Does anyone know if you will get more then one pattern?

For example. I have 3 tailors. One got the plans for the red dress. I also have a Leatherworker. But she didnt get a plan. I've been thinking you might get one pattern per day or maybe week. I'm unsure, but I'd love to be able to do the boots aswell.

Any comments or inside to this would be most gratefull. Thanks.

Is it possible to receive this on a character started after the event began as long as you level the character and leather working up to appropriate levels?

This pattern is now available via the Smokeywood Pastures vendor in Orgrimmar and Ironforge (possibly other cities too), along with the clothes patterns and the cider recipe. The pattern is bind on pickup.

FYI - I picked up this pattern during Winter Veil but was still not the appropriate level to learn the pattern (requires 285).

I finally trained the pattern at 285 on January 13th, 2008 and it showed as Orange on the skill level.

I started to make 10 boots hoping to get at least 10 skill points before it went yellow. I made 5 boots and did not receive a skill up so stopped and put the thread and leather towards some wicked leather items. Unfortunately my plan of 10 cheap skill points were dashed.

I wanted to post this as a warning to anyone else hoping to skill up on the Winter Boots at 285. To add insult to injury I may have to store these on an alt for a year as their resale value has now dropped considerably. Unless I have a fire sale in July!

Okay, this is weird. The boots are at level 285. My LW was at 368. It's been too exspensive for me for mats to level beyond that. No problem, I decided to make a bunch of boots to give to friends and put a few in the AH.

I made about 20-25 pairs. About every 3 to 4 boots I made, I got a leatherworking skill-up. I went from 368 to 374. I can't get the last step to 375 making boots, but I'm certainly not complaining. Wonder if this is a bug or a hidden Christmas gift from Blizzard? Don't matter to me. I'm smiling.

Try using these to level LW and report back.

I used the Winter Boots pattern to level my leatherworking from 368 to 374. I kid you not. It was shown as gray and is listed as having a level of 285 to make, yet every 3 or 4 that I made, I leveled my skill, up to 374. I cannot seem to get the last step to 375, though, but I'm not minding that much. I made a Bag of Many Hides, which was yellow at 374, and that didn't even level me. Guess I need to make another bag or two.

Anyway, I wonder if this is a bug from a new holiday item or maybe a secret Christmas gift to leatherworkers from Blizzard? I don't care, it worked for me. I had not leveled my LW above 368 because I didn't have enough mats and mats were too expensive. For the cost of a few rugged leather and wool cloth, my LW is now almost maxed.

As soon as this pattern appeared, I made loads for all my friends and got loads of points - from 355 to 370. Came back to finish it off last night, and made 12 more pairs with not a single point - me thinks Blizz has 'fixed' this.
I'm not complaining though as lwing is a p'in in the proverbial, and I'm still getting more points for green drums than clefthoof gear and bags! 300g later and I'm sure I'll get those last few points... >.<

Yeah they "fixed" it like you said, I thought I could get my LWing up me being at 285 but I didn't go up at all with the 6 I made. Thanks blizz.
