When farming for your Vibrant Plumes for your Darkmoon Faire Necklace, you'll find yourself with PLENTY of mageweave if you farm as early as 50 at the Harpy location in far northwest Ferelas.

These are all decent spots mentioned above, but none compare to the Pirates in Tanaris. They are closely grouped, and have a very fast respawn rate. As a 70 Mage I was able to farm over 15 stacks in an hour.

As a 70 Warlock just dotting and kiting I got the best drop rate from the Dunemaul Ogres in Tanaris. I tried the Pirates and although the respawn rate is fast the drop rate just wasn't the greatest IMO.
The Ogres had a better drop rate and still a very fast respawn rate.

The pirates in Tanaris were the best for me as a level 70 mage. Plus, they drop volatile rum, so you can get smashed while your grind.

Guy's It's much easier and faster to Farm them from the level 41-43 Furlbogs (or Whatever they are) in Feralas. I stumbled upon them last night looking for a quest, they drop alot, and respawn fast. Some drop 3-4 most drop atleast 2, and it doesn't require a level 60 or 70..In 10-15 minutes my 46 Shammy farmed 2 stacks.. no joke. Very rarely do they just drop money, but even if a few don't drop any, you make it up on the ones that drop 3 and 4 at a time.

For horde I have found the alliance mining cave located at 53,12 in Blasted Lands as a great source for Mageweave. If you are on a PvP server, alliance don't have any reason to go in there so you are able to just farm away.

Been to a load of spots, and if you have the damage, Sunken Temple is a great place to get mageweave, those little demon slaves off the trolls in the instance itself ive noticed drop 3 - 4 each two or three you kill. So a nice place to go to

My favorite place to farm Mageweave is Nethergarde Mine as Bloodlot mentioned above.
It's only available to Horde as the MoBs are friendly to Alliance which means there's almost never any competition. There's tons of MoBs in there and they're fairly easy to kill even at lower levels and super easy with AOE at high levels. They have a good Mageweave droprate, if you're a miner there's Mithril and Thorium veins, and there's a chance to get one of the Draenethyst Spheres for some extra greens and perhaps a Blue.
After the Shattering, my new favorite place to farm Mageweave for high level characters is Stratholme.
One 20 minute run (15 minutes of which was spent looting.
I'd kill for a "Loot All in vicinity" function
) killing just the trash on dead side netted me 16 stacks of Mageweave. Wear a home city tabard and you can farm some rep while you're at it.

If you're questing in hinterlands, the vilebranch trolls are a good sources as well. You have to kill 45 of them for a quest there...if you do that, you'll probably end up with 2-3 stacks. Not the best aoe spot though.

If you are lower level (40-42) and trying to grind mageweave for tailoring (which you will) the best spot to farm is the ogres in Feralas at Gordunni Outpost (north of Camp Mojache). They are 40-43 and give mageweave on a consistent basis, moreso than the gnolls, plus they have considerably less HP (especially the mages).

I have a 70 frost mage, and i found that farming the ogres was a very easy choice. The ogres (in tanaris, dunemaul) are more spread out so it wasn't very effective to AoE them too much, so if i needed to drink or go and grab a few guys i would just use my elemental and bring em to me.. throw out an arcane explosion or blizzard and get mageweave. i farmed about 15 stacks in an hour doing this constantly.

The best place to farm mageweave is in the Hinterlands, the trolls drop a ton of it, especially the ones in Jintha'Alor. It's also profitable for a tailor because these trolls also drop the wildvine you use for the dreamweave set, which sells for 15g per chestpiece on my server. However, I believe most of the guys in Jintha'Alor are elite, so it helps if you're a higher level or get a friend to help you out.

