This is a great Arcane resistance ring, offering the highest resistance on a finger item currently available in-game. If you're a tank, you should spend a little time farming the primals to get your hands on this fantastic ring (Eternium is everywhere in the Outlands, a miner friend of yours will probably give you 2 bars). The resilence means little to anyone above the "uncrittable" threshold but you will be hard pressed to match this ring in terms of resistance on those fights it's really needed.
Don't believe this is a great ring? Look at your other options:
The only ring that even comes within 12 resistance of this (as of this posting) is a reward from being Revered with the Consortium and a somewhat involved quest chain.
If you're looking to round out your Arcane resist set, pick up the Enchanted Adamantite Armor set (
) if you're a plate wearer, or the Enchanted Clefthoof "set" (
) if you're a bear tank.
The cloak from tailors who are honored with Lower City (
) is a nice swap-piece too, especially if you're willing to sink the time into farming the matching enchant (
) from Shadowmoon Valley.
on arcane resist gear,really usefull.
is this a freebee to learn from a jewelcraft trainer or are there plans to buy/loot to make it?
This seems suspiciously good compared to The Natural Ward and the Frozen Eye, both of which are epic and require quite a bit more effort to craft...
You can only wear one of these at a time. Don't make the mistake of having 2 made. A guild mate needed one and bought it off me or I would have been out 8 primal mana.
You can have only one of these equipped but as many as you want in inventory.
To confirm, just ask a jewelcrafter to link this item and check the tooltip.
This ring has a new stat. It's unique but only equiped. This means you can have more in your inventory then one, but you can only equip one at a time.
How do i know this? I'm a JC who can make these rings on Deathwing
new category brought to cover jewelcrafters making items that are unique. it means that you can have as many as you like in your inventory but you may only wear one at a time. bascially prevents someone overpowering themselves with very good crafted items but allows the crafter to carry more than one at a time. i dont know whether this categorisation will prevent a character from equipping one then putting it in a bank then equipping another.
so my query is 'does this "unique equipped" class mean you CANNOT make two of the same item soulbound even if you are wearing only one?' (so, one equipped and one banked but both soulbound...is it possible to make that mistake?)
This is awsome for curator fights...a must buy for people who run kara!
rofl, the only place this ring would find itself useful is for the Solarian Fight, which my guild is upto next. me (as paladin) dunno if i should bother getting this, already got 160 Arcane resistance with 4 parts and i dont wanna gimp my +heal too much :P
so i would say tanks should have this ring, noone else
