Home to the dungeon "Tempest Keep" which is a 4 wing dungeon, with one of them being a Raid wing which is rumored to require 25 players.
Netherstorm is a land consumed by a everlasting thunderstorm, the only way to grow plants safely is to grow them and contain them in a biodome on a semi-realm level.
There are no stable masters in Netherstorm =(
I cannot for the life of me find an anvil or forge here. Anyone know of one?
Many quests for rep with The Consortium, including a repeatable item turn-in from Zaxxis mobs at The Heap (south of Area 52).
If you are allied with The Scryers wait until you are lvl 68 before you do quests that require killing blood elves so that you can pair it with the repeatable quest for sunfury signets.
Flightpaths are at Area 52 and Stormspire.
Eco-dome midrealm and Kirin'var village have quest hubs with some very fast quests for easy XP.
There is a bank at Area 52.
Many good places to gather motes of mana.
The arena gear can be seen and purchased from area 52.
Has anyone been able to find a forge and/or anvil?
I've created a file, for those that do not want to alt-tab out of Warcraft for each quest (or cant in my case, with 512 MB of RAM) to our beloved wowhead.com. :)
This is basically a compilation of information off of Wowhead and the comments of posters. The quests are generally in order, but it may have a typo, mistake, or incorrect x, y locations, etc. Its not based on reputation, but is purely a leveling/quest grinding guide that I decided to do for myself and my brother. Right now, unfortunately, it is Alliance only based (I've got no level 60 Horde characters).
Some of the references in the file are to 'soloability'. This is totally class/talent/gear based, so I would not rely on it. However, if I comment on the soloability of a target, it probably means its elite or difficult.
The Series X# quests are to be completed in order.
If a quest is listed as 'Synch', it just means to watch out for the quests above or below the one marked as such, as they can be very, very easily combined together or interact with each other.
I have completed it for all the zones and all major non-group, non-elite, non-faction based quests. I'd appreciate any bumps in ratings, and also any questions, corrections, or feedback can be directed to email@example.com.
Last but not least, you can use GoogleDocs to read the XLS file, if you dont have Microsoft Office. Or, just use Google to find a 'free XLS reader'.
You CANNOT summon anywhere in the netherstorm due to all the chaotic nether energy
Maybe I'm blind, but I cannot find a stable master in Netherstorm. Been to all the cities, outposts and anywhere friendly. Am I incorrect, or is there a stable master hiding somewhere?
I ding'd 70 there.
I've done less than half of the quests here, and still have Shadowmoon Valley to do. And 3700g to get for my epic mount :D
This place is a good way to farm for money for your (epic) Flying Mount.
Usually quests go for about 7-15g.
If you are 68 and for some reason in Netherstorm, then I would suggest you guys to go to Blade Edge Mountains, or Nagrand. At 68, it took me about ~1 and a half of a level to get me done with Blade Edge zone (minus the group quests.)
If you are 69, you can probably survive this place...I would just make sure that you *attempted* Shadowmoon Valley...its not that bad. Gave me that extra half a level. Beware that some quests really piss you off in Shadowmoon Valley...as a 69 warrior (then, now i am 70)
Other than that, Have fun questing and 5-manning for a while! ^_^
Cowsforzeus, 70 Draenei Warrior <Legends of Honor> Deathwing
prolly the weirdest place to go to in outlands
For those interested in lore:
Twenty years ago, the land known as Netherstorm did not exist. This land was once the Fields of Farahlon, a verdant expanse which was the home of the Laughing Skull Clan. When Draenor became today's Outland, the Twisting Nether ripped across the fields, creating a storm that rages on even today. Only the great eco-domes scattered across the broken fragments of land serve as a reminder of Netherstorm's past.
Today, Netherstorm remains a barren wasteland. It has become the center of the Blood Elves' operations in Outland, which are overseen by Prince Kael'thas Sunstrider at Tempest Keep, while the goblins also maintain a post at Area 52. Ethereals and voidwalkers thrive in Netherstorm.
One interesting aspect of Netherstorm is the presence of five towering manaforges. Recently, Blizzard released information about the Blood Elves' machinations at Sunwell Plateau, and an alluded to a sinister connection to the forges.
IMO the most quests I have seen in any outland or azeroth land is here. Too many quests but the rewards for a retribution paladin (and maybe an arms warrior) are not so ''epixs''
I think netherstorm is great zone for questing, even better than shadowmoon because i got from 67 to 69 in it.Quests aren't hard at all and u can lvl up here in a moment. :)
i found a floating pirate ship in 60 35
you need to fly to get there.
Quests here can be rather time consuming/annoying for mana users, as many of the mobs have a mana drain/mana burn.
The best way to earn loads of money really fast is not to quest here or in
until the big mark where quest begin to give money instead of experience.
ffs, they have to fix more graveyards here..
I found this sick spot you can farm in netherstorm for about 2-600g an hour. It really depends if you get it to yourself or not. I think more and more people are figuring it out... Anyways check it out =)
Simple comment for simple information:
All quests completed in Netherstorm @ level 70 will yield approximately 1400 to 1600g (that includes the group quests).
Most prominent reputation gained is with the Consortium.
Just below that would be Aldor or Scryer depending on which faction you chose.