Jadefire Glen in Felwood, just north of Deadwood Village (the Southern one).
It's about 1min run from Emerald Sanctuary, huge groups fairly tightly packed, relatively quick respawn time. Only thing I really disliked was there's alot of casters, which makes it a bit of work to bunch them all up - but even that's good in the sense that even if you're a squishy Mage with crappy gear, you'll resist 90% of their damage and the melees don't hit that hard. So you can basically go as long as your mana bar lasts, and they respawn fast enough that you'll never be sitting around playing with yourself for too long.

Also, like Bloodlot said, the alliance cave just north of the Nethergarde camp (around 53, 12) you can get tons of it. I was getting 2 to 3 mageweave per kill. I gave Sunken Temple a shot since the alt I'm farming for is a tailor/enchanter and the BoE greens from dungeons make for nice enchanting mats.
After 20 minutes of that I had 1 stack of mageweave and 2 greens so I hearthed to Shat, ported to Org and flew to Tanaris (7 minute flight).
I followed the circular edge of the Dunemaul compound killing the ogres one by one in cat form. Occasionally I would lap myself and there were no more ogres on the edge so I cut into the middle for a while and back out to my position on the edge. When my hearth was back up I left.
So thats about 45 minutes of killing ogres and I'm looking at 12 stacks of mageweave. Minus the 1 from Sunken Temple makes 11.

Yeah, I went to most of the places suggested here for farming, and the ogres were good, but I'd have to say, the best, and most FUN of all of the places is definetely the pirates in Lost Rigger Cove in Tanaris.
If you're high enough, mass killing is no problem at all, and even if not, you can pick them off. Not only is there a high drop rate for mageweave (way more than the ogres or bandits as far as my killing has shown me..), but you get rum! Who doesn't love rum?

I tried all the places listed above and found that Jintha'Alor was the best for a variety of reasons.
1) No competition - On my server, at least, the Tanaris ogres and pirates are very popular places for grinding/farming. Jintha'Alor is invariably empty so you have all the spawns to yourself.
2) Higher level mobs - Since the trolls are 47-51, you get more mageweave per kill, on average, than you do on the mid 40s Tanaris mobs.
3) Mining/Herbing - I ended up with several stacks of mithril/truesilver/thorium in addition to the mageweave I was after. There are also plenty of ghost mushrooms in the cave for the herbalists.
4) Wildvine - These sell for 1-3g each on the AH and you can net 20+ per hour.
I made a continual circuit of the top two levels including the cave and, after two hours, I ended up with 24 stacks of mageweave.

In Ferelas, there's a massive area SW of Camp Mojache with Woodpaw Gnolls. L41-45 abouts.
Drops here are very good. And Thottbot seems to reflect that (Sort the list by Kills primarily, and Drop% secondary)
Got 3 stacks (60 total) in an hour at L55.... since they drop quick and there are hundreds of them to kill
评论来自
Thottbot
The drop rate for mageweave is ~ 60% on all deadwood furbolgs in felwood. That is high, if not the highest.
But as a bonus you get to raise faction with the timbermaws by killing them. Two birds with one stone.
Even better deadwoods cluster in groups of 3-5 so if your a mage there is AoE fun to be had.

The dunemaul outpost of ogres in Tanaris is a good spot. Ogres as a farmers wet dream since they have low hp, don't run and don't have any debuffs.
Two stacks in an hour with a 60 hunter in agi/crit gear.
The problem with other mobs is that they run, not because they can hurt you at 60, but it's annoying to have to go after them to loot them. Ogres come to you to deliver their mageweave.

I took one of the above posters suggestions and tried the Deadwood Furlbogs in southern Felwood as a source for Mageweave drops. The good news was that they were level 48 (I'm level 56) and so I was able to get SOME experience while I farmed mageweave. The bad news is that the drops are NOWHERE near what the Thottbot stats say they are. I'd put the drop rate closer to 30% than 60%.
The best drop rates I've found are still with the Witherbark Trolls in NE Hinterlands. The drawback here is that they are level 46 and 47 and if, like me, you're level 56 or above, you're not going to get any exp. Still, the drop rate does actually seem to be around 60%.

