I deffinetly agree. In general this is a great neck piece for many classes. Feral druids would love this, as would warriors, shaman, etc. I'm a retribution spec'd pally and I would LOVE this necklace. It is actually modifying the same stats as the necklace I have on now except the three different stats are all a fair bit higher.
I would say a nice upgrade from
Alright, so. Here's why I'm a boob.
I've been working on Consortium Exalted for a while now, slowly getting up there, for Haramad's Bargain, which I thought was THE best Feral necklace evar.
Lo and behold, I download a new version of AtlasLoot Enhanced and look and see the Chess Event has been added to Karazhan drops, and I lay my eyes on this baby for the first time.
Hands down the best necklace a Feral can hope for. I'd also like the Shade's necklace for PvP and Stamina fights, but this thing is just gravy.
Definatly a necklace for DPS druids, warriors, paladins, and shaman. Rogues will probably want to get Worgen Claw Necklace (11 more AP and about +1hit at slight loss of crit and sta).
For feral dps, I actually prefer this to Haramad's Bargain for raiding and definitely for pvp. Gaining 19 stamina and giving up only 4 agility is a good trade.
34.44 Strength in Cat form with Heart of the Wild and Survival of the Fittest.
22.66 Agility in Cat form with Heart of the Wild and Survival of the Fittest.
90 Attack Power in Cat form with Heart of the Wild and Survival of the Fittest.
This neck drops from the chess event in karazhan
Does this compare to the Traitor's Noose for MS/Flurry warriors?
If you need the Hit Rating, Worgen Claw is the best you can get untill BT. If you don't need the hit rating, this is very comparable to Haramad's. Haramad's does give you slightly better DPS, however the extra STA more than makes up for it. I personally prefer this over Haramad because the STA is too important to me.
Is this better than
Shattered Sun Pendant of Might
for a Prot Warrior with Fury gear (dual wield)?
dropped last night when i was healing kara on my pally, no one needed it so i snatched it up.
suppose it was worth hanging on to in case i ever go retardin?
This is a reward from the Chess Event
And this is a reward from a soloable quest in Blade's Edge:
much of an upgrade if you ask me.
(I'm not saying it's not an upgrade, I'm just saying it's barely an upgrade.)
hot damn thats a lot of stats
Stats on Darkmoon:
This item for a feral druid gives you a total AP 81.5 (hotw w/ sotf calc for 2.46 x str). With this item's decent amount of stam, its a huge dps upgrade that is only increased by other buffs like BoK.
I'm sure the rogues will /crymore till they put +75ap on a neck and some agi and stam.
This is a decent upgrade from
You should at least be able to get that....
Ret paladin loot
can U see : +25 Strength ?
what is benefit for rogue of +str ?
for feral cat its +60AP.
when part of Assasination set drops (some parts are REALY great for tanking) and im with rogue in party i give priority for rogue as he can benefit much more than me.
In some cases (ie Sun-Gilded Shouldercaps
both rogue and druid benefit as well and both shall press need.
But why to take some GREAT item for other class if it's "just fine" for Ur class and easily can be replaced by other items ?
in case of discussed item U can easily obtain smth similar by simple quest :
Chain of Glowing Tendrils
dont be selfish and gl :)
End of Discussion.
but srsly? i'd take as an enh shammy ):3
i'd be tempted to say
choker of vile intent
worgen claw necklace
a rogue benefits much mroe form attack power and hit rating than they do from strength, so as a rogue i'd be more inclined to one of those 2 than this
being as i'm a druid however, wheres my lucky dice :)
Id say the general oppinion of druid/warrior hybrid items goes like "%^&* warriors best for feral!". Mebbe you should stop and think that perhaps some of this loot is just as good for either class, not to even mention enhancment shaman
Btw im a mage before you start pointing fingers and the feral druids and warriors in my guild understand their on level rights for items like these
I'm in perfect agreement with Nanobreaker. I'm a feral druid and won it as I was the only one in the raid that is would be useful for (fortunately our 2 rogues at least knew how to play their class and knew what gear they should roll on). Should a dps warrior or enhancement shammy have been there, I wouldn't have had any problems with them rolling on it.
I used Haramad's Bargain up to this point and am glad for the upgrade, even though it isn't much in AP. The Sta on the piece makes it very nice indeed because as previously mentioned, we do get hit as well (umm ... Shade, Astral Flares on Curator, Garote from Moroes ... and the list just goes on).
This is better for warriors then for rogues. all times a' day.
For referance, here's what a ret pally with 5 in divine str would get from this necklace.
(and 220 hp)
So if you want to get technical, even the black sheep of wow raiding - the ret paladin - gets more out of this than a rogue, so you might want to learn your class before going for epic loots that you won't attain in the wrong gear.
Luckily kara is very easy, and any noob off the street can do the chess event - as class makes absolutely zero difference for the event.
not a bad fury necklace would be a nice upgrade for me
Unless I am mistaken, this is the BEST necklace an enhancement shaman can hope to get for raiding dps. I currently have
Natasha's Pack Collar
(easy to get ^_^), which I will keep up until I get this neck piece. I recommend all enhancement shaman get Natasha's Pack Collar while leveling. I can guarantee that you will not find anything better up until Karazhan. (Used EJ values to calculate additive AP)
This should either go to a feral druid or a retri paladin(get 3% hit from talents) since they dont need as much hit rating as wariors and you have to be real stupid to give this to a rouge.
Feral druid should be allowed to take this if they need it. No question.
But just to comment on some of the other fruitless arguement going on here... Enhancment shamans get +9% chance to hit from talents, so hit rating is a tricky thing for us. When first gearing up for raiding, yes we need hit rating for sure just like everyone else, but we have a 3% lead on the fury warriors and rogues so we reach our "hit cap" before they do. So items like this can be viable for enhancement shamans, although i do intend to continue using my worgen claw necklace as one of my few +hit peices until i get
