FYI, even if you weren't in the zone or even in the party you can still get the loot off of Domo's chest. My guild started giving alts that were at the zone entrance, items from the chest, its a great way to get good gear from not raiding.

The strategy for this boss is not very complicated. You can crowd control up to four of the eight adds, and once you have killed them all, Majordomo will "surrender" to you, allowing you to loot the Cache of the Firelord.

At current only healers can be polymorphed. As soon as there are only 4 mobs (in addition to Domo) left, they break polymorph and become immune to it.
Make sure you don't have any AoE spells that break crowd control going on, especially while mobs CAN be polymorphed.
Be cautious of AoE weapon procs. Earthstriker and Thunderfury are both ok with CC.
The loot in the cache doesn't have to be given to people on the raid. Members not present for the kill, members not in the raid, and members that were not on that ID (assuming they don't have an MC ID already) can zone in and loot out of the chest.

Preparation
Since Majordomo's adds do both fire (the Elites) and shadow damage (the Priests), it is HIGHLY recommended that those present have plenty of potions to counteract these attacks. Greater Fire Protection Potions, Greater Shadow Protection Potions, and Magic Resistance Potions are a big plus, so everyone should pick one or two of each type up at the AH. If you're a tank, grab a fire protection pot, if you're a mage, grab a shadow protection pot. Everyone should have the magic resistance pots. Have plenty of Heavy Runecloth Bandages as well.
Do NOT bring any weapon to this encounter that has an area effect enchant on it, like Fiery Weapon, as it can break the sheeps and easily wipe the whole raid.
Some fire resistance and shadow resistance gear is a plus here, but don't gimp your stats for high resistances. The melee classes will want fire resist for the Elites AOE, while the ranged chars can suit up in healing/PVP gear.
Setup and Positioning
Majordomo has eight adds that he brings with him when the fight starts. There are four Elites and four Priests that must be killed in order to get Majordomo himself to submit. The mobs are labeled in the picture below. The elites are numbered and the healers/priests are labeled with a "P."
Majordomo Positioning
At the beginning of the fight, Domo's adds can be sheeped and are susceptible to most forms of crowd control. Their spells can be interrupted by Kick, Shield Bash, and they can be stunned. However, once the raid kills 4 of his adds, the remaining 4 become immune to these effects.
At regular times throughout the encounter, Domo puts a shield around all of his adds. The white shield reflects all magic, and the purple shield reflects all physical damage. Our mods will give us a 5 or 10 second warning when this is about to happen. They will also broadcast the type of shield. Do NOT use magic when the white shield is up, and do NOT melee attack when the purple shield is up. Example: If you are a warlock, take the time to bandage yourself or drink a potion while the white shield is up.

The Pull
Drink all fire protection, shadow protection, and magic resistance potions before the pull. A DS'd paladin will run into the center area to begin the fight. Our main concern early in the fight is to move Domo's adds away from the center and each other. Each Elite will be tanked by one warrior to a separate part of Domo's platform.
Elites 1 and 2 are tanked near the edge of the platform to the left.
Elites 3 and 4 are tanked near the wall of the platform to the right.
All four Priests (P) will be sheeped by four assigned mages in the part of the platform shown in the pictures above. The mages assigned to sheep will ONLY be managing their sheep until it is broken by a warrior and killed by the raid. As a mage, do not deselect your priest until it is dead. Keep reapplying polymorph, especially when you see the warning that the shields are about to come up, as the magic shield will reflect the polymorph back onto the caster. Try to keep your Priest sheeped in the area shown, so that you do not go out of range of the healers.
The healers will stand on the near side of the pit, in the area shown in the pictures above. They should be able to heal everyone in the raid from here. Healers will be assigned to certain tanks before the fight.
Majordomo will be tanked where he stands, on the other side of the pit in the center of the platform, in range of the healers.
The Fight
One warrior will be assigned as the sheep breaker. The rest of the raid (rogues, warlocks, hunters, paladins, spare warriors, spare mages) will follow him around and kill the targets he selects. If you are EVER in doubt of what to attack, assist this warrior.
The warrior's first target will be Elite 4, just to the right of the raid. The warrior will establish aggro, then the raid will kill it. Be careful not to use physical attacks when the physical shield is up, as all damage will be reflected back onto you. Do not use magic attacks when the magic shield is up.
The warrior's second target will be one of the sheeped Priests. He will break the sheep, establish aggro, then the raid will kill it, making sure to interrupt any attempt the Priest makes to heal himself. The warrior will then move onto another sheep and do the same thing until all the sheeped Priests are dead. (sidenote: the last priest will break sheep by itself, since they become immune to crowd control effects once four of Domo's eight adds are down)
After the priests are dead, the warrior will move on to the remaining three elites. The raid kills these, still keeping in mind the type of damage shield on each one. Once the final Elite is dead, Majordomo will submit to the raid and give up his loot.
To summarize the targeting order, we will kill the adds like this:
* 1 Elite
* 4 Sheeped Healers
* 3 Remaining Elites

