Dropped for Curse on our first killl of Kae'thas. According to a rogue using it (Zkygge, from Curse guild), the proc rate is insane.
Better for warrior or rogue ?
Hey guys, i have found out about something called a druid! Apparently they too benefit from this. Would be fun to have a druid with both 2 set bonus energy regain armors and this.
good pvping wep for rogues and warriors
Yeah ... actually this not that good mace for a rogue ... the talon of azshara is way better as sword spec is awesome and owns mace spec for pve ... Also if ur guild downed kael it will down anetheron pretty fast like in 3-4 days who drops the blade of infamy which is even sweeter than the talon of azshara ...
Procrate is actually around 2 or 2.5ppm imo the weapon is not worth it for a PvE rogue
I ran procwatch for 2 hours while auto attacking a Servant of Razelikh. Checking the results I came up with the following details:
2 hours, 4 minutes, 50 seconds
3058 successful hits
Procwatch estimated this to be about a 1.1ppm, with around 4.61% proc rate.
I was actually using dragonspine trophy which is why the time to attacks don't line up with the normal 2.7 speed. I didn't have flurry for this test either, but I thought some actual numbers on this weapon could be useful. I will do the test again later without dragonspine or flurry. And yes, I am a warrior with this weapon, no rogue wanted it.
For rogues, combat sword build with dw-ing swords is better, thats why most rogues don't need this weapon.
I am a combat sword rogue in a hyjal guild and I must admit that if this mace ever drops for us I want it for the extensive PvP benifits. I would spec for combat maces and use the extra two talent points for increases poison damage. However the reason I am posting is that I am intrigued as to why you believe this is better vs a similar sword?
Well, someone who's completely dedicated to Raids would go for the 2talents for getting +10weap skill,so with mace spec will get +20skill...Again,the +10skill talent is only good for PVE!
If PTR 2.3 comes live as is, Mace Specialization adds +1% Stun for 3 sec and +1% Crit per point.
This mace has an energy proc, that along with the 2.3 possible change can put this up to par with swords on PvE (if not over).
Seems to be about 2ppm based on recent WWS reports. This replaces unbridled wrath for a warrior leaving 5 talent points free for booming voice or imp demo shout.
Very good fury warrior offhand as of 2.3
i originally thought this was for a druid, because it said energy and rage, then i remembered that waepons don't proc in kitty or bear form,
anywho, imo everyone seems to be paying attention to the proc, which is good, but if its a 5% proc rate its hardly worth looking at, its just unique, the dps and attack power are amazing though.
I feel that this weapon should also have a mana-return function. Perhaps a 100 mana return on the same PPM as the rage/energy would be about the equivalent.
This is a nice off-hand for Enhancement Shaman using the Dragonstrike or Talon of the Phoenix in main hand (Both 2.7 speed is great for Stormstrikes and Quad-Flurrys)
But receiving no benefit from the special chance on hit, it's lacking in stats.
Even still, after Warriors have their offhand... it's next point of call should be to 2.7 MH Enhancement Shaman.
Rogues should not take this... if they regularly have anh Enh shaman in their group, they should be swords spec anyway.
whats the drop rate on this mace?
It'd be amazing if this thing procced mana (say 150 or so) on hit...It's actually an amazing enhancement shaman mace...except the proc on it will basically keep it out of a shaman's hands.
Anyone knows how this measures up against Dragonstrike for a dual-wield fury warrior?
I heard that this is actually good for mace pve rogues if they have a good hit rating that is 300 or over . I just have been speccing around much to find out what would be my ideal spec,
This Mace is a pretty awesome mainhand -weapon for a Rogue - damage-range and speed make it fit perfectly for Hemo.
with procmeter i stated a 2,5% procrate ....compared to a 2% rate of executioner for example.
I've seen several procs in a row ... in my opinion there is no internal CD for the 10 energy proc .
conclusion: go for it ... it's worth it!
Dragonstrike is just way better than Rod of the Sun King, and afterall this is 2.7 too, meaning you'll be receiving 4 Flurry charges
On that note, this is the ONLY 2.70 offhand for enhancement Shamans looking to match the speed of
Talon of the Phoenix
for Flurry purposes. It's a real pity that the proc overlooks Shamans. (edit: Warriors of course also have access to
Talon of Azshara
This mace performs amazingly, although it is ugly. Being a combat sword raider since the early days of Molten Core, I finally broke the mold and picked this badboy up. It has long been known combat swords may be the best raid spec for rogues. Recently, many have argued that a combat fist/sword spec is optimal.
I suggest sword rogues consider going combat mace/sword spec with this mace if you can't get a great MH weapon (such as the Talon off Tidewalker or the Talon off Al'ar). The energy regen is awesome, as you can tell from the posts above... but throw in the extra mace swings from the OH sword procs and you are really cooking. Throw in some haste and T5 4 piece bonus for spice, and you will find yourself with more energy than you know what to do with. Top it off with a WF totem, and have a slice of heaven. Don't forget the +5% to crit damage with mace spec. It rocks.
An added bonus to going combat mace/sword with this little monster is PvP performance. The energy regen is great and your stuns will come easier with the OH sword proc making this mace swing. Although I love to raid, I love my PvP, too... but if I were to respec every week, i would be running through thousands of gold. My raid DPS has gone through the roof and PvP performance is amazing. Healers in 5-mans will be loving you because you do awesome DPS and mitigate a lot of damage off the tank with stuns.
In short, I've never been happier with my weapon combo. The utility just can't be matched. This spec is relatively unheard of, just check out the standard fist/sword specs and move the points from fist into mace.
EDIT: The poster below agrees. His response was to a poster who didn't believe that OH sword procs would make a MH mace swing. That post has been deleted, thankfully. Please bump.
In regards to the Arena Tournament:
This is the best Main Hand option available to any rogue using the generic 20/0/41 Shadowstep build assuming you don't mind giving up the stam/resilience that it lacks when compared to the Merciless Gladiator weapons.
this lookes alot like cosmic infuser a legendary wepon used to defeat kael thas sunststrider one of the 7 legendarys that despanws when u leave the raid instance
Just dropped for Lawn Pirates - Black Dragonflight. Picked it up cause our fury warriors didn't want it, going to try it out with a combat mace build for pvp, patch tomarrow so this is getting buffed to 352 top end damage.
Here is an
of the mace
Drops from Kael'thas Sunstrider.
Any of you heard of switching weapon while tanking?
Well we can all agree it's a pretty good weapon. Does anyone have a picture?
I'd give this to a Rogue any day. And I'm a Fury Warrior, hah! It's too slow to be a good tanking weapon, and tanks get most of their rage from BEING hit, not doing the hitting. The proc is also useless for a PvP Dualwielder, because if you're a Fury Warrior Dualwielding, you never need rage, ever, because you already have it pouring out of every hole in your body. Rogues, on the other hand, could make great use of this, both for its extra Energy and the horrors of Stunlock Rogues (even though a good Stunlock Rogue can stunlock with any weapon, Maces just make it that much worse)
Warlock weapon only.
anyone know the proc rate of this mace? specifically the 10 eng proc rate?
proc rate is 3ppm
has an internal 3 second cooldown (so you can't get back to back procs)
does it disturb any1 that the first screenshot is of a shaman with this item..
well if a guild got this far then i think a good fury warrior can w8 for bt swift steel bludgeon :P
I wonder how many phallic jokes are said when this item drops.
Depends on how many other 12yr olds there are in the raid like you.
At 26 hit (almost nothing) this proced 1.4 ppm in 706 hits.
At 201 hit (average) this proced 2.7 ppm over a similar number of hits.
189 - 352伤害
