This awesome healer mace drops off of Murmur, the last boss in the Shadow Labyrinth wing in Auchindoun.
Patch 2.1 this will be changed to
6 Mana per 5
+15 critical strike rating.
Before 2.1 patch it was wery good mace ... but after it will be PVP crep. Lower reagen , no intelect ... useless for PVE.
I would rate this weapon very highly especially for paladins even though illumination has been nerfed significantly.
The only weapon a paladin can wield that has spell critical as well as healing >260 and is not dropped from Mount Hyjal.
This was changed quite a lot in 2.1. People are saying it's more of a PVP mace now but I don't see how this is any worse for PvE compared to the previous version. Illumination was nerfed but spell crit is still valuable.
Just picked this awesome thing up, quite an upgrade from Essence Focuser. Gonna start raiding soon and I just figured I'd ask - how long will this thing last?
Enchanting this weapon does not replace the unique "resonance" graphic. This includes shaman weapon imbues.
How often does it drop?
I have this on my Priest currently. Took 2 runs to get it, excelent healing mace, slightly pvp favoured but still good for pve.
does anyone know wether if i enchant this weapon with +81 hp will glow or not?
This is a fantastic healing mace for paladins; a good balance of stats needed to be an effective healer. I used this until the
dropped. I highly recommend picking this up if you are just starting Karazhan. Hell, you could use this well into TK/SSC.
Looks awesome, to boot!
i u take a moment, you'd notice this is the weapon Murmur carries, just like how Thunderon(sp?) is holding thunderfury, or Rag holds sulfuras
This is the actual mace that Murmur uses during the encounter.
Identical to Gavel of Pure Light from Sha'tar.

+282 heal, nice
drops from Murmur on Heroic Mode.
In beta it was a drop off the last boss in Shadowlabs AKA Rag's Twin Sister. Although im not sure if its on heroic or non-heroic version.
I think it drops from Murmur in Heroic mode.
Leaves a sonic trail behind you, like murmur's sonic booms. This rather odd effect makes this one of the best looking maces in the game. It's also a decent indicator of skill--murmur on heroic is serious business.
Ok.. Been done every day Heroic Shadow Lab for two weeks now, and still no drops.. Just crap gems that no one wants keeps dropping all the time.. Or some other completely useless items, C'mon drop already so I can finish my preraid gear.. :(
Did it today. Drop rate is definitely low! Very worth it though. Way hotter looking than the one off prince. i dont mind it only having 282 healing. so hot.
got this off of Murmur in Heroic mode last night. Very nice looking mace
would probably benefit a holy pally or resto shammy more, since they get more out of a healing crit then other classes. The lack of int is kinda disappointing though
GL with farming that, FFS 12 freaking times never dropped bleh. always get the useless cloth drop :S
hehe it leaves funky bubble looking things as you run :D worth it just for that :D
Reason i would go after this mace is that is is a very good healing mace for arena. The loads of stamina and +crit are nice to have for 2v2 or 3v3
Woot, finally got it, was so excited i forgot to get my badge XD
Got it for my 70 Pal. BTW, this mace is way better than Gavel of Pure Light. Spell crit and more healing and more stam trumps the weak 2 mana regen difference.
I've been pondering this for a while, along with the question of "Mace and off-hand or staff?"
As far as which mace would be worth getting, between this and the Gavel of Pure Light, I would say whichever appears more easily attainable. For me, I'm only 5k rep away from Exalted with the Sha'tar, however I don't even have Revered with the Lower City. Also take into account that there are two better maces that drop in Karazhan, one from the Maiden of Virtue and the other from the Prince, the second one obviously being better.
To answer the question regarding whether or not a Priest healer or other 1h Mace/Staff user should be using a mace or a Staff I find it to be completely variable. Staffs tend to offer ~10% less +healing while granting the bearer more intellect, stamina, and spirit. Maces will give you the +healing bonus as well as the off-hand's further increase in +healing. This will come in at what your position in raids is. The large healing bonus is handy for group healers, since raid members tend to get low on health without much worry, where when the tank gets even half health, he receives atleast three heals at once in my experience. If you are going to be keeping someone topped off, I would say go for the extra intellect and spirit, giving you smaller heals, but increasing your out of combat mana regen (which I use quite often, take 10 seconds away from casting and regen 1k mana). Take your position and the item's use into account to determine what you need.
How much +healing and mana do I need to have in order to do SL heroic?
all i can say is - GL trying to find a group for heroic SL. since the nerfed the attunement quests nobody does it.
and getting all your mana from critting is ok at heroic lvl but try doing it in end game. dont work like that.
Wow real nice mace, best for arena untill gladiator and merciless. I want this on my resto shammy. whats an accurate drop chance on this? AWESOME MACE!
I picked this up at the end of a long, otherwise crappy Shadow Labyrinth Heroic run today. Made my evening. :-) And it was only the second time I ran the instance on Heroic, AND it was for the daily, which made it all the sweeter.
Here's one thing I don't understand: why is this epic item level 105, when a blue like the Lightsworn Hammer (clearly inferior) is level 115?
first time i did the instance (heroic) it dropped, the mace have low drop chance, about 7 pct. but still it worth going for, ofc if your a typically raider like me you wouldn't need ot so badly since you would get better in the raid instances in TBC. Anyways, for the non PvP'ers and raiders this would be the best :P.
Im a holy pala, got this ninjaed from me by a ench shammy :)
this mace is very good for the non.-raiders and non PvPers aswell as its sweet looking, i remember myself first time i did heroic SL. The sweet thign dropped, the pala that were dps in group were so unlucky to get nada from any bosses, i used the Sha'tar exalted mace and said to myself, wuhuu, i want this, but when i looked at the pala who had some crappy gear i said to myself ( why not just giving it to him, anyways i have a guild who dose heroic everyday and will gladly help with this piece of cake heroic ). so i passed on it and told him to need, he made a ? and just did it, after he got it he kneeled before me and were glad, i whisped him to go holy, he did it and is now black temple raider, this story makes a player happy, and then when his guild went to do maggy he asked me if i could come join. So remember guys, always help n00b players, look at me ( you get name, realm, race and guild later ), i got a crap geared pala to do BT and doing it myself now, only coz of him and me were doing this :).
Nice mace, very pretty.
I got this ninjaed from me by a Mage from Alexstrasza US-- Azriel.
8% drop rate. I quit.
u gave it to the pally and he speced holy. sweet :D
did this item get buffed, its +heals went up, huh?