First, thottbot's % is also based on the *number* of mageweave they drop. If it says 60%, this means out of 100, 60 is how much is average for you to have.
This can mean that out of 100, either 60 mobs have dropped 1, or 1 mob has dropped 60 mageweave. The thottbot values for most mobs are roughly accurate (especially those with a high kill value). (This is also why some mobs have a number higher than 100% chance to drop something, it's because they drop more than 1 per mob on average).
If you look at the drop rates, there is one mob that stands out. The level 50-51 elites in Jintha alor, have a 95%+ drop rate of mageweave.
As a 60 hunter with an epic mount and beast handling, I managed to get to the very top of jintha alor in about a minute and a bit, taking a total of about 800 damage from aggro. Once there, go in the cave and start killing.
You kill em slower than lower level non elites, so if you are *just* after mageweave there might be better spots, but in an hour, I've managed to get 3 stacks of mageweave, 7 greens, 4 greys worth over a gold each, 6 gold from dropped silver.
Overall I think this makes them my favourite source, as I can get alot of other stuff at the same time. (BTW, the wolves are also a pretty good source of tender wolf meat, which can be turned into the +15 stamina steaks, and vile priestess Hexx has a high respawn rate and also drops alot of mageweave).

I went to Jintha'Alor to try farming. After 1 hour, I had 69 Mageweave Cloth. Each mob does not drop it everytime, but when they do drop it, it is usually 3-4 of them at a time.
They dropped off of:
Vilebranch Soothsayer
Vilebranch Berserker
Vilebranch Headhunter
Vilebranch Shadow Hunter
According to my stats, it shows a 100% droprate off of these ... which isn't true, just that the amount dropped was equal to the ammount of mobs killed, not that they all dropped it every time.
I hope that this is helpful

Grinded a bit arround tanaris, tried the pirates and the ogres in the different ruins. But nothing beats the droprates at Dunemaul compound. They drop about 3-4 at the time, but they dont drop much else(prevents yoru bags from getting filled with junk though). Mobs are scattered arround in groups of 2-4, but some can be gathered to aoe. Grinded there as lvl 70 mage and got over 8 stacks less than an hour.

Around (43,52).
With a lvl 61 numter (tanking, lol) and my lvl 49 lock, we collected ~16 stacks between in ~3 hours. We also tried Feralas, but found the Tenaris drop rate was much better (and the killing was more fun, lol).
For those without coordinates:
Good luck if you nomrally rely upon written descriptions of landmarks, because Tenaris
doesn't have any I could write about here, lol. It might be better to think about this:
* The coordinate system notation is
("horizontal distance", "vertical distance").
* (50,50) is the middle of any map.
* (0,0) is the upper left corner of any map.
Thus the Compound is almost smack dab in the middle of the Tenaris map, slightly (7/100th of the map's width) to the west.

I have to agree that farming Mageweave cloth for gold at 70 is probably not the best use of one’s time (at least if one is looking at maximizing gold farmed per hour). However, there are reasons to farm mageweave that go beyond simple gold farming. In my case, I need the stuff from time to time in order to level First Aid or Tailoring for my alts. Normally I would just buy the stuff off the AH as it is cheaper to do that then spend the time farming it (same time spent could be used to farm more profitable stuff which has already been noted). But as I find more and more to be the case mageweave and runecloth are in short supply on my server and when they are available the price is very high (or even worse on bid only). So as a mater of expediency I sometimes feel the need to go farm the stuff myself and it is good to know where I can go to ensure I get the mageweave at the fastest rate possible. To that end I have found the Dunemaul compound in Tanaris to be the ticket.
In 50 minutes I was able to collect 6 stacks of Mageweave cloth, 4G-35S in loose change, almost 3G in vendor trash, and 1 green drop which I sold for 2G. Factor in the cost of my repair bill I cleared about 8G not accounting for the mageweave itself. Chump change for a 70 granted but not all bad considering the level range of where I was grinding the stuff. My main is a 70 prot Pally and I was able to routinely round up 3 – 4 ogres at a time. It went pretty quickly and the drops were pretty clean (mostly coin or cloth with very little vendor trash). Your bag space will not be overwhelmed. So if you find yourself in need of mageweave cloth quickly (or if your just impatient like me) and can’t get it on the AH – go to the Dunemaul compound in Tanaris.

