Druid Soloable, can use line of sight behind where he is standing, not needed though.
Frost mages just have to nuke him hard and when he gets on top of you, iceblock so he goes on the water elemental. Go out of IB and you should have enough time to finish him off. Be sure to clear the patrolling dogs, as you will need a bit of room for kiting.
BM hunter, full cooldowns, tank and spank. Pet dead at 15%, raptor strike and immo trap to the kill. He hits hard, so don't waste time healing pet.
May need a health pot.
Soloed with my shadow priest lvl 68 :) you need some pots if you want to have a chance.
Easily soloed him as a shaman, just dropped my earth elemental and nuked him
Soloed by holy priest... easy :D
Did this solo as a protection-spec warrior with 12k health unbuffed. I basically just used spell reflection until he died...hits himself pretty hard :p.
Soloed as 70 Rogue (Combat spec) - Mind-numbing on both weapons, evasion & AR to start, had time to stop most of his spells, and used a heal pot... Had 1k out of 8.5k HP left at the end of it...
really easy to solo as 70 warlock, destro specc.
open spank4life! he has like 22k hp, thats like 10 SB's counting some crits :D plus i surely dotted him first, no need for running, keeel-!
One thing to watch out for that I didn't see anyone mention was the fact that this guy has a knockback attack. While it's not very powerful, it was enough to throw me off the ledge as I kited him around the building and killed me. Luckily my DoTs killed him as I fell, but still.
holy easy.. just let pet tank.. owned him in a minute..
Warriors pop out your shield and Spell Reflection every time you see him casting Chain Felfire -- It hits for 1.5k fire damage so he'll take himself down until you can spam your executes.
Don't bother with shield wall, as his attack speed is really slow and his cast time is about 3 seconds, it won't last more than 3 or so hits. Get a pot ready, I had to pop one while wearing full tanking gear. Just stay in battle stance after the charge, drop a thunderclap when it needs to be refreshed, keep up shouts and wait for him to wear himself down. 20% he'll have about 4-5k hp, should take 2-4 executes to finish him off. Not as easy as the other comments above, but for a warrior taking down an elite mob.... easy.
soloed as lvl 70 assassination rogue. Just remember to kick, CoS or Kidney Shot when he cast his spell
Soloed as a 70 Destruction Warlock. Sent in the pet with dots. Started nuking to pull agro. When he got to me, Soulshatter so he runs back to the void, then start nuking like crazy. Sacrifice the voidwalker and continued nuking. I didn't try fearing, assumed he was immune. Curse of Tongues helped to lower his DPS.
He's fairly easy for Rogues, just keep him stunned/kicked as good as you can and maybe have a Health Pot/Bandage ready.
Don't forget to kick as late in the casting time as possible, so you get less melee hits.
To add to the comments, when I fought him, he cast sleep on me for a period of time, so if you're kiting him, watch out for that (it can be dispelled if you have someone else with you). In regards to strategy, he is quite easy. As a holy priest, I simply bubbled, put a renew/prayer of mending on myself, dotted him with shadow word: pain, and ran him around the building. Sometimes he will reverse direction, but if you have a bubble, it shouldn't be a problem - just reverse directions. About five minutes later, loot him and fly away! =) I'm sure this strategy will work also with any class that has a DoT. I've never played a warrior or melee class, so I'm not sure about you guys. I had a dog spawn on top of me as well, but if you keep running around he should be no problem - just make sure to keep the DoT up and you can kill the dog afterwards.
Feral druids can solo this guy at level 70. You don't need any special feral skills, but the damage increse from the feral tree helps. Just keep interrupting his spells with Maim or Bash and he will go down. I did it in cat form, if you get low on HP swift out, use Barkskin and heal.
For a Frost Mage without the Elemental, it will be very hard to solo. You can try to kite him around the building, however he can't neither be slowed nor be frost nova'd.
Just use Ice Barrier and Fire Ward as often as you can, and never stay close to him. He can be counterspell'd, however I don't suggest you to. When he's casting his Chain Spellfire, you have the time to cast one or two frostbolts. Fire Ward should absorb everything anyway.
