Comparing the EU and Asia-Pacific Spring Championships
Despite only being a week apart, there's still a drastic difference between the European and Asia-Pacific meta in Hearthstone. How different? We've compared the decks from both Spring Championships to find out!
The Asia-Pacific Spring Championship takes place this weekend with the best players from the regions fighting for their one berth at BlizzCon.
It's worth noting that unlike the Preliminary tournament, players will instead bring five decks (which has a significant effect on these numbers), have one banned, and then compete in a Best of 7 (rather than Bo5). The stream will start on tonight 9PM PDT and resume tomorrow at the same time.
The casting talent consists of Frodan, Azumoqt, Savjz, Doa, Songbird, and ThatsAdmirable who will commentate while the competitors - Handsomeguy, Caster, Foot, Jako1910, Killer Hero, heisnotaxel, Pinpingho, and EdwardElric - as they battle for their share of the $100,000 prize pool.
Handsomeguy vs Caster
Foot vs Jako1910
Killer Hero vs heisnotaxel
Pinpingho vs EdwardElric
We've prepared a few charts looking at the distribution of classes and specific archetypes in the pool.
Here are all 40 decks that can potentially be played, we've
one from each player that we think is worth taking a look at.
We've also prepared this infographic which shows class distribution and compares it to the
European Spring Championship stats
. It's always interesting to see how each region differs.
