The price you pay for these incredible tanking equips is complete lack of stamina.
Avoidance and mitigation are superb on this very easy to get ring however I'd leave it bagged if you're low on stam.
This is the worst tanking ring I have ever seen. I don't know the reasoning behind this but Stam has been and will always been the single most important stat for any tank. Warrior, Paladin, or Druid.
Leave the pointless discussions for Thottbot, and stick to commenting on the ring itself. If you've reached 70 and successfully completed the BM event to get this ring, then you probably know what you're doing already.

i find it very interesting in combination with
(im currently using theese two rings on my tankadin)
the defense isn't amazing; however, shield block and dodge rating make this a great ring to equip in conjunction with the violet signet
The stats come out to about 4.2 Defense skill, 1.4% chance to dodge, and 1.9% chance to block. While that's all nice it's offset by the rings complete lack of stamina, which is pretty horrible for a tank. There are plenty of rings with more defense that have stamina on them:
And while Andormu's stats are nice, if you're planning on tanking anything more impressive than Shadow Lab you need stamina.
The lack of stamina on this ring never bothered me, here is why. + stamina gives you life, which is always good, but with a few hits from an enemy 70 Elite (You will get hit if you're a tank. Duh.) can easily remove the health gained from whatever + stamina bonuses you have. Why not lower your chances of getting hit completely resulting in 0 damage taken? The 1.58% Dodge, 0.2% Parry, 2.1% Block, 0.2% Miss potentially gained from this ring is invaluable. I'll take these percentages over health any day. If this doesn't convince you, eat a food buff and gain +20 stamina that way.
very useful for a pally tanking seeking to become uncrushable.
Nanometer, although block rating isn't pure avoidance, any blow that is blocked cannot crush or crit, so your % to block will avoid the first 200 damage, or what ever your block value is, but then you also avoid the change for 2x crit damge or 1.5x crush damage. Pre-raid, this is a very good ring for anyone who is shooting for un-crushability.
So say I already have the
and my other ring is this
(of the champion - with these stats: +17 Strength, +26 Stamina, +17 Defense Rating). I'm wondering if Andormu's Tear is better for a warrior tank then my Acane Loop ring.