The 3 eco-domes in netherstorm are a possible reference to the movie Bio-Dome where a group of scientists created a huge greenhouse in the middle of nowhere(Nevada i think) that would simulate different enviroments
Flight Path coordinates:
Area 52 - 33.63
Stormspire - 45.34
Cosmowrench - 65.66 (Between Tempest Kepp and Manaforge Duro (The Little Castle picture on your big World Map option))
Also Note: Mid Summer Fire Festival Seasonal locations in Area 52 coordinates:
Kirin'var Village is a great place to find Motes of Mana.
Also, anyone who is looking to earn Scryer's rep, Netherstorm is a great place to farm the Sunfury Signets and Arcane Tombs.
Engineers with the
Zapthrottle Mote Extractor
can gather Motes of Mana out of
so can you even get there without a flying mount?
Questing here gets old, really really quick. lol
all the quests are the same if not, boring.
I left this place at 68 halfway to 69 to go hang in shadowmoon.
Am i the only one who thinks that the sound/music in Netherstorm sounds a bit like the music from starcraft?
i would like to note that this zone has the only graveyard in the whole game with a goblin statue lookin thing in the graveyard
Well I have hit a really nasty snag. 112/120 quests completed and I cannot find ANY quests for this area at all. Anyone got any ideas? I would love to hear them :(
EDIT: Found em :D
Just explored this place on my 60 warrior with a friend. This zone looks very futurstic and the most interesting out of the new BC zones. Lots of high level mobs from 67~70 so be careful. There are 2 flight paths I found; one in Area 52 and the other in The Stormspire. Don't think there are anymore; all of the little islands are connected by bridges. Have fun
theres bridges connecting the 'islands'. flying mounts only necessary to enter Tempest keep
There's bridges to everything except the chunk of land to the north west. And Tempest Keep is hovering over east of the map, you have to fly there too. The bridges will appear on the map as you explore.
Stormspire: 45,34 . To get into the city, theres an elevator, just off the main road going north and south @ 42,33
Area 52: 33,63
There's a 3rd fligth path in Netherstorm; it's a small Goblin outpost east of Manaforge Duro (I can't remember the name); there's only 2 quests there, the main idea seems to give quicker access to those going off to Tempest Keep.
I just found a strange shrine thing on a floating rock, anyone have any ideas? coords are 40,83
Co-ords for Flight Path in Stormspire are 45,34. You take an elevator up into the city and the flight path is at the end of the furthest path, and off to the left.
Co-ords for Flight Path in Cosmowrench are 65,66.
Go to Eco-Dome Midrealm and you'll se a little pool in there (46.51)
Happy fishing ^^
is there a pvp camp in netherstorm like the ones in ashenvale, arathi highlands, and alterac mountains?
around how much extra gold do you receive doing quest at lv 70?
There are 4 places where you can quest. Area 52, Stormspire, Watch post (east of stormspire), echo-dome midrealm and 1 quest, what I know, In cosmowrench. Feel free to add some places i might have missed.
ive read that ther is someone here who gives out flying mounts and lessons to ride them anyone know where at?
Based on personal experience, it's best to save Netherstorm for when you're 68-69 if you need somewhere to level. Not because of difficulty or need of flying to get around but one reason...gold.
A lot of the quests are chain quests and grouped up in one area. Kirin'var as an example, you have at least a dozen quests from there that have you only travel a short distance around the immediate are. Plus they give you a lot of items that at that point aren't much better than what you currently have if you did any instances at all. So estimate on average 10G for quests in this area of OL and how many there are... I was able to go from 500G to just over 2000G doing nearly all the quests in this area. It's a definite good money maker are and should be reserved for level 70 just on that reason alone. If you're a casual player that can get one hour a day during most of the week and then have one day you can dedicate to playing you can easily and effectively complete nearly all the solo quests in this area within a week and a half. Just be sure to come to here to find out which quest rewards vendor for the most. That alone probably netted me around 500G.
Netherstorm was great. So many quests, went from 717g to 1200g between 67-69. by 70 i had almost 2000g from here alone.
Boring zone, good quests.
So should you quest for 70 in either Blades Edge Mountain or Shadowmoon Valley and then come to Netherstorm and quest for the gold aspect?
Being a Hunter, i found that i got to lvl 69 by the time i was finish in Nagrand. After talking with Guildies and a few mates i decided to come to Netherstorm to hit 70, the go back an do all the quests i missed. It was the best idea ever, as although these quests do give a fair amount of money at 70, going back and doing more lower level quests yeilds much better profit.
I was done with Nagrand at 66 since i came at an early lvl so my next place was Blades Edge till 69. Once i hit 69 i went to SMV rather than NS and did all the quests on the west side till i hit 70. Now i went to NS and can wack off about 10 quests per hour
(about 100-150g) This place is great for lvl 70 because you can get many quests for a small area allowing many quests to be done at once. I'm not done with Netherstorm yet but when i am ill be off to finish up SMV:)
58-62 Hellfire Peninsula
62-65 Zangermarsh/Terokkar Forest
65-67 or 68 Nagrand
68-70 Blade's Edge Mountains
70 Netherstorm 1st for quick money then SMV
Once Your done PVP, farm, get epics and enjoy this awesome neverending game @_@
Hope this helps THX
Any one notec when u are around huge tubes (near manaforges) u get some kind buff (there is animation, somekinda light thing blinking over you, it reminds me some kinda priest HOT, or something, just wondering any one know what dose in to?
The buff you get is mana regen
Good money... but give me the open plains of Nagrand anyday.
do u have to be lv 67 to get quests or is that just what lv the mobs are
Do you have to be level 70 and have a flying mount to get to the Tiniest "Island" in the northern part of Netherstorm?