Prior to the release of BC, had you told me Mageweave Cloth would one day go for 4.8G per stack, I would have laughed in your face. Anyway,
In skilling up my Priest Tailoring, here is my thoughts on farming Mageweave:
The best place for quick stacking is the Dunemaul Ogres in Tanaris IF and I mean IF you have the place to yourself. Despite their high repop rate, if you have any competition, it greatly slows the process. Furthermore, they rarely drop any green items. So....my favorite place is....
Jadefire Glen in Felwood near where the Deadwood Furlbogs are, far south. They have an AWESOME drop rate, closely stacked together, fast respawn, plenty of green drops, (I also got my first world drop here :) No one ever farms it and best of all, they drop Felcloth too, so if you are trying to skill up, your going to need the Felcloth anyway so it is a two for one deal. I currently have 16 in the bank. Also, I have herbalism and you can pick up some Gromsblood and Dreamfoil as well. The Deadwood Furlbogs are o.k. but there is usually other people farming there as well. My only complaint is the painfully long run you have to make from the gryphons. That's always been my gripe about Felwood.
Anyway, hope this helps and happy hunting.

Ok I farmed mageweave in most of the spots suggested. In order of best to worst spots:
1) Ogres of Dunemaul Compound- This spot was best by far. I know someone said it was awful, I don't think they stuck around long enough. The mobs respawn fast and don't drop too much vendor trash to take up space in your bags. The drop rate was so good it took me by surprise.
2) Harpies of Feralas- This is also a really good spot. Mobs spawn fast but drop a ton of vendor garbage, filling up your bags fast.
3) Demons of Jadefire Run- This is a good area but oftentimes there will be more than one person there. Not a lot of vendor trash, and felcloth if you need it.
3) Trolls of Jin'thalor- This place is annoying, you spend a lot of time running around finding mobs to kill. Plus they are elites, slightly more difficult. And for all your trouble, they don't drop that much more mageweave per hour than ogres or harpies in my opinion. Plus, they drop a ton of vendor garbage.
4) Trolls of Zul Farrak- Don't even bother. The drop rate was so low I gave up.
Hope this helps!

I've found a great place to farm mageweave cloth for toons in the low 40's. Try the Dustbelcher Grotto in SW Badlands. Lots of Ogres there. I took my level 43(now a 45) rogue there to farm for my alt mage who is a 38. I had a field day cuz my rogue is an herb/alch, too and found goldthorn also. The cave in the SW corner is the best. Use stealth or bring help in there cuz the ogres are bunched up and you will get mobbed. Outside is ok cuz you can take em on solo. the ogre mages dropped mageweave cloth for me about every 3-5th kill, which I think is pretty dam good. There is also a chest in the cave with some good stuff, although its guarded by 2-4 ogres every time no matter where it is. The respawn rate is quick too, so you can make a round on the outside, go in the cave, come back out and do it all over again. So this area is great for mageweave, goldthorn, pickpocketing and lockboxes for rogues, and good solo grinding. Have fun!

The Elites inside Nethergarde Keep drop a lot of Runecloth (3-4 about 75% drop rate)
The Non-Elites inside Nethergarde Keep drop a decent amount of Mageweave (1-2 about 25% drop rate)
The Orges at Dunemaul Compound drop a good amount of Mageweave (2-3 about 50% drop rate)
As someone said earlier -- GO INSIDE THE KEEP. Don't fight the ones in the camps just outside.
I didn't get as high as a drop rate as everyone else said they got at Nethergarde...but, I got about 1.5 stacks in 30 mins and 1 stack of Runecloth even though I kinda avoided the Elites. I'd say this is a good place to go if you need both Runecloth and Mageweave. Dunemaul is the place to go if you want just Mageweave because they are faster kills and they drop more. Hope this helps!

