Part of the "Brewfest" event starting October 2nd and going until October 16th on live servers, this is a stamp that will allow you to ride Brewfest Rams during the festival.
The official WoW site describes it as:
"Adventurers can show their ram-riding skills by speaking with Neill Ramstein or Ram Master Ray. Before they'll trust you with their precious rams, though, you'll need to prove you can control one! Once you've proven your expertise at handling the rams, you can earn some Brewfest Prize Tickets by picking up some kegs of brew from Kharanos or Razor Hill and bringing them back to the fest. "

anyone try to buy this stamp and the mounts pre lvl 40 even if you cant actually ride yet ?
1: Get 600 tickets
2: Buy stamp
3: Buy mount
You MUST be lvl 40 to buy the stamp
60% mount costs 10g
100% mount costs 100g
If you've do the dailys 600 tickets are easy to get with in a few days
(It's like idiot proof)
i don't think i can get 600 tickets this year!!! so can i save this years tickets and use them next year???
After you get the brewfest mount, can you do the kegs' quest more than once daily? I keep asking but nobody seems to know.
The item says it begins a quest, is it some long quest you have to do?.. or is it like one of the "speak to.."-quest that really doesn't take any effort to complete?
How to get 600 Tickets.
The festival started Wednesday, 3 oct.
It ends Tuesday 16 oct.
So u have: 14 days.
600 tickets / 13 = 46
So that means you have to collect 46 tickets a day.
Ram riding: you can get 11 kegs MAX. the way im doing it. Im not gonna tell my secret route, but normal people get about 9 kegs, with that route you get about 11.
11 x 3 tickets = 33 tickets.
You can now shout once a day. = 40 tickets.
33+40=73 tickets a day.
600/73 = 8.2xxxx so 9 days.
14 - 9 = 5. So u have 5 days spare if you want to.
For those that cant do the shouterquest:
Start at max speed asap u have the quest. Keep running towards the apple keg inside the ram-hirers tent. Eat, maintain maximum speed but do NOT slap anymore till you get to the AH. If you have below 30 fatigue, you can get to max speed anytime, you will not get fatigued cause at about 80 fatigue ur ram starts to slow down if you do not loosen rains anymore.
Go from AH to Valley of Honour (in front of the BG house), to Valley of widsom (outside thrall house) to Valley of spirits, (near First aid trainer).
Then , jump of the roofs, back outside. When you have about 30 fatigue before you exit org, start to run at max speed again, but make sure to stop at the Apples near the Ram-hirer.
There, hope it helps :)
I haven't seen this mentioned yet, but you can do the Keg Delivery twice per day, every 12 hours. This brings the potential tickets earned per day to 106. 33 each Delivery plus 40 from Barking.
Well i have been getting alot of tickets this seems pretty doable. i have found that when i wake up at about 8 in the morning i can do the barrel quest then about 10 pm before i sign off for the night i can do the barrel quest again, Then do it again in the morning. I get about 27 tickets per barrel run ( 9 kegs 3 tickets each) twice a day plus the 40 tickets so i average 94 tickets a day
Just got my 600 tickets and at level 56 I was able to buy BOTH the Brewfest Ram AND the Swift Brewfest Ram! Can't ride the epic ram until 60, but at least I could buy it and save it till then.
Since its almost over, I can give away the Alliance's secret to getting 11-13 kegs each delivery trip. There is still no official word on if you can still complete the quest after brewfest is over (for those who haven't hit 40 yet) because Pol Amberstill --is still at the Ram Ranch in Dun Morogh--
Here's what I did for the delivery quest, depending on my wireless connection I got anywhere from 11 to 13 kegs.
1. Get reins from Pol Amberstill
2. Hotkey reins to 1
3. Accept Quest.
4. Spam key as you run south towards Kharanos, aiming for the apple basket across the bridge.
5. As you pass the basket, run up the hill in a bee line towards the spot between the barrel thrower and the stack of barrels.
6. Keep running south past him, there is a flag with a basket of apples, whip a u-turn at the apples and run back the opposite way.
7. Make sure when you run back to Pol Amberstill to throw him the keg, you run PAST the flag next to the tree, this is sort of the "throw" marker and I've never seen my character throw the keg before this.
8. As long as you hit both apple baskets, you never have to drop below Gallop.
There were a few times where the game wouldn't register hitting an apple basket and I'd get exhausted. I've found that running directly INTO the basket helped reduce the number, but you can't account for good old fasioned lag.
Can you still get the ram after the event if you with the Horde?
Here are some screenshots taken at the NPC
I caught this in Lootlink first. Apparently there are two different Hand Stamps. This hand stamp,
, came first. There doesn't appear to be any data on that one. Maybe it has a better mount, or a secret reward? No idea. The stamp on the page you're looking at now is the version that appeared 2 days after Brewfest and is currently being sold. Someone may want to look into this.
I'm up to 536 tickets right now, with more than a week to go. I doubt I'll have any trouble getting myself a riding ram--extra cool since I'm Horde. Whoever said this mount was "hard" to get is a fool; all it takes is an initial investment of about half an hour (for the starter quests), and then about 12-15 minutes per day split into two sessions (12 hours apart for the keg runs). Grinding rep requires hours of dull low-level questing, or expensive cloth turn-ins, or endless BG queues (depending on the mount you want). This mount is a perfect goal for casual players who can't always sit down for 4 or 6 hours at a stretch every day.