Final Notes
* Never use area effect spells (like Consecration, Cone of Cold, Rain of Fire, etc.) in this fight, as they will break the sheeped priests and wipe the raid.
* Warlocks should cast Curse of Shadows on all of the Priests at the beginning of the fight, so the mages can keep them sheeped more easily.
* Warriors have to notice when the purple shield is up, and stop their attacks when they see it. Otherwise, all damage is reflected back onto them.
* Mages need to pay attention to when Domo is about to cast his shield on his adds, and resheep their Priest before the shields go up.
* Everyone else needs to assist the warrior breaking the sheeps and pay attention to his target.
* Out of combat rezzing is very difficult in this fight, so do not expect a rez. When you've taken a big hit or your health is getting low, back out of combat and use bandages and potions to keep yourself alive.
* When one elite is left, the elite and Majordomo will go in supreme mode.&nbps; Healers must spam heals to keep the two remaining tanks alive while we kill that last elite.

turn this fight into phases and it's easy, you need 5 tanks, and 2 hunters
Phase 1: Sheep all 4 priests, kill 2 elites ...............................(tanks on 4 elites) 4 priests 4 elites at start of phase
Phase 2: get 2 elites down to 20% or so ...............................(tanks on 2 elites) 4 priests 2 elites at start of phase
Phase 3: kill 2 priests, other priests will become unsheepable (tanks on 2 elites) 4 priests 2 weakened elites at start of phase
Phase 4: kill weakened elites ...............................................(tanks on 4 elites) 2 priests 2 weakened elites at start of phase
Phase 5: kill last 2 priests ....................................................(tanks on 4 elites) 2 priests at start of phase
In this way, you make sure once the priests can't be sheeped, everyone goes down quick, and if the last add alive is an elite, he goes supreme and hurts, so this makes sure it's a priest alive at the end.
For Majordomo himself, have a decent tank on him, and use 2 hunters to keep pulling him back, as he likes to drop threat and wander through the raid.
Things to remember: damage/magic shield - CTRaid is a must, will show when the shields come up and when they drop (note, damage shield does not apply to ranged damage), no AoE (any worthwhile player knows this when CC is being used)

1 - Take and sheep all the Healers.
2 - And kill 2 of the Elites, and take the 2others down to 25%.
3 - Then unsheep 1 of the Healers, and kill him, then take another one.
4 - Then you kill the 2 Elites.
5 - Kill the rest of the Healers.
Then you are done, Majordomo gives up and gives you the Chest and dissepears to Rag.

Majordomo
Majordomo is the second last �boss� of Molten Core. I use this term loosely however as he is not the real MoB that needs to be killed in this fight. Majordomo comes with 4 healers and 4 elite guards, making this a total of a 9 enemy encounter!
Majordomo�s Abilities
Majordomo has several abilities that he uses in the fight. They are as follows:
Teleport
� Any enemy near Majordomo can be targeted with this random target spell that teleports its target into the nearby fiery pit. There is nothing to counter this ability aside from running out of the pit. This ussually targets the closest player to Majordomo. When this ability actvates it seems to clear his aggro list as well and he will attack someone nearby. It is important to have a secondary tank ready to pick him up ifhe teleports your main tank.
Purple Shield
� While this shield is up, Majordomo reflects melee damage back to those inflicting it. It reflects up to a set amount of 100 dmg per hit back at the attacker. This spell lasts for 10 seconds before fading.
White Shield
� While this shield is up, Majordomo reflects magic damage back to those inflicting it. Each magic attack has a 50% chance to reflect back to the attacker. This spell lasts for 10 seconds before fading.
Fire Blast � Majordomo can also unleash a damaging area of effect flame attack. This attack hits nearby players with moderate fire damage.
Uber Mode - When Majordomo is down to one follower, he and his follower will enter uber mode. While in Uber mode, they hit MUCH harder and every available healer will need to focus on the main tank.
Healer�s Abilities
Heal
� Obviously, the healers can do healing spells. These heal any target mob, but can be broken by stuns.
Random Shadowbolts
� The Healer�s will also dispense random target shadow bolts at raid members in range.
Purple Shield � While this shield is up, the healer reflects all melee damage back to those inflicting it. This spell lasts for 10 seconds before fading.
White Shield
� While this shield is up, the healer reflects all magic damage back to those inflicting it. This spell lasts for 10 seconds before fading.
Elite�s Abilities
Purple Shield
� While this shield is up, the Elite reflects all melee damage back to those inflicting it. This spell lasts for 10 seconds before fading.
White Shield
� While this shield is up, the Elite reflects all magic damage back to those inflicting it. This spell lasts for 10 seconds before fading.