I don't suggest you to use Mana Shield if you don't have the arcane talent "Improved Mana Shield". I used it and when he had only 200hp left, I was totally out of mana. Couldn't finish him and I died. Pretty frustrating.
These are my advices for this boss as a mage, just do it how you like.
Another Prot Warr here.. 10k unbuffed and had some 6k after the guy was dead cake, as they say spellreflect the fire thingy and keep spamming shieldblock in def stance and you wont even need pots or anything, i didnt and i only block for some 200 dmg or so.
70 fury warrior here. This may sound crazy but I soloed this guy like he was a joke today. It took 1 pot, but that was because I missed a pummel. I point my success on the dual Demonslaying enchants I have on my weapons. I managed to get the stun to proc. on 3 of the 5 chain helfire spells he cast. And I basically manhandled him. I got the enchants for grinding Marks in Shadowmoon, couldn't be happier.
Soloed as an affliction lock, pile on the DoTs, when the VW is about to die, sacrifice him, then keep DoTing and Spamming Shadow bolt until he dies. I used 1 healthstone.
Soloed this as a lvl 70 hunter with beastmastery. Sent in pet and kept it healed at all times and just fired away. Just in case pet dies just freeze trap the boss and res pet. That should do the trick for the final amount of damage. However, I did this easily without having to rez my pet.
As a BM hunter myself, using your pet with fire resistance rank 5 helps a lot, my pet never died in battle. 35% reduction in fire damage is helpful, at end of fight my pet has 1800 health, as I was healing during battle as well.
soloed him as 70balance druid didn't let my treants die in the beginning of the fight by pulling aggro all to myself so they can help down him but chain felfire took 2 of them out quickly and good thing is he's not immune to cyclone giving me enough time to shift out, healing touch , back to moonkin and innervate
Soloed this guy as a 70 protection pally.
Tip: There is a small wall to the left of where he is standing that you can keep running around and get out of LOS the instant he starts casting his fireball.
By moving around that wall as he casts, it stops the cast and gives you a few more seconds of beating on him before he casts again. Keep doing this and you'll down him. Slow and steady.
soloed with 69 affliction warlock ; ( he's about 52 , 19 )
immune fear , immune enslave ; but banishable ...
for an affli lock ;
begin with 2 shadow bolts then banish , let vw aggro him , and the rest : banish - healthfunnel - s.bolt - drain life ..
takes some long but works ;) ...
Spawn @ 54,22
70 Shadow Priest - Soloable without retard gear of unemployedness
He stands at 53,21.
He isn't immune to silence and other forms of CC.
Solo'd him as a 70 MM Hunter easily.
Just keep mend pet chained.
I misdirected agro onto the pet at the start of the fight just to be safe.
Easy soloable lvl 70 Feral Druid.
Only had to shift out once, then it just was cyclone , healing touch, regrowth then back cat and finish.
All you non-feral druids, this is how you solo the quest!
Be sure to clear out the dog first, if there is one wandering around. Then direct your attention to Culuthas. Open with a Starfire, DoT him up, and run around the building. He needs LoS for his spells so he shouldn't be able to land one on you if you are constantly moving to the other side of the wall. If you're balance, you could stay in oomkin form if you like. If he manages to hit you with physical attacks, the mitigation will definitely help. Or you can stay in caster form if you want to be able to toss some HoTs on yourself. It doesn't matter. A few laps around the building, and he should be dead!
u can complete alone , i m hunter mms and i did , first kill mobs around and then be easy , look in screenshot's and good luck
Immune to Blind
Fully soloable as a rogue.Popped this guy right up with nuking
+evasion.Kept him stunlocked as long as i could and its nice to have 1 pot with u although i didnt need to use it as i had 3k life when i was done with him.Hit for 650 on me and interrupted his spell(didn't know what it did but i dont think it was a good thing).
I think all classes can solo this guy ez.
