This item has been added in patch 2.3, purchasable for 60 Badge of Justice from G'eras in Shattrath City.
Other 300 AC+ Belts:
With the sockets this seems like a much better belt for PvE, would love to hear peoples thoughts on PvP viability of something like this.
Lots of people comparing this to Belt of Natural Power, which is fine, but tbh I don't view that as a kitty dps belt, as it is easily surpassed in AP and crit by Girdle of Treachery. Just did some scratchpad math on this vs. Girdle of Treachery and got the following:
Socketing this with a Delicate Living Ruby and a Shifting Nightseye you get:
Vs Girdle of Treachery with 2xDelicate Living Ruby
So by equipping this belt you gain:
+162 armor in kitty, obviously this is helpful if you ever have to drop bear
+18 Hit Rating
-6 Agi (cant be bothered working that out, but I believe its roughly .3% crit? Feel free to correct me.)
So some more hit, ap and armor, but less crit, dodge and stam. Hard call to make, especially if youre not desperate for hit. Definitely wont be the first thing I save badges for.
For a rogue, assuming both are socketed with
Delicate Living Ruby
(since the socket bonus of +3 Str is all but useless):
Waistguard of the Great Beast
+73 Attack Power
+1.517% Crit Chance
+1.139% Hit Chance
Girdle of Treachery
+95 Attack Power
+1.276% Crit Chance
Between this and War-Feathered Loop (the other DPS belt from badges) this belt appears to be better PvE Enhancement Shaman belt, unless the armor pen. on WFL is greater than a 31 AP increase (assuming 1 str living ruby, 1 str/stam nightseye)
Especially if you're not at the (low) hit cap.
with all due respect, what rogue with the slightest clue would spend 60 badges on an item which is clearly meant for feral druids?
A Rogue who has bought as many of the Rogue pieces as they need. Deep Shadow and Bladeangel are upgrades from this, but if a Rogue didn't have access to those and still had Badges to burn, why not?
As an aside, many Rogues are buying the season 3 Feral bracers instead of the Rogue ones. Just because an item has Strength doesn't mean it can't be an upgrade for them if it's a step up in ilvl with otherwise appropriate stats.
edit: although with
Belt of the Silent Path
becoming available in the next couple of months, a Rogue would have to be quite desperate for an immediate upgrade to save badges for this belt over that one.
Now that Nether Vortex's aren't bop and are readily available for 15 badges a piece. You can get a Belt of Natural power (Best Druid tanking belt) for peanuts
I wish I didn't buy Waistguard of the great beast in 2.3, 60 badges down the hole.
having gemmed this belt with a 15 stam and 10 agility gem set, i'm actually keeping it over the BoNP
if i were to gem the BoNP with 2x +10 agi gems i'd be looking at very slightly more agility, very slighty less health, some more intellect and less strength, but its the armor versus the +hit
personally i see this as being equal to BoNP depending on gems, and wouldn't spend the money on something thats not strictly better
both nice pieces, but this is the one i got first
I have Tree-Mender's Belt, but this thing is much better due to gem slots and hit rating.
Fun to see old comments as always on gear. Belt of natural power is obviously worse due to less AGI (AGI becomes insane for us druids, even more so than now), but its a phase2 items, and you'll haft to wait for this one in phase 3 :)