Strategy
The first thing to know about Majordomo is that he does not need to die. In fact you must not kill Majordomo, it�s his retinue of guards that must die for you to win this encounter. Once all the guards are killed, the �Domo will submit and the battle will end.
Knowing that the guards are the target, a few things are critical to winning this battle. You can sheep the guards, however you can only keep them �chain-sheeped� for half the battle (until 4 are dead), after which the Majordomo will do an emote and they will become immune to sheeping. Also note; that you can stun the guards. This is important for stopping spell casting (the healers). Note also that you can not sheep the elites, only the healers.
First off, make sure to have the Main Tank on the Majordomo, and then distribute offtanks to all the other unsheeped mobs. A second offtank should also join the Main Tank to pick up agro from the Main Tank when he gets teleported to the fiery pit.
Be sure to keep notice of which shields are up on the mobs. White means that casters should take a break from hurling DPS, and purple means that melee classes should stay back (aside from the tank, who should be keeping agro).

There are numerous �successful� strategies on which order to go at the guards in. However the two that seems to work best are the following:

Of course I highly suggest that you practice, and find your own ways of dealing with this interesting encounter. There is no �right� way to do it, but we want to avoid the wrong ways (the ones that end with 10 minutes worth of ressing).
Once the 7th guard is dead, the 8th and final will enter "Uber" mode. In this mode he grows roughly 50% in size and hits far harder, so be careful. Once all the guards are dead, the Majordomo submits

The 2.2-1-3-2 strategy is a good one. Ie, you kill 2 elites, damage the other 2 to very low health, kill one healer, kill the 2nd healer and the last 2 elites simultaneously, and then kill the last 2 healers. My guild used this method and killed Domo on our 2nd week attempting.
Things to watch out for:
1. There will be lots of random damage during this fight: Adds out of control, fireballs, shadow bolts, getting teleported into the middle, fire novas, reflected attacks, etc. Make sure everyone in your raid has the means to keep themself alive, meaning Fire Prot potions, Shadow Prot potions, bandages, and health pots.
2. The best (and most fun) way for your raid to wipe is for one of your mages to sheep himself when magic reflection is up. I, personally, have done it twice =/. Make sure your priests know that if a mage is sheeped for more than a few seconds, one of the Healers is going to be killing them very soon, so they need to dispell the polymorph as quickly as possible. This can save an attempt that would otherwise be a wipe.
3. You need someone to know all of your tanks' abilities, responsibilities, and positioning during the fight so they can make mid-battle decisions about who is going to tank what (tanks will often die because this fight is pretty hard on healer's mana). Ideally, this should be a mage because they're not doing much else during the fight.
4. Another person needs to be calling out which shields are up at what times. This will keep your casters and rogues from killing themselves with their own attacks and your mages from sheeping themselves.
5. Do not despair if a lot of people are dead when the last add enrages. On our first kill, we only had about 15 people alive to kill the last add and they managed to pull it off rather well.
Overall, this fight is about keeping everything under control while Domo and all his adds try to disrupt your game plan. Do not let them, have contingency plans for anything that could happen, and make sure everyone in your raid knows what to do at all times. Confusion comes easily, so stay cool, and he should hearth away like a baby, leaving epics for you.
And, have your masterlooter, or if he's dead, someone dependable, tap the box as quickly as possible. Even though you probably won't have anyone ninja the epics, distributing loot is kind of hard to control if everyone is trying to look into the box.

We took this guy down using the 1-4-3 method. We only had about two deaths the whole time. What we did is have two tanks on Domo and a hunter so he really never eacapes into the main raid, doesn't have to be your MT either. We had our MT tank two elites which freed up a warrior for Domo himself. Our OT had a hunter who pulled each target to him and tanked him near the ledge. Not really hard, jsut a mana intensive fight so bring a bundle of mana pots and restore druids.

Actually he hits rather hard. First time I went there, 3 of our priests got aggro and he killed all 3 with one hit =S we managed to kill him somehow since we had like 6 dr00ds.
He is the "manager of Molten Core", really.
Not the butler or anything... I'd say he owns the place but Ragnaros is a very angry house guest that is VERY unhappy about the rent ^^

Right Before you kill the 4th Mob have the Mages Re-Apply Polymorph, the now Immune Sheep stay polymorphed for up to 45 Seconds. This is a tried Experiment the killing of the 4th Guard makes all the Guards Immune to any further Polymorph. Mages have to use split second timing but not only can it be done but it really helps in downing the final 4.

