A bit of lore from the Thunderfury questline:
"Baron Geddon is described as one of the lieutenants of Ragnaros who carried out the betrayal of Lord Thunderaan, the Prince of Air and otherwise referred to as the "Windseeker." During the Elemental Sundering, Ragnaros sought to consume Thunderaan, and did so by having his two lieutenants, Baron Geddon and Garr perpetrate him. Thunderaan, caught off guard, was utterly destroyed. Ragnaros almost completely consumed Thunderaan's essence, and stored the rest within a talisman of elemental binding. Ragnaros cleaved this talisman into two equal pieces, to which he assigned Baron Geddon and Garr. The bindings are rare drops, both of which gathered can be used to forge Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker."
______________________________________________
Strategy (big, taken from wowwiki.com)
Baron Geddon is usually pulled to Garr's room for an easier fight. Typically the raid is setup in one of three ways:
1. Geddon Line - This strategy involves the group making a line about 40 yards from the mouth of the cave after pulling him. We use a hunter and warrior to pull, getting the warrior the first bomb as a sacrifice. The line spreads out in order to avoid a wipe incase of a bomb that doesnt move, and so we have a clear, easy place to explode.
2. Semi-circle - This strategy is to arrange the group in a *very large* semicircle around the MT, with an opening directed at the tunnel Geddon will be spawning from. When you are the bomb, turn around and run backwards towards the walls of the cave, well out of range of anyone else.
3. Grouped - This strategy involves everyone standing on top of each other. usually on top of Garr's rune. There is one group of people who need to be at 30 yards from the Baron for attacking and another group directly behind them that is out of the range of the Baron's Ignite Mana but still within healing range. When someone becomes a bomb they run away from the group, generally slighty southeast to where the ceiling is low so when they explode they get no falling damage. Using this method requires a lot of trust in your raid-mates to run away when they're the bomb (as well as using a mod to instantly let them know they're the bomb) but by keeping healers and the dispellers out of ignite mana's range saves on mana used dispelling since only mages need to be dispelled.

(continue)
When Baron Geddon starts his inferno all melee dps needs to leave, even the MT. No matter how well geared the MT is, he will have a hard time surviving the inferno (unless he has over 315 FR)(and if he does survive it will cost a lot of healer mana). Beginning groups in MC that can't take the damage may want to have all players do ranged DPS and only allow the MT to get into melee range. Ignite mana should be dispelled, but not from warriors or rogues. Druids, if not otherwise engaged, can shift to bear or cat to eliminate both the mana loss and the damage taken from Ignite Mana until the debuff can be dispelled (see Notes section for a small problem with this strategy for Druids). Whoever is the living bomb MUST run away from the group and blow up by himself. Some groups have everyone else run away from the person with the bomb, but this method means all magic dps and healing stops and is not recommended. It's suggested to try and run to one of the edges of the room where the ceiling is sloped down to stop one from flying up as high. There are places in the room where you don't even leave the ground when you explode. In the case of exploding in an open area, Mages and Priests can use Light Feathers to cast Featherfall or Levitate, which will mitigate the falling damage and increase those classes survivability from being the bomb. Mages can also Ice Barrier, and Priests can Power Word: Shield prior to the explosion to help blunt some of the damage. Mages can use Ice Block and Paladins can use Divine Shield to remove this debuff from themselves. Druids can shift into bear form to absorb some of the explosion damage with their increased health then shift into cat form (if fast enough) while airborne to cut falling damage in half. Druids as well as Shamans can use Nature's Swiftness and Healing Wave to heal while airborne.
This fight is one of the easiest to MT in Molten Core. You must remember that he pulses 9 times each AoE. This fight will be frustrating the first two or three times, but it will quickly become cake when everyone figures out what's going to happen. Using CT_RA and Boss Mods will make identifying the bomb much easier.
You can also let a hunter use Eyes of the Beast to pull Geddon to the Garr room, where the raid is waiting for him standing on the rune, only the Tank will be outside the rune at this point. When Geddon comes the warrior agroes him (there won't be needed more than a hit since the pulling pet have just walked into his agro zone). After the initial agro you let the tank get alot of agro, using Sunder Armor, whereafter the rogues and other warriors engage in melee combat, and when the pulses come they run out and begins shooting at him. I have never tried with the tank running out.
When someone get the bomb they run to the nearby pylons (near the tunnel where Geedon enters) where a priest is standing casting Power Word: Shield on the bomb. The priest should of course be well out of range of the bomb damage.
Combustion does not Affect the crit chance of The Bomb, so don't bother using it if you're plans are to suicide bomb your Raid group at 1%.

