This guy is very easy. He has a chain lightning type attack that has no range limit. Tank and spank fight with some healing on all party members or some well timed bandages.
Easy loot all round.

It's certainly not necessary, but if you are just learning this zone or if you are slightly undergeared, a bit of arcane resist (especially on the tank, but to an extent for everyone) can make this fight a lot smoother.

The first of the three Rift bosses. He will spawn in the place of a Rift Lord at the 6th rift opening. The others come at the 12th and 18th rift openings.

This instance suck if you don't have an incredible good group!
- Not long time to rec
- Nearly impossible to change players in middle of it
- Extreme DPS needed (Especially at bosses)
- Good teamwork BUT also good solo play. (Especially add killer)
At this boss I'd highly recommend *Rogues*. They do *Fair* damage (Depending specc) and can CoS at AoE.
Boss: Tank'n'Spank - Need good DPS & Good heal.
2nd boss: Need EXTREME dps (ALL on it) clear adds quickly afterwards.
3rd unknown atm. :p

If you get some guy who says "I can heal" and is elemental / retribution / shadow etc spec'd don't even bother, best to get a proper tank too if you can and you also need v good dps so be well buffed with potions. Completing the quest to help open the dark portal gives I think over 8000 rep so its well worth doing.

Don't try and save your beacons for the last boss either he just dispels, runs straight to the sheild and tries to take it down, this gives you time to drink, use it.

In Black Morass heroic mode, an
Infinite Chrono-Lord
appeared for my group on wave 6 instead of Chrono-Lord Deja on our second attempt. He had all the exact same spells and abilities... but no loot and no badges. :(
I believe he appeared because we did not "reset" the instance, we just waited for Medivh to die and respawn. In fact, heroic instances *cannot* be reset, they all can only be run once per day. So, to prevent people from "farming" the first boss of heroic Black Morass, Blizzard made it so that Chrono-Lord Deja cannot be killed more than once per attempt. If you fight wave 6 a second time, Infinite Chrono-Lord appears instead of Chrono-Lord Deja.
Kind of lame, but it makes sense; there's a reason that heroic instances aren't resettable.

HEROIC
mode only:
Chrono-Lord Deja will randomly pull ranged party members through the air towards him. He will not pull everyone in; party members are targetted at random. After doing this, he will often cast a medium-range Arcane Explosion. When he pulls people in, be sure to run out of the blast range immediately.
Sometimes he will use his area-slow-effect after pulling people in. In this case it may be helpful to have a priest or shaman dispel the slowness while running out, at least on themselves.

Ever since the last patch the level of difficulty has gone waaaaay down. I did it very easily with a group with part blue and aprt green items

lol melmortas bow good for rogue/warrior? nah if they roll over a hunter that needs that they're most likely called weapon hogger. anytime a rogue/warrior or both wants 1 and the hunter has something better or uses a different range weapon, rogue/warriors get to roll on it.

