These tickets are the currency for various Brewfest items, including clothing and the special Ram mounts.
Here is a list of ways to get tickets.
(WoWhead has yet to add some Brewfest stuff, so I'll update it with links when I can as well)
Quest - "There and Back Again" - 15 Tickets (
- After you have completed the "Now This Is Ram Racing... Almost", you may pick up this quest. You must travel to either to Kharanos/towards Razor Hill on a ram mount and run near Flynn Firebrew for Alliance or Bok Dropcertain for Horde. The NPC will have an arrow over his head if you have the quest, so that it is easier to see. He will throw you a keg and you must return it to the quest giver. Do this circuit 3 times in 4 minutes to complete the quest. Update : I mistakenly listed this as a daily.
Event - More keg runs
- After you complete "There and Back Again", you may request one more 4-minute ram ride from the quest-giver for the day. For every circuit you complete, you gain another 3 tickets. Thank you supalink for the information. The timer on this is separate from your daily quests, and will reset 12 hours after you requested another mount.
Daily quest- "Bark for ---" - 40 Tickets (There are two quests available per faction, but you may only complete one per day.)
- Also done after "Now This Is Ram Racing... Almost". Two stands at your faction's Brewfest will seek barkers do advertise for them. You must run to four different locations in your factions respective Brewfest-hosting city on a ram mount. (Orgrimmar for Horde, Ironforge for Alliance) The ram mount is needed to complete the objectives, but you may use your regular mount to to the quest giver if you see fit. This seems to have been changed to 40 tickets because the Dark Iron invasion was disabled. However, it is apparently bugged for numerous characters according to Drysc.
Alliance locations : In front of the Bank, Military Ward, Hall of Explorers, and Mystic Ward.
Horde locations : Valley of Strength, Valley of Honor, Valley of Wisdom, and Valley of Spirits.
Quest - "Pink Elekks on Parade" - 40 Tickets
- Travel to the beer gardens outside your faction's other 3 capital cities and kill 3 Pink Elekks per location with the provided item. You must be drunk in order to see the elekks. This quest seems to be unattainable for some level 70 players on a case-by-case basis. Possibly a bug by server/character.
Event - Dark Iron Dwarves. (This event is temporarily disabled)
- Every hour at half past, a legion of Dark Iron Dwarves will pop out of tunneling machines in the ground. You must toss "Complimentary Brewfest Sampler" at the dwarves in order to gain "Keg Protector marks". You gain the samplers by doing a /wave emote at one of the NPCs advertising their respective brews. After you have a mug, use it to drink and toss the mug to a dwarf in front of you. The Keg Protector buff apparently stacks to 25 according to Drysc on the general WoW forums, though I haven't been able to gain more than 24 (This is confirmed as my crummy luck, thanks Pirwzy for the confirmation) . This is not an absolute limit on your ticket-farming, as you can turn in your current buffs and return to the battle. There will likely be many other players raring for an extra handful of tickets, so try to time your toss to coincide with their spawning. Each driller seems to spawn two invaders.
A note on gaining Complimentary mugs. You will automatically get another mug after throwing away your original mug as long as you are in range of a barker. Contrary to a previous version of my post, there is NO need to spam emotes for a supply of mugs. Many thanks to irocksocksoff for this correction.
I will try to update this a bit more.
A note on gaining Complimentary mugs. If you preform a /wave emote multiple times the creation of a new mug seems to be queued up, as they are unique. You will gain a new mug within seconds of tossing your previous one. A lengthy enough queue can give you an infinite amount of mugs for an invasion. If you are concerned for the convenience of others, the emote spam can be performed from the outskirts of the Beerfest grounds, out of emote range of the general population
This is actually not true, and will get you reported for spamming. You merely have to /wave at a Barker once, and he will send you a new booze as soon as your current one in your inventory is gone.
Here's a little, tip, go into your video options and untick the bos that says full screen glow effect, to disable that darn annoying drunken fuzziness.
I got 27 on daily keg run.. yay!
remember there is a barrel of apples right at the stable where you start and are some just past where the guy throws you a keg.. so you can keep the gallop at max if you hit all 3 apple barrels each time around.
On the PTR these are removed and can be traded for the new 'ticket' which is a token called the
Brewfest Prize Token
. It is unknown if this trade will make it to the retail version of World of Warcraft so don't destroy your tickets in frustration just yet (if you saved some from last year).
where do you turn them in at
plz tell me they're repeatable!
i need 38 more for goggles
Is this quest repeatable? I did it twice on my main but can't on my alts was it jsut a glitch?