As a warlock just curse of doom + rank 2 banish + rank 1 banish when the first of the banish ends... then wait for the curse of doom to dot him... then start over - takes a few minutes but it works :)
solod as ele shamy (orc) popped fire elemental, vengeance of illidari, bloodfury, & ele mastery, keep up grounding and you will destroy him
he's always at 53,21
Simple for a fire mage to solo, start off with hard nukes and blink when he gets near. CS spellcasts and make sure Mana Shield is up.
He is probably impossible to solo for a frost mage, since he is immune to snares.
just to add to the collection of class solo downs, downd him as a 70 marks hunter (nelf) with the scorpid pet from shadowmoon, my pet only had 5000 hp buh he never went past half health. so all in all hes pretty ez so try to solo nd if u cant than just geta group nd he will be easy.
Straight forward for feral tanks, regrowth or lifebloom when you start your fight, demo roar and start spamming mangle and maul. If you start to get low use frenzied regeneration by now he should be around 60%. Spam mangle and maul again, once you see him start to use Chain hellfire back up and charge to interupt should be dead in no time
Solo as prot paladin.
Bubble-bandage and a health pot used.
Just judged wisdom on him and kept exorcising when available.
Soloed as resto druid in feral gear.
I suggest using cat form, because of maim when he starts to cast.
Use the corners to stop hes casting, its very helpful and hardly got any casts on me.
soloed him as 69 balance druid, pretty easy, with a little heal
Heyyyy all you hunters out there, i got some encoragement for ya.
We usually read about almost ever other class being able to "easily solo" something.
Well, this time we are included in the group (=
Ima lvl 70 BM hunter, i was able to aim and shoot (and heal my pet) and he was down for the count. no running around his lil thrown thing. just bash his face in. good luck ^.^
prot pally, soloed him. I'm not geared as a 70 either so that's gotta say something about how crap he is. I needed to use lay on hands but that's cause I didn't have a mana potion, if I did I could have just hit him with another judgement of righteousness and exorcism and he would have gone down easy.
Solo'd this as a level 68 affliction lock. 41/18 spec. No use of healthstones etc only buffs were Bloodpact and Felarmour. 9.2k health, 6.5k Mana, 385 Spell Damage.
Was simple enough. Opened with a shadowbolt quickly followed by Unstable Affliction. I then started to run round the building DoTing up as I went. I stopped every so often to recast UA. Was simple enough I only took damage because my frame rate started to lag for no reason.
Just keep out of LOS unless you need to recast UA
Good luck :)
Solo'ed as a 70 Holy pala with mostly def gear.
The clue to this fight is to take the hellfires, as he runs out of mana after 4-6 casts.
(had to use Lay on Hands, but that is when pala REALLY comes in handy=P)
located @ 53,21
Solo'd as a 70 Marksman hunter. Pet survived entire fight and was at about 20% health at the end.
He's got low mana so I opened up with Viper Sting and got rid of it all, then his slow melee could not keep up with my DPS.
Immune to Concussive Shot and Frost Trap, but there was no kiting necessary.
Soloed Culuthas and Hound of Culuthas as a lvl 70 holy paly 6.8k health unbuffed 7.2k mana.
Possibly a reference to Cthulhu.
rogue soloed culuthas 10k hp. just use cloak of shadows and a lot of kicks and he will go down
soloed him as a 70 fire mage, on my second try. used 1 healing pot, and ice block half-way through. just start from max distance burn him down half way, blink and finish him. easy once you realize he just hits hard.
Solo'ed him in PVP Glad gear arms spec warrior - used recklessness and 1 health potion, along with my trinket for ap and killed him with 800 health to spare ;)
Solo'd as a 70 Shadow Priest with green sorcerer gear.
Start off with Vamp Touch and sw:p, follow with vampiric embrace cuz he's going to start damaging you real quick, even with shield up. Mind Blast and follow with 2 mind flays, your shields going to be down at this point so shield up again, mind blast and you're going to have to put Vamp Touch on him again..
