This is a so called "tier 5 weapon". Its not a part of the set, but it got same color and design as the paladin tier 5.
There is one weapon that matches each classes tier 5.
edit: removed old dead link
This weapon has paladin written all over it...
I dunno what about other guilds but over in my guild priests & droods are always on about mana regen etc... Well they can get the mace from Lady Vashj, I'll be more then happy to take this one on my pally ^^
Tho the "Tier 5" paladin shield... Isn't that "Aldori Legacy Defender" from Gruul? Or does one of those insane new healing shields have the same looks as well?
Ooooh. Grats Pallies. Seriously.
As a Priest, I don't go for spell crit as much as I do mp5 and +healing. To me, spell crit just means more overheal, but since pallies have smaller heals (last I looked at least), spell crit may be a good thing.
I'd never, EVER take this over a pally.
Or a Resto/Balance hybrid Druid.
It's good for restoration shamans with second t5 bonus. If you like get more crit it's one of the best items for "crit shamans" :-)
23 spell critical rating = 1.04% chance to crit spells
It's entirely possible that Blizzard's art department got real lazy again and just recolored this for the recent spell damage mace off hyjal/BT trash.
Of course, considering the similarity in names, perhaps there is some lore tied between the two.
i think it must be noted that the mace indeed glows, but the flattened rock sections on the head of the mace rotate as well!
I would not use this for my tanking setup (Revenant, Eredar US). The dmg/healing mace from Eagle ZA boss, or BT/Hyjal trash mace drop > this mace for Paladin tanking. Spell crit isn't as important as say, +spell hit from the prior 2 maces.
This is the mace for Holy Paladins stacking SPELL CRIT. If you are a mp/5 fiend, Illidan's mace (or Vash'j mace, if you're still in T5 content) are your aims. The priests and druids and shamans have expressed disdain for this mace (in my guild, at least).
The OP is referring to Hammer of Judgement (the mace linked in his post), not Hammer of Atonement.
This goes to first and foremost--Paladins. If your guild gives to anyone else, leave. Immediatly. It "matches" the t5 Crystalforge set, as does the
It gives a little over a crit (1.04%) which for the most part would equal out to around +20-30 healing, and around 3-7 Mp5, given a 25% crit, 2k healing 100 mp5 setup.
For some reason the enchant weapon major healing spell does not have a glow on this weapon.
Like a giant candy rock on a stick.
Drops off Kaz'rogal in the Hyjal Summit.
Healing by 443! on a one hander....cool
That might be considered a medical problem. You should seek a doctor.
Although paladins may get the most from spell crit when healing, it's hardly worthless for other healers. The 25% armor buff is always nice to have if you're specced into it.
although, i do admit... other classes COULD use it, but it'd be messed up to take this from a healadin
ummm, i was wondering, isnt this thread supposed to be about a mace?
Based on your experience everyone...how does this weapon rank for Healadins in the game. In other words...is this right near the top of the BEST Healadin weapons?
Thx in advance
I think it would be fair if they made a version for each talent tree of the paladin, with the weapons's skin.
As a Tankadin, I would love a matching T5 weapon that was beneficial.
Man, that Draenei chick was HOT!
This mace is beautifull. More usefull for Healadin as it was said, but it can also be used by chamy restau because of the t5 bonus, which is the same as Healadin t5 bonus. Priority for paly of course. Vashj's one is also good for cham.
Emanx good job! I am a healadin, but i must admit that is very sad... someone must seriously be addicted to WoW to threaten you.
Also, i admit that i love spell crit and gave up my t4 healadin leggings for something for more spell crit. This mace is still amazing for any class. Paladins have gotten kind of demanding now, i'm just happy that dagger-rogues get some slack since paladins can't use daggers. BLizzard should make a few items that just say "class: paladins" that would simplify alot of fighting over gear. Then the crazy paladins would know what gear is for them and stop rolling over others for gear they may never use or may not need.
People have been saying "don't take this from a pally" but, hey! Everybody should get a equal chance to roll on it. No matter what anybody says, a healing crit is still x150% healing (plz correct me if i'm wrong). Especially shamans should get a good chance to roll on this. If i remember right then a shaman spell critical = more armor for the tank if they are specced correctly.
Yeah well, this is a pally mace more than any other class. It's not that difficult to recognize, I passed on Vashj mace for a shammy. Why would I do that? Cuz in the grand scheme of things it makes my guild better. I'm not at all saying that I would be upset if a shammy used this but I know that the shammies in my guild would give this to me before they took it. BTW you guys argue to much. Why cant you just talk about how pretty this mace is cuz the healer that gets it is gonna keep you alive better. One more thing. Fifty bucks says most of you will never even see this mace unless its on a person thats in the good guild thats way ahead of you on your server. We dont argue about stuff like that. Thats why we kill big boy bosses ;) Happy hunting guys!
This is a paladin weapon.
^See how easy that was?
omg so much crap and nothing about its whereabouts....stop acting like kids, every healer is going to roll for this mace and you know it.
Ok it WORKS better for a paladin, but it doesnt mean they get roll priority.....
Im interested in who drops it?
I have this enchanted with +81 healing and noticed there is no enchant glow, anyone else notice this?
As far as the class argument goes:
each class utilizes different stats differently, priests and druids use spirit for mana regeneration and tree of life. Shaman focus on mp5 for regen. Paladins rely on crit to make their heals more mana efficient.
When this drops for your guild the first time, every healer is going to want it because it's a huge upgrade in +helaing alone from the typical maces like shard of the virtuous and light's justice.
Don't be greedy. Accept the fact that certain items favor some classes. More loot will drop. And if you don't get this because you're not a paly and its not on rot yet, guess what? you'll probably get the mace off illidan before the paly ever gets to upgrade. soo QQ non-palys
And in response to a couple other posts:
-it drops in Caverns of Time: Mount Hyjal (for those of you who haven't even heard of this raid, you'll probably never see this mace
-officers of guilds that are in Hyjal/BT should realize it's best suited (if not long term BIS) for a paly, so if it's master loot/officer loot dont cry when you don't get it as a resto druid
-don't send tells spaming people with this mace (or other good loot) about how cool our gear is. We know already, or think that there are still be improvements. lol.
Got it on our first kill, imba weapon =D
And yes Shamans and Paladins benefit from this most, Druids and Priests should just go for a staff or the Vashj mace either way, not like it's useless to have this but there is way better healing weapons for them too
I'm a sham. Ancestral healing's nice and all, but this is totally pally material. :)
As many ppl are saying this is close to perfect for a paladin and they should have prio on it over other healers. A shaman and/pr priest could have use for it since it gives ALOT of healing+ and spell crit is also a bit usefull for them. But when it comes to druids, i think you should be affraid to even want it because if another healing class would notice you do he´ll prob hunt you down IRL and delete your druid, smash your comp and cut your arms off so you wont be able to play at all.
It's honestly true this mace does belong in the hands of a pally. Likewise the one off vashj rocks with a shammy or other spirit based healers. Will it work for others classes? Of course, but the next time the mace off vashj drops and your healadins pass on it because they know it's better for others kindly return the favor ;)
Def. a paladin mace, but I wouldn't feel too bad if a Shaman got it too. Priests and Druids should look elsewhere, though. They need spirit, not spellcrit.
Killed Kaz'rogal for the 13th time. Still no drop. #$%^ this game.
I've killed kaz'rogal about 15 times, no drop yet. My guild just killed him while my internet was down, and it dropped... a few months ago my previous guild killed him on my day off, and it dropped. I think this game really hates me.