Edited, Oct 3rd 2007 7:49pm by Dudexxx
what are these for?
The Brewfest prize tickets are for brize you can get if you have enof tickets. You can spend them for clothes, beer or a Special ram mount. I know that the alliance can spend them at a female gnome between 2 very large beer taps.
where do you buy the stuff at?
I wonder how many you can get each day... I've just made all the quest's I could in(outside) IF and I got 90, possible to get more per day or I need to wait 24hours?
Where can I get more of these?
Made all Orgrimmar quests and got 90 of them.
Need 600 for mount. Any suggestions?
2 of the quests you can do every day :) the barking in Orgrimmar and then one where you get the kegs.
gotta admit they screwed the pooch on this "festival"
2 daily quests for a total of ~90 tickets a day unless you do the keg run twice a day. lame
there is a way when the dark iron dwarves attack dont know if this event happens to horde or not but you can hit dark iron dwarves with the mugs that u throw go to the ticket redeemer and ask for tickets for ur service of protecting the Beer kegs!
Haven't confirmed, but the event could be during the times when the Shadowhunter from Zangermash come to visit.
happens once every hour, at the same time 13,20 14,20 15,20 16,20 etc, but the time change everyday so if they came ,20 one day they perhaps come ,34 tomorrow
Is it even worth getting the ram? I dont need another level 40 mount - are they faster than my horse etc....heard a rumor that they are as fast as an epic horse...
Ok - in an attempt to clear up SOME of the confusion about brewfest, this post is about the quests, tickets, and the "racing ram" reward
As far as getting tickets there are some quests you can do once, and 2 that you can do daily.
Quests available to horde and alliance
Pink Elekks On Parade - not repeatable, 40 tickets
"Catch the Wild Wolpertinger!" - no tickets and not repeatable, but gives you a neat wolpertinger pet, and is required for the barker quest ill detail later
"Now This is Ram Racing... Almost" -- 10 tickets, this is a quest you must do before being allowed to do...
"There and Back Again" - repeatable every 12 hours, and is basically running barrels back and forth from the ram master to a stranded guy down the road, each barrel you return gives you 3 tickets
"Bark for the (name depends on ally or horde side)" - repeatable once a day, 40 tickets- doing this quest each day along with "There and Back Again" will easily get you 600 tickets needed for your ram - now, about the ram....
Firstly you must be lvl 40 to aquire the "hand stamp" for 600 tickets - after you get the hand stamp you can buy either - i dont think both, not 100% sure on what though - a regular speed mount or an epic mount - as far as the prices, im pretty sure the epic costs 100g, the regular anywhere from 10g-40g
if i missed anything, im not that sorry, this post took forever to type out
OK, so I got an extra pair of Ram Racing Reins from the Ram Racing Apprentice. Does anyone have any clue how I'm supposed to use them? They say quest item, but there's no quest!
ok the ram that you use with the reins or what ever thay are can go faster than epic land mount but it can tier fast.
Just to clear things up a bit more.
I now have my epic ram on mannoroth it rocks.
Heres what i did.
Frist off im a 70 horde mage so i ported easy for the elks quest.
tb=bottem of lift by main pool
uc=on way out of city
silver moon(sm)=to get here port to shatt, then take shatt commens portt to silver moon; that was my way anyway.
It let me do that twice. for some reason.
I was doing the protect the beer kegs one but they stoped it on mannoroth horde side, not sure if they did for everyone else. To check do a "/wave" to one of the ppl in front of the brew stands in front of org. if he gives you a drink in your sac your still g2g. I have heard that they attack at different times on different servers on mannoroth it was hourly: 12:30, 1:30, 2:30...etc..
I did the pet quest and i did the BRD quest but didn't receive any tickets.
The two repeatable quest for me that let me get my ram were as follows.
Talk to the ogre/troll in booths.
Make sure reigns are linked on your taskbar.
Speed off full speed twords the bucket by the other quest npc with 2 rams behind him.
Every time you pass one you get rid of your ticks.
Takes practice! but is repeatable if failed..
