These boots, a drop from Shade of Aran are a match, both visually and in terms of stats to the Netherblade (Tier 4 Rogue) set. Get them and be pretty like a pony!
Horrible loot, worse then quest blues.
Yeah, these are a disappointment, aside from them looking great, they can't compare to Edgewalker Longboots. I have both, but will continue to wear the Longboots. GG Blizzard.
New stats for 2.1
+31 AC, +4sta, +3crit, +6 AP
They suck, even with 2.1 =[
Depends on how you look at things, I picked these up (had
) So I'm happy ! :P
Edgewalker's drop rate isn't too good, so meh, these are still fairly nice. Severely missing the Hit, but o well.
Until they decide to put sockets on these too, or decide to strip the crit a little and add agi and +hit -- these are terrible boots.
For a combat rogue, Master's Treads (
) and Felboar Hide Shoes (
) blow these away, which is truly sad. Problem is, this particular model is the only one that matches Netherblade Set. So in an aesthetic point of view, you're pretty much screwed.
Is Blizzard even aware of the huge flaw of this item?
I couldn't agree more. There are many blue boots that beat these out.
If you can get your hands on the Edgewalker Longboots, they are much more useful. I myself have them with a +16 AP Gem and a +4 hit +4 agi Gem and they blow these out of the water.
The only reason to ever wear these is because they match T4. Or because Moroes hates you.
They're actually pretty decent Enhancement shaman loot. :-P
Terrible for rogues, though, and even worse for feral druids. Blizzard seems to have this silly idea that leather-wearing classes want crit rating instead of agility.
A rapscallion is one who is playfully mischievous or a scoundrel. Rapscallion comes from the now-obsolete word "rascallion" meaning rascal.
Great Enhancement Shaman boots, because of the not wasted stat points on Agility, Intellect and Hit rating(which we don't need much from) For rogues this is a bad choice.
If I remember correctly, Rap Scallion is one of the dead map holders in Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge.
are better (yes, that is obvious, but someone had asked so I decided to type it down here just that others wont ask anymore :P)
Dropped yesterday 4 me in Karazhan @ the shade of aran
Matches the look of the Netherblade (Rogue T4) set.
These are worse than The Master's Treads. Don't even bother with this crap.
right, they quite honestly do suck.
better wait for moroes to drop edwalkers. these are better suited for ferals i guess.
Crit=rage on a feral druid and stamina gets an additional 25%. Add the 400% armor contribution to dire bear form and these are some pretty decent tanking boots. Not completely pointless
dont give as much dps but are much better for a tank.
are these getting any upgrade in the patch? looter last night stupidly sent me the boots without asking first cause I have the edgewalkers.
If not then to the vendor they go.
and our guild wasn't hurting for a shard, i'd take these. not too shabby for pvp, i guess?
i'm not a pvper, so i'm not sure, but the +crit seems pretty ok if one were going for all +crit gear.
Equip: Improves critical strike rating by 21.
Equip: Increases attack power by 76.
Equip: Improves critical strike rating by 24.
Equip: Increases attack power by 82.
3 crit rating
6 attack power
has anyone noticed that their equipment hasn't actually been upgraded yet? All my tool tips, excluding my T4 still display the old tool tip
Usually they put STR on items that are thought of as feral (post BC) Obviously Edgewalkers are better, but blizz had rogues in mind when makin these...
These are even good for a dps warrior.
I agree these aren't as good as the Edgewalker, but if you have plenty of hit rating already, which any rogue should, these are better raiding boots than The Master's Treads or the Fel Leather Boots.
are these really THAT bad? i mean, c'mon people, quit ^&*!@in about them. they're far above the masters treads or fel leather. sure, edgewalker are better, but that doesn't mean you have to compare these to blues.
ya i agree. these are only slightly worse then edgewalker. only reason its better is sockets. these have crit chance and more atk pwr.
in terms of hit rating , no durr, these have no hit rating at all, in general gives way more attack power and crit
Is it just me or does it seem like most Rogue leather drops (not saying this is Rogue only here) in Kara seem like they are stat specced for PVP (Stam, Crit, Attack Power)? Sure there are a few PVE (agil, +hit, attack power) stacked items, but not as many. I have been stacking +hit with blues to get here, but now I'm having difficulty finding epics to replace them.
I just feel that If I wanted PVP gear, I'd be doing BG's or Arenas....
...anyone else feel this way too?
Woot, got em first down
Currently using these on my rogue.Got 12 agility on them and not so impressed.Still no luck on edgewalkers though.Been farming kara for weeks and no luck.Suppose ill just stick with these till I finally get edgewalkers.