Suggestion for this dungeon.
Get a proper tank(Warrior - Druid) the druid should be full blue.
Get a proper healer, druids with ToL work really well in this instances as no mob or boss hit hard, and HoT are best to keep alive your tank while stunned at last boss or while healing whos on adds.
DPS:
-u must have a rogue with good gear to DPS the bosses as they come out, usually hunters get oom very fast and there is no much time for them to drink as u have to run around to catch the new portals wich is going to open after the one ur doing.
-second rogue is a good option but other dps classes are welcome, hunters can do misdirection targeting the tank so u can drop more dps without stealing aggro from tank.
-last DPS class should be a mage, and should be used to control the adds wich is gonna spawn on each portal. Elemental shammies also can do great but mage is better. Dont think about getting a rogue/hunter/boomink/shadowPriest on the adds unless ur group is good on epics and ure doing normal mode. If skilled a Dps warrior can handle the job of the adds.
Positioning:
-Tank -> should stay next to the rift and do his obvius job and take the hits :P
-Melee dps -> behind boss as usual.
-Mage(or whos takig care of the adds) should stay on the way from the rift to Medivh, as the spawns ignore the tank and other classes and go right to the portal. Remeber to stay in range with your healer to get healed when needed.
-Healer -> max range from tank and keep an eye for ranged dps. As a resto druid i target the melee dps behind the bosses then go at max range from them, whisper to the mage to be behind me and that is enough to keep all healed all the time. Its like ure gonna form a line from the rift to the portal and you are right in the middle.
Strategy:
Drink whenever u can, if u dps fast u'll be able to drink after each rift. A mage can drink always after each rift coz the mobs spawn after 20 sec of engaging the boss. As a resto druid with 400 int and 405 spirit i was able to do each pack of 6 rifts always at full mana. I think the second boss is the harder one, a tactic can be: when the debuff is going too high the tank can charge a mob spawned to get out of range quick and get the debuff off. Anyway a warrior can survive easily with a ToL if the DPS is quick enough. At last boss is a good idea to load the tank with HoTs, like : wait for tank to be 70% HP then cast regrowth, rejuvenation, lifebloom and trigger Nature's sfiftnesss, with a fast Dps group you can get the boss down in 45 sec just refreshing lifebloom and rejuvenation. Remember to stay away from his face and behind him to avoid the sand breath.
Strategy if u dont have a mage:
If ure group is full of melee dps or hunters dont bother killing the adds by urselfs, summon one chrono beacon at each boss and dps him straight away, the faster the boss die the less adds will come, and the more rest ull have, anyway this tactic will lead to a risk for the shield(tried myself with 3 rogues and had the shield at 50% at the end).
Here was my suggestions to down the boss, good luck with this instance.

This pretty much covers the bosses, assuming you know everything else.
Group make up: Tank (Prot Pally, Feral Druid, or Warrior), Hunter (required), Priest (required), Mage (optional, but very helpful), DPS (or pretty much anything)
WAVE 6 -- Boss 1:
-He does an AoE lightning strike to all players that does 2k damage; have a Priest spam AoE heals when he does this.
-Not very difficult.
WAVE 12 -- Boss 2:
-Have 1-2 players put a Beacon on Medivh to guard him from adds and completely ignore the adds; you need to kill him as fast as possible. Do not use Beacons on boss 2; they will glitch and the guards will disapear in seconds.
-He does a stacking debuff on the tank that reduces healing on tank by 10%(1 debuff) upto 100% (10 debuffs); he also berserks which stacks about 5 of these debuffs in a few seconds.
-Immune to taunt
-Have your priest use Dispell magic after every heal; his berserk is magic based and can be removed. This litterally saves your ass and is the most important thing about this boss. Removing his berserk turns this fight from nearly impossible into a cakewalk. He uses Berserk about 4-5 times during the fight so once wont cut it.
-Optional: If you don't have all DPS, use your Mage's Spellsteal on the tank around 5-6 debuffs. It will remove the effect off of him but it has the downside of really pissing him off and possibly killing your Mage.
-The 2 tanks offtanking strategy is extremely unreliable since even if one tank stops attacking, he cannot break aggro without Taunt very easily at all.
WAVE 18 -- Last Boss:
-Do not immediately attacking him on sight; he will charge Medivh and attack him. If Medivh is at a 100% it takes about 5 minutes to kill him which is far more than you need to mana and buff.
-This is only fight with no adds, only him.
-This guy does a hell of alot of damage in a few seconds; make sure your healer has Pots and anything else to keep up mana.
-Face him away from group; does a cone blast that does 3k
-Does a Time Stop move that freezes everyone for a seconds but he does not stop attacking; make sure your tank is always at +90%hp at all times
-Use your Hunter's Tranq shot, this will heavily reduce his DPS and will litterally save your ass. Doing this with two hunters will make this fight incredably easy.
-If you use your remaining beacons, use all of them at once.

Hunter and Priest are not a MUST.
We have done it with tank fury warr mage warlock (warlock took care of adds during all fights) and me as resto druid.
Just take down elites fast,use max 2 beacons for 2nd boss and the rest for last one.
It's quite easy with a good group :)