Keep him at a yellow pace, drop to green if nearing 75. Path: i went to bank, then up along the right out by bg building, then back out and around twords thralls chamber keep same path past fp bridge to flags by mage hutt. after that go back and off the ledge, keep a decent pace but do not become exaushted, when you get back to npc with rams behind him get rid of ticks and full speed to original quest giving npc, i hold down "s" by him to stop while i turn in, "you must be mounted within the alloted time to turn in for 40 tickets."
the other is the keg run's. the quest giving npc is the guy on right by the two that have rams behind them. how to/path: link reigns on bar, spam reigns non stop, stay full speed. Tip-stop by barrels of apples to clear ticks and stay full speed. my path- after a few tires best path i found was using only 2 different barrels. start out full speed twords keg giver hes half way twords razor hill, stay off main road. stay to left of it. as you run you'll see a barrel right b4 the path ends that forces you on main road b4 keg man, fill up as you pass close to it, then go to keg giver, don't go all the way to him, to do this i kept my main bag open by pressing "b" it will take practice but theres a point b4 the guy, as long as you cross it you can turn around and hit the first barrel and you'll have a keg, keep back up to quest giver but don't do like most nubs and fill up first, go around the left side of him and turn in first, when you turn in your alloted more time, then keep circle up fill up behind hut and repeat, using this method requires only 2 barrels to stay full speed, and only 3 stops per run, i was able to collect around 20-30ish tickets per run with this as well, so to the ppl that said you can only earn 90 tickets a day, wrong..lol..i was able to get well over 100 aday even without the invasion for beer..
P.S. to duel weild cupz pick up the secret plans left after each invasion of brefest right in center of area. then a quick trip to brd sneak back to bar and the quest npc will run then you talk to him, if theres no digging machine in the front when you enter exit and reset thats how you know hes there...
Hope this helps, sry so long, but l2read imo.
and no i will not l2spell cuz i had too much coffee and i don't care..fyi incase anyone flames..
this is so stupid you can only do the quest once, and then if u fail u have to wait until the next day, those rams are bogus they always get exhausted, wtf i was a hair away from turning it in,stupid ram!
ok first of all the rams tire bcuz u make them run too fast if u have it to where the icon of the orb is yellow it only adds 1 on the fatigue when its red it adds 5 but when its green it decreases the fatigue by 2 to maintain at one speed click the reins once every two seconds: count 2 mississippi's and click. Do this repeatedly and u will maintain speed and prevent the ram to tiring too fast. Also : When the fatigue orb is green you go slow, yellow is medium, and red is fast. AGAIN you do not want to be in the red although its fast it tires the ram too fast.
How far in BRD is that guy? Cords?
you can do the barking for Brewfest quest every 12 hours (twice a day)
ok, first of all im in alliance (gnome mage) just so yall know.
i want to know if i can save my tickits from this year to next year.
second thing, after you collece 600 tickits and get the hand stamp do you have to buy you ram with extra money? and is it just a normal 60% faster ram? does it look cooler? etc...
and what do youguys mean by the ellik quest?
i dont know if it was a glitch, but if i failed the barking for brewfest quest..all i did was go into my quest log and abandon it, then i would be able to try it again
I just finished a perfect run on the alliance side and delivered 18 kegs for a total of 54 tickets. If I could do that ever run (every 12 hours) with the daily quest also that's 148 tickets a day! You could have the ram mount in just over 4 days.(which is about the end of brewfest) Anyway that 18 kegger put me over 600 tickets so I have my ram now.
To do the 18 keg run
I use only the first apple basket and I only run far enough to get the keg (using a jump turn) and start heading back. I have to drop from the top speed for just a little bit but it saves way more time than going to the last apple basket. If you time it right you can get to 95-99 (near exaustion) before getting the apple basket on the way back every time without ever getting fatigued.
FYI: Ram mounts are normal prices (10g for regular 100g for epic) and if you're not 60 yet you can go ahead and buy both mounts so you have the epic barrel armored ram when you hit 60.
One question: I read above that you have to be 40 to get the stamp for the mount. Is that true?
Last I heard they stopped the dark iron dwarves from attacking because people were complaining about macros or something. But I think they should have replaced it with something else to get tickets. Oh well. I have 230 and that is from 3 days. Hopefully I get my 600. I have wanted a ram forever but the dwarf women are so butt ugly and I suck at getting rep.
im still confused, evin when you get the hand stamp you still have to BUY the ram with your own money? thats a rip of whats so specail that deserves 600 tickets and 10g?
Is it just me, or has the radius in which the barrels activate shrunk recently? My computer could just be lagging.. though it happens with one of my friends, on a relatively good computer..
where is that keg run. also how many tickets do u get?
exacly how long dose this festavle last cuz i have 154 tickets and im gona try getting the 60 ram
Is Brewfest going to be an annual festival or do I have to spend all my tickets before Oct. 16?
okay when i turn in "bark for the...." at the bottom it says "you can do 9 more daily quests today" what is this all about cuz i cant do any more than that one and the keg runs. if there is anyway of doing more please tell me, i dont know if im going to have enough for my ram.
