Drops from Gruul.
These gloves have actually been buffed.
18 Critical Strike Rating.
Yummy... crit-tastic gloves here.
Jagged Talasite + Smooth Dawnstone = more crit than any one warrior should have in his hands. ;)
I'm fury, I chose a sovereign nightseye and a glinting dawnstone (whatever the +8 hit dawnstone is called) into these, getting both the socket bonus and some decent hit/ap. Wonderful gloves, they wtfpwn t4, anyone who wouldn't take these over warbringer is a fool.
I'm not sure why this hasn't been mentioned, but these gloves has the potential to be "pretty much identical," and similar to DPS Tier FIVE Warrior gloves.
Equip: Improves critical strike rating by 30.
Gauntlets of Martial Perfection with the following gems:
(for +3 str socket bonus)
Blue: Soverign Nightseye (
+4 Strength and +6 Stamina
Yellow: Smooth Dawnstone (
+8 Critical Strike Rating
Gauntlets of Martial Perfection
+31 Crit Rating
Clearly the Tier 5 gloves have superior armor and stamina, but "dps stats wise," the trade off is an increase of +1 str and a -1 Crit Rating. If you have these gloves and have a chance to obtain Tier 5 then this won't be much of an upgrade. Also as a note, if you on a server that has availability to the Black Temple/Hyjal epic gems, then these gloves might actually be superior to Tier 5.
So if you're a dps warrior don't pass these up, since there really won't be an upgrade for a while. (Following are from Black Temple,
Grips of Silent Justice:
I don't see why Fury Warriors would prefer these over Warbringer Gauntlets (
You really miss out on alot of hit rating and a warrior that can't hit can't DPS.
Just like to say, these are the third best plate DPS gloves in game. Put two Bold Living Rubies into it, you should never gem for hit or crit, you'll get it from items.
Now beaten by the Gloves of Rapidity come 2.4 (Also Better than T6) for Fury Warriors
Yay for Int!
ok i am fury warrior - currently progressing SSC - TK
first-smn said you can easily reach 300+ hit even with these gauntlets. Well there is NO reason to have 300 hit rating under any circumstances(with 300hit btw probably your ap and crit will suck)
second-i have also read a comment saying that you dont really need to raise hit more than the one needed for not missing the yellow attacks -- well thats wrong to -- i wont say anything else about it--proof is only your own experience
The difference in dps i had when i had 110 hit (how i started as fury war) with the dps i have now(210-220 hit) is just unbelievable.
to come to a conclusion
the ideal hit rating for a fury warrior(with precision ofc) is between 200-230 hit
if you dont believe me go to wowarmory and inspect all the first class guilds like nihilum and forte and you will know what i am talking about
If you've talented for Precision (which I freely acknowledge is equivalent to saying, if you play a Fury Warrior while awake), I find that most anything over 150-160 hit rating is perfectly adequate for rage generation. I'm currently running in the neighborhood of 160, myself - and I have no hit rating gems in my gear at present. This is after I recently ditched the Warbringer Gauntlets for these beauties. Despite dropping the hit rating, I'm a much happier and deadlier DPSer.
I very rarely find myself rage-starved, unlike when I was Arms spec, and I also use a slow OH - Fury, to be precise. I have to agree, too much emphasis on hit rating will hurt your DPS overall. You'll have steady rage generation, sure, but won't crit as often, and won't hit as hard on the whole. If your offhand doesn't generate the rage exactly when you need it, remember: Bloodrage is not on the GCD.
As for the comparison to the T5 gloves; yes, gem it up right, and it comes very close, possibly even surpassing with epic gems (I'm on a younger server, so the epic gems haven't proliferated the economy yet). Granted, these gloves won't get you a set bonus, but the set bonuses for T5 are lackluster at best. The 2-set is, imoo, worthless, since Overpower isn't available in Berserk stance, and no full-raid-DPS spec includes Tac Mastery, so you generally can't afford the rage loss to swap stances. The 4-set is nice, but has two problems: 1, 5 rage every 6 seconds is a negligable benefit. 2. it involves killing Kael'thas and/or Vashj - not the easiest bosses around - and winning the roll against every other warrior/priest/druid present, which, in my guild for example, is about half of any 25-man we field.
+10 to Jujitsu skillz
Drop off Gruul the Dragonkiller (
got them today :). gonna slap this one with 8 hit rating 4 str and 6 stam and 15 str enchant.
wheres it drop from and got ne pics?
Hey tard, did you notice this one have 2 sockets?
Hmm doomplate gloves with 2 dawnstones and a jagged talasite would be: 31 str, 31 stam, 20 crit rating, 3 hit rating.
Put a dawnstone and jagged talasite in these, they are 35 str, 26 stam, 24 crit rating.
So, somethings screwed up. These guantlets need a boost.
Exactly my point!
They should chuck another 15 or 16 agil on these and theyd be worthy :)
not sure if these are truely epic. 10 less stam and 1 more yellow socket = sexah
I got these on our first gruul kill many weeks ago knowing they were crappy and would get a huge upgrade. As of 3/6/07 They are 32 str, 27 stam, 18 crit, same 2 sockets, same bonus.
Socketed, my gloves are now 35 str, 33 stam, 30 crit rating. Better then T5.
Ugly! Change look
These gloves are way better than the arena ones :)
an 8 crit rating yellow gem and an other blue with sta and str..Do the calculation :)