A little about pulling Geddon for those unfortunate hunters who are called upon to do so. My class leader left about 2 months into our farming of MC and I was made the puller. Being that this pull happens far out of site, I had no idea what to do, and ended up dying many times before somebody told me what to do.
After clearing the lava packs up to where he patrols (don't forget the one to the right behind the rock) you want to have your pet out. Stand near the exit of the tunnel between Geddon's/Shaz's and Garr's room. Using Eyes of the Beast (yep, that spell you never thought you'd use) take control of your pet. Run up to the rock in front of you near where Geddon passes. Wait for him to come close and attack, or just wait for him to aggro on you. Remove EotB or let your pet die. Doesn't matter. Feign death. Remember that once Geddon is engaged he does combat pulses so your FD won't reset him, just remove any pet aggro from you. Get up quickly, as he will stop and pulse an AoE fire attack and kill you in FD. Move away from him. Once the tank has picked him up, you can run back to your group and comense the DPS.

The problem with Geddon is that
even one idiot can wipe the raid
. That's why this can be done with 27 people. Healing the maintank is trivial since he's the only one that should be taking damage, outside of living bombs and a few ticks from mana burn (which should be getting dispelled right away).
But one guy who doesn't realize he's the living bomb will wipe the raid. That's why the quanitity of players is meaningless, and why the quality is supreme. There are no zergable bosses in MC. This one least of all.

9 ticks, of AoE
Get rogues in, for combo points, and get out.
Come back for Evis. and get out.
Main tank can get out on during the first 2. And Intercept back in right before the 9th AoE ends.
Perfection.
Took only first 2 ticks of dmg. 240 and 450
(Then bandaged outside of the radius)

Well, my first encounter with this guy and his living bombs. First time he made me a bomb, I ran to designated place, no problem. I exploded, and *almost* died. I told to myself: How cool, lets bandage and kick his ass for this. And then BOOM. "You are the living bomb." Twice in a row. Hey, it's not fair:(

Priests have to be assigned to magic dispel duty, as Baron Geddon throws a nasty AoE Debuff called Mana Burn. It uses your own mana against you, draining it and using that drain to injure you. Obviously this doesn't affect warriors or rogues. I've heard mixed reports that it does, and does not affect feral druids, but your druids are really needed to heal the MT, so they should probably not go feral during mana burn anyway. Just have your priests all working on dispels, shammies (or paladins) and druids all healing MT, and you have nothing to worry about.
When someone is the bomb, it's good to have a priest throw a shield on them before exploding, as this greatly increases their survivability. Also you can flash heal them while they're flying in the air, and that helps a bunch.
Now here's a trick I developed without reading it anywhere, and I'm kind of surprised no guides have this technique listed, because there are a lot of bright MC raiders out there. When you are the bomb, go cram yourself into a wall. You know how you can jam into a wall and jump, and you won't? Same thing when you explode, you jam in there and you won't fly up and take extra damage. In fact, Garr's room seems to have been designed by Blizz specifically for this purpose. There's a little lip to the wall and a ledge, that you can cram right into, all around the room.
There you have it. My contribution to the MC intel.

This is prolly my favorite fight in MC and one of the three fights Im not bored to death during (the other two being Shazz due to the way we kill him and Domo as I tank him). Way we kill him is everyone stays in a tight group, not neccesarily on top of eachother but no too spread out. When someone is bomb that person runs to the entrance of the tunnel to Geddon/Shazz's room and blows up there. The player should only take bomb damage. If MT is the bomb just spam heals on him. The magic he does needs to be dispelled too. One thing I noticed is that he usually makes the person who's doing the least in the fight the bomb. We had someone go AFK during the fight and become the bomb 4-5 times during the fight on a few occasions.

OMG i sat and watched this guy get 20 manned yesterday = O. These guys were good....really good. They have downed 10/12 bosses in Naxx and they hosted a PuG MC and half the raid was from Impervious and the other half was mainly my guild. We got blown up in the beginning by someone who wasn't on vent, so half of us died....most of us that died weren't from imp. This was on the FIRST bomb. We were down to about 20 people and he was still at about 90%. I sit and watch and the 20 people left alive own him! I was shocked...

Geddon doesn't do a lot of damage to tanks with good fire resist. If a guild is up in Naxxramas, they have downed ragnaros a long time ago and their tanks will probably have more than 300 fire resist. Cleanse off the ignite mana fast enough and 4 healers will probably be able to hold the tanks up indefinitely, the rest is just slowly dps him down.

i have absolutely no doubt that a full-teir-three 20 man group can... well, 20 man this. this being MC. even with the lack of resists on teir three, easily remediable with resist rings, trinkets, and amulet. tanks might need some dark iron boots of fire resist with a fire resist arcanum on em.. but hey, no ones perfect. btw, that would come out to i believe 78 fire resist from one peice of armor.