Just keep the 2 DoT's very active on him, Mind Blast when you can, and keep shielding yourself so you can Mind Flay.
He is immune to fear.
But not immune to Undead Devouring Plague.
Tried him twice, both times took about 5-6000 mana with re-shielding and using inner focus for devouring plague.
Soloed as lvl 70 arms warrior.
Recklessness + Death Wish left me with 6k hp (50% of my total)
He got one spell through but it didn't really bother :P
Used 2 Pummels.
Easier than with spell reflection tbh.
Soloed as a pre-heroic, pre-kara geared Holy/Disc Healing specced Priest. Wasn't too hard, just keep at him with smite and Mind blast, and try to keep up shield on you and Shadow word pain on him. Be careful for his knockback attack, he might knock you of the cliff. I did well when he did it, because I had full health.
Shadowfiend is your friend, as always.
I think you will manage.
Just solo'd him as a 70 Holy/Disc priest. (100% PvE healing spec, not a Smite build, 0 points in Shadow)
About 600 Shadow Damage in my damage gear.
Ran around the building putting a SW:P on him every time he stopped to felfire and ducking around the building. He never hit me once, melee or spell.
Annoying part was the hound respawned, I just chain psychic screamed him.
HEY GUYS I SOLO'ED HIM ON MY <INSERT CLASS> LOOOOOLLLL YESSS 30+ COMMENTS ABOUT SOLO'ING HIM.
Also, he's stationary. Found him at 53.5, 21.6
soloed him as holy pally, took a little long, also had aggroed a hound of culuthas, so used some consecration, exorcism, holy shock, etc, had to bubble and heal but thats it
soloed as prot pala with half blue half green
just kept line of sight every time he tried to cast. not too hard.
Very Easily soloable with a shaman
You dont need earth elemental to tank or anything, i used it cause i thought it was gonna be hard
I just used shamanistic rage my bladefist's breadth and blood lust just for fun and i downed him in like 20 seconds
(I have s1gear and lots of greens so dont worry)
found out for kicks that he can't be enslaved
Easy as frost mage. Just use frost elemental as tank and spam frost bolt with icy veins
Soloed him as a level 70 protection spec warrior, here's how:
1. Clear the adds in the general vicinity, first try I had a hound screw me up.
2. Pull him, debuff his damage as much as possible, Demoralizing shout, thunder clap, ect.
3. Here's the important part; Spell reflect the majority of his fel fireballs, he will dps himself down. Those which you cannot spell reflect, interrupt, as they are rather nasty.
4. Once he is within 20% of his life, do like any right minded warrior, and execute spam him to death.
Well, at least, that's how I did it, I used a major healing pot, because I'm cheap that way, and killed him with 500hp to spare. I used full tanking gear, to mitigate his hits as much as possible.
Good luck, and I hope this helps someone!
i solod this guy as def tank, just use spell reflect and shield bash and u end up killing him with still more then 50% of ure total hitpoints (have about 11000 hitpoints)
First of all kill the hound near him (since it will !@#$ up this tactic if youdon't). Then get full HP/mana. You have probably noticed the "house" he stands on. We'll use this to kite him around.
Open with your strongest spell + whatever trinket you got, then use FB (fireblast) to DPS him while you are running away around the corner, (Ice Barrier is of good help here, but you can pull it off with pots etc. if needed) he will get to you at some point, but dont worry, he'll hit you and then start to cast a spell. That spell is your help to pull this off, it will help you to get range.
If you just keep running and using FB every time it's up, you should pull this off easily.
Ok it was REALLY hard to kill a 70 elite as a 69 survival hunter but here's how i did it
Note: you need to be: 13/0/47 for this to work or something like that
1.pull him with serpent sting and arcane shot
2.let him come to you with a snake trap layed
3.sick your pet on him and let it die don;t waste mana on keeping it alive
4.use deterence and as soon as you can counter attack USE IT and run backwards so your pet gets aggro if you get it back use feign death and run again
5. by now you should lay another snake trap and and hope one gives it mind-numbing
6. once rdy use rapid fire and keep shooting and melee till it dies if needed bring some potions or bandages
(Note: if using bandages use readiness and put a freeze trap and hope he ain't immune :D and use potions bandages and everything else then)
Easiest elite I've ever been able to solo.
