Chromie Time Legion Is Great for Leveling - Artifact Appearances, Class Mounts, Allied Race Unlocks

With the class-wide artifact transmog rules introduced in the Shadowlands pre-patch, we wanted to draw attention to the benefits of leveling through Legion. In addition to being one of the fastest expansions for leveling 10-50, Legion has numerous mounts, pets, and transmog rewards locked behind long quests.

Artifact Transmog
Due to transmog changes, many people are eager to unlock more artifacts for transmog. You can do so as soon as level 10 in Legion Chromie Time, as one of the first quests in the expansion. Completing this quest chain will award you the artifact weapons and unlock the base appearance for transmog.
New things you can do with Shadowlands artifact transmog include:
Transmog different appearances of the same artifact as your MH/OH
Transmog different colors of the same artifact as your MH/OH
Transmog different artifacts as your MH/OH
Use one spec's artifact appearance while in another spec
Transmog the conjured weapons like

without needing the main artifact equipped
Use offhand weapons like
石母之怒
in your MH slot
Specify Druid artifact tints via the barbershop instead of through transmogging particular weapons

. While we are still updating the level requirements in the guides, you can still get a sense of all the appearances and quests required for each weapon.
Class Campaign Rewards
Leveling through Legion will give you a head start on the Class Campaign, which is needed for class-themed transmog, mounts, titles, toys, and more. Using a Death Knight as an example class, you can earn the following:

Class Hall bracers and chest
As you can see on our
Class Hall Campaign
guide, these questlines are very lengthy, so you'll want to start them sooner than later. Completion of the campaign is also needed to start the
shorter questline
for the class mounts, and the Broken Shore prereqs can be started at level 45 (it's no longer a max-level zone!). Druids may be particularly interested in

Allied Race Unlocks
With the removal of reputation for Allied Race unlocks, all you need to do for some races is quest through a zone in Legion! Unlocking these races allows you to complete a short scenario which rewards a faction-wide mount.

. While this was an end-game zone in Legion, you can access it through Chromie Time at level 45. By completing the Argus campaign, you'll unlock two Allied Races at once.

Highmountain Tauren
are the easiest to unlock, as you just need to complete