The math works out fairly simply, for those of you who are wondering. Start with 15 tickets for the Now This Is Ram Racing... Almost quest, plus 40 for the pink Elekk quest. That's 65 so far (some of us were lucky enough to get to do the Elekk quest twice, but it doesn't make a big difference in the long run). From there on out, it's 40 tickets per day from the barker quest, and between 24 and 30 tickets, twice per day, from the barrel return activity (for simplicity I'll use the number 27). So, it works out to 65 + ( * n), where n is the number of days you keep at it. 27*2=54, and Brewfest goes for 14 days (2nd through the 16th). We end up with 65 + (94*14) tickets, or 1,381 tickets--more than enough to buy the ram stamp (600), a festival chest piece (200), shoes (100) and hat (50), a pony keg (50) and the beer goggles (100). All those items total out to 1100 tickets. Even if you aren't that great at doing keg runs, it should be almost impossible to get less than that amount if you get on for a few minutes twice a day and keep at it. See? Easy.
Well how fast is the mourt really? :P
A trained Mountain Bear mount or a Huge Stag mount for both factions would have been a good idea. They're 'mountain-y' kinda animals, and only one new model would have to have been made. It's not like Bliz has any problem making new mount models...look at the Trading Card Game prizes (giant turtles?)!
I was trying to get 600 tickets to get this mount, but it doesn't sound like it's worth it. Especially if it's the same as the Ambersill ones. Grats to Horde, at least you got a new unique mount. But Alli are very used to seeing these rams, don't think I need to bust my butt to get one just like them. Shame Bliz couldn't have put a little more creativity into this one.
Having that cross faction mount is pretty cool, same ram as the alliance but now that the horde has it we are about equal with cross faction mounts.
Where's my damn kodo then? ^^
Hard to understand why people say that the alliance is a bunch of whiners after reading some of the posts here.
Considering that Brewfest is a brand new event which in part gives the horde an opportunity to pick up an alliance mount, I'd be willing to bet that there will be a similar event within a couple/few months that both horde and ally will both be able to participate in which will offer up a horde mount.
then its poinless to try,if your below 40 or not because u still gotta pay.
what about amberstill ranch last time i checked they sold rams?
if Alliance gets undead horses for Hallow's End will you quit whining?
Don't forget you allies get the Frostsaber(or was it wintersaber?) mount. The only epic mount ridable with 75 riding skill afaik
Also I wish they called the mouns 'Racing Ram' and 'Swift Racing Ram'
Got my yesterday 5 in the morning.
i can't say its nice because i don't got riding skill yet so i don't know.
I dont know if pol amberstill just is a festival char... I think he works at the useal ram place so do someone of u know if u can buy fest rams from him after brewfest?
Please someone answer me:
Iam 27 now, i want to buy this mount... If i get the 600 tickets, then i can get that stamp, but i wont be level 40 before the festive end... will it be possible for me to buy the mount after the event, i have my hand stamped? (at level 40)
Got the Swift Brewfest Ram at level 51 after getting the hand stamp, so it is definitely possible to get the epic ram before 60; you probably can't get the regular before 40 though, because the minimum level for the quest from the hand stamp is 40. Given the level of positive reaction to the event though, it's likely that brewfest will come around again next year, and I'd bet if you still have your hand stamp, you can get your mount then (though, personally, I'd hate to wait a year for something like this, I guess that's better than nothing).
And for those of you saying these are exactly the same as the Dwarven mounts, you obviously haven't compared the two closely. The epic brewfest ram's barding is distincly different; one thing of particular note is the actual brewfest symbol on the saddle blanket.
is brewfest supposed to be every october?
if u mean the regular ram,i think its at smberstill, but then again ive never gotton a ram.
Pretty sure brewfest is the WOW Octoberfest (oktoberfest?) so yeah i think its every October. :)
o,and for the people that said you can get like 50to60 tickets a try,it also depends on your computer,or a.k.a lag.
I discussed this theme about the mount with a Game Master...
if u collect all the 600 tickets, i will be able to buy the handstamp item... If u are level 40, u can use it to start a quest, which ends at the Ram Master boy. Then u will be able to buy the normal mount for 10, and the epic swift one for 100G.
The ram dealer npc wont be available after the brewfest event, so if u are level 29 (for example, iam on that level now), you can buy the handstamp, but if u dont reach the level 40 before the event ends, u wont be able to start and finish the quest, and get the ram...
Got mine today
if you would read only the past few comments you would all find the answers in my post ...
you can get the rains from the assistant but you can not use them. the ram ist just an ordinary land mount, nothing special about it, exept of course a slight difference in appearence ..
and yes, the mount doesn't require any faction reputaion or race or class. only riding 150 (for the swift one). gee why doesn't the quest and the item iteself exist on thottbot -.-
Did you ever realize why the Brewfest was in October? Octoberfest? Lots of drinking in Europe so Blizzard probably thought it would be cool to have a brewfest in Blizzard. Well w/e got my ram today and its so cool
Confirmed. You can buy BOTH 2 mounts at 40+ level.
I'm level 49 and bought epic mount for 100g and %60 one for 10g.
After you get "Honorary Brewer" Hand Stamp with your 600 ticket you give it to Driz Tumblequick.
There! You can buy mounts from him now :)
i just bought this, level 32, mind you, and you CANNOT accept the quest before you are level 40. with 1 day of brewfest left, i have no intention to get to 40..time to wait another year...
i thought it ended oct. 16?
Confirmed it now,
the hand stamp does not fade over time
. When I turned 40 in October I went and got my stamp and my 10G Brewfest Ram. Today I went back expecting to have to get another 600 tickets, but all I did was go up to the vendor and voila! I bought my epic ram~!