How to do it:
1) Clear the hounds in front of him.
2) Cast shield on yourself, then cast SW:P on him.
3) Simply kite him around the building he is standing on. Casting SW:P and PW:Shield's as needed. If you run low on mana, you can always use your shadowfiend. If you're a bit far ahead of him when he casts Felfire, it will miss you.
Simple. Just rinse and repeat and you'll have him down in no time. You can also cast the occasional Smite.
I did this as a Holy/Disc priest.
It was piece of cake as a 70 fury warrior. Just used commanding shout for more hp. Had to use a pot and trinket but its easy. As long as you crit nicely it can be soloed.
dropped fire elemntal totem and kept it healed hit him with my 2h wile i wasent healing(i have 11 points in enhancement)
This guy is pretty easy for a 70 elite, i used my bubble but that was all, fell like a sack o potatoes
soloed as protection paladin, 1h and sheild, no bubble used, he hits like a wuss
I killed him myself as a rogue. Yeah it wasnt easy but you will need a healing pot. That is honestly the only way because he hits for 800-1200+. You have to make sure that you use mindnumbing poison in your offhand and crippling poison in your main. When he goes to cast his spell you must either stun him or kick him. If this hits once ... well ... your f__ked.
soloed by 70 proc warrior, shield bash and reflection and shield block
i soloed him as a feral druid. he is easy if you do it right, although his magic is very nasty. i went bear from the start. fight was like this:
1) killed a hound near the cliff and pulled culuthas there.
2) enrage +faerie fire +demoralizing roar
3) mangle +laceratex5 +maul (till you are about 10% hp)
4) then bash him, pop out of bear form and war stomp (sorry elves!), cyclone +heal, innervate, cyclone +heal again
5) shift to bear again and finish him off!
***remember to use an trinket you may have
i hope it helps.
soloed as holy/ret pally. bubbled once. I have blues and greens. easy.
Solo'd him as a level 70 fury warrior
Charge in Debuff(dem.shout, sunder ect)
switch to Bezerker, cancel out spells, keep hitting bloodthirst, then when execute comes up spam that. done. : > )
Nothing special, killed him like I would anything else. Used Shadowfiend, and two Silences.
He got me to 25% of 7811 health. 599+ dmg/heal.
What a puss! I was worried that I was underestimating him, being a 70 elite...
Weakest 70 elite ever. Granted I'm a lock, but I didn't use any special tricks on him - just tank n' spanked him with my VW. Used a healthstone, but still ended up with just under half health.
Dotted him up, shadowburn, spam shadowbolt. Didn't even have to reapply my dots. My VW even made it out alive.
Oh, I also created a SS, but I forgot to use it, lol. Would've been a waste of a shard.
I sorta soled it as a 70 druid
but a nice friendly ally druid passed by and helped me
I was on low hp and he could of ganked me..but he didnt <3
Super easy for a 70 elite. Didn't use anything special; just Frostbolts and a Counterspell. Went down way too quick between me and my elemental. Didn't take a hit.
He does have a Sleep spell as well as Shadowfury; not sure if this works the same as the Warlocks or not because it didn't hit me, but my Water Elemental seemed to be unaffected if there was in fact a stun involved.
You'll probably only have 1-2 dogs to clear and you'll be able to make quick work of him.
Edit: Careful when you turn this quest in. I finished it and alt-tabbed to post this comment and when I looked back at the game I was being attacked by a pair of BE NPCs :X
All part of the quest, but it's something to keep in mind (^.^)
this guy shoudlnt be called an elite i easily soloed as a 69 enhancement shammy, lay earth eleental let him tank him while u DPS him and just heal him when needed
Yeah... he definitely doesn't deserve to be called an elite. That is all.
corner-pull him behind his hut and dps him there, the dogs don't agro.
soloed with 70 feral druid in bear, 25% hp, used frenzied regeneration.
