.
Is this a bug or is it supposed to work this way?
I got these robes the 2nd time I had the romeo fight, (i was exhaulted with Violet Eye by then), but in putting these on I don't think they are as good as my Hallowed Garments (Priest Dungeon 3) There is no base spirit, no MP5, and no sockets for gems, whereas the Hallowed Garments have 3 sockets 26 spirit, no MP5 either aside from the 6mp5 enchant but with my gems (13 healing, 11 healing, 7 healing plus random other crap) i have 7 more healing, 34 more mp5, and 18 more mp5 while casting. The proc goes off a decent amount but I'm still not sure its worth it
