Materials don't appear TOO insane for these quite acceptable healing boots. NIce, also, to discover the item behind the intriguing name, which, as many of you may know, was one of several discovered early in TBC's life, and which has remained a mystery until now.
I doubt the materials will remain the same, its WAY to easy to make these epic boots... Put 2 x Nether vortex and 10x primal mooncloth and 10x spellcloth and we're talking epic boots =)
I'm not sure if these boots will stay BoP or not.
I believe one of the reasons the boots are BoP at the moment is because it is in the "Priest Set" sold for free from Johnny McWeaksauce on the PTR.
All items within the box are BoP, for discouraging trading to those that are not honored with the violet eye.
Compared to Boots of the Incorrupt (

Reciept BOE, but craft BOP ;-(
Dropped by Hydross today.
They seem to have changed the graphics on these boots. They now fit perfectly with the t5 priest set.
Arguable some of the best cloth healer boots in the game. These are bested only by
Boots of The Divine Light
(Black Temple Trash Drop) and
(Hyjal Summit Drop). These boots are easily an upgrade from the
Boots of the Incorrupt
(Karazhan Boss Drop), while only being marginally better in stats and mp5 are hugely better in +healing.
These boot are comparable to
(Serpent Shrine Boss Drop) which are only marginally better in pure stats when they are socketed with Rare quality gems. However, these boots beat out the Soul-Strider boots for mp5 which makes a critical difference in many of the long endurance fights found in the end-game bosses.
Because the material cost of these boots makes them quite easy to attain, anyone who wins this pattern will not be replacing these boots for a very long time. The only major drawback to these boots is that they are BoP, so it requires that the person who wants to attain them is a Tailor. Thankfully the pattern itself is BoE so check the Auction House, the pattern will occassionally show up in there.
For people that tend not to read walls of text, these boots are
Bind on Pickup

Got the pattern from AH for 400g. They worth every gold coin. With my priest build 23/38/0. I get:
Healing 73+7(from spirit)+2(from int with whitemend )=82
mp5 9+4(from spirit)+4 vitality=17
With this stats i think they are the best holy priest boots in the game.
What is curious, is that the boots themselves don't require tailoring to
. I'm at a stage where Whitemend/PMC are starting to get replaced and I'll eventually drop tailoring but I'm wondering if you can still continue wearing the boots after dropping the profession....
(dropping tailoring now would mean not being able to wear PMC/Whitemend because they require tailoring to wear)
I am looking to purchase the pattern for these boots. I am Horde and on The Scryers, but if you are on Earthen Ring, Kirin Tor, or Shadowcouncil I would be willing to transfer there to get it.
Sons of Eris
the patern drops off Hydross in SSC
These boots, along with the belt of the long road, look great and go well with the Avatar set.
They are clearly designed for holy priest tailors to have side pieces that look great with their tier 5 set. Well done blizz.
Had this pattern about 3 weeks now and received the pattern for the belt yesterday. The only thing I don't like about the boots is that they are BoP and have no sockets. And that both items do not form a set with ofc. a setbonus. (nice spirit boost would be nice :D)
Other then that, imba healinggear!
O and both patterns dropped from trash in SSC.
great boots, and as such, they take a bit of effort to make. 4 x BOTH Mooncloth and Spellcloth, so even if you have a spec, you might be stuck waiting for CD, unless of course you have generous friends/guildies, or are rich enough to afford AH prices. oh and the 2 primal nethers aren't exactly a cake walk either.
THese items are relatively cheap. They use 4 CDs in total, you should only be buying spec'ed, and that means 8 primals. The average cost should be 12 so that means 92 gold plus 20g for Imbued Bolt and tip making that 112gold, factor in the thread and thats 114 gold. Only trouble is actually getting the pattern from the AH and the 2 Nethers, but you should be farming H Mech for badges so it isn't that much of a problem.
Made these today for my little Holy Priest. Love 'em.
The mats aren't
bad...as a Tailor you'll be used to handling those Cloth transmute cooldowns. It's only 4 Spell and 4 PM. The harder part (if you're like me and not a dedicated raider) will be actually finding the pattern on the AH at a good price. I got lucky and snared one for 400g (they usually sell for twice that on my realm).
As for the Nethers, look into some easier Heroics. With the recent addition of the daily quests in Lower City, you'll have plenty of chances to go to, say, Slave Pens. And don't rule out the Normal mode 70 instances...I got my first Nether from a Normal ShadowLab run, the second from Heroic Slave Pens.
True, these boots lack sockets..but that aside, they've got everything a healer wants: +Healing, very nice mp5, some Spirit, some Stam, and even some Int for good measure. Slap a Vitality enchant on them and these shoes will take you a very long way down that long road. :)