Soloed him with Arcane Mage 70, no epics, no d3 set. Killed him once, realized I only handed the previous quest and didn't take the new one (erratic as usual). Came back and killed him again on my own. First time use one potion, second time managed to do without any self-healing, 30% health left (total of 5993). No problems really.
Ulvi, 70 Mage, Moonglade (EU)
jus solo'd as a 69 drood lol bash will be your favourite move heal and bear again had to use innervate tho
got him to 3% first try
and i'm a little bit newb =)
70 aff warlock, crap gear..
pwned his ass 2nd round
i beat him by kiting him around his building. running around it makes his spells cancel half way because of line of sight.
70 prot warrior easily soloed him, just rememebr to spell reflect shield slam, shield bash and cuncussion blow are required to solo him if you are a warrior
As a feral druid, this guy is cake to solo. Even though pounce missed, I still had no trouble taking him down; mangle, rake, mangle, rip once you have 5 points, build up 5 more, maim, and heal. By this point he was at like 30% hp. Go back into catform and finish him off, shouldn't even need a second heal, let alone an innervate. I'm geared for tanking, so my def is high and AP is low; you should have no trouble soloing this at lv 70, just don't forget to clear adds around him first or you might have a bit of a headache there. He seems to have no fear, no stun, and fairly low AP; nothing to really bother you with at all so just burn him down fast.
70 Destruct Lock Solo
Wiped on him the first time, rookie mistakes.
Took a minute to think about it and strategize and took him down on the second attempt wthout a problem.
1. Sent Void
2. Dotted with Curse of Doom, Seed of Corruption, Immolate
3. Popped Power Trinket
4. Hit him with Soul-Fire which drew aggro
5. Had Shadowfury ready when he got in range and hit him with that.
6. Life Drain
7. Death Coil
8. Life Drain
9. Curse of Doom finished him off.
10. You wave goodbye to Culuthas. Farewell.
soloed as 69 enchancement shammy. grounding totem and earthshock ftw =)
freaking soloed him as a 69 ret pally! :)
As a paladin, don't worry about surviving just dps the hell out him.
When you are at low health, bubble, heal, and then dps IN the bubble if you can lol, prot and retribution can FOR SURE and so if you can use it holy guys use your shock :)
Then, after his health is down, dps him until you are about to die, and LAY ON HANDS!
You MAY want to use a mana pot, maybe, maybe not, but in the end you just want to dps him, since his hits are like 1000 damage but he only has like 22K health :)
This works better for retadins as we only have like a little bit of mana, so we're out by then, but if you HAVE left over mana after bubbling then I would use it in any kind of dps form available lol
Also, I used fire resistance the whole fight, and after looking at the battle, it said that with it I absorbed like 600 to 700 of his fire attack, better to keep up and absorb like 600 damage then like use devotion arua and absorb 50 of his normal hits lol
IMO, if he was a typical mob of any sort I'd call him a clothie, since all he does is cast fireball and has low health adn armor lol
I soloed this guy, lvl 70 frost mage, pvp gear on and i used WE and nuked him, when i got aggro and he broke my ice shield for the second time i used ice block, and he attacked my WE, then I fire blasted him and he died, this fight was about 30 seconds and i didn't even get 50% hp. Goodluck.
V.easy, Soloed lvl 70 shadow priest with pvp gear, lose 500 life
Easy for a combat spec rogue, use mind numbing poison OH, deadly MH, and kick to interrupt his casting.
He is also stunnable, so open with Cheap Shot, add a couple of combo points then hit him with kidney shot, once he comes out of that activate evasion + blade flurry + adrenaline and burn him like crazy.
I still had ~5k/7.5k HP when he went down, very easy.
Solo'd on a 70 holy spec priest with minimal kara gear :)
Got him to 50% as 70 elemental shaman with crappy gear...He killed me by throwing me out from the cliff with shadowfury :C
i had him down to about 20% hp left as a 68 demonology warlock.
got him to 6% health second time
Soloed As a Marksman / Survival Hunter.