So, after having read the suggestions here and having tried out many of them, here are my conclusions:
1)Mageweave is easier to farm than Silk, Wool, or Linen.
2)The Dunemaul Ogres are a great spot for AoE kills. I'm a 70 BM Hunter and I did really well by rounding up 7 or 8 ogres, activating Beastial Wrath, and casting Volley and Multi-Shot. I did this for an hour and ended up with 9 stacks, plus two greens. I'd suggest this spot for anyone who can handle lots of mobs easily. This place is great if you're the only one here...however, if even one more person comes calling, someone's going to be left out of kills.
3)Jintha'alor. I went here after Tanaris, just to see what was up. I guess that in 2.3, they stopped having all the trolls here be elite, which is superb. Starting at the bottom gate, I cleared every level of all trolls all the way up to, and including the cave behind the Priestess. Then, I did it in reverse. Took a little over an hour. The kills are more spaced out, but you can still gather groups of 3 or 4 no problem. I ended up with just under 9 stacks of Mageweave, 6 greens, 1 blue, two stacks of Flask of Big Mojo, and almost one stack of Flask of Mojo. Plus, some Silk Cloth dropped as well. I mined about 4 Mithril nodes on the climb up, and if your an Herbalist, the Ghost Mushrooms here are a sweet deal. The wolves can be skinned, too. I also came across 3 chests, but it was pretty much just gray items and some coin. As a side note, there were a total of 3 people in the entire zone with me. I didn't even see them, let alone have to fight with them.
Overall, i'd say try both out and see which one works for you. Now that Jintha'alor isn't elite territory, it could be a reason to go to the Hinterlands again.

The trolls in each camp have some of the highest drop rate in The Hinterlands. In the time that it takes for a lvl 49 Warlock (me) to clear out one base the other has completely respawned so that you can continue farming without stopping. I hope this helped

The best location i've found for farming Mageweave is the northspring harpys (and variations of) in north-western feralas (40,12) - ruins of ravenwind. They are from level 48-51 or so and drop 1-3 mageweave about 80% of the time or better.
I first started killing them for a quest when my hunter was still in the mid 40s. One at a time they were no problem. The best part is, if you are farming mageweave for another toon, they'll level you all the way to 60. Granted not very quickly but a little EXP is better than no EXP.
For a 59 hunter they drop like flies and the stacks of cloth accumulate very quickly.

Looks like the gravy train for Mageweave Cloth is over.... at least it is from the Northspring Harpes. I've killed over 200 of them today and only got 2 stacks of Mageweave Cloth. One in six kills dropped Mageweave and only one or two cloth dropped for the kill. These harpes suck for Mageweave.

The highborne camp in Azshare has pretty good drops on mageweave. There are 2 types of mobs here, Highborne Apparitions and Highborne Lichlings. I'm lvl 64 grinding cloth for tailoring and getting a decent drop rate here. The only problem is the small amount of them, and the somewhat long respawn timer. I'll be trying other spots listed here, but heres a screenshot from an hour of farming
I farmed at a slow pace, bored with the slow respawn time. This was a little under an hour, but I could have moved faster, when I cleared the camp sometimes I would alt tab and browse this site for a few minutes. I just got mobinfo2 recently so this is my only info on mageweave cloth, of course the sample size is pretty small, but this should help a bit.

You can farm this easy in The Temple of Atal'Hakkar, so, in the Sunken Temple. (70 mage!)

I usually farm there for my mageweave. Easy for any level 60 to solo. Beware the physically immune trolls though. Those guys will get you.

This seems to be a good spot to farm for mageweave. In a bit over 2 hours I have nearly seven stacks. Some of them drop multiples, some drop none at all but the drop rate has been pretty satisfactory.