Sheep All Healers - keep them sheeped, 1 by 1 take down the elites(keep a tank on each). then break each sheep. that's how we do it. It works fine every time for us.

This isn't a faction. It just means that once you beat this guy and he goes running off to Ragnoras you can't attack him, so he is "friendly" for that small time.

I understand that you don't kill Majordomo for this strat, but I have seen that he takes damage. Can someone explain what happens if you fight only him? Does he submit at 1%? Does he become immune of all damage? Does he die?

He's a salamander. You face a mini boss in BRD called fire salamander and he looks exactly like all 5 of the bosses in MC.

Ok here is the strategy we used to down Majordomo:
In this encounter you will fight 4 Elite Walkers + 4 Priests + Majordomo. Two things to note:
1. Priests can be sheeped or stunned and they can continue to be sheeped and stunned until there are less than 4 adds. Up to that point, they will resist polymorpoh or stuns.
2. Majordomo will yield once his Walkers and Priests are defeated so don't bother dps him. FYI he has over 65,000,000 HP points.
The Priests have Shadowbolts and Shadowshocks spells that do roughly 800 - 1500 shadow damage.
The Walkers have Fireball, Fireblast and Blast Wave techniques that hit you around 800 - 1300 fire damage.
In battle Majorodomo will cast AOE buffs to these mobs which have these two type of counters spells:
The purple shield will reflect a portion of physical damage on them.
The white shield will reflect all magical damage.
Periodically, Majorodomo will teleport the nearest target to him to a pit which will cost 700 fire damage while you are in it. At that point, his aggro list will clear and he will target the healers. It is very important to assign a back up tank to take over aggro at that point.

The Hunter and Priest drop are a 100% chance to drop in the chest BUT only a lvl 60 hunter or priest can see them they are like the Scourge stones and if you are not using your argent dawn commision you cant see them BUT they are there. Just allow a Hunter and a Priest to check the chest after you have and they should be able to link it.

Just an update on the guy that posted below me. We use the 2-4-2 technique with a modification. 4 Mages sheep the 4 healers while 4 tanks OT the elites. While the 4 healers are sheeped kill elites 1 and 2 (the inner two are easiest to do first for this strat). Then DPS elites 3 and 4 to 20% each, pull them off to corners and leave them there for a bit. As soon as the 4th elite is at 20%, break one healer from sheep, pull him to the top of the ramp while DPSing and finish him there (less than 100k on the healers, they drop fast). Repeat with healer 2, be ready for the other two healers to break sheep by having warriors standing there with taunt ready. As soon as healer 2 is down, immediately kill the 2 remaining elites (usually only have about 6-8k health left at this point and drop in seconds). This leaves you with only two healers that should be very easy to down fast. Just keep them split and it's smooth sailing from here.

Challenging fight. Basically, everyone must stay alive for a long time if you are to stand a chance. Any early deaths will result in an almost certain wipe.
Gotta love the goofy mace, though. ;)

I've read somewhere, that he will respawn at his starting point if you dont meet him at ragnaros within 2 hours or so? and this means you have to kill him again.
What my question is, if you have to kill him again, does the Cache of the Firelord respawn too when youve killed him a 2nd time during the same instance save? :)

It is sayd a chest spawns when he dies, wich have a 50% chanse of a epic hunter drop quest, and 50% for a prist chest... anyone have more info on this?

I'm sure there's a lot of more details walkthroughs out there but here's the skinny on killing Domo...
You need 5 good tanks and at least 3 mages. The tanks engage Domo and his four Flamewalker Elite. Meanwhile, the mages each focus on a separate Flamewalker Priest to keep sheeped. Take out the Priests one at a time with massive DPS while the others remain sheeped by a designated mage. Keep them all reasonably separated as there is lots of AoE damage from the Flamewalker Priests. Make sure you keep the warriors tanking Domo and each of his Elites healed too. Once you kill all the priests, then move on to each of the Elites. You don't have to kill Domo and damage against him is a waste of time as once the last of his entourage is killed, he submits.

I think the DBM seems bugged in Classic WoW 2019, because any and all shields are warned as Magic Reflection shield, regardless if its white or purple

You only need to be honored which racks up by killing everything in there.
I hit honored in this run today before reaching Majordomo Executus and having only Majordomo and Ragnaros left Majordomo appeared. I didn't do any of the quests leading up to this point nor did I do anything with the runes.
