33 haste rating should be about 3% speed increase in melee according to wowwiki conversion rating.
Nice gloves, but I'd prefer a pair of boots or bracers, since that slot is not covered by T6.
Definitely need 1 socket, or two.
Sure it's a alternative if you got enough stats somewhere else, but come on, theres tier 6 gloves. Pop a socket in 'em Blizzard!
this thing might be too good if it would have sockets, passive haste rating is really good!
If your guild forces you to use your t6 token on healing gear (which mine does) this would be awesome having for dps
new stats in the latest patch (2.1.2)
dropped tonight from Shade of Akama
2 red sockets
+4sta socket bonus
Equip: 15 hit rating
Equip: Your attacks ignore 175 of your opponent's armor
These are probably the best DPS Warrior gloves in the game.
Edit: Come 2.4,
(LW) are much better.
They are, You should socket them with 5Strength/5crit or 10 Strength gems for Max Dps, Oh and dont forget the +15 Strength To gloves enchant
Incoming 2.4 mail Gloves "Gauntlets of Rapidity", not as good as these, but better than T6
Just got these, they are absolutely superb. With 2 x
Bold Crimson Spinel
and the +15 strength enchant these gloves have a massive 150 AP, plus the added ArP. Obviously if you're already hit-capped the 15 hit rating won't be any use, but what that does offer is some room for switching around some of your gear without nerfing yourself.
Tier 6 gloves are okay, but to be perfectly honest I can't see myself replacing these until Wrath of the Lich King. :)
tbh %30 unbuffed crit is enough for fury warriors . but AP is never enough :) with Leader of the pack aura and shammy agi totem ( + mongoose procs ) you got crit more than enough actually . so putting 2x 10str gems will be the best way imo.
The truth is an ideal melee group will not always have room for a druid. so, with kings and paw at 30% crit unbuffed you may be running 31-32% only. Think about it. enhancement shaman, fury warrior, ret pally, and usually 2 rogues per raid. (ret pally is actually very useful for the buffs they add for melee; even if you dont have this you may also have an arms warrior in that group for 4% blood frenzy) As well as this, guilds up in BT and Hyjal would generally keep a feral druid around for its tanking abilities..as its dps does not scale QUITE as well as a rogues or a warriors given current itemization.
Plus, like AP, technically you can never have enough crit. Flurry uptime is only increased by adding more crit. The reason there is a "Soft cap" for crit is that the amount of flurry uptime your crit adds does not scale very well past about 35%
How do these add up for retnoobs?
Picked them up cheap in a raid that was warrior-light, not too sure what to do with them now, normally I'm a healbot.
Have about 450 ArP these included, 1800 AP and 25% ish crit. Not on hitcap (some way away in fact).
