Evidently, it was too hard to get this to drop, seeing as the highest world mob droprate is currently a Venture Co. Shredder (Stranglethorn), and the rest are in Gnomeregan.

Though, in my opinion, two Essences of Fire is a little steep for such a seemingly insignificant reagent.

Personally i would have to say this schematic is completely useless. Since you can very easily farm the Fused Wiring from target dummys, there is absolutely no point in getting this schematic. If the mats were elemental fire or something, maybe. But as it is, it's in your best interest to buy the mats for the target dummies rather than buying two Essence of Fire, as well as this schematic.

From the 2.1 patch notes:
"Essences (Earth, Fire, Air, Water, Living) have had their drop rates significantly increased. Also Outland creatures that dropped motes will now have a chance of dropping essences as well."

With this change, I expect that 2 Essences of Fire won't be bad at all.

Don't try to get away from the guards because you can't.
While in combat, you cannot uncheck "At War", and they will follow you forever. They will not tether.

Get Naked, Kll Xizzer, Die, Run back, Profit.

This schematic is too inconvenient to get and requires a jewelcrafter made item (delicate copper wiring) besides.

There's an easier way:

Make some advanced target dummies: https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=4392

Use the dummies. When they explode after about 15 seconds, loot them. They have a roughly 15-20% drop rate on Fused Wiring, in addition to dropping components to make more dummies with.

I would never use this schematic to make a fused wiring, the target dummy method is much better. I think the main reason any engineer would want this schematic is so it will get filtered out when looking for schematics on the auction house.

Once you learn it, it no longer shows up on the AH when using the "usable" check box. Frankly, it annoyed me to see it up there on the AH for 100g, so I went and killed that goblin in Winterspring, waited for him to respawn, then bought the schematic from him and learned it.

I've had a character parked at each vendor for months. Check at random when I think of it and I have never seen the pattern. I suspect that there are people who sit right on top of the re-stocks because these things are always in the auction house for 25-35G.

Patch 2.2:

Schematic: Fused Wiring: Vendors who sell this recipe will now properly restock it after a period of time.

However, it may be faster to kill the vendor and get it when he respawns.

1. it is impossible to kill the shattrath vendor.
2.the vendor is winterspring is killable.
3. confirmed, the schimatic restocks much faster now.

Edit: the timer is on about 10 min now, so the AH price will drop with about 75%.

Can anyone tell me where to get some fused wiring so i can make some Goblin Jumpers? I'm a lvl 43 hunter lvl 165 eng and a stack of fused wiring is like 10-15g on the AH. Wondering how some1 my lvl could get some.

And if you want to make fun of me cause my eng lvl is low for my lvl go ahead.

Okay I have this confirmed, if you kill the one in everlook and wait for the respawn he comes back with this schematic. Yes you loose 25 rep with everlook but this sure beats the hell out of waiting for hours to get it.

This schematic is a waste of gold. Any engineer can get Fused wiring by making target dummies, using them and then collecting the droped items. The mats for the schematic are way more expensive.

I read a few posts here that you could kill the vendor and he respawns with the pattern in everlook, but How did you kill him? says Invalid Target. He is friendly. I'd give 25 rep to Get the pattern for sure to avoid a cat and mouse game.

1) Be willing to lose about 275 rep.
2) Able to take 3 mobs. 2 Level 67's and 1 Level 57.
3) Patience for 6 minutes. The body should dissapear at 5 and reappear at 6.
4) Have 1g 60s to buy it from him.

Confirmed it on Viggz Shinesparked in Lower City a few moments ago after yet more hardware maintenance and restarts for Earthen Ring. Presumably as rare here as Everlook so good luck to all you other engineers out there.

I have been hitting this vendor intermittently for months, buying his "other" patterns for resale on AH. When I first checked him out, I read the above messages regarding killing him, and - as a 40 something mage - figured, "Yeah, that's really going to happen." So I figured the fused wiring schematic was just something I'd never be able to get.

WELL..... this morning, after probably buying from this vendor ten times, minimum, I click on him... and the fused wiring schematic is THERE!

Have no clue why or how. Maybe someone killed him right before I showed up, but other than that I have no explanation.

Just thought folks would like to know.

To sum it all up and double confirm it.
As posted below you kill him.
You shouldn't need this info at this point in the game but just in case:
Open your reputations list ('U' key by dafault) and click Everlook.
Check the 'at war' box.
Kill him.
Lose 25 rep from Everlook.
His body is not lootable.
Res and come back.
Turn off war mode with Everlook.
5 minutes later body is gone.
2 minutes after that he appears.
Buy the schematic from him.
Learn Schematic and locate it under "parts" - grey at 305.

Performed this twice to confirm recieving 2 of these schematics in 15 minutes of time.

Confirmed - If he`s killed , he respawn with the recipe at sale. I just took it out as 55 frostmage and i got the recipe after about 5-6 minutes. Really sweet , great posts guys :)

After many hours and several rolling restarts I can finally confirm the existance of this thing as a rare (and I do mean rare) item for Xizzer Fizzbolt in Everlook. 1g 60s and a lot of luck can make this yours.