Kited him down the road, Had pet take him, heal pet, aggroed on me, Feing death, keep dpsing, aggroed Again, Freeze trapped, after freeze he was 20% health left, scatter shotted him, feinged death, Aimed shot, Arcane shot, And dead.
2nd time i died cause he knocekd me off my mount...-_-
Is there a quest for this?
Killed him easily on the first try. I starfired him up, moonfire, insect swarm, and wrath. Used my trees for some extra help, and used a pot (it was unnecessary, i could have just healed). Throw on rejuvination and regrowth and he was down after a few more wraths. Pretty simple. And I've got some crappy gear. :) He resists entangling roots though, fyi. :(
Easily soloable, was slightly surprised. :)
Completed the quest Full Triangle in no time.
He is at 53.21, for those of you without coords, he can be found North of the letter "F" in "of" in "Ruins O
Farahlon" on the map.
Was a lil iffy about solo-ing, as an enhanced shaman was easy enough though. Have your grounding totem ready, also earthshock will interrupt him. :) Goodluck on your quests.
Btw once done turn is easy, I heard quite a few people couldn't find turn in spot. It says in log go back to Stormspire -(45.35)- to Nexus-Prince Haramad. He's just above the 2nd "S" in the word "Storm
pire" on the map.
I solod this guy as a 69 ret spec pally I didn't use any pots and i was self buffed and I had almost half of my hp left when I killed him
Easily soloable as an affliction Lock. I just dot and drain tank, piece of cake.
shield bash + spell reflection
Wonder if they changed this. I'm looking right at him and it says 70 elite :/ Welp Protection Warrior 70... gonna go find out.
Yep, he's elite. I started without my shield, DW'ing. After he snuck the 1st spell off I Outfitted to shield, pop'd a potion, and managed to reflect and bash every other spell. hits for about 200ish I think. Very close fight solo.. ended up with HP pot on CD and 1500 HP left of 12,000+ hp. Use your shield warriors! Spell reflect hurt him waaaaay more than I could lol.
Edited, Nov 15th 2007 9:16pm by GYFFORD
Cheap Shot, doot doot, evasion, doot doot, kick, stun, kick, snd, expose armor, whatever = dead. didn't need or use any other cooldown or trinket.
Make sure to fight him on the platform if you're gonna solo him. He does a decent sized knockback that shot me off the ledge. I barely survived the fall & got to run away, but I wasted a 20 minute cooldown.
I just solo'd this as a 31/30/0 priest. Using dmg gear, adept's elixit, and + spell dmg food, I downed him. Only had about 50hp left, but I did kill him.
soloed easily as 70 enhancement shaman, just keep earth shocking his spells...didn't use a single heal
Somewhat tricky, but yet soloable at lvl 69 as a feral druid. Didn't figure I'd be able to, but did. So, 70s shouldn't have too big of a problem.
Cthulhu's back and now he's in TBC!
We all know who the first reference to Cthulhu was. Don't we?
Just now soloed this guy with a 68 Afflic Lock, pulled out my Felhunter and kept kiting him around his platform, he cannot be feared nor kited with Exhaustion, But he IS Banishable.
I Banished him at 40% and pulled out the Felhunter, and started to kite him around his platform. Everytime he was almost finished casting his Fel fire ball thing I would let my Felhunter Spell Lock it, Felhunter did the rest of the 40% health damage.
Cause, My Lock was a bit too squishy to drain tank it...
As a couple other comments have said, kiting him around his dome works well. I was able to do it as a 70 holy priest (slowly) with just SW:P and Mind Blast. Just keep running around and keep him dotted (and yourself bubbled), he only hit me a couple times. Was very happy!
Kiting around his stand is best. Super easy as an spriest but could be done by anyone with DOT/quick cast abilities. He cannot be feared but he CAN be silenced. Just LOS his spells. He'll stand still to cast. He only melee'd me a couple times for ~650 cause I was slow lol.
