Mining in Legion
Professions in Legion have a bit more depth to them, especially gathering professions. Yesterday we previewed
some of the updates for Fishing
and today we have a first look at Mining.
There are perks associated with each type of node you can mine, and each perk is acquired when completing a short questline that reveals more about the lore behind mining.
For Rank 1 of all perks, you simply mine the specific node and loot an item which starts a quest to visit Dalaran:

Sample dialogue is: "It's so light. So pretty, too! Reminds me of elementium, a bit." "This is no natural stone, miner. It stinks of demon's blood. Where did you find this? "
The "living" nodes refer to creatures that pop out which can be mined for stone - basilisks and demons so far.
A later quest series is not fully available yet which tells the story of Rethu Ironhorn and Leystone:

Artifact Calculator Updates
Several artifacts come with matching offhands that have distinctive appearances, and they have now been added to the "Appearances" tab on the Artifact Calculator for easy reference.
For example on the
Truthguard Calculator
for Protection Paladins, the model for
誓言践行者
is now displayed along with
真理守护者
. Both item icons are also now displayed at the top left of the calculator; mousing over them brings up tooltips with stats and clicking on them takes you to the item page.
Do note that some color combinations are not yet finished by Blizzard, such as Restoration Shaman, and any mismatching weapons are likely due to incomplete data on their end.