That is an Artifact Item. Legendary items are supposed to be Red, and FAR more powerful than that necklace. Artifact items however, are more lore related and tie into the story line, and they're not meant to have the most uber stats, although this one has pretty nice ones.
评论来自
Allakhazam
Randomletters is right. Artifact items are not made to have the best stats-- But they are the rarest. And it's not because of their drop chance, legendary items do have a lower drop chance although none have been implemented. Rather, there is only one of each artifact item per server. Meaning, if you're on this guy's server, you'll never have one. This is because they are directly connected to Warcraft Lore.

Did this guy after 1 wipe. We didn't even have the best setup that day (few mages logged in and they were mostly replaced by rogues who can't live up to their full potential on Baron because they need to dodge Inferno). The idea is to clear all mobs around Garr's room and pull Baron there. The raid stands in a nice, wide semicircle opposite the entrance while Baron is pulled by a hunter's pet (need to clear 1 lava pack in his room for him to be pullable). MT stands in the center of Garr's room and tanks him there while casters and ranged units unload. Of course everyone who is the bomb should immediately run away from the raid, but generally speaking the bomb is only a problem when he casts it on the MT (this will happen once or twice during a fight). Combine this with the fact that Baron is one of the heavier-hitting bosses in MC and you face the possibility of your MT dying. Solution? More tanks. We use 3; if one goes down remaining tanks can pick up the slack and keep him under control.
Hope this helps,
Socom

For this dude, though some may argue, you do not need any fire resistance (except the main tank of course), just a smart group of meleers that can get the timing right. Basically. you have about 15 seconds to run in, smack him, and run out. My guild does this dude every weekend and STILL NO BINDINGS >.<

-Drops were
-Arcanist Mantle
-Cenarion Spaulders
-Aged Core Leather Gloves
This coming Weekend we will delve further into the core, and probably dispatch Golemagg the Incinerator, and Sulfuron Harbinger as well.

Binding Shard is a legendary item. Best indication now is that gold color will be reserved for legendary items from another source affiliated with Blizz, Randomletters using thott for color basis is flawed.
Most likely, both binding shards(legendery items) will be combined to form an artifact item from an npc. Thus, preserving one artifact item of this type per server since event can only be done once.

:((( this is one tough mofo, our raid is still learning but we are getting wooped for 2 nights now, we try to use the tactics but everytime it gets chaotic. It seems like bomb are firing off too fast after another and this always causes 1 bad moment where a heal is fired of a bit too late and the maintank dies. Anyone know what we can try to make this fight be less chaotic? also an example of a ideal raid setup for this fight would be apreciated. thx

This guy has four abilities. They all do fire damage:
Inferno:
Geddon stops in place and pulses a point-blank AoE for several seconds. Melee must run away immediately or die.
Ignite Mana:
This magic-based AoE debuff burns 400 mana every three seconds for 5 minutes. You lose a point of health for every point of mana burned. Priests and paladins must dispel this immediately on casters. This is harmless if you have no mana. Hunters can unload mana gear, use up mana, and rely on auto-shot. You can't bandage with this on you, so use greater fire protection potions, instead.
Living Bomb:
The single victim blows up for thousands of points of damage to himself and everyone nearby, then flies up in the air to take fall damage. Run away from the raid to the wall when this happens to you. Use fire protection potions, resistance, and a priest shield to survive the explosion damage. Ice mages can use ice block to avoid the problem entirely. Use low ceilings and a midair heal/potion to survive fall damage. Geddon does this around every 20 seconds.
Last Service to Ragnaros:
At 2%, Geddon blows up for 8000 damage to anyone near him. Back away.

Form a circle in Garr's room and pull him in. Leave empty space between the circle and the wall. When the bombs run to the walls, you want them to be alone there. Distribute priests and paladins evenly around the circle so that they can dispel the mana burn DoT on everyone.
The main tank will probably be the bomb first, as he's the only one with aggro. Heal him in midair.
Once the tank has aggro, melee runs in, takes a few swipes, then runs out to do ranged damage. They can run in again after he completes his next "Inferno" attack.
Even the main tank must run out while he does Inferno. The first few pulses aren't bad, but the last few will kill anything.
The most important thing is that whoever is the bomb must not blow up near anyone else.

Everyone else stood in a line infront of the cave and guys who got bombed ran back into the cave to avoid killing the raid.