After camping the Xizzer Fizzbolt the Everlook Engineering Supplier for over 4 hours, (my teleporter Cooldown ended) I decided to kill the him and wait for him to re-spawn and see what will his new supply hold, to my expectation, he had 5 different limited supply schematics to sell and one of them happen to be the fused wiring. IT was well worth the -25 Reputation, will my pet held off the bruiser I ran out of Everlook, my pet cat de-spawned so it didn't die and i was out of battle. I did this 2 more times to test it out and each and every time he re spawned he had the recipies.

This is Sorv from Area 52. Confirmed I click on "at war" with everlook and then killed him. I died but when I unchecked "At war" and waited for respawn it was there. :) I'm sorry Xizzer, but your days are numbered.

So, does this schematic ever load just normally? And why make it so damn rare? All that does is let level 70's kill the dude and then put the schematic up for beaucoup gold at the AH.

i tried it out on llane today and well im just a lv 53 mage so i deagged four guildies in the 45-48 range and then a 64 and we all help agro on the brusiers whild the 64 killed our lil friend. took forever to get it right but...thx for the help

Confirmed -- still works. Did it today with my 61 Hunter on Eitrigg (PvE). Easy as could be (had to rez the pet). Saved myself 34g over the AH price. :)

The... assassination of Xizzer works on Venture Co. too. Sat and waited for eight hours trying to get this schematic from him the non-deadly way and just gave up. Until i found this other method, did it with my level 61 rogue, sap the bruiser, slash the ribbons out of vendor boy, kidney shot him to stop him running and vanish. Then try to sneak out of Everlook and get out of combat. Go back, pick up schematic and sigh in relief. And of course switch off At War before you return. A mate of mine didn't...

Essence of Fire sells for a maximum of some 70 silver on my server. So it's far cheaper and far more comfortable to kill this guy and get the darn recipe.

If you find that all the copper wires in your auction house are way too expensive (more than 40 silver is.....), simply ask some engineer to craft it for mats. Copper bars are more likely to be sold for a fair price.

EDIT: Copper bar stack 4 gold on my server, so 1 Fused Wiring costs bout 1.4 (essences)+1.2(wires) = 2.6 gold.

It seems that this recipe was bugged. Patch 2.2 will resolve this problem which kept NPCs from renewing this recipe once it was bought. If you are planning to make some quick money by killing the NPC and selling the recipe in your auction house... hurry up, patch 2.2 is near and after its release the recipe will most probably show up again after a maximum of 4 hours.

Killing him and buying the schematic once he respawns still works.

Things you need to know/do:

Go to Reputation page, select Everlook faction, click "At War".
Kill Xizzer Fizzbolt.
Lose 25 reputation points with Everlook.
*Optional* Die, run back to body, rez.
Click "At War" again to make yourself friendly/neutral/whatever.
Wait 5 minutes for respawn.
Buy Schematic: Fused Wiring.
Hearth.

i just farmed 6 of these with my lvl 70 warr, i just took aff ALL gear with durability cept for my axe so for every 1 schematic i only has 35s repair. this seems to be a very lucrative business

Parked an alt behind him for 1.5 days checking often... bought every pattern in Everlook....
Finally brought my main in - set Everlook to 'at war'
Stabby Stabby! ... Ran out of village to get rid of bruiser agro.
Turn off - Everlook 'at war' .. wandered back
As soon as he spawn snagged Fused Wiring pattern.

I can confirm that this indeed works. I am on the Khaz Modan server; I killed him and five minutes later when he spawned, the recipe was there. It is the only time I have seen the recipe. I have been repeating quests for Winterspring Trainer rep, and I constantly checked to see if he had the schematic; he never did. I finally decided to give the killing option a try, and sure enough when he respawned, it was there.

Confirmed they increased the spawn rate in Shatt. I don't know about Everlook. It's not as fast as the Adamantite Rifle. Respawn time is 5 minutes.

As on 2.3.2 I don't really need to kill him. Simply wait about 5 mins and dead one time when my pet agroed hordie. And limited recipes are back :)

The plans for fused wiring normally run for about 5g on tha AH on Llane. If this is the case on your server, it isn't worth the repair bill if the guards can kill you. So unless you are a rogue or hunter, I would advise just buying the pattern from the ah and not worry about paying the extra 3g.

So, I picked up Engineering late at level 35. Spent some hefty money in hopes to get up to 165 and learn jumper cables for my groups.

Well, I get to 165. Iron bars? Easy, can mine them. Whirring Bronze Gizmo? Easy, and easy to make. Flask of Oil? Farmed it beforehand. Silk Cloth? Easy, duh. Shadowgem? Easy, get them while mining.

Oh, but wait a second. Fused Wiring, what the hell is this? Thottbot it, find out that I CAN'T USE UNTIL 275 ENGINEERING? Wow.

Blizzard, your timing blows.

After many hours waiting to buy from either of the vendors in Shattrath City or Everlook, even killing the vendor in Everlook hoping for the schematic to appear when he respawned, I gave up. As Wowhead states briefly when you first search for this item it is no longer sold by those vendors/removed from the game. It now is learned at 275 engineering skill once you specialize as a goblin engineer, maybe gnomish engineering will give it as well at same skill level. Exalted with Stormwind it cost me just over 36 gold. Didn't check the faction the trainer was so might be cheaper if he belongs to something besides Stormwind. Hope my frustration and finding out it is now learned from an engineering trainer after you reach level 275 and specialize will help others cut down on the time they wait to get Jeeves.
