Given its low droprate it's safe to assume it drops in Heroic Mana Tombs.
Yes, Heroic. I got this, but have no reason to use it.
Moonglade Pants are better.
(Argue sockets all you want, but factor in the set-bonuses and it's not even close)
In terms of feral healing, once socketed this item would be better than Moonglade - both for PvP and PvE.
Take into consideration that Moonglade also only requires 4 pieces to be worn to get both the set bonus'...why not wear these along with Moonglade?
The Moonglade Leggings are also unsocketable, so it's one of the more attractive candidates to replace.
Basic stats changed on PTR now
(no spirit anymore=
sockets and socket-bonus remain the same
Healing bonus is gone yes, but very nicely tuned for ferals now.
If you put in two 12 stamina gems and one 8 agility gem this item becomes a fantastic tanking piece. Good for dps too.
When all said and done. I currently don't have good dps leggings but i do have the blue clefthoof set....
I think i'm just gonna stuff it with dps sockets. It seems a shame to get such great item - an item that allows you to use it either way, thx to the sockets- and then socket it up for a marginal upgrade :/
The T4 leggings has more armor and more dodge, and can provide further armor with setbonus.
You only need 4 pieces of T4 to get the set bonus, so if you have the other 4 pieces you won´t lose the set bonus by using these instead of T4 legs.
don't argue, realize the truth. check both high-end tanking and normal.
its not an al decrease at all , 26 agi =52 AL
459 + 52 =511 wich is 11 more than clefthoof. yes you lose stam but gain dodge and increase threat
These leggings really own, if i have to be honest, but for a DPS/arena druid, i guess that Midnight Legguards if better -
Reply on this pls, so we now what to wear, since i havent done the math...
i think they pretty close, but would be nice to see some proff anyway :P
the real difference between clefthoof and these is the defense rating. thats pretty much it. The reason nearly every feral tank wears the three clefthoof pieces is because they are easy to obtain and have defense.
if you do not cover defense on your clefthoof sets and take pieces like these you limit your options on other pieces of gear severely. there is so little +def leather out there too. you basically HAVE to have a def cloak, HAVE to have def rings HAVE to have a def neck and possibly a trinket, wrist enchant, shoulder enchant etc etc.
yeah it sucks, feral gear is very rare to actually find and when you do (like these) you wanna use it as much as possible. however taking slightly better pieces in the place of clefthoof means you have to have certain other gear slots filled with the exact right item or you are critable
Druids shouldn't be obsessed with socket bonuses. Going all +agility gems is almost always better than worrying about the socket bonus, especially when it wants lousy (for cat DPS) blue gems.
So these are even better with all Delicate Living Rubies.
One big exception to the above: Relentless Earthstorm Diamond is so good for feral druids that it's worth putting 2 blues and 2 yellows somewhere (in practice it should be 2 purples and 2 oranges, of course).
For a tanking feral druid... These would have been useful for trash tanking in the past. And Clefthoof for bosses. However, with 2.4 coming out soon, the new legs from badges from that exceed both Clefthoof and these, and thus these will soon become fairly useless. A pity as lately I've been changing my gear around and trying to gather a set for higher threat gen in heroics and for trash... But with 2.4 due it's not worth trying to get these, spend gold on gems and grind the mats for an armor kit. Best to save up badges for 2.4 sadly.
LFG Mana-Tombs Heroic...no druids please :)
Shamans wanna sex these pants
end of story, sexy sexy sexy.
It drops in Heroic Mana-Tombs, off of Nexus-Prince Shaffar.
actually the first boss (Pandemonius) is the one who does massive shadow damage. My group killed him with no shadow resistance gear. Key is to STOP DPS when he shifts into void form, then resume dps when he switches back to normal form. He reflects dmg in void form.
Nexus prince shafaar who drops this kilt is quite tough too, but he does mage spells (fireball, frostbolt, frost nova, etc). Our only successful method was to kill 2 of his orb guards ASAP, then everyone MAX DPS on boss, ignore/fear adds until boss is dead. Adds wiped us, but we ran back, looted boss for the win. One of the toughest heroic dungeons imo. Only did it once, and the kilt dropped, so I'm a happy druid. Filled it with 1 Delicate Living Ruby and 2 Shifting Nightseye and added the +30 stam +10 agi leg enchant.
PS this kilt has a high drop rate :)
This piece is excellent pre-T4/5 gear for a druid. We shouldn't forget that druids are a combo class, and thus, OPTIONS are what we need. This provides it. As a tank, I simply put in more STA and a bit of AGI in the slots and nethercleft to make up for the moderate 200 armor drop compared to Heavy Clefthoof Leggings. In pvp, the extra INT is amazing. Even yesterday, they helped with off-healing the REAL Prince in Kara.
The nerfed Prince in MT, which this drops from, is fine so long as you kill the 3 orbs, and then nuke him while ignoring the adds.
Forestwalker Kilt has only one less armor than Clefthoof. If you would stop being a noob for one second and notice that FWK has 459 Base armor and Heavy Clefthoof has 503, then notice that HC has NO agility and FWK has 26 base and easily capable of more with a patch and gems. Every pt of agility is worth 2 armor to a druid, so without gems or patches FWK has 502 armor. It is EASILY beatter than cleft hoof in everyway, you lose nothing.
Even stam, HC has 33, FWK has 24 and 2 blue slots. I, personally, am putting in a +8 agi and 2 +12 stam with a 40 stam 12 agi patch, giving me a total of 88 stam, 46 agility. That makes 551 armor, 1.89% crit and 3.12% dodge. For those of you at home paying attention, that makes 924 HP in Tauren, (if you are horde, if you are ally, do it yourself) and 1144 HP in Bear, 1386 if you have 5/5 Heart of the Wild.
I just got these last night. I used to the have the CF legs with 3 (4Def rating and 6 stam gems) along with the 30 stam and 10agil addon. On Forestwalker Kilt I did 3 (4agil and 6 stam gems) with 40 stam and 12 agil add on).
with am currently at:
with I was at:
I mainly gained Dodge and Dmg//crit and a tad bit of Stam
i downgraded about 1.2k armor in bearform to get these pants and and use cirtain boots. (too long to explain what)
But i can tell you i managed to gain an additional 15% dodge with my upgrades. I double tanked romulo and julianne wearing theese. and i needed the gem to achieve exactly 415d
the gems help u balence your needed stats
Hunter Here...If there is no druid in the group..and my current pants wreak of blue...is there any reason why I shouldn't roll. I mean we strive to be ranged but when we're forced in melee the strength helps my axe swing harder..with the right trinks these legs can serve me well + The kilt look kinda hides my skinny legs :p
if you think u can use it, and no druid in your grp i dont see why you shouldnt be able to roll.
damn i want this so badly
