Unexpectedly, this is an incredible consumable for rogues, DPS warriors, enhancement shamans in many TBC boss fights. When I originally posted this comment it was useful on the back-end of Kara and Magtheridon, but now of course it's useful for almost all of Hyjal, a good portion of Black Temple, and of course the DPS-fest that is Brutallus...some even consider this forlorn elixir essential for rogues who don't have warglaives.
I've heard that this AP does not effect hunter ranged AP, can anyone confirm/deny ?
Not for hunters. This applies to melee attack power only.
You forget to mention that this is learned from a Recipe:Elixir of Demonslaying
Really, Really good for Brutallus.
Since they nerfed flasks a few patches back, this exlir is much better for many TBC bosses.
That's odd that it no longer applies to RAP. Elixir of Demonslaying + the 2-Handed Sword w/ + AP against Demons (Demonslayer?) were both huge boons for hunters when doing their Rok demon killing quest from MC. Although admittedly I'm not surprised Hunters get the shaft on this now.
From patch notes (2.4.2)
Elixir of Demonslaying: This elixir now grants ranged attack power against demons as intended.
Seems hunters will have to start farming these aswell!
Do these proc from Elixir Mastery Alchemists?
This + dual wield + demons in azshara = farm
Should be good for the hunter epic quest where you have to kill 4 demons without your pet.
does this also work while shapeshifted?
does this work with casting? btw it does work in catform
AP doesn't effect spell damage, only melee and ranged dps
5 min duration is a bit crappy for this, spended 3,5g for 5 min of farming? hmm ok, your choice but i think you should take the enchant and dont buy this elixir!
Where can i get my hands on the formula to make these ima lvl 300 alchemist does anyone know?
All of you complaining about this only lasting 5 minutes....take it to an enchanter and get Demonslaying put on your weapon; this would probably be one of, if not the costly ingredient.
Use it on All demon bosses in the new TBC raids and use on ILLIDAN
it says vendor? sooo what vendor can i get it from?
lol in stonard in the inn on the very top CLIMB THE STAIRWAY and look to youre left its only bout 90s
Alliance take Gryphon to Netherguard Keep. Go in the tower where Nina Lightbrew is (66, 18). If she doesn't have it but she has heal or mana pots buy all those then ride around Blasted Lands (you're already there) and pick all the Gromsblood you see (one of the herbs required to make this) and then re-visit Nina to check again. If she doesn't have it but she has heal or mana pots buy all those then ride around and pick more Gromsblood. Do this until she has the recipe. It took me three times around picking Gromsblood and buying up her pots for the recipe to appear. This elixir is a real help against Prince in Kara.
Which bosses in Mount Hyjal are demons?
According to patch notes for 2.4.2 (released 28th May) this will correctly affect Ranged AP as it was always meant to.
amazing that this is still the best end game elixir for melee... much better than the flask since you can have a guardian elixir with it (like mastery etc) and you only have to use it for boss fights!
Pity it needs ghost mushroom :(
The devs should really make a level 70 version of this. One that used herbs from Outland. And they should rename it "Brutallus, Beware!"
Not very good potion, but if you sold it you'd get alot. OR you could trade it to an enchanter and get a discount on the Enchantment prolly...
or give it to one of those nice Enchanters that doesn't charge! Wheeeee! (My weapon doesn't glow yet. /cry)
Very useful for Kazzak. Period ;)
Extra 20Dps for a rouge? Lovely :)

Does this potion stack with protection potions? (like nature protection potion)
This was one of my best sellers as an alchemist.
Also, highly useful out in Hellfire Peninsula now, where 90% of what you will meet is a demon :-)
when i hit 60 i could see a use for this in the hunter epic
Does anyone know for certain if Demonslaying works on Magtheridon? All sources say he's an Annihilan (demon subspecies?) which then technically means it would work, although I've never used it myself on that boss.
