For today's news, we have information on acquiring Artifact Power on the Legion Alpha, a spotlight on Magister's Terrace, and recent hotfixes.

Artifact Power on the Legion Alpha
Artifact Power is how you unlock traits on your
. We have added costs to our
Artifact Weapon Calculator
for the currently-available traits on the alpha.
The costs for traits on the alpha currently go: 100, 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 700. Bonus trait levels granted by
There are several ways to get Artifact Power on the alpha:
Completing major quest series.
. These have a higher chance to be found on rare spawns or in treasure chests. To unlock their power, you must return to your class order hall and click on them at your artifact forge. Currently,
drops semi-frequently from dungeons and awards 150 power.

- after using the item to get Artifact Power, such as
, you are left with a pricey grey to vendor.
Your Artifact Power is tracked not as a currency, but as a bar on top of your experience bar. The total power in the bar reflects the cost of your next Artifact Trait. It is possible to keep collecting Artifact Power even after the bar has filled up.
Currently on the alpha, progressing on your Artifact Weapon is also limited by
. You have a Knowledge level (method of increasing unknown) and this limits the amount of traits you can unlock at a certain point in time. On the Alpha, the Knowledge Level was 6 and it allowed you to purchase 6 traits. A warning popped up at 4/6 traits that I needed to increase my Knowledge in order to keep unlocking traits. As the level cap is 104 on the alpha, it makes sense that obtaining traits would be gated.
If your Knowledge is maxed out and you cannot purchase more traits, you can still keep stockpiling Artifact Power for a later time.
Magister's Terrace Spotlight
is the newest addition to Burning Crusade Timewalking.

Here's some of the unique items you can get:

. This is a great way for the Alliance to get a Hawkstrider mount, a model that's typically associated with the Horde.
